What's the weirdest ?
That Daemon, when returning from his travels, pays a lot of attention to Rhaenyra, his only niece, to whom he also gives gifts from the trips in question (while being in a relationship with Mysaria on the side).
Or that Criston Cole crowns 7-year-old Rhaenyra as queen of love and beauty ?
The answer is quite obvious. But strangely, never for the Green stans.
Apparently it's so suspicious that an uncle gives gifts and pays attention to his only niece when he can be in her company.
But not that a adult man crowns a 7 year old child queen of love and beauty. Then who he will ask to run away with him when she is older, namely age 16 / 17 after having spent all the last years by her side as a protector watching her grow up... All to spend the rest of his life trying to ruin Rhaenyra life after she said no to him, joining her enemies the greens. Not scary at all ! (#irony)
I remember that when Rhaenyra was 7 years old, Daemon spent a lot of time traveling, and or working for the crown / Viserys and he was in a relationship with Mysaria. So he clearly doesn't spend all his time with Rhaenyra in general. On the other hand, he paid her a lot of attention when he could. But apparently this is supposed to be weird and creepy when clearly he's just an uncle giving gifts and paying attention to his only niece in this context. Without forgetting that afterwards, he will not see her grow up, being exiled for 7 years, only seeing Rhaenyra again when she is considered by society as a woman to marry, whom he will then begin to court for 6 months. (I remind you that Daemon grew up in an incestuous family, and that the society in which he lives does not see marriages between uncle / niece and cousins as incest)
Clearly, there is no hesitation between Criston and Daemon to apply the term grooming / pedophilia or just creepy...
Criston wins hands down.

Everyone’s out here talking about op duos that could have been in f&b, some I’ve seen are, daemon and aemond, Otto and daemon, Rhaenyra and Alicent.
Now hear me out—👂Daeron and Jacaerys
These two shared wet nurses! At the age of fifteen they were both known as courageous, responsible, political savvy, courteous and protective of their respective families. Can you imagine if these two actually teamed up? They would be a holy duo! 😱😱😱
Tumblr media
They are literally power rangers coded⁉️⁉️ Fuck the Kingsguard! I want these two as my body guards. I will not accept any other opinion.

I think I needed to see some things that happened in the 10 years between episodes 5 & 6
I needed to see how Rhaenyra and Laenor’s marriage went wrong. Was Laenor too grief-stricken to try to have children with Rhaenyra? Did Rhaenyra decide she would rather not have dutiful sex and that she would rather have secret bastards with Harwin instead? What is Laenor’s relationship with his kids?
How did Harwin come into Rhaenyra’s life? How did they fall in love? What are they like with each other? How did Harwin initially feel to knowing that he would never really get to be a father to his children?
How did Criston and Alicent become what they are now? How did Alicent protect him from punishment after the wedding? Did Criston’s bitterness and hate come on full force or did it slowly grow after Harwin and Rhaenyra became a badly-kept secret and had children together? What has Alicent’s relationships with her kids been like? What about her and Viserys? When did they stop having sex?
How did Laena and Daemon get together? Did he really love her? Were they ever actually happy? Who even is Laena outside of Daemon’s fiery late wife? What was her relationship with Laenor like? What was her relationship with Rhaenyra like? How did Daemon react to having his daughters?
They’ve been pretty good with how they’ve been condensing the timeline, but I feel like they needed another episode for these things to make the transition less jarring. We saw Harwin for five seconds at a time in the first 5 episodes. Laena has had a different actress everytime we saw her. Introducing them as Rhaenyra and Daemon’s respectful significant others and then killing them off in the same episode felt rushed. Like they were just plot devices to say “Hey, they have children now.” Having Criston call Rhaenyra a “selfish cunt” right off the bat even though we never really saw him this way even when he was angry with her in episode 5 was so weird. Especially when compared to how well they handle Alicent’s love-to-hate relationship with Rhaenyra. We see the moment when she is aimless and scared and then decides Rhaenyra is her enemy. Criston’s should have been when he found out about Harwin.
Anyway, to AO3 it seems I needs go

One thing I can appreciate about HOTD is how much emphasis is placed on "perception". The way things are shot, events happening off-screen, relationships being ambiguous, subtle details etc. One of the reasons I love the ASOIAF universe is GRRM's focus on perception and ambiguities and how the truth isn't always what it seems. HOTD does a good job of creating that sense of murkiness.
Also the way it plays with our own perceptions of characters. If you like a character, you may view a scene a different way to how someone who dislikes that character views the scene. It also kind of reflects how Fire and Blood is a retelling of events and how there are a variety of different recounts and perceptions of the events that take place.
For example, we never see whether Daemon actually kisses Rhaenyra during the dance in Episode 5. We never see what triggers Criston to beat Joffrey to a pulp, as another example.
I really like how the show plays with our own beliefs and perceptions and opinions of the characters. It poses a lot of situations that are up for interpretation by the viewer, which is why I think it's so easy for us as fans to get into debates and arguments. Because the actual content is polarising and doesn't always have a clear answer. The actual content is down to our own perceptions and interpretations of the events and inner thoughts and mindsets of the characters.

The sun had just started to rise, slowly waking the small country town they’d moved to just a year prior.
Daemon yawned, rolling his head to the side to stretch his neck while the coffee brewed. Two mugs sat on the counter beside the pot; one red and the other grey.
A small, simple ring around his finger glimmered in the faint rays of sun peaking through the kitchen window.
Years had gone by. A lot had changed.
He and Cryptor…weren’t quite married; they hadn’t felt like trying to go through all the formalities and legal work. Not now anyways.
But they wanted to be together, and had been for a long time. The rings symbolized that.
They’d decided to move out into the country sometime after Safa finished highschool and started down her own path in life (as to not disrupt her education or social life with a big move).
He checked in on her fairly often, still worried about leaving her back in the city by herself even after a year…
……..
The coffee pot beeped, dragging Daemon out his sleepy daze with a mumbled-hum of sorts. He reached down for the pot, holding each individual mug still as he carefully poured coffee into each.
A few song birds had landed on a branch just outside the window, announcing their presence with a round of chirps and whistles.
A soft smile fell upon his face, as he picked up the now-full coffee mugs and made his way towards the back porch, where Cryptor was sitting on the stairs, watching the sun rise.
“Coffee?” He asked his partner warmly, holding his mug out in his direction.
Cryptor turned around with a sleepy smile, taking the cup gently from Daemon’s hands. “Yes please.”
The bizarro hummed, sitting down beside Cryptor shoulder-to-shoulder, readjusting his grip on the mug in his hands.
Cryptor rested his head on Daemon’s shoulder, sighing.
“It’s a nice morning..”
“Yeah..it is.”

