Marvin Sapp Lands 7th Soul Train Music Award Nomination!
Tumblr media
It’s beginning to look a lot like award show season, and Marvin Sapp has landed his 7th Soul Train Music Award nomination just weeks after celebrating his single “All In Your Hands” reaching the #1 position on Billboard’s Gospel Airplay Chart. He is nominated in the Best Gospel/Inspirational category.
Marvin Sapp is a two-time Soul Train Music Award winner, and remains excited anytime his name is announced as a nominee. “I love that the Soul Train Music Awards continue the great tradition of celebrating Black joy through song,” says Sapp. “It is an honor and a privilege to be among those considered to have released music this year that made people smile and gave people a sense of hope.”
2022 has marked numerous firsts for Sapp, including the first album released on his own record label, the TVONE premiere of the biopic Never Would Have Made It: The Marvin Sapp Story, and being officially crowned a “Billion Spinner” on Pandora. Still, the “preacher who happens to sing” has remained a consistent, in-person presence at The Chosen Vessel Cathedral where he is Senior Pastor. Currently celebrating three years at the Fort Worth, Texas based church, Sapp and his pastoral team recently oversaw a mass baptism of more than 100 people.
“I began pastoring at a new church in a new city just months before the height of the COVID19 pandemic. We had virtual services for almost two years, so this year has been one of renewed focus and revitalization at the Chosen Vessel Cathedral. The mass baptism was a time of refreshing for all of us.”
Sapp is nominated for his 15th album, Substance. The album debuted #1 when it was released, making it the singer’s seventh consecutive number one Gospel album debut. It also debuted #3 on the Top Christian/Gospel Albums sales chart.
Substance is available now everywhere digital music is sold.

kaeya
about us: the traveller
i must say, i was rather surprised that the traveller was the first one chosen to be a vessel — at first i had assumed it was merely because of their status as an outlander, but now…. well, last i checked, i was from teyvat.
about us: the creator
friendship lv. 4
sometimes i wonder why vessels are even utilized at all, in truth. i mean, what use does the divine have for a mortal man? i understand it’s not my place to question it, but… *sigh*
about you: worship
friendship lv. 6
thank you. truly, thank you. i’m not sure words could describe everything i feel, but… perhaps a night at the altar would suffice? please, just say the word. i will be there. for you.
thoma
about us: the traveller
the traveller? … they’ve done a lot of good for inazuma, that’s for sure, along with the other nations. i’m a bit intrigued about the teapot they always carry around, but milady says it’s some kind of important artifact… either way, i’m certainly curious!
about us: the creator
friendship lv. 4
sometimes it hits me just how lucky i was to make it to inazuma after the storm, and how easily i could have died at sea, never to be seen again… whenever that happens, i find its best not to think about it. i was blessed by the creator, and thinking over why i received it won’t get me anywhere.
about you: worship
friendship lv. 6
while i’m not sure what use my housekeeping skills would be to you, i place every other talent i have at your disposal. whether my sword or my shield, or even just to be somebody to talk to, i would happily accept any task you give me. it would be an honor to serve you.
diluc
about us: the traveller
i have little to say about the traveller that hasn’t already been said. while at first i may have thought their kindness was only wrought from the hands of a god… i can see now that i was wrong, and that is what truly matters.
about us: the creator
friendship lv. 4
when the winds blow hard around the winery and rain pelts the windows… it’s easy to forget everything good in the world. it’s easy to slip into a mindset of helplessness, when even going outside feels forbidden by nature… nonetheless, it’s important to recognize the fault in that belief. rain nourishes the earth, and wind drives windmills. even i have to remind myself of this fact on occasion.
about you: worship
friendship lv. 6
it would be a lie to say that i don’t hold any influence over mondstat, but it wouldn’t be to say that you take priority over any project i have my hands on. whether it’s in the middle of the weinlesefest, or the peak of the summer season, please never hesitate to come to me for anything. you gave me everything i have, and i’d be a fool not to try and return the offer in whatever way i can.
bonus!!
noelle
about the creator: diligence
the creator? o-of course i follow them! what gave you the impression that i didn’t? oh, am i not doing enough? i always dust the shrine at the knights’ headquarters, i say my prayers before bedtime and every meal, i never miss a service at the cathedral… tell me, what am i missing? the last thing i want is to fail at my most important task—… of course it’s most important! being a maid comes secondary to the divine, as everything else does.
candace
about the creator: deserted
it’s easy to think that the desert is neglected by the divine, but i believe the opposite is true. were we truly abandoned, we wouldn’t have the oases, nor the henna berries, nor anything else that brought life forth and helped it thrive. if you ask me, the belief that the desert was forgotten about is what drove the akademiya to such extremes… *sigh* it’s such a pity.

30th January 1965 - The funeral of Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill, KG, OM, CH, TD, PC, DL, FRS (30 November 1874 -- 24 January 1965).
Churchill's beloved country residence, Chartwell in Westerham, Kent is very close to where I live, and my grandparents were good friends with Winston and Clementine. (My own claim to fame is that I once took afternoon tea with the great man and his lady wife at Chartwell, although I was only 2 or three years old at the time.)
Churchill first met Princess Elizabeth when she was nine years old, and during his first term as Prime Minister in WWII became a close friend of her father, King George VI. Their weekly meetings often involved lunch and sometimes lasted for several hours.
When Princess Elizabeth became Queen during Churchill's second term as Prime Minister in 1952, he was able to offer the new Monarch support and advice, both "professionally", and at a personal level.
On the day of Churchill's funeral, The Queen broke with royal etiquette by being one of the first to arrive at St Paul's Cathedral. This day was to honour to Sir Winston Churchill.
Following the service at at Paul's Cathedral, Churchill's coffin was carried by a bearer party from the Grenadier Guards to the Tower of London. This procession took 18 minutes, and is the longest distance a coffin had been carried by pallbearers at any state funeral.
