Maybe this doesn’t need to be said, but Im feeling awful about it, so -- to any mutuals that might notice Im not following them anymore, I'm sorry about that. I've just seen too many posts on my dash that I have no way of blocking because they're not tagged in any way and they're distressing enough it's turning one of the only places I considered a safe space not safe for me anymore. So for my own mental health, I had to unfollow. I Will refollow in the future and I still love y'all, but I just-- I can’t. Ive been noticing some very worrying stuff about my mental and emotional state and it's just too much currently. I hope it's at least an understandable decision, and I wish y'all are having a good day out there 💗

i keep thinking about a scenario where character A is really sick but has some reason to hide it from character B. so whenever B is around A is trying to hold it together, but as soon as they leave the room/apartment, A runs to the bathroom or grabs a trash can and lets it all out hoping to be done by the time B gets back
anonymous asked: could i request taako taking care of magnus who is also down with feeling sick? And taako really is the biggest sympathy puker
🚫don’t rb/share to non-emeto/sickfic/kink blogs, thanks!🚫
“Do you really need all those ingredients just for cookies?” Magnus called into the kitchen, shouting over the din of pots and pans.
“Dunno!” Taako’s head appeared around the door for a split second; he darted back into the room with his arms full of pans. “Do you really need to lie around without helping me, my man?”
“Yes!” In Magnus’s defense, he was busy. A pile of wood shavings sat just out of reach on the coffee table, and he turned the crude carving listlessly in his hands. He’d meant to spend his day off making some gifts for members of the Bureau, but as he twirled his paring knife around in his hand, a slight pang in his stomach made him wince. He’d been feeling… off all day, just sorta tired and weird, and his lunch wasn’t settling well.
It had started with an unsettled feeling after eating, like his food wasn’t digesting. That was normal enough, and he’d eaten a large lunch, so he’d laid down, trying to get his stomach to settle.
Magnus closed his eyes, swallowing thickly as his stomach twinged. It was definitely hurting now, dull pains bubbling under the surface. Maybe bubbling was a good word for it – he rolled over, clutching his unsettled belly. He could feel it churning under his hands as it gave off some worrying-sounding gurgles.Maybe some rest would help, he thought.
But his stomachache wouldn’t go away, the occasionally intensifying cramps jolting him awake out of what little sleep he’d managed to get.To make matters worse, Magnus was beginning to become aware of something else – a growing queasiness.
Fuck. Fuck, fuck, fuck.
He wasn’t sure if he needed to vomit just yet –  his stomach was definitely upset, but it could be the result of indigestion. Very bad indigestion. Even if he did need to vomit, he couldn’t – not with Taako there. Dude had some kind of phobia about people being sick, and Magnus didn’t wanna scare him off when he’d just begun baking again.
He swallowed thickly, burping up a small bubble of air and nearly sighing at the relief that it brought him, even as his stomach groaned in protest. He rubbed it experimentally, hoping that that would help, only for the nausea to increase even with the light touch of his fingers. Another burp bubbled up in his throat, and he swallowed it down, wincing as his belly gurgled more loudly. Burping would help, but he was so close to the kitchen, and Taako would–
 “The fuck’s wrong with you?”
“Hm?” Magnus opened bleary eyes to see Taako standing in the doorway, his apron in one hand. “Nothing. Just sleepy.”
“Whatever. Ran outta eggs, so I’m gonna go grab some more. The oven’s got, like, fifteen minutes on it? If it beeps, just take the cookies out.”
Magnus hummed in agreement, closing his eyes. Once the door clicked behind Taako, he took the opportunity to let out the series of deep, rumbling belches he’d been holding back. Releasing the trapped air didn’t help this time, and when he sat up, he realized that his belly was bloated.
Maybe water would help. He made his way over to the bathroom, drinking deeply from the tap. It seemed like it took too many tries to finish swallowing it all, and he kept burping– tiny, sick non-stop burps that kept gurgling up his throat. All the water he’d drank sloshed uncomfortably in his bloated belly.
A thick belch got caught in his throat and he nearly gagged, stopping the motion of his hand on his bloated belly for a moment. He sank to his knees in front of the toilet, putting up the sink.
