Extra! In this AU finally the Knight (I call him Brend) is married to the Bard (I call him Dorian) who is alive and healthy for ONCE, so if something happens to him the Knight will kill everyone and then himself LOL sorry

What I think would be cool to conceptualize and put into the story: Ballroom scene where Jon and Marto dance around in fancy clothes and be in luv 🥰

What my brain instead gets ideas for: Dinner time at court filled with absurd etiquette politics and the other fairies being passive-aggressive to each other and at Jon's prince status while Martin tries not to mess up Fairy dinnertime manners and gets caught in the crossfire of backhanded compliments and veiled threats

Wow, it's been a while since I've been here (no thanks to college) and I missed SO MANY stuff! First order of business: FaeAU!Xornoth needs a break, FaeAU! Scott needs to set his love life straight, and Empires S1 being MCD's wierd neighbors from across the sea? I can totally see Shad and Exor vibing together in the Nether (or fighting for dominance over who should run that place).

Bold of you to assume Scott is ever going to get anything "straight" lmao.

Ikr? I think Shad would feel threatened by Exor and Exor and Xornoth would absolutely trounce him.

Hi, this is the original Technodad-FaeAU Anon and I got a little bit of free time so I wrote something simple for it. Here you go:

They’ve been at this same song and dance since they had first met those few months ago, back in October. Back in October, the mushrooms had been spreading rapidly in the damp dark weather, and Techno had thought it a good time to make a visit to the human realm. Not many people came to his part of the forest, with its twisted paths and confusing signs and muddy floor. Which suited him just fine, more than fine actually; he was very grateful to have his home be a forest that hated humans just as much as he did. 

So he had been alone on his walk. Until he wasn’t. Because while not many people came to his part of the forest; Lethe, apparently, had been an exception.

They stumbled upon each other over that one big oak. Lethe hadn’t been expecting to see anyone during his walk either, most likely. After a lengthy, awkwardness-fueled stare-off, the kid spoke up, muttering some sort of apology. Techno asked for his name. He went silent, caution overtaking his posture. It was enough for Techno to get the message.

“Call me Protesilaus. And I’ll call you Lethe.”

They talked. And talked. And kept talking. When the sun began to set, Lethe said goodbye with a smile on his face. And fine, maybe Techno let him leave too easily. Lethe was cautious, yes, but he was only human. One mistake was all it took. But. Look. Their conversations had been fun, so sue him, okay???

Either way, the next day, Lethe came back. And the day after that. Techno let him.

The point was. The point was that it was the same song and dance. Lethe knew what he was. He knew that Protesilaus knew he knew. It was a weird push and pull between them. Lethe would come bearing food and books, and Protesilaus would offer some of his. Lethe would politely decline, making just the right excuses, and Protesilaus would yield. A good time had, gifts given, debts made and paid within a day with no damning consequences.

So Protesilaus knew the steps when he suggested Lethe stay a bit longer, his voice a teasing tilt. But the chuckle he expected as answer never came. Nor did the polite rejection. When he looked up from his book, he saw that Lethe was sitting still, his shoulders tense, the slightly grass-damp blanket they were sitting on bunched up between his clenched fingers.

“Lethe?”

“It’s...“ Lethe started, gaze determined, head turning to face him. “It’s R-“ Their eyes met. Techno had no idea what he saw there, but Lethe snapped his mouth shut, the determination vanishing from his eyes, even though the longing remained.

“It’s.” He said, “It’s nothing. I’d rather go back now, if you don’t mind. Umm…” Protesilaus did mind actually, but it’s not like spooking the kid further would accomplish anything. 

“Okay. Uhh... I’ll see you tomorrow?” 

“Yeah… Tomorrow…” And he left.

Techno contemplated whether to follow him or not. It would be extremely easy. And maybe then he’d finally know what the hell was going on with Lethe, because he knew something was. He was no human, but he was pretty sure it wasn’t normal to let your kids spend their every day in a forest rumored to be infested with the fair folk with absolutely no supervision. Not to mention how tense Lethe got whenever Protesilaus asked him about his parents.

Something was up, but what was he even supposed to do? Techno’s kind wasn’t, well, kind. And despite everything, their trust was still a fragile one. Did he really want to break that? 

Techno sighed. He wished Phil wasn’t busy. He could have helped with this. Probably.

Gathering the stuff lying on the forest floor, he started on his journey back to his realm. While walking, he wondered which book he should read next. He wondered what to eat. He wondered what Lethe was going to say to him, before their eyes met. 

Well. No matter. The song might have changed, and maybe the dance gained a few more steps, but Techno was nothing if not persistent. He’d figure things out eventually. Whether the kid liked it or not. Until then, he had all the time in the world to wait.

names hold power. especially with fae. if a fae were to have your name, that'd possibly give them full control of you. you just have to hope the faerie you gave your name too is trustworthy.

To the Kingdom of the Unseelie, the beautiful 6th Prince is weak and sickly but to his supporters he's calculating and smart. Sent away to the Temple of Kieran when he was 8 years old, when political unrest caused his mother to be framed for treason when the King's enemies staged an uprising. 17 years later, Prince Taehyung has been granted return to court among the ire of his older siblings who worry he might become competition for the throne.

Taehyung has no issues with them thinking that as he works behind the scenes to gather allies to clear his mother's name. All while manipulating the entire court including his father who favors him. What he doesn't realize is one of those allies will be a person from the Seelie Court, child of one of the uprisers who escaped prosecution and is looking to avenge their parents who died at the hands of the current Crown Prince.