OOC: And..that ends the story. Ask box will be open again for a little bit in case of any final asks, but just for a couple days. Thanks again for sticking around for this bumpy and inconsistently kept up on ride. ^^

Do you think that book!Alicent was a one dimensional evil stepmother and the show has fixed her by making her a sad victim of the men around her? I don't agree with this take but i see so many people argue in favour of stripping her of her agency in the show in that book!Alicent was nothing but a misogynistic caricature made by the sexist maesters.
Thanks for this question anon! I had actually been meaning to write something about the "evil stepmother" accusations that get thrown at book!Alicent because having recently re-read F&B, I just don't see it.
First of all, and I think most notably, Alicent's relationship with Rhaenyra doesn't really deteriorate completely until Daemon returns to court. Before that, we don't really have much information about the first few years of Viserys' marriage. The fandom likes to claim that Alicent was beefing with a 9 year old but that isn't really backed up with much evidence. After the account that nine year old Rhaenyra poured for her new stepmother at Alicent and Viserys' wedding (and on a seriously wtf note, helped undress her father for the bedding, but that's another topic), the next words we have about Alicent and Rhaenyra are when Alicent quips, about Rhaenyra's relationship with Criston Cole, "Ser Criston protects the princess from her enemies, but who protects the princess from Ser Criston?" And y'all? This is not beefing or bullying. Alicent is pointing out that Rhaenyra, now about 13-ish, is in a vulnerable position as an unmarried young woman. Is she also possibly picking up on some weird predatory vibes with Criston? Perhaps (which is also also interesting, considering Criston later defects to Alicent's camp)! Remember, book!Criston is only a year younger than Daemon, so anything between them would not only be completely off limits because Criston is a kingsguard, but also extremely inappropriate just based on their ages alone. Regardless, Rhaenyra is at this point surrounded by a lot of men ("many lords and knights sought her favor") and Alicent alone seems cognizant of the danger this poses.
After this, the relationship between Alicent and Rhaenyra evidently deteriorates, but we're not told precisely how, only that the "amity between Her Grace and her stepdaughter had proved short lived, for both Rhaenyra and Alicent aspired to be the first lady of the realm..." Keep in mind, this is Gyldayn editorializing without a source, and as for being "first lady of the realm," it's just as likely that Rhaenyra was jealous of her stepmother's position as queen as it was that Alicent had any particular animosity towards Rhaenyra. In any case, the book does not suggest that either of them are at fault for the breakdown.
This is also around the time that Otto gets sent home for bugging Viserys about the succession, so that probably had something to do with it, although this still does not amount to Alicent beefing with a child, as it's doubtful she brought up the situation to Rhaenyra herself, but rather she and Otto brought the issue to Viserys. And although I don't really want to get into the succession weeds here, I do want to make it clear that the expectation that Viserys would make his firstborn son his heir was an entirely reasonable one. Everywhere except for Dorne, sons inherit before daughters, and if Viserys had made it clear before he married Alicent that he had no intention of replacing Rhaenyra as heir, Otto might not have married Alicent to Viserys in the first place. There are multiple examples of men with daughters but no sons remarrying in order to get a male heir. It's the only reason Corlys offered Laena as a bride to Viserys (and, arguably, Corlys would have had the leverage to force the issue, which is perhaps one reason why he did not choose Laena). And it wasn't just Otto and Alicent-- people asked "what of the ruling of the Great Council in 101?" But Viserys basically told naysayers to shut up and stop asking. Okay.
Then we have the dress incident, and at this point Rhaenyra is 14, Daemon is back in town, and there's a tourney on. Alicent wears a green dress, Rhaenyra wears a black and red one. It's interesting that in this chapter, no additional context is given to this event. Much earlier in F&B, we do learn that the High Tower is lit green to call its banners against Maegor the Cruel. The show makes this association clear, but Gyldayn does not say that Alicent did this as a declaration of war on Rhaenyra, only that "the queen wore a green gown, whilst the princess dressed dramatically in Targaryen red and black." If you've read F&B, you know that Gyldayn loves editorializing, so the fact that the association made by the show is completely omitted here suggest that Gyldayn lacked this context, or people at the time of the event simply thought it was a green dress with no additional meaning, or perhaps he expected in-world readers to draw their own conclusions (although it's kind of unlike Gyldayn to resist showing off his knowledge when he can). Regardless, after that, the people gave them the nickname the blacks and the greens, and it stuck.
Anyway, it's clear Alicent and Rhaenyra aren't getting along at this point, and they probably resent each other, but there is no mention of Alicent actually doing anything whatsoever to harm Rhaenyra, much less "bullying a child who has just lost her mother" or "beefing with a nine year old." This seems to be a complete invention. Given that book!Rhaenyra is a spoiled only child, by this point a teenager, accustomed to having her father's undivided attention, and now he has a new wife and at this point three new children in his life, it's equally likely that Rhaenyra was feeling displaced and acting out. However, instead of giving her any helpful guidance or correcting her, the trusted adults in her life reinforce her negative feelings, and as we'll see, even use those insecurities to manipulate her. As for Alicent "poisoning her children against Rhaenyra," there's simply zero evidence to back this up. In fact, what eventually happens would seem to suggest that Alicent was at least somewhat concerned about the hostility between her children and Rhaenyra. And here is when things really break down, because this is where Daemon really starts to stir the pot.
Before the tourney, Daemon had been fighting in the stepstones. He returns to King's Landing a hero, and immediately latches onto Rhaenyra. As for Alicent, "although he treated her with all the courtesy due her station, there was no warmth between them, and men said that the prince was notably cool towards her children, especially his nephews, Aegon and Aemond, whose birth had pushed him still lower in the order of succession." So who is, in fact beefing with children? Daemon Targaryen. At the same time, Daemon starts cozying up to Rhaenyra, giving her extravagant gifts, telling her stories, and doing the one thing that is absolutely sure to win over a teenager, being a hater. Daemon hones in on Rhaenyra's issues with Alicent and together they have a great deal of fun openly mocking Alicent and her children, and what Daemon called the "lickspittles" who were in Alicent's camp. This works very well on Rhaenyra because of course it does! Daemon is the cool dragonriding uncle, the handsome Rogue Prince, and Rhaenyra is eating up the attention. She and Daemon have dragonraces and he tells her she's much prettier than Alicent and strokes that teenage ego. It's also at this point that the rumors about Daemon and Rhaenyra having a sexual relationship begin, and Daemon supposedly asks for Rhaenyra's hand in marriage because "who else would take her now?" Keep in mind, she's fourteen. And whether it's true or not, Viserys exiles Daemon again. He goes back to the Stepstones, and things settle down in King's Landing.
Of course the relationship between between Rhaenyra and her stepmother is bad by this point. Her and Daemon have just spent six months mocking her and her children and their supporters. Aegon is only about four or five years old, so the beef has got to be pretty one sided, although even little kids can tell when they're being given the cold shoulder or laughed at. Rhaenyra even makes a point of always referring to them as her half-brothers, rather than simply as her brothers. Still, a few years pass, Rhaenyra is now sixteen, and it's time for her to get married. Alicent proposes she marry Aegon, and one of the reasons she gives is that they don't get along well. "All the more reason to bind them together in marriage," Alicent says, acknowledging that Rhaenyra hating her now six year old younger brother is in fact a big fucking problem. If Alicent hoped for Rhaenyra and Aegon to marry, why on earth would she poison her children against Rhaenyra? But Viserys shoots this idea down, saying "the boy is Alicent's own blood. She wants him on the throne." And yes, of course she does, but she probably also wants him to stay alive.
So, Rhaenyra marries Laenor, and after that there's really no point in trying to maintain any sort of stepmother relationship, is there? Rhaenyra is now an adult, she's married, and she's made her feelings about Alicent and her siblings very clear. At this point, Alicent has to look out for the safety of her children, who are going to be Rhaenyra's biggest rivals. And if they dislike their older half-sister, who can blame them? Again, this is a girl who spent the better half of six months laughing at them. Rhaenyra did nothing but sabotage that relationship. And if Alicent decides she's going to fight for Aegon's inheritance, she's only doing what any mother in her position would do. There's no evidence she does it for power or greed, she simply does it because she doesn't owe Rhaenyra anything and letting someone who is actively hostile to her children take the throne unchallenged, especially when that person's claim is untraditional to say the least, and seen by many as being weaker than that of her sons, would be taking a huge risk with their lives. There's nothing "evil" in Alicent's actions. Book!Alicent did not bully Rhaenyra, did not "beef with a nine year old," or "poison her children against Rhaenyra," in fact, she did what she could to bind them together, but Rhaenyra, (at least in part taking her cues from Viserys and Daemon), was simply not interested. And you know, that's fine too, Rhaenyra doesn't have to love her stepmother or care about her half-brothers. They're much younger and it's natural that she wouldn't be much interested in them. But as heir to the throne? It sure would have been a much smarter idea to cultivate those relationships.
Book!Alicent isn't an "evil stepmother" though either, after a certain point she she simply prioritizes her own children over someone who has made it abundantly clear she has no use for any of them.

