You know about three days ago I was in the subway and I heard some people talking, and one of the guys asked his friends what the difference was between drag queens and trans women.

He didn’t sound like was saying it for being an asshat though his friends did wave him off, but I’m surprised more people don’t know.

So this is a post to help distinguish between them? Ig?

Drag Queens are basically men who like dressing up as women, they like wearing wigs, dresses and putting on makeup. It’s something that they just enjoy doing, and it’s a hobby for some and life work for others, but they still identify as men. Whether they prefer being referred to by different pronouns when in drag is entirely up to them.

(My most favourite up and coming Drag queens are Sugar and Spice, twins and amazing in every way.)

Trans women, on the other hand, are women who were literally just born either in the wrong body, or with the wrong genitals. They identify as women, and should be given the basic respect of having their pronouns and identity treated as valid.

I think that’s the most I can cover from what I know.
