Lucifer came into their private quarters with a deep sigh, slamming the door behind them.

They had told you earlier that they would be late, as the day had been extremely busy. The Lightbringer had instructed you to be kneeling at the edge of their bed, garments off, ready for them after their work. And you obeyed. You were kneeling at the edge of their massive bed, naked and awaiting their instructions.

“Good pet…” The blonde breathed out, removing their top most layer of garments.

They made their way over to you, looming tall over you and the edge of the bed. Their hand reached out to your chin, caressing your face, as they gazed into your eyes. Their expression was one filled with tiredness and stress. They gazed into nothingness for a couple of minutes, simply caressing your chin and neck.

You would have asked if you could help, but that broke the rules. You only spoke when spoken to. So you sat there, like a good pet. Suddenly, Lucifer broke out of their trance and they sighed.

“I’m sorry pet, I’m very distracted today” the Lightbringer sighed.

You bit your lip and nodded.

“It’s okay, Master. I don’t mind” you reassured the blonde.

Your words caused the Lightbringer to smile lightly at you.

“Perhaps my pet can help me resolve some of my issues…” Lucifer teased lightly.

Your eyes widened and you nodded vigorously.

“Yes Master…! Please let me help you. I’ll be good.” You quipped eagerly, finding your purpose and joy in pleasing and helping the Lightbringer.

“Such an eager pet…” Lucifer chuckled with a smirk.

They then sat themselves on their great, large reading chair the corner by the window. They spread their legs and began rolling up and removing all the garments that might hinder you from aiding the Lightbringer.

“Come, Pet.” The blonde ordered.

“Yes, Master”

You immediately swing your feet out from underneath you and rose, scurrying over to the fallen Angel. You fell to your feet in front of the Lightbringer and immediately began aiding in the removal of their garments.

“Take it slow, Little Pet.” Lucifer reminded you with a hum.

You nodded and slowed your pace.

“Yes Master.” You spoke.

“Hmmmm, Good Pet…” they hummed in approval, “I want us both to enjoy this…”

Glimpses of Academic Procession - Graduation Ceremony, KCC ILHE Batch 2019

On October 28, 2023, the KCC Institute of Legal & Higher Education in Greater Noida held its Convocation for the graduating class of 2019-2022. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as the graduates eagerly awaited the moment when they would officially receive their degrees. Vocaloid Songs You Might Have Missed - October 2023

Hi, welcome back to my blog. I’m a longtime fan of the Vocaloid scene. In recent years, numerous Vocaloid star producers have broken out and become household names in Japan, while others still find continuous viral success on YouTube and Nicovideo.

I want to highlight some of the best yet-to-be-discovered music being produced with Vocaloids and other vocal synths.

Last month's post is here, and this month's is under the break.

And remember... it may be Miku's world, but it's always Teto territory.

Like last month, I've separated the songs into three rough categories, more for my own organization than anything else. All of these songs are worth your critical listen, but I've left notes under my favorites or on anything I found particularly interesting.

Sink / __ natural feat. 重音テト The year of Teto continues... is what I keep saying following her SynthV release, but __ natural has been a Tetohead for years. The producer has released a few albums of these cool but groovy rock songs mainly featuring the eared robot.

My Review:

I have enjoyed everything I have read by Aliette de Bodard, but this is my favorite thus far. Something about the characters grabbed me immediately and held my interest for the entire book. They felt incredibly real and believable and I cared deeply about all of them.

Her writing style is very dense, so her books take me longer to read than most others, but I always enjoy the journey. Sometimes it's nice to be forced to slow down and linger over a story rather than speed through it.

The characters and their motivations are complicated. Revenge and fear and hate and greed and love and justice. They're all very powerful emotions and the book itself feels very powerful. It's a grand struggle and epic battles that play out in subtle manipulations and power plays and scholars crafting the perfect response alluding to classic texts.