hotd episode 6 thoughts
ohhhh the family drama in this one was DELICIOUS, i enjoyed it very much.
i will admit i found the time skip a little jarring at first even though i knew it was coming, just because so much stuff happened during those years, but emma d’arcy and olivia cooke were absolutely SERVING and i loved them.
rhaenyra with her kids … rhaenyra obviously loving them so so much … rhaenyra smiling as soon as she saw baby joffrey … oh it was a lot.
as soon as older rhaenyra said “fuck” while climbing the stairs i was like. yes. absolutely. i love you, this is perfect casting.
i have been overly invested in daemon and rhaenyra’s children ever since reading f&b so i feel pretty emotional actually seeing jace, luke, joffrey, rhaena, and baela on my tv screen. they’re real! they’re little and squishy! i want desperately to protect them!
i’m really glad that they included alicent’s “do keep trying, sooner or later you may get one that looks like you” bit, it’s such an iconic line of bitchy dialogue.
i SO wish that we had gotten to see more of the relationship between rhaenyra and harwin (they didn’t even kiss!) but the little bits that we did see of it were really tender and lovely, especially with baby joffrey.
helaena targaryen being a weird little girl with a bug collection is something that can be so personal, actually.
also, her saying something like “you’ll have to close an eye” while aemond is talking to alicent about wanting a dragon … please oh PLEASE let helaena have prophetic dreams, that would be great.
i am aware that aemond targaryen is going to grow up to commit a ton of war crimes but honestly i just wanted to give him a hug in this episode.
alicent being constantly exasperated that her children are growing up to be a bunch of absolute weirdos was really, really funny.
we finally got to see vhagar! she is so large and so ugly and i love her very much and seeing her fly with caraxes was a lot of fun.
i’m really sad that we only got to see adult laena for one episode, she was so regal and self-possessed and i really liked her interactions with her daughters and the fact that she clearly doesn’t want to indulge daemon’s sulking.
the implication that daemon stayed away from westeros for 10 years because he couldn’t stand to be around rhaenyra when they were married to other people … oh man. oh boy. that is so much. can’t deal with this right now, sorry!
alicent and criston having a weird warped version of fealty and courtly love based on their shared hatred of the same person … yesssss i love it give me more.
harwin strong in his dilf era repeatedly punching criston cole in the face is literally everything i wanted to see from him in this episode.
viserys talking about the bonds of friendship being forged through combat together while aegon ii is beating up his nephews is just like. jesus christ. viserys please learn to read the room.
alicent and larys having their scheming little dinner together was so fun, especially since it’s clearly a common practice. seems like larys is going full-on villain and that’s going to be entertaining to watch.
kind of sad to see that daemon and rhaenyra’s marriages are both breaking down, but i can understand why since there are a lot of stressors in both of those relationships.
around halfway through this episode i was like “there seems to be a lot going on here, maybe i won’t have to watch harwin and laena die yet” so the last 10 minutes absolutely sucker-punched me.
rip lyonel strong you were a real one and possibly the only man in westeros with both honor and common sense.
i am not quite sure how i feel about laena’s death, i always thought childbirth was a lazy way to get rid of her and i can see that they were trying to add more dignity/autonomy but it also made it more violent … i’ll have to think on it.
the milf on milf violence in this was just really fun and i can’t wait to see more.
i am READY for the funeral drama next week, bring it on!

I guess I'm still weaker than you :( I know that TGs like to distort reality to suit their whim, but it still irritates me when they overuse words that they don't know the meaning of. And so inconsistently. Daemon is a rapist because he goes to a brothel, but Aemond no… although he used the same brothel. Daemon and Viserys are pedophiles, but Criston, who is Daemon's age, is not… It just irritates me so much 😅
You are not reliable. You're just human. And as a human, when we see so much bullshit being said so often it gets annoying. Once again, console yourself by telling yourself that they are profoundly stupid for making such comments, which... (sorry to be mean) is surely the case.

DORNE, 130 AC
In a Dornish hamlet, ethereal silks draped gracefully upon your form, and the soft chiming of gold jewels accompanied every movement. As young maidens danced around you, a circle of elder women surrounded you.
“Beautiful hair, thick and resilient,” one whispered, her touch tenderly weaving through your locks.
The collective murmur of agreement resonated, and your grin mirrored the reciprocity of compliments that flowed like a gentle breeze among kindred spirits.
Kindred spirits abound — men, women, and children mirroring your essence.
Amidst this tranquil interlude, a familiar, jarring screech pierced the air, disrupting the serenity. A distant crimson blur materialized in the sky, unsettling you. As the serpent-necked dragon descended menacingly, the ominous certainty of impending peril seized your consciousness.
“Run along, dears. No harm will befall you. He's here for me,” you reassured them.
“A dragon rider for you? Who?” inquired the older woman.
“My father,” you responded, prompting a furrowed brow that deepened the wrinkles framing her discerning eyes.
With eyes tinged in suspicion and anxiety, they fled, children cradled in their arms.
You remained motionless, unafraid of Daemon Targaryen, yet as he touched down, a subtle unease settled in your stomach. At that moment, your life unfolded before your eyes: a tapestry woven with images of your mother, heir to the Iron Throne, your brothers, Laenor Velaryon. And there, amidst the memories, lingered the haunting visage of the boy with the scarred face—your uncle, last encountered in what felt like a lifetime ago.
Seated beneath a prayer wheel, crafted by Queen Alicent, he awaited—a miracle the queen gave you leave to enter his chambers.
“Who enters?” croaked the young boy.
Closing the chamber door, you settled by his feet.
“Guess who,” you smiled down at him.
You weren't present during the horrific incident, much like Aegon. The younger children spared you the disturbance.
“Why did you come, b-bastard?” His puffy face sought direction, frizzy hair falling untamed.
Aemond's answer didn't faze you; a wounded child stood before you.
“I thought I was your friend, your flower.” You reached for him, but he swatted your hands away.
“A rose. A desert rose. Somehow, you flourish even in the wrong temperature,” he spat.
You came to console the blonde but left, the need for sympathies shifting to you. Grabbing your skirts, you shoved the door open, brushing by the guards into the echoes of the castle.
A bellow of your name and titles snapped you back to reality. Descending from Meraxes, your stepfather's gaze held a mix of anger and disappointment—a familiar look you'd encountered countless times. Though the exact memory eluded you, you believed it originated from the time you first entered this realm, a crying babe with dark curls.
“This is where you've been,” he strode towards you.
“Dorne,” you answered, feigning ignorance.
His eyes darkened.
“Do you realize how sick with worry your mother is?”
Your demeanor shifted, your hand resting on your stomach, the concern for your mother overpowering any attempt to hold your ground.
“I'm—” you began.
“No, listen to me. You don't have the fucking right to fly off by yourself without telling anybody, especially at this time.”
“I'm sorry,” teary eyes blurred your vision.
“I expected to find you a mess, maimed, scratched, on the brink of death. A corpse I'd have to carry back to Dragonstone for your mother! Yet here you are in costume, covered in gold,” he continued in a fit.
The sound of your sob halted him. He sighed, enveloping you in his arms, soothing your babbling apologies. Cupping your face, his calloused fingers brushed away your tears, your quivering mouth unable to articulate.
“ Tala. You are the blood of the dragon. Don't ever think less of yourself.” He tightened his embrace, pressing your face against his chest.
His hand shrugged off the Dornish textile from your shoulders.
“You are a Targaryen, you are your mother's daughter,” he whispered.