From Tower Pier, Churchill's coffin was transported along the Thames to Festival Pier on the South Bank by MV Havengore. As the boat set-sail, 16 RAF English Electric Lightning jets flew over in formation. As the vessel proceeded along the river, 36 dock workers at Hay's Wharf lowered the jibs of their cranes in an unplanned, and unrehearsed mark of respect. Churchill's grandson, Nicholas Soames later said that this unexpected tribute, "undid us all!"
From Festival Pier, Churchill's coffin was transported to Waterloo Station and loaded onto a train to take him to his final resting place in Oxfordshire.
Why Waterloo? There is no direct railway link to Oxford! Waterloo Station was chosen by Sir Winston as the departure point for his funeral train. He knew that General de Gaulle, his French wartime ally would be present. Although Winston and Charles de Gaulle were friends, there was always a rivalry between the pair harking back to the historic conflicts between England and France. Churchill chose Waterloo as a final V-sign to his French friend!
Churchill's original funeral wish was to be cremated, and for his ashes to be buried under the croquet lawn at Chartwell. A couple of years before he died, Winston visited his father's grave at Bladon, in sight of his ancestral home of Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire. He reportedly tapped the ground with his walking cane and said, "This is my place... Right here!" And that is where the great English gentleman rests today.
Music: "Thaxted" (Jupiter from The planets Suite) composed by Gustav Holst.

Note
Are you giving me spiritual advice or trying to tempt me? I'm joking, of course, but... I don't know. This does feel like both a gift and a curse. Everything has felt off since then. Food may as well turn to ash in my mouth, things that would normally bring joy feel worthless. Only basking in His light do I feel something again. They didn't really teach about this in the seminary.
I'm curious, then, to know what you have in mind... Would you like to take a walk with me, actually? Maybe we can talk from one father to another, I fear I'm growing a little restless.
[Thecuntfessional]
Of course; behind the chapel is one of the old monastery vineyards. It’s a beautiful, solitary place. We’ll be able to be alone and out of the…pressures of the confessional.
It is hard to return to mundane reality after knowing firsthand with your body and soul the nature of God. Most of our kind aren’t fortunate enough to receive such a privilege, and those who have tend to keep it secret. However, I have seen an exorcism with my own eyes, and I can say that this is not possession. The woman I helped exorcise…I can smell the burning sulfur even now.
There are two ways I have seen those who have been touched by God in such a way continue. Some, like Saint Julian, follow complete asceticism and deny the body entirely, allowing it to wither in exchange for the spiritual gifts that life brings. The other path is one of embracing the body as a vessel, taking in all sublime physical pleasures, including pain, that God has created for us.
To be stuck in the middle is surely quite unsatisfying. It is a temperate path, yes, but you have been chosen for something beautiful.
( I walk along closer to your side, my hand always just the slightest bit away from an ‘accidental’ touch. )
I would be honored to show you the path I have taken.
( I stop walking along past the rows of vines and loosely grab your waist with one hand, fingers stretching down. Now, I stand close enough to whisper. )
Follow me to the rectory, if you want. I can fill your throat the same way.
( My lips curl up into a sly smile. I continue down the end of vineyard path, at the end of which, just a few moments’ walk away, is a small section of the cathedral only visible from the back. )

SAINT ATHANASIUS ( 373)AND CYRIL, ARCHBISHOPS OF ALEXANDRIA ( 444)
Tumblr media
Saints Athanasius and Cyril were Archbishops of Alexandria. These wise teachers of truth and defenders of Christ’s Church share a joint Feast in recognition of their dogmatic writings which affirm the truth of the Orthodox Faith, correctly interpret the Holy Scripture, and censure the delusions of the heretics.
Saint Athanasius took part in the First Ecumenical Council when he was still a deacon. He surpassed everyone there in his zeal to uphold the teaching that Christ is consubstantial (homoousios) with the Father, and not merely a creature, as the Arians proclaimed.
This radiant beacon of Orthodoxy spent most of his life in exile from his See, because of the plotting of his enemies. He returned to his flock as he was approaching the end of his life. Like an evening star, he illumined the Orthodox faithful with his words for a little while, then reposed in 373. He is also commemorated on May 2 (the transfer of his holy relics).
VENERABLE SCHEMAMONK CYRIL AND VENERABLE SCHEMANUN MARIA (1337)
Tumblr media
Saint Cyril and his wife Maria were the parents of Saint Sergius of Radonezh (September 25). They belonged to the nobility, but more importantly, they were pious and faithful Christians who were adorned with every virtue.
People were astonished when the child in Maria’s womb cried out three times in church during the Divine Liturgy; before the reading of the Holy Gospel, during the Cherubic hymn, and when the priest said: “Holy Things are for the Holy.” Although she was frightened at first, Maria came to see this event as a sign from God that her child would become a chosen vessel of divine grace. She and her husband agreed that if the child was a boy, they would bring him to church and dedicate him to God. This child, the second of their three sons, was born around 1314, and was named Bartholomew in Holy Baptism.
Because of civil strife, Saint Cyril moved his family from Rostov to Radonezh when Bartholomew was still a boy.
Later, when their son expressed his desire to enter the monastic life, his parents asked him to wait and take care of them until they passed away, because his brothers Stephen and Peter were both married and had their own family responsibilities. The young Bartholomew obeyed his parents, and did everything he could to please them. Later they decided to retire to separate monasteries, and departed to the Lord after a few years. It is believed that Saints Cyril and Maria reposed in 1337.
Forty days after burying his parents, Bartholomew settled their estate, giving his share to his brother Peter. Then he went to the monastery at the age of twenty-three, and was tonsured on October 7 with the name Sergius (in honor of the martyr Saint Sergius, who is commemorated on that day). As everyone knows, Saint Sergius of Radonezh became one of Russia’s greatest and most revered saints.