I love how expansive and complicated this universe is, with the mindships and bots and the avatars and overlays and perception filters, as well as the Vietnamese names and culture that feels deep and consistent. It feels so vast and so physical, and even though I know it's not real, it feels like it is.

I have read a good handful of Xuya universe novels and novellas now so I feel like I have a pretty good handle on the world, where I was confused occasionally even in the previous novel. It's more sci-fi than I normally read, and I love it. It has such a lovely texture.

I also love how queer relationships are treated as normal and unremarkable, and how many examples of them we have in this book (and her others). There is at least one nonbinary character and it is completely normal. The main relationships are all pairs of women. It's so refreshing and validating.

I have not had such a deeply enjoyable and satisfying reading experience in a while and it felt so good. Wading through the dense language that Aliette de Bodard uses felt rewarding and I was swept away by the strong emotions and convictions of the characters. I am sad to leave this world and eagerly await the next Xuya universe novel.

(It should be noted that I am in the process of moving so the only time I have had to read in the past few weeks is when I wake up in the middle of the night and can't sleep. So I read most of this between the hours of 3 and 6am. And I still adored it and happily spent days wading through its complexity. That's how good it is.)

It goes without saying that going to your favorite artists’ world tour concert is among the most exhilarating activities a music fan can engage in. The atmosphere is electric as soon as you walk inside the space. As fans wait for their favorite artist to hit the stage‚ you can feel the excitement in the air and the expectation of the audience. The crowd is buzzing‚ the lighting and graphics are breathtaking‚ and the music is deafening. The audience erupts in enthusiastic cheers as soon as the performer finally steps onto the stage. Everyone is having a good time while dancing and singing along. The relationship between the artist and the audience is unique and unmatched. It’s a sense of solidarity and camaraderie that can only be felt when you’re with a massive group of people who are all engaged in the same activity. It is difficult to adequately express the pure thrill of attending a concert on a world tour. From delight to astonishment and all in between‚ it’s a jumble of intense feelings. You are surrounded by individuals who share your enthusiasm for music‚ and you can feel the music’s energizing power coursing through your body. Long after the show has concluded‚ the event lingers in your memory. The best aspect of a world tour concert is how it unites individuals from various backgrounds and regions of the globe. Everyone in the audience shares a common love of music‚ and this affinity for music forges a special link that is unbreakable. Everyone should at least once in their lives experience the delight of attending a concert on a world tour. It’s a life-changing experience that you won’t forget for a long time.

Since our comeback in September 2022‚ we have been promoting our most recent album‚ “Born Pink” with each members’ schedules and projects. On September 16, 2022‚ YG Entertainment and Interscope Records distributed “Born Pink” all over the world. Finally‚ the Born Pink era has come to an end. Our eagerly awaited comeback from BLINKs‚ “Born Pink”‚ is a condensed collection that plays up the air of authority we have developed in the six years since our debut. After “The Album” in 2020‚ it was our first full-length release. Numerous producers worked on the album’s creation‚ including Teddy Sinclair‚ Willy Sinclair‚ Bekuh Boom‚ R. Tee‚ Kush‚ and Teddy Park. Born Pink was designed by us to be “the essence” of the group‚ and it incorporates many genres while drawing inspiration from hip-hop sound. Eight tracks make up the album‚ and they mix hard-hitting hip-hop—a trademark of the sound of the company YG Entertainment—with a scattering of pop‚ disco‚ and balladry. Our hard and tender sides mix through sound and image‚ but it’s not apparent which aspect of our name Born Pink wishes to emphasize. The album’s lead single‚ “Pink Venom”‚ makes an impression with its braggadocio and influences‚ weaving in lyrical nods to Rihanna and the Notorious B.I.G. (“One by one‚ then two by two”). A G-funk synth zips behind Jennie언니 and me in the song’s rap break as we live a luxurious but rebellious lifestyle of “designer crimes”. Born Pink has eight songs and lasts twenty-four minutes. Our “extremely confident” and “untouchable exteriors” are depicted in the album's first half through words‚ while the second half‚ which is made up of “emotionally charged” songs‚ shows our anxieties.