Ok, Imagine: Daemon and Rhaenyra having a bastard child in Yan!HOTD AU
I always like to start these posts blaming someone for my crazy ideas, but today is not @missglaskin 's fault, it's you @rosaryos, you did this to me...keep going.
T.W: The entire plot of HOTD with spoilers and maybe some other things, like, seriously, it's the Targaryens.
〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓〓
Prologue:
So we all know what happened in episode 4, Rhaenyra and Daemon almost committed Society crimes(You know what i mean) and did it on that brothel, but then Daemon back away and left like a b*tch. But what if he didn't?
And once they were done, Rhaenyra being a young horny soul still went for that Cole stick. Just to keep things as they were in the plot.
And then all the drama happen, including Rhaenyra and Laenor's marriage, but we all know they never consummated because of fruit preferences-
And then 9 months later, Rhaenyra gives birth to a baby girl with silver hair and violet eyes that shine. Of course, she knows it's not Laenor's, much less Criston's...it had be Daemon's.
But she let it aside to avoid drama, specially after the birth of the boys.
No one questioned your legitimacy, since there's no proof of Rhaenyra being with Daemon and you had all the Targaryen features...even if your grandfather likes to say that you have Laenor's nose.
You are the realms delight (taking your mother's title) and the heir to the Iron Throne after your mother. Everyone adores you and it's already considered a crime to make you sad, not gonna lie, you use that to your own advantage.
Your mother and "father" both are proud of you, you are the role model for every girl in the realm, the kind and polite princess...when they are looking, in reality, you could incinerate the Red Keep if you wanted.
Viserys is the funny proud grandfather, he liked to watch you playing around as you grow, it kinda reminded him of Rhaenyra when she was your age. But you way more gracious.
Jacaerys is the brother who is always willing to protect from everyone and everything, even a frickin spider, puts you on a pedestal and will fight anyone who dares to take you away. Now Lucerys is the type to gain your affection by pretending to be hurt, since he's the youngest of the bunch. They both are pretty possessive, like your mother.
Even if you don't look nothing alike, you never brought this up, like it never bothered you. Even if Alicent brought it up a few times behind your mother's back.
Speaking of Alicent, she and her kids adore you. Alicent takes on a motherly role with you, while Helaena, who is the closest girl to your age, is more of a sister, who you like to hear rambling about her insects and still tries to understand some of the things she says. Now Aegon has always being a creep, and his special likeness on you doesn't change that, but he doesn't too far by his mother's warning(She knows her son and his tendencies), as for Aemond...do you know those childhood crushes that you idolize and all? That's him (Don't worry, it's gonna get worse).
As the boys all are pretty competitive, specially when you watch them spar along side your grandfather. They look forward to you admiring them and saying how well they went.
But in reality, you wanted to be there with them. You always wanted to learn how to fight too. But the adults were completely against this, scared that you would get hurt, but isn't that the point on learning?
Either way, you suppress this by watching the boys spar instead (with Aegon being a fckin show off)
Sir Harwin is also very protective of you, not just because he is fcking protective of your mother as well, but he views you as his own daughter, like the boys.

Episode 6:
You were with your brothers and Sir Harwin when Laenor and Rhaenyra arrive with baby Joffrey, while he seemed a bit agitated, just until you got closer to see him, then he immediately stopped and remained calm. You looked at him more clearly, he was just like Jace and Luke, so you knew that he wasn't Laenor (None of you are anyway-) so you feared on how people were going to discuss more about the legitimacy of your brothers and judge your mother, you can't handle the drama.
Then Luke and Jace are sended to the Dragon Pit, you don't go after them, for you don't have a dragon of your own, since the egg never hatched. Which made you jealous of your siblings.
But there was someone who could understand your frustrations, Aemond, who also doesn't have a dragon, but different from you, he's constantly picked on by his and your brothers(But they would never make fun of you though, that would be a sin at this point-).
Before he was brought to his mother, Aemond went to you for confort after the boys gave him a pig, and boy YOU WERE ANGRY, sure, they did many things before, but you developed a strong bond with Aemond at this point and this more than insulting.
You knew it was Jace's idea, you made sure he realized how he messed up. And he did apologized(To you, not Aemond-) But he knows you wouldn't forget what he did so soon, and you might not speak to him for the rest of the day, the same for Luke.
You didn't even look at Aegon, and that made the boy confused as hell, until he realized that you weren't talking to your brothers as well.
Again, you were watching the boys spar with your grandfather, as he commented on how this could created a bond between them, and as much as you admired his perspective, you weren't clueless enough to believe that would happen.
You also were aware of Sir Criston's favoritism towards Aegon and Aemond, dedicating himself to teach the two better then with your brothers. But you never understood why.
And things just got worse when Sir Harwin punched Sir Criston. all because of the stupid comment he made, you watched as the guards dragged Harwin away from your brother's instructor.
You worried for your mother right away.
At the small council, Rhaenyra tries to calm the conflict between her and Alicent by betroth Jace to Helaena, but her offer was striked back by Alicent, who instead offered to marry you to Aegon.
There was 15 seconds of silent before both left the room, Rhaenyra out of disgust and Alicent out of shame. Both knew of Aegon's tendencies, Alicent more than Rhaenyra. So only the Gods would know what he could do to you if you were to marry. Even Viserys pointed that it wasn't a wise offer from Alicent later on.
Soon, Harwin had to leave to Harrenhal, he came to say goodbye to you and your family. You were sad to know this, Harwin was a good man and a good paternal figure to the boys. He bid his goodbye to you all and left right away.
That encouraged Rhaenyra to leave King's Landing to Dragon Stone immediately. Before you went away, however, you met up with Aemond and Helaena to say goodbye, only getting to exchange looks with Aegon as you crossed paths. You did noticed his disappointment and mad look.
Now in Dragon Stone, things might be less chaotic, of course, that's until you received the news. Harwin Strong died in a fire on Harrenhal and Laena Velaryon, your father's sister, died after a failing on giving birth.
Gods be good.

Episode 7:
It was a bright day, but sad and filled with grief, as Laena's funeral started. You never knew her personally, nor did you knew her family. You only heard about them from your parents, as you watched the coffin being thrown into the water, you noticed the looks of others at you. But only one intrigued you, Daemon Targaryen, your grandfather's brother and Laena's husband.
Daemon was conflicted, not just because of what happened, but at this new discovery of his, as he watched you approach him to give your condolences, he noticed your features. You were not too far from Rhaenyra's oldest son in age, but you looked nothing like him. And Daemon never heard of of Rhaenyra having a daughter.
You spend the rest of the day trying to confort Laena's daughters, Baela and Rhaena. You could understand a bit of how they felt, as you viewed Harwin as family, but you couldn't attend his funeral, as your mother pointed that it wouldn't be proper.
You also tried to talk to the others, your grandfather, Alicent (And you did noticed clubfoot looking at her, but didn't questioned), Aegon and Aemond(which you discovered of Aegon's engagement to Helaena, poor girl)
At their conversation, Daemon asked about you, demanding to know whether you were his and why Rhaenyra never told him. Your mother simply said that due to him abandoning her for Laena, she didn't bother him with this information. The argument continued until one thing let another and everyone knows how this ended (Two horni mfs)
You couldn't help but feel betrayed, he was the only one who understood you and now, he goes and steals a dragon that wasn't his to claim to just rub it on your face?
At night, you were awakened by Baela, who told that someone stoled Vaghar, Laena's dragon. You immediately went after them to find Aemond, declaring that he claimed the old dragon.
Soon there was a fight, and you did your best to stop it before it got messy. But the boys shoved you on the ground and keep fighting. Right after, you heard Aemond calling your brothers "bastards" and you saw Luke cutting his face.
You were all taken away by the guards. And as the maester took care of Aemond's face, you hugged your brothers. Unlike them, you luckily just had a few scratches.
Soon the adults arrived, your mother went straight to check on you, Jace and Luke. As the maester announced the Aemond lost his eye forever, you felt a bit guilty, but you couldn't deny that he was at fault.
Alicent demanded justice, and Viserys denied it, the whole argument was a pain to be heard, you only focused on your brothers, as Daemon and Rhaenyra guarded you three. And then Alicent tried to attack Lucerys, you blocked him while your mother held the Queen, which resulted in her being cut.
You stayed at your mother's side as the maester treated her wound and your brother's. Laenor finally showed up and regretful, apologized deeply for leaving you all when you needed him.
...and then he died.
The news striked you hard, he was your father...at least he raised you, you lost a lot in less then a week. But you kept your composure, for your mother decided to marry Daemon right after, and you were a witness together with your siblings.
After that, Rhaenyra sat you down and told you the truth, about Daemon being your true father and you were technically a bastard, not anymore, since they got married.
Now your life was turning upside down and it was just the beginning