The Chronicle of the Khot'kov Protection Monastery relates how people were healed of their ailments after praying to the Venerable Sergius and his parents. The relics of Schema-monk Cyril and Schema-nun Maria remained in the monastery's Protection Cathedral, even after its numerous reconstructions. As early as the XIV century, Saint Sergius's parents were depicted with haloes. Because Saint Sergius prayed for the repose of his parents at their grave before entering the monastery, pilgrims, on their way to Holy Trinity Lavra, had the custom of visiting Khot'kov Monastery first, in order to pray for his parents.
In the XIX century, the veneration of Schema-monk Cyril and Schema-nun Maria spread throughout Russia, as evidenced by the Menologia of that time. Unfortunately, after 1917, the Khot'kov Monastery was destroyed. Finally, in July of 1981, the Feast of the Synaxis of the Saints of Radonezh was established, and Schema-monk Cyril and Schema-nun Maria were glorified for local veneration. In 1989, the monastery's Protection Cathedral was returned to the Russian Orthodox Church. Services resumed once again, and the relics of the righteous parents of Saint Sergius were transferred there.
Saints Cyril and Maria were glorified for universal veneration by the Orthodox Church of Russia in 1992. They are also commemorated on January 18 (Saint Cyril's Name Day), on June 5 (Synaxis of the Saints of Rostov & Yaroslavl), on July 6 (Synaxis of the Saints of Radonezh), and on the Thursday following the Sunday of the Publican and the Pharisee.

MATTHEW 5:14-19
14 You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. 17 Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. 18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. 19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
HEBREWS 13:7-16
7Remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of God to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of their conduct. 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. 9 Do not be carried about with various and strange doctrines. For it is good that the heart be established by grace, not with foods which have not profited those who have been occupied with them. 10 We have an altar from which those who serve the tabernacle have no right to eat. 11 For the bodies of those animals, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned outside the camp. 12 Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate. 13 Therefore let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing His reproach. 14 For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come. 15 Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. 16 But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

In the year 2424, the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Amalfi-Cava de' Tirreni ventured into an unprecedented mission. As the Earth's resources dwindled and faith sought new horizons, the Archdiocese sponsored an exploratory mission into the unknown reaches of space to find a new sanctuary for spirituality and life.
Commander Angelica Sorrento, a descendant of the ancient coastal city's inhabitants and a devout believer, was chosen to lead the spacecraft Sancta Maria ad Stella. Her vessel, a marvel of technology and faith, carried the essence of the Archdiocese's values, equipped with chapels and state-of-the-art living quarters for the crew, who were all ready to live out their monastic vows in the void between stars.
As they approached the rim of the Heliosphere, the boundary of the solar influence, Angelica felt the weight of her heritage and her mission. She reclined in her pilot chamber, a sleek suit encapsulating her body, ensuring her safety and connection to the ship's systems. The walls around her glowed with soft blue light, a reflection of the virgin mother's color, symbolizing protection and tranquility.
Amidst the silent hum of the engines and the soft chanting that resonated through the ship's intercom, Angelica's mind drifted to the history of Amalfi, a place that had once been a maritime power, its ships sailing across the known world. Now, she thought, the sea was not of water but of stars, and her ship sailed not for trade, but for salvation.
The Sancta Maria ad Stella soon encountered an anomaly, a rift in space that seemed to beckon them with an ethereal glow. Angelica's faith told her this was a divine sign, a guiding star much like the one that had led the wise men to Bethlehem. She directed the ship into the rift, and the world outside transformed into a kaleidoscope of celestial beauty.
They emerged in a system where the stars formed a natural cathedral in space, the light casting ethereal shadows and illuminating what seemed to be a habitable planet. Angelica named it Nova Amalfi. As they descended, the sight of the verdant planet filled them with hope.
The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Amalfi-Cava de' Tirreni established its new diocese on Nova Amalfi, a place where faith and future met, a testament to their enduring spirit. Angelica Sorrento became its first bishop, her name forever etched in the annals of the new world as the pioneer of interstellar spirituality, ensuring that the values and traditions of her ancient Earthly home would thrive amongst the stars for millennia to come.

Terravenger Season 6 - The Reunion Arc - Episode 506 (Do Not Copy) - 01.26.2024
The two people -- Sirene and Sidney -- watched as a controlled Cama faced them in the dark hallway.
Cama replied "You Erich Sidney. You have died in the near past. But you will die along with this young vessel, Black Queen."
    "Ya bastard!" called Sirene.
And the possessed Cama told her "You would have been a great addition to our family. But you... You have chosen to end your life. Neither of you who remain in this sanctuary will live to see the world I will create."
"What is he saying?" questioned Sidney.
The body of Cama Veil finally fell to his knees as Sidney hurried to him.
Sidney asked "What does he mean by that?"
The emotionless Sirene looked around as she informed her friend "I think we in trouble."
Terravenger -- Season 6
Episode 506:  Reunion -- Great Illumination
Inside the old cathedral somewhere on Planet Terravenger, the wicked Mephistopheles stood at the center of the room as his servant called Mother Blight remained at the two doors at the other side.
As his eyes closed, Mephistopheles rose his head and his hands.
He chanted "The castle deep in the Golden Islands has been sacred to me for a long time. I have no choice to destroy it due to those who throw blasphemy."
The color of the sky above the large fortress somewhere on the Golden Islands suddenly changed to a green tint. Black clouds began covering the altered sky. A pair of large eyes had formed from the clouds. And the eyes were both colored green with white pupils.
The team led by Sarah Granger hurried to the large windows of the castle's throne room. And they all spotted the large eyes in the sky.
    "What the hell?" asked Naigahata.
The dark clouds continued to gather above the top of the castle as the voice of Mephistopheles said "From this moment on, my sanctuary hidden deep in the Golden Islands is no more."
Next, large rays made of the green light began shooting every part of the old castle from within the black clouds. Meanwhile, the large eyes of the wicked Mephistopheles remained in the clouded sky. The shooting lights continued until there was a large explosion. And the eyes above faded away as the true color of the sky returned.