Our Born Pink World Tour Concert was a sensation around the world with its continuous sold out shows‚ and it is now finally over. We performed on stages all around the world during the tour‚ which started on October 15 and 16, 2022‚ and ended on September 16 and 17, 2023. A two-day performance at the KSPO Dome served as the tour’s kickoff in Seoul‚ South Korea. The performance‚ which was the biggest one yet for our group‚ included a set list of our best successes as well as a few brand-new songs. We were greeted by a spectacular light display and fireworks. Additionally‚ the audience also enjoyed the fact that many artists and special guests watched some of our concerts in our Born Pink World Tour. The tour then proceeded to North America‚ where we gave stadium performances in both the United States and Canada. Hits from our most recent album‚ as well as songs from our first two‚ were played during the concert. After that‚ we traveled to Europe‚ where we gave performances in countries including England‚ Spain‚ Germany‚ France‚Denmark‚ and the Netherlands. We performed in the O2 Arena in front of a completely sold-out crowd‚ making the London performance one of a kind. After that‚ we continued our tour in Asia‚ performing in countries including Thailand‚ China‚ Saudi Arabia‚ United Arab Emirates‚ Malaysia‚ Indonesia‚ Taiwan‚ Philippines and Japan. Then we returned to Asia and gave four concerts in Singapore‚ China‚ Thailand‚ and Japan. We also performed in North America. We also performed throughout Oceania before returning to Europe‚ Asia‚ and North America. In September 2023‚ Seoul served as the final stopover of the voyage. Not to mention that the most of the concert days were consecutive‚ it was a really busy schedule for us. In addition to our world tour concert‚ we also had additional obligations and projects that needed our attention. We didn’t get a lot of rest. But despite our busy schedules‚ the other members and I were still able to provide BLINKs with an amazing and memorable experience and performance. For that‚ we are all feeling proud and amazed by the other members and ourselves. In our final day on our final part of our tour‚ we bid our BLINKs a fond farewell and thanked them for their full support since day one until the last performance‚ which made us emotional. A tremendous success was once again achieved by our Born Pink World Tour Concert. The tour was an excellent opportunity for us to become more closer to BLINKs‚ and we had an unforgettable experience performing shows all over the world. Even if the tour is over‚ our music will continue to live on and inspire people for years to come.

As the curtain comes down on our world tour‚ we would like to extend a message of appreciation to all of our fans who came to the concerts from the beginning to the end of the tour. We expressed to BLINKs our sincere gratitude for their steadfast support and commitment to attending the concerts‚ which served as a source of motivation and inspiration for us‚ during the world tour. All of the Blinks’ love and support‚ which they showed to us from the start of the tour to the end‚ is greatly appreciated. BLINKs‚ 사랑해요! We appreciate your support as we successfully completed the world tour. It was such a lovely and priceless moment that I talked and sobbed with BLINKs. Jessie Murph & Henry Verus – Franklin Music Hall – Philadelphia, PA – October 29, 2023

On Sunday, Philadelphia went down home and welcomed Jessie Murph joined by Henry Verus for a sold-out show on her Cowboys and Angels world tour. Fans lined up around the block, eagerly awaiting the incredible night ahead of them.

The first to take the stage was Henry Verus. His vocals were stunning, and the emotion in his songs could be felt throughout the venue. Accompanied by a small band and moody lighting, he commanded the stage well. Verus treated the audience to some unreleased music, as well as some of his songs “Two Weeks,” “Your Guilty Pleasure,” and a cover of Chris Stapleton’s “Tennessee Whiskey.” Verus interacted well with the crowd and kept them engaged throughout his entire set. His talent was really remarkable to see, and he put on an incredible performance.