HARWIN LITERALLY JUST A MAN
I have wanted to make this post for some time now, I just didn't know how.
Everywhere I have been engaging with the daemyra, f&b, and hotd fandoms, there seems to be this synonym agreement that Harwin is a goodie golden boy. Yet that description never fits from what little we can assume and know. It also bothers me how so many points at Rhaenyra in regard to their affair but not at Harwin.
Talking the book, we know his sisters are Rhaenyra's ladies and his father is the hand. He has been in King's Landing since Rhaenyra was a child. It is unrealistic to suggest they haven't been in the same circles at court, HIS FATHER IS THE HAND AND SISTERS HER LADIES. People love to point the finger at Daemon but praise Harwin for being this self-sacrificing man. But what is he sacrificing? He becomes the lover of the girl he watched grow up. He fathers children on her, he becomes her sworn shield. He gets both soft and hard power over her. This man takes so much from her, and what does she get in return?
If the fandom is going to give Daemon malicious intentions with his relationship with Rhaenyra, why give Harwin a pass? Harwin has everything to gain from being Rhaenyra's lover. And it isn't as if he will face the wrath of society for his deeds. He is just the lucky man who gets to fuck the Realms Delight. If Daemon is a man of his time, then so is Harwin. Because he does nothing to help Rhaenyra in regard to the bastard allegations, he never removes himself, marries, or does anything helpful. Why? Because he is a man, and having bastards is totally normal for men in Westeros. He has grown up knowing that is unfortunate, but 'oh well it happened'.
Just because he stayed beside her when she gave birth, means shit nothing. He was decent about that, good for him. It is the same as Laenor being beside her, even though he couldn't care less about her. That doesn't make him a saint for being at her side.
It is funny how she chose the son of the hand as her lover. There were surely others, let's not pretend there wouldn't be. One could argue that Harwin had Rhaenyra's trust and that she had known him for years. He has also been in close proximity to her since she was 8 years old. He could have easily positioned himself well because as she aged she became a beauty, and he being a man wanted her. Harwin had every opportunity to manipulate his way into her bed, and that trust he has as her sworn shield is giving Criston Cole vibes just played better. It is also worth mentioning that Rhaenyra was vulnerable at the time. She was forced to marry, threatened with disinheritance, had to deal with Alicent, and her Daemon was sent away by her father. Harwin was just being a friend, bffr. He saw an opening and took it, nothing more to it.
Harwin's actions reflect that he may have cared for Rhaenyra but in a selfish way. If he wanted to truly help her case and his own, he would FUCKING MARRY SOMEONE. So if Daemon is being treated as this evil power-grabbing person, so should Harwin. Sorry, not sorry.
Also check out @sydalelys01 post about harwin and criston, it's really good.

There is something to be said for the utter outrage that mainstream audiences feel when they hear Criston Cole call Rhaenyra a c*nt (rightfully so) as well as Vaemond call her a wh*re (again rightfully so - the audience should be outraged).
However that same audience will then laugh and feel zero outrage when Alicent Hightower is called a wh*re by Daemon Targaryen. Rhae Royce is repeatedly called a b*tch and compared to an animal and again the audience laughs.
Even when Rhaenyra herself who the audience feels so much love for is faced with emotional and domestic violence the audience this time doesn’t laugh but excuses and sexualizes.
It’s not emotional abuse that Rhaenyra is made to face a terrifying miscarriage alone while screaming for her husband. No rather it’s Daemon who is centered and Daemon who has trauma because he lost his wife before. It’s not domestic violence when Rhaenyra is choked by her husband it’s either *sexy* or once again Daemon’s *trauma* rearing it’s head. Like not trying to be that person but I’m not surprised that certain things play out the way they do in real life when this is how the general audience reacts.

