Abyssshipping Stuff for Valentine's Day:

-Stolen glances and soft, fond smiles.

-I'd say sparring matches but I think these two have very different fighting styles-

-Settling into a house out in the middle of nowhere and having late mornings with coffee.

-Just trying to find a normal life together after their respective time as villains. Just let them be I'm begging you-

-Sharing hoodies and jackets.

-Sneaking into the city for dates.

-Villainous laughs that they haven't gotten rid of despite leaving that past behind.

-Turning to each other for comfort over nightmares and issues with their past.

The sun had just started to rise, slowly waking the small country town they’d moved to just a year prior. 

Daemon yawned, rolling his head to the side to stretch his neck while the coffee brewed. Two mugs sat on the counter beside the pot; one red and the other grey. 

A small, simple ring around his finger glimmered in the faint rays of sun peaking through the kitchen window. 

Years had gone by. A lot had changed. 

He and Cryptor…weren’t quite married; they hadn’t felt like trying to go through all the formalities and legal work. Not now anyways. 

But they wanted to be together, and had been for a long time. The rings symbolized that. 

They’d decided to move out into the country sometime after Safa finished highschool and started down her own path in life (as to not disrupt her education or social life with a big move). 

He checked in on her fairly often, still worried about leaving her back in the city by herself even after a year…

……..

The coffee pot beeped, dragging Daemon out his sleepy daze with a mumbled-hum of sorts. He reached down for the pot, holding each individual mug still as he carefully poured coffee into each. 

A few song birds had landed on a branch just outside the window, announcing their presence with a round of chirps and whistles. 

A soft smile fell upon his face, as he picked up the now-full coffee mugs and made his way towards the back porch, where Cryptor was sitting on the stairs, watching the sun rise. 

“Coffee?” He asked his partner warmly, holding his mug out in his direction. 

Cryptor turned around with a sleepy smile, taking the cup gently from Daemon’s hands. “Yes please.” 

The bizarro hummed, sitting down beside Cryptor shoulder-to-shoulder, readjusting his grip on the mug in his hands. 

Cryptor rested his head on Daemon’s shoulder, sighing. 

“It’s a nice morning..” 

“Yeah..it is.”

Dark Void/Abyss Headcanons (Cryptor x B!Cole)

- Neither usually gets much sleep so they'll often end up curled up on the couch together or sitting outside.

- Hyper vigilant because of villain past + running from the authorities/ninja

- They both have rings that've been looped onto thin necklace chains.

- They're simple in design and mean a lot to the both of them.

- Hot chocolate while sitting on the couch? Hot chocolate while sitting on the couch.

- The amount of times they've been caught smiling at each other my god-

- Name-based nicknames. "Dae" and "Cry". Nothing fancy :)

- Bonded over issues with being an ex-villain. Lots of late nights spent talking and finally feeling like someone understood before they eventually decided to try dating.

Cryptor's smile grew warm as Daemon chuckled his response. His heart thudded in his chest, but it wasn't out of panic, this time.

"So...will I see you in an hour?"

"Sure!..I-uh..I'll see you in an hour.."

"See you then..."

Cryptor trailed off, as silence settled in. An awkward hesitance, a reluctance to hang up fell between them.

.....

He chuckled, running a hand through his hair once more. "Should I hang up or.."

"I mean..I can-" Daemon cut himself off with an awkward laugh, a smile in his voice.

"Ok..Ok.." Cryptor sighed, grinning, "I'll see you soon."

"See ya soon Cry."

The phone beeped, the line finally hung up. Cryptor lowered the device, staring into the screen for only a moment before placing it in his pocket, and leaving to get ready.

Daemon found himself leaning against the outside wall of the coffee shop, absently scrolling through his phone while he waited. Every few seconds his eyes flicked from to screen to check for Cryptor.

He wasn't used to being the early one.

A few minutes passed before he spotted the retired soldier approaching from a distance, greeting him with a grin and slipping his phone into his pocket.

"Hey.."

A small smile found it's way onto Cryptor's face, as he came to a stop beside Daemon.

"Hey.."

Evil! Dark Void/Abyss

- Active enemies against the Mechanic. The second he steps onto their terf it's on sight.

- They have discussed schemes over dinner on more than one occasion.

- B!Cole absolutely adores Cry's evil n arrogant laugh

- They give me villainous elegant ball slow dancing vibes.

- Prolly met in Kryptarium and broke out together. Was supposed to be a means to an end but then they fell for eachother.

- B!Cole makes sure Cry gets to sleep at a reasonable time and Cry makes sure B!Cole rests when he's injured.

- Holding hands as they walk through whatever chaos they've created.

- Sparring? Sparring.

- Flirty grins.

- They each have a necklace with a ring they gave eachother hanging from it.

- Matching leather jackets

Typical! Dark Void/Abyss

- Dancing around a kitchen like some old couple.

- Soft, gentle smiles whenever they look at eachother

- They definitely sleep in late together. Lots of cuddles.

- That one Ruby and Sapphire moment from Steven Universe

- "Did they hurt you?" "No,no. I'm ok. Did they hurt you?" "Who cares?" "I do!"

- (Ngl that could prolly work for villain vers of this ship to-)

- Same necklace idea but it's pendants instead.

- Matching Leather jackets

- Cooking together

- Cry loves Dae's smile.

- Daemon is always there for Cry to turn to after a nightmare. Meanwhile Dae can always turn to Cryptor when he's worried about turning evil again.
