A few comments, to give context to the calendar above:
There will be fewer events in 2024 than in our peak periods, but more than we thought there would be! We've gone by the Survey, to ensure all the top-scoring ones make an appearance in 2024.
However, next year we will try to mix it up and re-visit some of the events that didn't make it this year, or some new ones. Except 12 Days of Christmas and the FiKi Week - those are a given.
If you are into Britchell/Mitchers, please be aware that there is also the Britchell Tumblr organising events related to that pairing. Go, check them out. We've tried to make sure that the events don't clash - which is why we have some gaps.
Our sidebar on GatheringFiKi has been updated accordingly with links to this calendar and latest events. ;)

End of April, all of May and June, to the beginning of July and release.
FF16 Crossover ends May 8
Yo-kai Watch Returns (with a new Framer Kit!) April 24 through June 25.
Moogle Tomes of Genesis Part 2 from May 14 through June 24.
Make It Rain goes from May 15 through May 31.
Producer Live Letter 81 is on or around May 16.
Dragon Quest X returns from June 5 through June 20.
Producer Live Letter 82 is on or around June 14.
48 Hour Maintenance June 26th through 28th; the expansion shouldn't take too much longer than normal, but they want to give folks plenty of time to download.
Early Access begins on June 29th.
Official Launch July 2nd.

Welcome to the first (hopefully annual) Femslash February podFic Edition 2024! This is a femslash focused podficcing event running all throughout February! (aka an event to convince people to make more femslash podfic)

What is this event?

How do I participate?
Make a podfic, not!fic, or filk featuring two (or more) women in a romantic and/or sexual relationship and post it to this collection!
Do genderswapped/trans characters count?
Absolutely!
Regardless of what canon says any character can be femslashed if you try hard enough
Can I post NSFW/darkfic content?
Go for it!
As long as you tag appropriately this collection will accept all works featuring f/f (or f/f/f, or f/f/f/f/+) pairings
If you feel like tagging is a fundamentally flawed system of posting fanworks, feel free to create femslash anyway and just not include it in this collection
When does this event run?
All of February! This collection will remain unrevealed until the beginning of February (if you somehow manage podfic before then) and then remain open from that point onwards
Inspired by @polypodweek this collection won't have a hard deadline, but if it is getting close to February next year you should probably wait for the next collection
Does this event have themes/prompts?
Nope
For this first year it's going to remain very vague and open, and we'll see how it goes for next year

I'm not going to have time/energy/motivation to make femslash podfic during February, how can I participate?
No stress this is a very low key event, but if you'd like to participate you can:
A) make a different medium of femslash work and post it to tumblr under the hashtag #femslashfebruary or the ao3 collection Femslash February (no affiliation) or,
B) Find a femslash author and ask them to put up a Blanket Permission statement about their podficcing permissions
Femslash fandoms tend to be very light on permission statements about whether people can make podfic without asking first
You can even direct them to the Permission Statement Builder by flamingwell @flamingwell to make it super easy

Welcome to the Timari Servers first Live Event
Shutterbug Station
There are two teams, Angst v. Fluff, and only you all can decide who shall be the true victor.
On each day a prompt will be revealed that corresponds with either Angst or Fluff depending on the day. Your goal is to create something that fulfills the prompt!
Trauma Train Tuesdays are dedicated to Angst prompts while Fluff Freight Fridays are for Fluff with some bonus prompts sprinkled in!
We’re aware full calendars can be daunting and too much for people so this gives people a chance at a break while also keeping them on their feet when the day arrives for their prompt to be revealed and gives them time to complete their prompts.
Choose which team you wish to support (you are allowed to join both), make content for them, and post! If you post it on the day their prompt is revealed, you’ll get an additional 5 points.
Guidelines:
• You do not have to sign up to join
• To be counted, all works must be submitted with links in the provided form X
• You do not need to be in the server to participate! Just tag correctly, add fics to the ao3 collection, and be sure to submit the link in the form for it to be counted
• While we are a Timari Server and would love more Timari content, we are aware of the constraints of that and absolutely support other pairing submissions
• Any creative works are accepted
• Label your works correctly
• Follow the prompts, but each person is given 10 free cards (10 things can be submitted that do not use the prompts)
• You can join at any time!

May 31st - Artist submission for Writer Claims (work does NOT need to be completed by this date, but finished enough that a writer could make an informed decision on whether or not they could work a story from it.)
June 2nd - Link to all available creative works sent to Writers to begin review
June 8th - Writer claims begin
June 13th - Writer claims close
June 16th - Writer match-ups sent
August 10th - Writer/artist team check-ins

Eight long weeks have passed since the KakaIru Advent Calendar Battle 2023 started; and many fiery battles have taken place, with 18 contestants pitting their favourite holiday tropes against each other.
Well now, the battle has come to an end; and we have a winner.
Last week, our two finalists, @mandapandabug and @oneinist went head to head against each other with their tropes “Getting each others name for a gift exchange (panic)/secret Santa”, and “Not noticing the mistletoe at first”; and in our most intense battle yet, where it was pretty much even the entire time, one person remained standing at the end; one person was victorious.
And the champion of the KakaIru Advent Calendar Battle 2023 is…
@oneinist, with the “Not noticing the mistletoe at first” trope; and they have one a fic prize written by mod @kakairu-shrine, using their amazing trope!!! 🥳🥳🥳
Thank you to everyone who participated! We had a lot of fun organising & running the event, and we couldn’t have done all this without you! ❤️