King’s Landing is a once lively and beautiful place of freedom. Where lords and ladies could walk the halls arms linked, giggling and talking aloud of gossip. An area the royal family of House Targaryen had raised their families with peace and alliance of love and family. The sun would shine down on the kingdom, encouraging the dragons to soar through the skies with their riders. But now it was nothing but a darkened hole of depression, no longer filled with life, but instead covered in the faith of the seven. The seven-pointed star haunted the halls of the Blacks as they entered, staring at the unfamiliar halls that brought an uncomfortable shiver to the children.
The only daughter of Rhaenyra and Harwin Strong stared up at the star in confusion, her brother’s having run off to the training grounds. “I do not get it. What does it mean?” she whispered. Her guard shifted from beside her staring up at the star, then looking down at the princess. “It is a religion of the seven gods princess,” he answered. She hummed, turning from the star and walking in the same direction her brothers had walked mere minutes ago. Walking down the steps of the court, holding her dress seeing her brother standing at the weapons table. “Luke!” she called out. The younger looked away from their older brother smiling at his older sister, his arm lacing her when she stepped up beside him.
It amazed Luke how happy his sister was. The only reason they were back in Kings Landing was to push the claim of Driftmark to another because she is deemed a bastard. But she smiled without a care, too naive to come to terms with the title bastard. She was named heir of Driftmark the moment she was born after Jacecerys and that is the reason they are here; to be pushed down and away from the throne of Driftmark, where she will sit. Jace led towards a crowd that surrounded two wielders, one that tall with long white hair, and the other was Ser Criston Cole, or as Daemon called him, Ser Crispin. “Aemond..” she whispered to Jace. “Could be Aegon,” Jace muttered back. Her head turned growing more interested in the others surrounding the two, her guard standing tall behind her watching the prince and king's guard. “Well done my prince.” Ser Criston spoke. Her head turned back seeing it was indeed Aemond, a smile spreading across her features; while Jace and Luke looked uncomfortable. “Aemond..” she whispered. “You’ll be winning tourneys in no time.” Criston complimented. “I don’t give a shit about tourneys. Nephews, niece.” Aemond spoke, slowly lowering his sword with a spin. “Have you come to train nephews?” he asked. “Kepus..” she spoke, but Jace grabbed her quickly turning her away from their uncle. She was far too innocent to understand the conflict between the two families, being hidden away and under-knowledged all her life.
Her smile faded quickly when the gates opened presenting Veamond Valerian. Her guard stepped forward, hand pressed over the handle of his sword when Vaemond stopped his pace staring at the princess. Her heart sped up in her ears, breath froze in her throat nearly choking her. Jace and Luke stepped up beside the guard, watching as Vaemond looked away without a word escaping him. “Asshole..” Jace muttered. “Don’t say that,” she whispered. Her guard didn’t let her move until Lord Vaemond was out of view, then gently ushering her forward, back towards the kingdom. Luke looked back towards Aemond, noticing the way his uncle watched his sister, a look of hunger and lust hidden behind his lilac eye.
Aemond wanted to corrupt his little niece and watch her fall apart beneath him. He wanted her cheeks to be soaked in tears, eyes filled with nothing but pleasure and want. He wanted to hear her beg and plead for him to fuck her til she no longer had a voice to beg with. He was tempted to drag her away, take her into a brothel making her look upon the world's sins of sex. Force her to listen as the women and men moan out in pleasure, profanities leaving them. Make her smell the strong scent in the air that filled the pleasuring halls. Aemond wanted to watch her break and fall, pleading for him to pick her back up and fix her, making her his in every single way possible; then toss her aside watching her mind break as no other is able to please her the way he was able to do so.
Her head turned back looking at her younger brother and then at him, her brown Hughes meeting his lilac one. She smiled gracefully, then called to Luke who quickly turned and followed after his siblings. They re-entered the Red Keep, the girl splitting from her brother’s going for her own chambers, guard following as always. She entered her old chambers, humming at the lack of change, making her way over towards the lounge in front of the fireplace, quickly sitting and lifting her legs. Her guard smiled sheepishly at her, the soft whispers of words leaving her didn’t bother him. She had visions just like Helaena did, Daemon had started calling her Amelia Velerion the pure Dragon Dreamer. It was a title that always made the princess smile, which would earn her a head pat from the Rogue Prince. “The strong that strikes the green wishing power will fall to his knees..” she whispered.
A knock on the door made the guard turn and unlatch it, pulling the door back and coming face to face with the one-eyed prince. “Prince Aemond, princess.” her guard informed her. She turned resting her chin on the back of the lounge and smiling at her uncle as he entered the room. “You can go, I wish to be alone with my niece,” Aemond ordered. The guard looked towards the princess for confirmation to which she nodded with a kind smile. He bowed, turned, and walked out closing the door behind him and taking a post beside the door. Aemond walked towards her, to which she watched him with a naive gaze. “I didn’t get much of a hello in the courtyard, dear niece.” he rasped. “My apologies uncle,” she whispered. She lowered her legs, standing to her full height, which wasn’t that tall. She was tiny compared to him, his hand reaching out and grasping at her right arm pulling her closer to him. Her innocent dough eyes stared up at him, her hand curling around, wrapping around his forearm as he did with hers.
He slowly stepped forward, making her take a step back waist hitting the lounge chair’s armrest. He leaned forward, his other hand moving to her waist pulling her into his chest and pressing against him. A small pitched yelp escaped her, hand grasping at his tunic, heartbeat speeding up. His hand moved from her arm, wrapping her in his strong grasp. She lowered her arms and wrapped them around his torso hugging him back, smiling softly. To her this was innocent, but to him, it was a cage that she was slowly falling into. She smelled of golden roses with a hint of lavender incense, also a small hint of dragon stench sitting on her skin. She relaxed in his hold, tucking her head into his shoulder, listening to his calm heartbeat.
“Let me touch you,” he muttered. She was confused, hands moving to sit against his chest. “You are touching me kepus..” she whispered. His knee moved to push her legs open, one hand moving down and beginning to pull her red golden laced dress up, til it bunched at her waist. “No. Let me truly touch you,” he muttered. “Aemond no..” she gasped. “It’s okay sweet girl. I’m only showing how much I’ve missed you.” he pushed. She looked uncertain, whining as his knee pushed into her covered cunt, eyes linked to his uncovered one. “Move your hips little one, it’ll make you feel good,” he whispered. She looked down at the connection between them, slowly grinding her hips down onto his knee, a strained gasp escaping her. “That's a good girl. Keep going, grind your pretty little pussy down on my knee,” he ordered. She whined obeying his words, hand pressed into his arm grinding herself down on him. Every 3 movements, he would flex his thigh, which would push into her clit causing a louder moan to escape her lips.
She looked up at him, lips parted, hands moving forward grasping at his waist pulling him closer. Pitched whines escaping her, while he watched her with a hazy gaze. She leaned up, nose pressing to his, heated breaths escaping her, and falling onto his own. Finally, she pushed forward, glossed lips molding with his, but he didn't kiss back. No instead he grabbed her throat pushing her back, a confused look forming in her eyes. "Aemond.." she moaned in disappointment. Pushing forward once more, only for him to lift his chin stopping her from kissing him.
Once he realized her want for control, his wanting lust slowly disappeared. He saw a look that matched Daemon's gaze of control, the eyes of a true Targaryen wishing for power. Those innocent eyes disappeared the further she got into pleasure. "Aemond.." she whispered. He moved away, pushing her back against the armrest, her hand catching herself so she wouldn't stumble. "Aemond." She repeated. But he just let out a deep hum, turning, and walking away no longer interested. He opened her door and walked out, listening as it shut behind him. She looked down in confusion, letting her dress fall back into place, teeth cutting into her lower lip. Her guard re-entered her room, head turning towards him quickly standing up straight and straightening herself. "Are you alright princess?" he softly questioned. "Yes.. Yes I'm alright." she stumbled.
She looked at him closely, standing straight and tall with confidence. His armor was black as night itself, his brown hair was pushed back leaving a few strands to frame his face. His eyes were the colors of emeralds, reminding her of her own dragon's eyes. His jaw was nearly sharp enough to cut paper, body lean but muscular even more noticeable beneath the armor. He had two swords by his side, one black with silver linings and a crown embroidered to the cover. The other golden laced with the same gems gems that sat on her neck, pronouncing him as her personal guard, her knight in shining black armor.
She didn't know what came over her, possibly it was hazy arousal Aemond had left her in that gave her a large amount of confidence to tease her guard. She grabbed the helmet from his hand, quickly stepping back and hiding it behind her back. He looked confused, eyeing her closely slowly stepping forward to take it back, but she stepped back once more. "You must earn it." she whispered. "How would you like me to do that princess?" he questioned. His deep voice sent chills down her spine, goosebumps gathering beneath her dress. "Touch me." she whispered. She could see him tense, then take in a deep breath and release it, replaying her words in his head. He walked forward, a large veined hand moving to sit against her left arm, slowly moving down to sit against her waist. Her eyes never moved from his, the helmet falling from her hand clashing with the stone flooring. "Please.." she whispered. The desperation in her sweetened tone made him give in. Leaning down, their lips mere inches from one anothers, breaths fading into one. Slowly she moved forward, placing her soft lips against his, muscled arm wrapping around her waist pulling her closer to him.
Her arms moved up, wrapping around his neck pulling him closer to her smaller frame. His hand slowly began to undo the dress atoning her figure, pulling the strings of the corset loose then carefully pulling the dress down her arms. His lips pressed to her cheek, her jaw, her throat, her neck, her shoulders, then right above her breasts. Every inch of skin he uncovered, he worshiped, kissing, licking, biting, but never once leaving any marks. Soon he was on his knees, his emerald faze lifting to her loving brown Hughes. "Grey.." she whispered. A deep hum escaped him, carefully lifting one of her legs resting it over his shoulder placing kisses along the inside of her thigh. Her head fell back against the wall, his kisses getting higher and higher, until finally they reached her cunt.
Pulling her panties aside, he dove in like she was his last meal. His lips wrapped around her sensitive mound, sucking at it causing moans to escape her glossy lips. Her back arched, fingers pulling him in further. Grey's tongue probed at her tigh hole, fucking into her, thumb pressing to her clit pushing and rubbing it in circles. Slick dripped from her cunt, moving down her thighs. The fingers in his hair tightened, pulling him closer, pleading for more as the knot in her stomach grew and grew, pleading for it to let loose. He licks and sucks got quicker, harder, feasting on her, tasting the sweetened dessert that sat between her legs. Then it burst, her back arched head falling back into stone, a loud pitched moan escaping her lips. Slick poured from her cunt, to which he drank in seconds. Her thighs shook against him as he licked and cleaned her, drinking every drop, not once letting it go to waste. As he lowered her leg she stumbled forward, making him catch her slowly standing and lifting her up. "Do you feel better princess?" he softly questioned. "Yes.. I thank you Grey.." she whispered. He laid her down gently, kissing her forehead in a loving manner.
He walked over grabbing a towel, wetting it then returning carefully cleaning her up. She watched him with a soft smile, the aftercare comforting her sensitive body. After he finished with that he placed another kiss on her forehead, pulling the fur blankets up and covering her, allowing her to slip into her dreams.
He left the room quietly but the sight of Rhaenyra made him freeze in worry. Her lilac gaze sat on him, then smiled softly knowing exactly what happened. "Do not fret, I was the same way." she softly spoke. He let out a sigh of relief, head lowering slightly. "I didn't take her maiden your grace." he whispered. "I know." Rhaenyra softly replied. "Don't let Aemond enter her chambers alone. The same with Aegon. The only males that should be alone with her are you, her brothers, or Daemon. I don't trust the others in this castle." Rhaenyra ordered. "Yes, your grace." Grey replied. Rhaenyra bowed her head, then continued her way towards her father's room.

