This is one I missed earlier, it's from 19:10pm GMT on the 9th of November 2023, so almost 2 hours ago
This is DEEPLY fucking concerning. It also explains the earlier report about Reuters denying they had prior knowledge too. I can see them using this as 'justifiable cause' for targeting journalists.
In the way they claim Hamas is in every mosque, ambulance, portaloo, I'm waiting for them to start saying the journalists they murder were ones who recorded footage from the 7th.

Israel announces its Gaza endgame: Ethnic cleansing as ‘humanitarianism’
Israeli leaders, from PM Benjamin Netanyahu and FM Eli Cohen on down, have repeatedly made it clear since October 7 that they intend to ethnically cleanse Gaza. No matter how many times they say it, people still refuse to believe them. Capitalizing on this, Israel is now presenting ethnic cleansing as “humanitarian option.” In my latest for Mondoweiss, I explain what they’re doing and how the…

Quote from an interview with Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich on Army Radio this week
Tumblr media
Quote from Danny Danon, member of the Likud party last week
Tumblr media
Quote from Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu last week
So yea just in case anyone needed a refresher on the objective at the heart of the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza, which had so far resulted in the killing of 21,000 Palestinians and the displacement of at least 1.8 million in the past 86 days alone.
But lest we forget, despite the horrific scale of these current massacres, this is one episode in the ongoing Israeli colonial project. It can look like land theft, resources theft, restriction of movement, extrajudicial killings, large scale killings - it all leads to one end goal which is ethnic cleansing despite Israel's tireless attempts to distract from it by bringing in Hamas as the most recent justification for it.
I mean, take a look at this bonus Ben Gurion quote, the first prime minister of Israel in 1948, the year of the Palestinian Nakba and the establishment of Israel

OCCUPATION PRIME MINISTER NETANYAHU OPENLY CALLS FOR THE ETHNIC CLEANSING OF GAZA
The Israeli Occupation's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, openly called for the ethnic cleansing of Gaza on Tuesday, announcing plans for the "voluntary migration" of Palestinians from Gaza to other countries.
According to the Zionist media agency Israel Hayom daily, Netanyahu made the comments during a closed-door session of Parliament for Likud Party lawmakers.
"Our problem is the countries that are willing to absorb (them), and we are working on it," he reportedly told lawmakers.
According to reports, Likud Party member Danny Danon said during the closed-door session that there are countries that have actually raised the issue, including Canadian Immigration Minister Marc Miller and former U.S. Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley.
He also added that the Israeli entity must form a committee to follow up on the issue, ensuring that anyone who wants to move to a third country can do so.
Arab governments across the region have opposed such a plan, voicing opposition to imposing "forced migration" on Palestinians in Gaza.

Danny Danon, a member of the Israeli Knesset says it will “not be easy” for the people of Gaza tonight.
“I can tell you tonight that the people of Gaza will have to take into consideration that they will have to pay a price and we will advise them to take steps to avoid any casualties,” the former UN ambassador told Al Jazeera from Tel Aviv.
“We will be efficient, and we will do whatever it takes to hunt them [Hamas] down.”

MKs from a wide spectrum of the Knesset call for mass transfer of Palestinians
It is hard to fathom anyone but the woefully uninformed and the willfully ignorant still believing this assault on Gaza was a war on Hamas when it has plainly been Israel using the horrific events of October 7 as an excuse to launch a war against the Palestinian civilian population. It has been plain in both word and deed from the beginning. Toady, it is even clearer. One thing about the right…

On December 25, Netanyahu publicly confirmed what the Washington Post’s John Hudson reported on December 21, and Likud media had been reporting for weeks: Israel’s so-called “post-war plans for Gaza” include mass forcible population transfers of Palestinians out of Gaza into either the Sinai desert in Egypt or other “Arab” or European countries.
As Crisis Group Senior Israel Analyst Mairav Zonszein summarized on Twitter, citing Hebrew-language media, “Netanyahu said today he is actively working to ethnic transfer of Palestinians out of Gaza in a Likud meeting today.”
This follows reporting from Washington Post reporter John Hudson on December 21 that Netanyahu is openly shopping around plans and trying to pressure countries to systematically take Palestinian “migrants.”
This reporting comes after such a plan was announced by the Israeli UN ambassador Danny Danon on December 10 (see point 4) and a month after pro-Netanyahu media leaked this plan on Nov 30. There’s much debate about whether or not such a plan is feasible, but there’s no longer any doubt about Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's intent, which is mass forcible population transfers out of Gaza. And, since it’s Netanyahu running the war, and Netanyahu the US continues to arm, fund, and support, if he has genocidal motives, this would seem, objectively, to be of tremendous import.
So what has the US media done with this well-documented plan to pressure countries into taking “hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from Gaza”? For the most part, they’ve refused to report it, mention it, or acknowledge it, even when reporting on specifically related topics.

Netanyahu looking for countries 'to absorb' ethnically cleansed Palestinians
Local media reported the Israeli prime minister discussed the idea at a meeting of his Likud party, plus other stories
Palestinians have long said Israel's current campaign in Gaza is aimed at ensuring their permanent expulsion from the area.Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has told his supporters that he is working on finding countries ready to "absorb" Palestinians from Gaza. The Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom said Netanyahu made the comments at a meeting of his Likud party on Monday, in which he sought to clarify Israel's plans for after the war had ended. "Our problem is countries that are ready to absorb them and we are working on it," Netanyahu said. "The world is already discussing the possibilities of voluntary immigration,” he said, adding that a team must be established to “ensure that those who want to leave Gaza to a third country can do so. It needs to be settled. It has strategic importance for the day after the war." His words align with statements made by other senior Likud figures. Former Likud minister Danny Danon, for example, has publicly called on western states to accept refugees from Gaza.