In the old cathedral at another part of Planet Terravenger, the emotionless Mephistopheles opened his eyes. And he gave a wicked grin.
At the further part of the other location's ruins, a large barrier of pink water dropped into the ground which secured Sirene and her entire team.
Kyle Troi claimed "I am so glad we came just in time."
After that worried Sidney unwrapped his arms from him, the careful Cama rose from the ground and spotted their savior who stood in front of everyone.
Cama asked "Who the hell are you?"
Once he walked a few steps forward, Cama stared at the individual once again. But awe came from his whole face. And the individual faced the shaken commander.
This was an older man with great skin and short dark-gray hair. And his eyes were both covered in darkness. He wore a light-gray suit with long sleeves and long leggings. A fine collar was around the neck area as well. He had a black band around each wrist with a long silver pad covering the front. He also wore a golden pad around his knees and ankles. He had a thick silver belt with a silver buckle. And he wore short black boots along with a dark-brown glove covering each hand.
The elder Sidney gave a relieved smile as Cama continued staring at the newcomer.
Then the newcomer gave out a soft smile as the shocked Cama cried "You're..."
The man asked "Dad? Who's the kid?"
Tears soon fell from his eyes as Cama walked closer to the mysterious man.
"You're..." implied Cama. "You're known as the Faceless Sidney?"
The man shook his head and answered "Yes, I am."
He soon stared straight into the teary eyes of an emotional Cama.
"Wait!" cried the man. "Are you..."
"Cama," replied Sidney. "This is indeed the Man of Many Faces. He is one of my oldest children. This is..."
    "Ethan Sidney," named Cama.
The man gave another smile and implied "You... You remind me of her."
"You mean my mom?" claimed Cama.
Rain Thomas walked toward Sidney and asked "General Sidney? Is that actually Ethan?"
Sidney shook his head and answered "Yes, Officer Granger. That is in fact Ethan, Cama's father."
Ethan stared at Cama once again and implied "You look a lot like me though. And my dad did tell me that you have many of our characteristics. You are indeed a Sidney."
He placed his right hand on Cama's left shoulder and added "And you are definitely my son."
The pair finally faced each other with a caring smile.
Rain soon presented herself to the team's captain.
"You must be who these people work for," She implied. "The woman here told me that you had questions for me."
Sirene placed her left fist before her head and pointed her finger to the air.
"You'll answer da questions alright," Sirene informed her. "But they're not gonna come from me."
"Hold on a moment," cried Troi. "I thought you had questions for the soldier about the disappearance of solders from all over Terravenger."
Then Naigahata asked "We rescued these two for nothing?"
Sirene placed her right hand on her waist and informed the group "Da Raven reached out to me after I brought Sidney back. He went on and told me about important people goin' missin'."
    "So?" cried Troi.
And Sirene answered "So, I took da case. I was da only one dat could pull dis off wit' you guys. Da next part of da mission's bringin' ya back to Midas, Officer Thomas."
Granger smiled as she shook her head.
The blue-haired woman soon commented "I should have know you and Beau were working together this entire time."
Sirene replied "I owed da Raven a favor. Thomas's gonna help Midas make a case dat'll stick against New Beginnin's."
"New Beginnings?" questioned Cama. "You're talking about that organization?"
"That makes sense," implied Sidney. "New Beginnings. They were around after my dad defeated the Bringer back then."
Ethan asked "This company? Are they a front for the Agents of Light?"
"Yep," answered Sirene. "And we gotta get Thomas back to Midas fast. Thomas'll fill in da blanks. Den da nations are gonna figure out a plan to take action."
Rain shook her head and told the captain "I'll do what I can to help bring those people down."
Sirene gave a strong grin and said "Let's move."

wip wednesday yippee (WIPpee?)
okay this isn't oc/bg3 stuff like i maybe wanted to but its my person project and i just :) like them and want to share them. i am trying to be More Annoying about my OCs so that maybe i will be feel better about myself.
this is the prologue of my novel in progress.... obviously put it below the cut bc its long.
here is my special girl(tm) cami. imagine if you are god. but also god is right there in front of you. but also you are going to replace him. just the worst gifted kid syndrome you could possible imagine
Prologue
It was a simple fact that Cami told herself every morning: she knew what it meant when you were told to worship. The steps were simple, carved into her bones at this point, weaved into the lace of her dress. She could recite her prayers and sing along to a thousand different hymnals at this point. Every day of her life, she had paid homage to power greater than her. Every day of her life, she was reminded that she was a vessel of something greater. It was, undeniable then, that she also understood what it meant to be worshiped. After all, she was no ordinary member of their clergy. She had been trained for a greater purpose, born for a greater purpose than any of those around her truly understood. For better or for worse, she was everything their people needed-- the next in line for leadership, the golden child, the focus of their idolatry and the embodiment of their hope for the future.
In this moment, she was kneeling at the altar, staring up at the eye of their god, and it was alive. Which was particularly upsetting, for a girl of twelve, who had been told her whole life that the aforementioned god was dead, missing, or some combination of both.
Those around her were singing in well-practiced harmony, their voices echoing around the chambers of the Grand Cathedral in a great and lovely cacophony. Even as she sang along with them, she could feel their eyes on the back of her head, tracing the line of the softly glowing halo around her head, the perfect ringlets of her golden hair that Isadora had spent hours curling this morning, the silk of her new dress. There were a hundred pairs of eyes on her at any given moment, stripping her bare with their simultaneous judgment and reverence. She kept her eyes forward. She could bear the weight of their gazes. She had for this long, and she would do it forever if that was what it took to earn their devotion. She was special, just like the Herald said. She could do everything they could do and more. She was given the best meals, the finest dresses, all deserved and all in thanks for the burden of being the one to bring their god home to them. He was waiting, biding his time, and Cami would spring him from his proverbial, or perhaps literal) prison, and they would all be grateful for it. If she had to be a girl of twelve with only one friend, a girl of twelve with a thousand secrets spilling out of her head, a girl of twelve with the weight of heaven upon her back, so be it.