Amelia walked through the gardens the next morning with Luke and Grey, awaiting Daemon to retrieve her for the petitions. Usually she'd take Cannibal out, but her mother thought it to be a bad time due to the early morning duties. "The flames will burst due to the lack of control.." she whispered while holding a rose. Luke looked up at her in confusion to her words. He's heard Daemon calling her visions a gift but a nightmare. She had Helaena where both dragon dreamers as Daemon called them, Helaena's being more invasive than Amelia's.
Amelia turned, seeing her mother's red dress in the corner of her eye. "It's time, you two." She softly spoke. Amelia lowered the rose slowly releasing it to lay on the grass, making her way to follow her mother to the throne room. Grey walking directly behind, hand clasped over the golden laced sword. Her heels clicked aling with her mother's along the stone floor, Daemon gently taking his step daughter's hand placing her in front of him, Luke standing beside her along with Jace on the other side. Grey stood beside Daemon, green eyes pouring into Aemond's one eye. The older males gaze darkened, making the Targaryen boy look away in annoyance.
Her head turned to stand front, seeing Otto sitting on the throne made her physically uncomfortable, her family seeming to share the same thoughts. She could feel Veamond's hardened gaze on her, but she never once gave him the satisfaction of her looking at him. Her dress was black with red lace, dragon scale detail was present along her shoulder and down her back. The necklace she was wearing was the same necklace Daemon had given her mother when she was younger, along with a silver dragon scaled collar that wrapped around the back of her neck, the tail springing in all sorts of directions.
"Though it is the great hope of this court that lord Corlys Verlaryon survive his wounds,we gather here with the grim task of dealing with the succession of Driftmark. As Hand, I speak with the King's voice on this and all other matters. The crown will now hear the petitions. Ser Veamond of house Verlaryon." Otto spoke down on them. She could see Daemon's look of annoyance and the way he eyed her and Rhaenyra.
Vaemond looked at her, then stepped forward with his hand clasping in front of him. "My queen. My lord Hand. The history of our noble houses extends beyond the Seven Kingdoms to the days of old Valyra. For as long as House Targaryen has ruled the skies, House Verlaryon has ruled the seas. When the doom fell on Valyrian, our houses became the last of their kind. Our forebearers came to this new land, knowing that were they to fail, it would mean the end to their bloodlines and their name. I have spent my entire life on Driftmark defending my brother's seat. I am Lord Corlys' closest kin, his own blood. The true, unimpeachable blood of House Velaryon runs through my veins." Vaemond spoke at the beginning of his petition.
"As it does in my son's and daughters, the offspring of Laenor Velaryon." Rhaenys defended. "If you cared so much about your house's blood, Ser Vaemond, you would not be so bold as to supplant its rightful heir. No, you only speak for yourself and for your own ambition." Rhaenyra insulted but informed. Amelia's hand wrapped around her mother's wrist, Alicent speaking up with her smart tone, making the blacks send her a sharpened glare. "You will have a chance to make your own petition, Princess Rhaenyra. Do Ser Vaemond the courtesy of allowing his to be heard."
Vaemond turned away from the queen and looked at the blacks with a smirk. Rheanrya looked away, but Amelia lifted her gaze holding him. Her gaze was dark, eyes almost black, making his gaze shift in the slightest. His gaze then moved back towards Rhaenyra regaining his smirk. "What do you know of Velaryon blood, princess?" he questioned. "I could cut my veins and show it to you, and you still wouldn't recognize it. This is about the future and survival of my house, not yours." he smoothly spoke. Rhaenyra kept her face ahead, head nodding holding in any remarks or harsh emotions ready to spill out. Vaemond looked back down at Amelia, then turned away annoyed when he didn't get a shocked look like he got from her brothers, instead turning back to the queen and the hand. "My queen, my Lord Hand. This is a matter of blood, not ambition. I place the continuation of the survival of my house and my line above all. I humbly put myself before you as my brother's successor. The Lord of Driftmark and Lord of the tides." he spoke.
"Without Lord Corlys' here I doubt you have the right to consider yourself successor, when he has already named an heir." Amelia spoke up. "Without proper notice from your king, the Lord of Driftmark and the tides here you can ot call yourself successor, Lord Vaemond." she snapped. There wasn't time for naivety or innocence, she placed her mindset in the view of a queen, the heir of Driftmark. Daemon looked away smiling with pride, Rhaenyra looking at her with a look of pure shock, while Luke and Jace smirked. "You cannot call yourself Lord of Driftmark and Lord of the tides, Lord Vaemond. You are of kin, a second son, and you should know your place." she coldly added. "As should you princess." Alicent spoke up. Just as the princess was about to add a snarky comment towards the queen, the doors opened, the king presenting himself with two guards by his side. Vaemond couldn't snap at the girl like he wanted, especially when the king entered the throne room.
The knights introduced him, as he walked down the isle. The princess turned her gaze back towards her mother who smiled softly, touching her shoulder. "He's here to defend you my dear girl." Rhaenyra whispered. The princess turned her head, bowing to the king who looked at her, pride could be seen in his eyes. He then walked forward, head turning up to Otto Hightower. "I will sit on the throne today," he whispered. "Your grace." Otto muttered, bowing his head. Viserys began walking the steps, showing obvious struggle leaning forward, the crown falling from his head. She moved past her family, walking directly towards her grandsire, walking up the few steps kneeling and lifting the crown from the floor. "Here grandsire, let me help you." she softly spoke. He looked at her, nodding allowing her to help him up the rest of the steps, carefully sitting him. She leaned forward placing the crown on his head, bowing her head. "Thank you my dear child.." he whispered. "Of course my king." she whispered. Turning she walked back down the steps, taking her place beside Daemon and Grey once more. "Thank you." Rhaenyra whispered.
"I must admit my confusion." the king began. "I do not understand why petitions are being heard over a settled succession. The only one present who might offer keener insight into Lord Corlys' wishes, is the princess Rhaenys." the king spoke. "Indeed your grace." Rhaenys replied. "It was every husband's will that Driftmark passed through Ser Leanor to his trueborn daughter Amelia Verlaryon. His mind never changed. Nor did I support him. As a matter of fact Princess Rhaenyra has just informed me of her desire to marry her children Amelia, Jace, and Luke to Lord Corlys grandson and granddaughter; Jaehaerys, Baela, and Rhaena. A proposal to which I heartily agree." Rhaenys informed.
The three children turned their heads towards the three Valeryon children, each smiling innocently at one another turning and looking away. "Well… The matter is settled. Again. I hereby reaffirm Princess Amelia of House Velaryon as Heir to Driftmark, the Driftwood throne, and the next lady of the tides." the king spoke. Amelia nodding, along with Rhaenyra each keeping their eyes forward on the king.
"You break law and centuries of tradition to install your daughter as heir. Yes you dare tell me who deserves to inherit the name Verlaryon. No. I will not allow it." Vaemond spat towards the king. "Allow it? Do not forget yourself, Vaemond." the king muttered. Vaemond glared at the king, then turned and pointed at the princess, to which Daemon shifted, grabbing her shoulder. "That is no true Verlaryon, and certainly no niece of mine." Vaemond growled. Amelia swallowed watching him, her mother ordering her to go to her chambers while remarking to Vaemond. "Amelia is my true-born granddaughter. And you are no more than the second son of Driftmark." the king spoke down on him. "You.. May run your house as you see fit, but you will not decide the future of mine. My house survived the doom, and a thousand tribulations besides. And god's be damned… I will not see it ended on the account of this.." he muttered staring directly at Amelia. Grey pulled her back seeing the way Daemon was shifting Dark Sister. "Say it.." the prince whispered. "Her children.. are BASTARDS!" he yelled. Amelia and her brothers flinched, Rhaenyra quickly covering her children glaring at Vaemond. "And she is a whore… And her daughter will follow in her footsteps." he whispered.
Amelia's heartbeat sped up quickly at the mention of her being a whore, head turning away in shame feeling like the Lord in front of her knew of her doings. The king stood pulling the kings dagger from his side. "I will have your tongue for that.." he muttered. But Daemon got Vaemond first, Dark Sister cut through Vaemond's skull like it was butter. The sounds of gasps and yells escaped the crowds, the sounds of Vaemond's body slapping to the floor, blood spilling on the stone staining it red. Amelia looked, lips parting, quickly turning away eyes wide in fear. Grey's arm wrapped around her, stopping her from looking at the horrid scene. "He can keep his tongue." Daemon spoke down at the body. "Unarm him!" Otto ordered. Guards moved forward to do so, Daemon lifting Dark Sister, cleaning it muttering a 'no need' and rejoining his family.
Grey held the princess' head, Rhaenyra ordering him to get her out of here. To which he immediately obeyed, leading her away, turning her so she wouldn't see the body. Whispers escaped her in a panic, hands shaking as they sat against her ears. The greens watched the princess be removed, Alicent holding her stomach feeling ill with the scene in front of her.
Amelia was led far from the throne room, and taken to the gardens so she could get some fresh air. Grey kneeled in front of her, watching as she whispered to herself, breathing heavily. "Hey little one.. I need you to look at me okay, just me, just hear my voice." he softly spoke. She looked down at him, shaking in fear. "Deep breath in.. Good girl, now slowly let it out.. good. Keep doing that okay, with me." he softly spoke. She obeyed following his breaths with her own, hands lowering to her sides. "Good, good," he whispered. He slowly stood to his full height brushing a few dark strands of hair back. "The green will take and take til the black submit." she whispered. He wanted to question her words, but he knew she wouldn't have an answer so he held back.
Grey lifted his gaze from her lowered one seeing the one-eyed prince standing in the doorway. The princess didn't look up, still doing the breathing exercise, despite the small whispers of visions escaping her lips. "My prince." Grey spoke up. His soft tone was gone when he addressed the man. Aemond moved towards his niece, taking her chin in his hand and lifting her gaze. "Quite the panic niece, are you okay?" he questioned. She nodded slowly looking up at him, memories of him leaving her in desperation coming back. "Answer properly." he ordered. She took in a heavy breath, the exercising disappearing in seconds. "Yes.." she whispered. Her voice was shaky, hand reaching out for her guard, but Aemond caught lifting it to his lips. "I must congratulate you on your betrothal dear niece." he rasped. He released her hand smirking at the panic he put her in, turning and walking away forcing Grey to go right back to addressing her regained panic.