Later on that night, as the lights went low, Jessie Murph took the stage. Opening her set with “Cowboys and Angels,” “About You,” “While You’re At It,” and “Drunk in the Bathtub,” fans immediately began singing along to every word. Her stage was decorated with a multiple layered platform, adding to the depth of her performance, along with moody and deep lighting. Murph took control of the stage, her powerful vocals soaring through the venue.

Throughout the night, Murph performed a set of incredible covers, including “Needed Me” by Rihanna, “Back to Black” by Amy Winehouse, and “Someone Like You” by Adele. She also teased a number of unreleased songs, including “Mean It,” “Wildflowers and Wine,” and “Dirty.”

Jessie Murph commanded the stage, connecting with the audience well and putting on a show to remember. The sold-out crowd was a sea of phone lights and hands in the air throughout the entire night. Her talent is unmatched, and her ability to engage a sold-out crowd is an amazing sight to see. Murph’s set continued with “Where Do You Go,” “Wild Ones,” “Heartbroken,” and “Upgrade.” Overall, both Jessie Murph and Henry Verus’s performances came together to create an unforgettable night in Philadelphia.

While tensions were high on both sides due to the lopsided result, it was Kojiro Hyuga's alleged involvement in a brawl with Genzo Wakabayashi that stunned spectators and sports enthusiasts worldwide. The incident captured in the episodes over the past 2 weekends and was since sparked discussions in the soccer community, as reportedly obtained by TXN Sports for JOTX-TV 7's TV Tokyo.

Mr. Kojiro Hyuga, known for his fierce competitive spirit and aggressive style of play, was seen making punch each other with the aforesaid German-Japanese goalkeeper victim, in front of the JNJYT. Mr. Genzo Wakabayashi, a German-Japanese goalkeeper from a disclosed graduated student, earns its recognition for his exceptional skills and quick reflexes to catch every single ball to stop the goal by hand. He is seemed to maintain composure, avoiding further escalation of the incident. His rueful sportsmanship highlighted the importance of maintaining discipline on the field.

The incident like this that even the best Japanese players in the world are not immune to making mistakes. It is also a sternful reminder of the importance of sportsmanship and fair play in all levels of the international sports competition.

Joan He’s STRIKE THE ZITHER takes inspiration from the Chinese historical fiction classic ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS, but readers do not need to be familiar with the latter to enjoy the former. I have not read RotTK, but I still devoured STRIKE THE ZITHER in one sitting and am eagerly awaiting the conclusion of the duology (October 2023, according to Goodreads).

Duologies aren’t nearly as common as trilogies or standalones in the young adult publishing landscape, and that means STRIKE THE ZITHER’s pacing is a little different from what readers might anticipate. It isn’t all setup—the book delivers on more than one major plotline, including a midpoint I loved that radically changes the story afterward—but it may require recalibrating some expectations on the pace of the greater scope plot.

Zephyr is a fantastic narrator. It can be very difficult to write a believably clever character from their POV, and as a war strategist, the bar for Zephyr is even higher. I thoroughly enjoyed watching events play out from her perspective, and her plots and schemes to further Ren’s cause felt appropriately difficult and the victories well-earned. I also appreciated how her ruthlessness came into conflict with Ren’s honor, and how Zephyr did or did not compromise her strategies for Ren’s sake.

I’m a little torn on the burgeoning relationship between Zephyr and Crow. From a purely “respect for a talented rival” perspective, I loved it, but I felt the romantic overtures happened faster than my preference for longer and slower burns. Still, their conflicts as rival strategists were a thrill to experience, and I’m definitely looking forward to what will unfold between them in the sequel.

Recommendation: Get it now if you’re a fan of fantasy and life-or-death intrigue. Joan He’s STRIKE THE ZITHER is an engaging story about a strategist determined to deliver victory to her warlordess while an empire threatens to fall apart around them. I’m looking forward to the conclusion of this story next year!