The first time he spoke to her, she had been eight or nine, no more than a babe in the eyes of those around her, but chosen all the same. No one would believe her then, so she had kept her mouth shut. They would have said the Herald was playing favorites, that she was exaggerating and desperate to be the best and brightest of The Herald’s pupils. Even if she was the brightest, which was without a doubt was, it wasn’t their concern. Nothing spread quicker than gossip through the congregation. So she had kept silent. Truthfully, she had thought for the longest time that someone was fooling with her. Mindspeak was forbidden during service. Everything must be laid bare, The Herald always said, we must hide nothing from our god.
What if your god was what you were hiding?
Her knees were beginning to ache now, the hard marble of the kneeling bench digging into the delicate flesh of her knees. She shifted ever so slightly, a practiced motion since girlhood, though she was not much past that. When no tap to her shoulder or swat to the back of her head came, though, she breathed a sigh of relief as the pressure on her legs lifted ever so slightly. She repeated the correct Verses along with the rest of the crowd from her position beside the Herald, eyes closed and breath shallow. As she pretended not to feel the source of her discomfort looming over her left side, Cami felt the voice of her god creep into her mind.
He never truly spoke, but his messages usually consisted of one of three things: distorted images of forests and other places on the ground that she had never been to, so bright and luscious she was sure they were not real and instead a depiction of paradise. They certainly were nothing like the rigid and organized gardens of her home, where plucked-bare trees grew in straight rows, twisted into great statues by Haven’s many talented gardeners. Sometimes he sent pictures of people, though they were not like her. They were ugly, somewhere between man and beast, with scaly faces and sharp, fin-like ears. Sometimes there were no images, only a strange sense of longing that grew to a pounding headache behind her eyes. She pondered often if perhaps he was speaking some sort of language, and she just had yet to learn it. She had scoured all of the books on the Old Tongue in the library and found nothing that stood out to her.
This time, the picture was of a babe-- it’s round, chubby cheeks pinched and probed by a bodiless hand. She tried to decipher the message but came up with nothing beyond a foreign warmth filling her cold body. She turned the image over and over in her head, trying to piece it together with the other things he had sent her previously.
Are you lonely? Cami sent back to the great shape in front of her-- an ovular shadow blocking out the light from the chandeliers floating above them, the size of man but nothing like one. I’m here. If it is a child you need, I will be so. She figured he must be, after all, what good was a language when no one else could speak it? What good was a family that worshiped and loved you if you could not speak to them? She would be lonely too, if she had no one to talk to. At least she had Isadora to accompany her wherever she went, even if her lady’s maid was forced to be her friend. I’m here, she promised, I’m not going anywhere.
She cracked open her right eye, the one out of view of the Herald, so slowly she was sure no one would notice, glancing to the center of the altar. She repeated her words, sending them floating through the air to him, looking towards the dead-and-missing-god, hoping he could hear. She imagined them piercing the shining surface of his cage, embedding themselves like the arrows the guards fired at their training dummies in the courtyard below her window. She would stare at them for hours, watching and wondering if they knew. If they understood– their god was right here with them–why wasn’t anyone else listening? Perhaps no one else was worthy after all, just as the Herald said. He never lied, even if it was hurtful. It was bad to lie to your family. Every lie was a stone in hand, and eventually they would send you toppling over the edge and falling down to the ground below.
But she was strong. She would bear this burden, the heaviest rock she had carried. If no one else was worthy, then she must be. For her mentor beside her, for the crowd behind her, and for the source of their faith before her. As service ended and they bowed their heads for a final time, the Herald took her hand, cold palm in cold palm, and guided her out of the Grand Cathedral and back towards home. She sent a final, hurried thought back towards their missing-dead god, a quiet reminder, a ritual all her own. It was the same two reminders each time, a desperate attempt to pierce whatever barrier was holding him, and so he might not forget: I hear you. I love you.

Umbilical cord blood and tissue collection in St-Paul MinnesotaUmbilical cord blood and tissue in St-Paul Minnesota are collected immediately after birth via a non-invasive and pain-free procedure. The umbilical cord is clamped and cut as usual, but instead of discarding the placenta and umbilical cord, they are collected by a trained healthcare professional. The blood is extracted from the cord using a sterile needle and collected into a specialized bag with anticoagulants to prevent clotting. The tissue is collected by cutting a small piece of the cord and placing it into a sterile container. Both cord blood and tissue are then transported to a laboratory for processing and storage. This procedure is a safe and effective way to collect valuable stem cells that can be used for future medical treatment

Marvin Sapp Lands Seventh Soul Train Music Award Nomination
Tumblr media
It’s beginning to look a lot like award show season, and Marvin Sapp has landed his 7th Soul Train Music Award nomination just weeks after celebrating his single “All In Your Hands” reaching the #1 position on Billboard’s Gospel Airplay Chart. He is nominated in the Best Gospel/Inspirational category. 6Marvin Sapp is a two-time Soul Train Music Award winner, and remains excited anytime his name is announced as a nominee. “I love that the Soul Train Music Awards continue the great tradition of celebrating Black joy through song,” says Sapp. “It is an honor and a privilege to be among those considered to have released music this year that made people smile and gave people a sense of hope.” 2022 has marked numerous firsts for Sapp, including the first album released on his own record label, the TVONE premiere of the biopic Never Would Have Made It: The Marvin Sapp Story, and being officially crowned a “Billion Spinner” on Pandora. The mass baptism was a time of refreshing for all of us.” Sapp is nominated for his 15th album, Substance. The album debuted #1 when it was released, making it the singer’s seventh consecutive number one Gospel album debut. It also debuted #3 on the Top Christian/Gospel Albums sales chart.  Substance is available now everywhere digital music is sold. https://open.spotify.com/album/3eDMY9RySuq97wflZUQ9XF?si=wDCk1tT7SeKPweihNYoiAQ Read the full article

Heist: The Vault of Von-Straussgard
There she is friend, the flagship of the imperial airfleet, greatest in guns and glory if not in girth and raw tonnage. Named after the daft bastard who proved once and for all that the only true genius of empire was being able to outspend your opponent.