Before dinner had started or even announced, Aemond had his niece pinned to the stone walls of the red keeps halls. Her back to him, his hand hidden beneath her dress, fingers thrusting in and out of her. "You're enjoying this aren't you? You tell me to stop yet you drip over my fingers.." he whispered hotly in her ear. He had placed her right back into a panicked state, using it as an advantage to manhandle her into the position he wanted.
She had been on her way to get her brothers for dinner, when Aemond had stopped her with a dagger twirling in his hand. He got her against the wall, the blade pointed at the middle of her throat, chest rising and falling at a quick pace pleading for him to leave her be. "Beg more niece." he had whispered. He pressed the blade to her throat ordering for her to turn and lift her skirt, to which she had obeyed despite her pleas for him not to do this out in the open.
"Aemond.." she whimpered. Soon her head fell back giving into his handlings, the blade no longer an issue as it pressed into her skin. She could yell out, and Grey would be by her side in seconds, ripping the prince from her and beheading him; but she didn't, she just whined and moaned into his neck. Her hand moved up grasping at his wrist, not pulling or moving it away, but merely holding onto it. Her Targaryen blood showed the want for any ounce of control she could gain from the moment. Her arm soon raised wrapping around his neck pulling him down closer to her. She pulled his hand from her throat that held the dagger, his fingers moving out of her. Just as he was about to walk away she grabbed him, pulling him back by the leather tunic, her back now pressed into the wall. "Why run away?" she whispered. He looked down at, putting the dagger back into its sheath staring down at her. "Don't tell me you're scared of me uncle." she whispered. "Do I look scared?" he questioned. "Yes." she slowly answered. "You ran away last night, leaving me to handle myself." She lied. "That's quite rude." she whispered. "Kiss me." She whispered. "Make me." he rasped. "If I must, I will." she replied.
She leaned closer, pulling him down to her, lips fanning over his slowly pressing forward. Their lips molded together perfectly, his arm wrapping around her waist. He allowed her to turn him so his back was to the wall, her heeled boots allowed her to meet his height in the slightest. He pulled her into him, pressing her body closer to his, but no matter what it wasn't good enough. He wasn't close enough, their bodies weren't pressed together enough. They needed more, their hands exploring one another in ways the gods would turn their heads to disappointment. She moved away whispering his name, to which he hummed deeply. He leaned down once more kissing her once again, this time his tongue pushed past her lips and inside of the tavern of her own. A soft moan escaped her, tongue pressing into, tasting one another, slowly becoming addicted to the tastes.
Moving away once more gasping for air, tongue sneaking out tasting him on her. Her brown eyes were blown with lust, body flushed and overheated, her dress now becoming a very heavy layer of clothing. His eye searched for her own, taking in every emotion soaring through them. He could see the innocence flooding her eyes, but the want for control was also there. They both wanted control in their own ways, which is why he left her last eve. She wanted him just as he wanted her, but she wished for control, something he only wanted. He wanted full control over her, which is why he put her into a panic in the first place. But even that didn't last long, the lust and wanting pouring through her body took over.
"Aemond.." she whispered. Their lips molding together once more, each fighting for dominance. Dinner was no longer an option, the two already far too gone in each other's want and pleasure. They barely made it back to their chambers, finding themselves inside of the throne room instead. High-pitched moans and deep groans filled the hall, skin slapping skin echoed off of the walls. Taking her maidenhood marked her as his, their families would have no other options but to marry her to him.
'The green will take and take til the black submit.'
