Talk show titled "Media's Trust Quotient"
Reflecting on Nagma Sahar's Insights, Building Media Trust in the Digital Age
On April 18th, 2024, the KCC Institutes community hosted a thought-provoking talk show titled "Media's Trust Quotient," delivered by the distinguished journalist Nagma Sahar of NDTV. This insightful event, curated to enrich the intellectual landscape of students and faculty alike, delved into the pivotal role of credibility in modern journalism and the evolving dynamics of media accountability.
In her address, Ms. Sahar eloquently underscored the imperative of credibility in journalism, emphasizing the significance of discerning credible news sources amidst the plethora of information available today. Drawing from her extensive experience in the field, she shed light on the evolving landscape of media accountability, where the digital age is reshaping traditional norms. Ms. Sahar astutely noted the paradigm shift in journalistic practices, where some outlets veer towards spectacle and sensationalism rather than upholding the integrity of news reporting.
Nagma Sahar's illuminating discourse on the "Media's Trust Quotient" served as a compelling call to action for journalists, aspiring media professionals, and the wider community. Her insights into the nuances of journalistic integrity and the challenges facing the media industry today will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on all the attendees
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Sahar for her invaluable contribution to our academic discourse, and we look forward to continued engagement with her profound insights in the future.