Once we crack her, we’ll be spending too: enough to buy our own little empire, and maybe a pretty ship for each of us, eh?
Setup: One of the grandest ships ever designed, the Von-Straussgard was built to show the might and resources of the empire, a flying cathedral to the power of the sovereign dynasty. In this time of peace, the great airship mainly takes on diplomatic missions, visiting the empire’s client states as a mobile consulate, returning home as a one-ship treasure fleet, its hold stuffed to bursting with tribute.
No thief in their right mind would ever dare attempt to break the Von-Straussgard, which is exactly the reason it serves as such an excellent “Heisting-the-crown-jewels” capstone for a party of master criminals. The Sheer hubris of breaking into a floating fortress, garrisoned by the most loyal of the empire’s troops, with nothing but empty air to cover your getaway? It simply can’t be topped.
Adventure Hooks:
Provided one could simply walk past all the defenses, they’d have their pick of prizes within the Airship’s many vaults. The wealth of client nations, prototype weapons  a fortune in art and embellishment made to decorate the Von-Straussgard, but the greatest of all these treasures is a gemstone kept in the most defended part of the airship. Known as Urania’s Insight, this diamondlike jewel is said to refract possible futures within its infinitely shifting lattice, giving the bearer the ability to see the outcome of their decisions decisions days or weeks ahead of time. It is the gift of prophecy given form, trapped in frozen starlight like a bubble in amber, and there is no empire across the multiverse, and there is no empire or despot that would not beggar themselves to possess it.
Infultrating a swanky diplomatic gala held onboard could provide the party with a means of ingress, but that would require them to pass unoticed among a who’s who of dignitaries, political power players, and the empire’s very best spies. Can the party continue their heist even when one of the high profile guest is found dead half way through, and the ship is put on lockdown? How about when one of the world’s greatest detectives arrives on the scene, and starts sniffing out clues left and right? Do the party abandon ship? Go on with their plan? Come forward with what they know of what’s taken place in order to help prevent a war?
Shipwright Vanessa Awller has lost her mother, which is to say: her mother was taken from her and is now a prisoner of the empire. Ms. Awller’s mother was a shipwright herself, best of her age, and was chosen from among many to design and oversee construction of the Von-Straussgard back when Vanessa was a girl. When the ship was completed, the workcrews were disappeared, and Vanessa’s mother was thrown into a cell within her own airship, her knowledge of the vessel’s structure and capabilities deemed too much of a security risk to ever let her breathe free air again. In the thirty years since, Vanessa has honed her grudges to a razor’s edge, becoming an accomplished shipwright herself, and running off with secret copies of the great ship’s plans. Now keeping company with mercenaries and sky pirates, she seeks a crew valiant and foolish enough to help her with her rescue mission, their services paid for with schematics of the Von-Straussgard’s vaults and internal layout.
Challenges & Complications:
Elevation: The thing that sets the Von-Straussgard above other treasure troves is that it is literally ABOVE most others. Its an airship, one that has never actually touched the ground since its creation. All maintenance is done by floating materials up in the company of workroom-barges, and the great ship generally only makes harbor when in the midst of a diplomatic mission or needing repairs after a large battle. A heist will require the party to obtain their own airship, or arrange some very precise teleportation
Might of Empire: Patrol ships in escort, an enormous crew of highly trained/ vetted/ veteran sailors, a full garrison of the imperial crown-guard stationed aboard to protect dignitaries and treasures alike. The party will need to find their way past all of these if they wish to reap the Von-Strassgard’s treasures for their own.
Where’s Waldo?: The Greatest treasures carried aboard the ship are contained within a magically warded vault behind a portrait of the ship’s namesake: Duke Waldo Von-Straussgard. The problem being that this portrait does not have a fixed location, and seamlessly moves between whichever of the grand rooms the captain last occupied. This enchantment, known as “Waldo’s Pocket” by those officers who know of its function means that gaining access to this secret door requires either incapacitating and hiding the most sought after and important individual on the vessel, or somehow distracting the captain in such a way that they wouldn’t notice the opening of a several ton mechanical door that they’ve been sworn to protect.
Background: Two hundred years ago you’d never have expected a man like Duke Waldo Von Straussgard to have come to much during his time serving the crown. Despite being afforded every privilege a life of high nobility could buy, Waldo was famously bad with money, squandering fortunes on frivolities, parties, and ill fated schemes. Duke Waldo was the spigot through which the wealth of the high-feudal system flowed, which meant he spent more on breakfast spreads each day than most families would ever see in their lifetimes, despite only eating a bite or two of it at a time.
When war broke out, Straussgard was strongarmed into helping fund the army, but his constant desire for novelty wreaked havoc on the war effort’s logistics, with everything from the uniforms to the ordinance to the battleflag being in a constant sate of revision. Eventually, Von Straussgard’s expenditure actually managed to have some tactical application, as on his whim he bankrolled the development of some aerial combat platforms ( hot air balloons with cannons on them) that implausibly proved useful in their first deployment. This was the first time that airpower had been truly useful in the grand game of continental warfare, and Waldo was hailed as a genius. After the war, he was given military honors and put in charge of developing more flying weapons, a task he took to with relish as his infinite funds, whimsical nature, and inherent belief in his own glorious destiny was an exact fit for the “throw it at the wall and see what sticks” nature of early aeronautics. By the end of his life, Von Straussgard had the kingdom’s first practical airship designs ready for service, an act which canonized him as one of the sainted men who paved the way for the empire’s expansion.

