Maybe this doesn’t need to be said, but Im feeling awful about it, so -- to any mutuals that might notice Im not following them anymore, I'm sorry about that. I've just seen too many posts on my dash that I have no way of blocking because they're not tagged in any way and they're distressing enough it's turning one of the only places I considered a safe space not safe for me anymore. So for my own mental health, I had to unfollow. I Will refollow in the future and I still love y'all, but I just-- I can’t. Ive been noticing some very worrying stuff about my mental and emotional state and it's just too much currently. I hope it's at least an understandable decision, and I wish y'all are having a good day out there 💗

i know you can't relate your self-worth to past mistakes but it's like. those people hate me? those people still despise me and i loved them so how could I forgive myself?

i think it's a point where i have to make peace with my wounds and regrets. i constantly remember the people i cared for, whom i lost, how they feel about me now, and i empathize. god, do i empathize. i see it, i understand what they hate and what they saw. and i think it's BEEN destroying me.

Last week I helped with a training for one afternoon and we were in a lovely little park by a lovely little stream and many of the salmonberries were ripe! And I couldn't figure out how that snuck up on me so completely. Someone pointed out that it's June and I just laughed it off as how time flies by. Only many hours later I realized-it’s because of my new job. I started at the beginning of May. A month of not being significantly outside near daily after two years of it. That's all it took. Such a short time to come so untethered

#I really am happy about my job! but I have been thinking melancholy thoughts about this #I've really come to value the low key awareness of natural rhythms #Not for a purpose just in general like oh the osoberry leafs out first in the spring and watching the relative order of things #I don't want to be like one of those white girls but when I volunteered on Kuaihelani we had a huli 'ia practice #And regularly communicating our observations of seasonal changes across the landscape legitimately improved my ambient awareness #And...idk I felt like that skill made me more...in context as a creature of the world #So yeah 2 years outside almost every day and I didn't have a log or anything but the general awareness has been a part of me #So to be blindsided so badly #To miss all the middle stages of salmonberry ripening. Not to have a first day of seeing a ripe berry in the field #It's grief. A small petty tremendous grief #Like I'm ok and it's a valuable reminder I need to figure out how to get myself outside closer to every day again but on my own time #But it's real #And so is being happy about my new job genuinely! my personal rule of thumb is that (typically) if a video essay is longer to watch than the media that it is analyzing, it's not one you're gonna get a lot out of, neither in terms of information nor entertainment. something to have on in the background if that's what you need to sit down and work maybe, but if you're there to get a solid thesis or concise recap of the media in question, 😬.

SMajor joined five days ago, and he has already been in a fan-favourite duo with half the server. His Ao3 tag has quadrupled in size, and his tumblr tag is full of art vaguely shipping him with just about anyone with a face.

Pearl has been a landscaper, a janitor, a postmaster, an accountant, a bus driver, and a librarian. Running out of public service jobs, she has started showing up at people's houses in real life with teas and coffees. No one's sure how she gets there.

Etho's tissue box has finally disintegrated, and everyone is excitedly recommending him mic stands. He is trying to hide the fact that he has put an exact copy of the box in its place already.

Zombie Cleo has become so adept at manipulating armor stands that they can perfectly recreate literally anything. Including things that by all rights should not exist. New viewers occasionally complain about lovecraftian nightmares and mental issues after seeing them. Cleo and their older viewers laugh like it's an inside joke.