Magnus needed to puke. More than that, he needed to puke before Taako came back. The bathroom shared a wall with the kitchen, and he was such a loud puker…
He forced a burp, the deep belch reverberating inside the toilet. He swallowed more air to force another, his stomach jerking as guttural half-burps, half-gags caused his swollen belly to gurgle and churn. Magnus gagged up a thick rope of slime, spitting it into the toilet. He vomited another thin, slimey stream, wiping his mouth off with toilet paper. Was that all? Did he not really need to vomit?
He forced one more burp, a small mouthful of acid gushing off his tongue as he heaved, but that was all. There was barely anything in the toilet, he was still desperately nauseous, and –
And that was the front door opening.
“Hello?” Taako’s voice was muffled through the bathroom door, and Magnus quickly wiped his mouth with a square of toilet paper. “Anyone home? Mags, you better not have let my cookies burn!”
“One – one sec!” Magnus called, trying to will his voice to stop shaking. He stumbled back to the sink, catching himself on the counter. Gods, he looked awful. His face was flushed, and his hands trembled as he scooped water from the tap and forced himself to drink.
Wrong choice. His throat rose in an unexpected heave, and – Shit, shit, shit, Taako sounded like he was right outside his bathroom door. Clapping his hand over his mouth, he struggled to swallow, trying to force the wave of sick back down his throat, but it kept rising, and with a muffled “Hmmm!”, Magnus heaved a mouthful of frothy water that dripped through his fingers and into the sink.
“Cool!” Fuck, he was right outside the door. “‘Cause I really gotta pee. So!”
Shit. “Okay, Just – one minute, please!” Despite how gross he felt, Magnus pressed his hand back against his lips, just in time to muffle a wet burp that turned into a heave. Another wave of soupy vomit rushed against his palm, trickling into the basin. Jolting forward with another heave, he turned the water on.
He couldn’t keep the faucet running for too long – Taako wasn’t that stupid – but his stomach managed to calm somewhat, and he only heaved once through closed lips as he washed his hands.
“Finally!” Taako exclaimed as he opened the door. “Gods, between. you and Merle, I dunno who hogs this place more.” He peered cautiously at Magnus. “You alright, dude? You look like you’re gonna hurl.”
Shit. His stomach churned again, and he forced down a sick burp. “Yes! I mean, yes, I’m alright. I’m fine.”
“If you say so.”
The door clicked shut, and not a moment too soon. Magnus’s mouth flooded with acid, and he frantically looked around into the adjoining kitchen. The trash can – no, Taako would see. A bowl?
His stomach clenched hard, and Magnus lurched towards the kitchen sink, clapping his hand against his mouth. He heaved openly, letting watery vomit pour into the drain. It was chunkier this time, and he heaved at the sight of the bits that couldn’t be washed away.
Calm down, calm down… he willed his stomach, rubbing circles on it. He felt disgusting still, all achy and bloated, and still way too nauseous to be done vomiting. But he had to be, because the bathroom door clicked open, and then Taako was by his side, unaware of the fact that Magnus was rinsing his own puke down the sink.
“Dude, you did not look after my cookies,” Taako groaned.
“Mm.” Magnus was afraid to open his mouth. His bedroom, if he could just get there…
“They’re burnt! Look at them!” Taako shoved a cookie in Magnus’s face, and he turned away, gut churning at the sickly-sweet smell. “Right? They’re disgusting! Taste that – No, taste!”
He shoved the cookie in Magnus’s face, and that was the last straw. With a gurgling burp, Magnus belched a wave of chunky vomit all down his front. He heard Taako give a high-pitched shriek, but was preoccupied with a series of dry heaves that turned solid, puke splattering onto the tile floor and over his feet.
“Oh – Gods –” Taako gagged, and Magnus saw him spin around and vomit noisily in the sink out of the corner of his eye.
“Sorry,” He choked out. “Tried to hold it back – I can clean –"
"Nah, dude.” Taako propped himself up on the sink, glassy-eyed, a string of saliva dripping down his chin. “’S my fault for trying to make. you eat. I’ll clean. You –” He winced, covering his ears as Magnus doubled over to noisily vomit again.“You should rest.”