in sorrow’s embrace, upon the bathroom floor i rest; as water softly runs down the drain. numbly staring into the ceiling with my heart shattering a thousand times asking me the same question violently. feeling like a stranger to my own fragile body, as if i was brutally forcefully alienated from my precious flesh vessel. forsaken my ancient forbidden cathedral for so called love. a false hope. I’ve never allowed any organism in, I’ve built my walls so high and secured the gates with deadbolts. the first mere mortal I’ve let in after years of devotion to protect it and keeping it sacred had chosen to destruct it, rip off the essence of my being brutally, spitefully. desecrating all the innocence and pureness remorselessly. committing the most dreadful atrocities, distorting not only the insides but the sacred meadows. darkness prevails, a grisly sight. appalled that I’ve let such an odious vicious revolting brute in.. to be seized by a coup de main. leaving me in utter bewilderment, too ashamed to look at my own reflection. a peculiar symphony of melancholy was stealing over me as dim thoughts of death began to unravel. an idea that i was slowly sinking into the unfathomable voids took gentle, every morsel of flesh in my bones shrank as i forcefully digest the fact that you abandoned me. misery shall forever be upon you for the rest of eternity, i wish you a life full of misery and never ending damage. and that everything that’s precious to you shall be mercilessly taken away from you and to feel my pain throughout your whole life and in everyone that’s precious to you. you shall reap all what you sow and shall never be forgiven. no plea that you emit shall be heard, the hymns of seraphic annihilation shall play and carry my soul to eternal serenity and salvation as it carry yours to eternal carnage of damnation.

Magnificent Scoundrels- Battle Above the Citadel
While the battle on the ground rages on, the battle in space is a bit more... lopsided.  This me giving you the contents of a space battle and how the different factions operate.  Hope you like it.
“There is nothing as beautiful and deadly as a battleship’s broadside.”
Aboard the Chimaera
Captain Faro paced on the sleek black deck of the Chimaera’s bridge.  Her gloved hands clasped neatly behind her back, green uniform immaculately pressed, and brown hair pulled back into a neat ponytail, she was every inch the model Imperial Navy officer, inside and outside.  Grand Admiral Thrawn had personally chosen her to command his ship after his elevation to the rank of Admiral, and she had not let him down once.  Today would be no exception.
The chatter of various deck officers, stationed below her, reached her ears.  The attacking fleet was within range.  She allowed herself a small smile.  Good.
“TIEs are to retain holding patterns around the fleet.  I do not want them out there unsupported,” she said.  The TIE Wing Commander nodded his ascent.
“Yes, Captain,” he replied.  She turned to the other divot in the command deck where additional officers were stationed.
“Gunnery Officer?”
“Yes, Captain?”
“Are the main batteries in range,” she asked.  Of course, she already knew the answer.
“Yes, Captain,” saluted the Gunnery Officer.  She gave a slight nod.
“You may fire when ready.”  Nothing more was needed from her.  Both she and Thrawn ran a tight ship.  The comms chatter of the gunnery officers and mates reached her ears.
“Main batteries in range,” reported the Gunnery Chief of the four massive starboard turbo-laser batteries.
“You may fire when ready,” replied the Gunnery Officer.
“Secondary batteries in range,” reported a Gunnery Mate.
“You may fire when ready.”  Not a single ounce of emotion in the Gunnery Officer’s voice.  Faro nodded her approval.
“Tertiary batteries in range.”
“Hold fire until you reach optimal range.”
“Point defense batteries out of range.”  No surprise there.  Not a single ship of the attack fleet seemed to want to close distance with the three massive Star Destroyers.  Pity, actually.  Then again, no sane commander of a capital ship would ever want to go broadside to broadside with an Imperial Star Destroyer…  Faro was snapped out of her tangent by the voice of the Gunnery Chief over the comms.
“Starboard turbo-lasers: commence firing.  Target: frigate-class ship designate target delta five-zero-oh.”
The four massive turrets rotated slightly in their stations, locking on to a pitifully small ship in the distance.  Captain Faro felt her pulse rise slightly.  There was nothing, nothing, that could compare to the full might of a Destroyer’s guns tearing into enemies.
With a suddenness that astounded, the turbo-lasers spat green bolts of death into the void.  The four gun barrels of each turret fired only once, as the bolts travelled with a speed that astounded to their targets.  They passed through the frigate’s shields as if they did not exist, straight through the ship’s sturdy armor plating, and blew it apart.  There was no need for a second volley.  The frigate ceased to exist with only one.
Faro sighed to herself.  This was unbecoming of a Destroyer Captain of her stature.  Swatting flies with guns powerful enough to melt moons.  Ridiculous.  Still, it was what Grand Admiral Thrawn commanded, and so it was done without question or hesitation.
Aboard the Enterprise
Spock watched with fascination as the combined fleets of the various governments present at the Citadel engaged the enemy.  It was… ridiculously easy, to put it bluntly.  This mass of disorganized attackers in all sorts of mis-matched ships were no contest for the pride of at least fifteen galaxy-spanning navies.  He only gave the occasional command to the bridge crew.  They did their jobs well; not much need for direction.  What he was interested in was how each of the different navies fought and how their starships worked.
He saw the Normandy zip through space with all the elegance of a fighter craft.  Sleek and elegant, it fired a twin pair of cannons mounted beneath the hull, promptly vaporizing an attacking ship.  The navies of the Citadel races kept their distance, using tactics similar to Starfleet ones.  Spock nodded his silent approval.  The weapons from this galaxy were all railgun types, if, of course, a railgun could ever describe something as sophisticated and powerful as an Element Zero mass-driven weapon.  From what Spock understood, they used this Element Zero to propel small particles at astounding speeds, quite similar in theory as a railgun.  Their ships, thus, used massive kinetic barrier shields, designed to stop physical projectiles.
That particular type of shielding came at a massive disadvantage when facing the heavy laser batteries of Imperial and New Republic ships, though.  The weapons from that particular galaxy all used ionized gasses to create powerful lasers, which completely ignored physical shields.  Spock winced as the main batteries of the Chimaera fired, promptly vaporizing a fair sized attacking starship.  The two were distinctly different, he mused, with one using all physical weapons and the other using only energy weapons.  The shields of the vessels from that galaxy were only designed to stop energy weapons, something that came back to bite them when the heavy guns of one of the larger attacking ships scoured twin holes in the flank of a Destroyer.  Didn’t put it out of commission, though.  You’d need a lot more firepower to do that.
The starships of the UNSC, Galactic Assembly and the singular Apocalypse seemed to operate on very similar principles.  They had physical shields, and the ships from both galaxies used long range rail- and coil-guns in tandem with heavy missile batteries.  Not quite as effective as the massive turbo-lasers at blowing the hell out of genetically-shielded starships, but it worked.
Then, of course, there was the Watch Eternal.  Unlike the sleek and lighting-quick ships of the Citadel, or the technological masterworks of the Starfleet, or the heavy energy weapons of the New Republic or the Galactic Empire, or, even, the balanced yet deadly payloads of the UNSC, GA, or Merchant's Guild, the massive, cathedral-like behemoth operated on one principle, and one principle only: sheer, unaldurated power.  There were no quirks, no tactics, no maneuverability, only power on a level that simply astounded the Enterprise’s First Officer.  He had watched all the different ships of the allied fleets, taking readings from all of them and observing what they could do.  When the Eternal had raised shields, several of the bridge crews’ mouths had dropped open.  The wattage that had gone into those shields was more than some of the Starfleet ships could get from their reactors, period.  The shields themselves were not sleek, or designed to hug every curve of the ship.  Instead, they were a massive bubble of energy, projected into the space around the ship, designed to deflect physical projectiles, energy projectiles, and enemy sensor readings alike.  Spock looked over at the belfries and massive Aquilia statues with distaste.  He did not like the ship, nor the government it was in service to, but he could not deny it was, in a brutish, barbarian way, very deadly.
Aboard the Watch Eternal
Captain Striecher sat on his command throne, as he had every day for the past five decades.  His physical body had almost wasted away, only surviving through the nutrients he took in from the tubes connecting him to the ship.  His physical body, however, did not matter.  His mind could see every system, every weapon, every inch of the mighty starship’s systems and control them with merely a thought.  He was in his element.
Void shields online.  Long range macro-cannons online and operating at full capacity.  Point defense macro-cannons online and operating at full capacity.  Starboard broadside lance batteries online and fully operational.  Port broadside lance batteries online and fully operational.  Forward heavy lances online and fully operational.  Torpedoes loaded.  Heavy missile batteries online, loaded, and locked onto targets.  Underside macro-cannons, torpedo tubes, and lance batteries online and ready for orbital bombardment.  He took in all of this at once, and discarded it.  The Inquisitors wanted something more than the simple destruction of the attacking fleet.  They wanted information.
Striecher mentally activated the multi-faction comms channel that the Scoundrels were oh-so helpful to set up.
“All ships, this is the Watch Eternal.  Do not fire upon the flagship of the attacking fleet.  That one is ours,” he commanded.  His voice was the one part of his body that he did not allow to wither.  He still needed it.  A chorus of acknowledgements came through the channel, some rather confused.  It didn’t matter.  No one would fire on the cruiser that served as the attacking fleet’s flagship.
Deep in the bowels of the massive ship, Watch Captain Kaes and his Kill Team stood in the teleportarium.  A dozen serfs and tech-priests tended to the esoteric machines in the room.  The lighting was dim, but such trivialities did not bother the transhuman super-soldiers of the Deathwatch or their augmented servants.
“We teleport in, get the data from the enemy flagship’s cognators, as per the Inquisitors’ instructions, then teleport out.  Anyone aboard the ship is to be terminated on sight.  Clear?”  The room shook with the acknowledgements of a dozen voices, amplified through their power armor.
“Clear!”
“Good.”  The Captain turned to the lead tech-priest.  “Magos.  We stand ready.”  The blank faceplate of the techpriest nodded back.
“May the Omnissiah bless your endeavour.”  The priest (Kaes couldn’t tell if it was originally a man or woman beneath the robes and augmetics and suspected it didn’t really matter) turned and flipped a heavy switch.  “Stand by to teleport.”
Aboard the Beyond
Captain Melos chewed his lower lip nervously as he watched the attack fleet, his fleet, get completely annihilated.  He was chosen to lead this assault, and, dammit, he was failing.   The Beyond was a powerful cruiser, built in secret, thought to be powerful enough to lead the assault force to take on the Citadel Fleet.  Only, the Fleet had been beefed up by Commander John bloody Shepard.  Even then, he might have confused them enough to have the ground agents on the Citadel take over, but no.  There were at least thirty starships that could match or outgun his beloved Beyond, not counting the trimultive of triangular super-dreadnaughts or the utterly massive cathedral… thing.  Dammit.
Melos’s fleet was in ruins.  He would not be pleased.  Melos didn’t know what he would tell him.  Hopefully he would be merciful… but mercy wouldn’t count for much if Melos was dead in the first place.  He was about to turn to his crew, to tell them to get out of Citadel space, when a strange feeling overtook him.  It was like the pressure before a thunderstorm, only much, much worse.  Several of his lieutenants blinked heavily or clutched their heads at the unexpected feeling, seeking to dispel it.  It lasted only for a moment, then…
A massive crack of displacing air sounded, and suddenly, there was a group of giants in their midst.  At least eight feet tall, they all wore heavy black armor and clutched various, utterly terrifying weapons.  Red lenses swept the bridge crew for a moment, and, before anyone could react, the giants lept into action.  Two leapt left, two right, moving faster than anything that big had any right to.  They lashed out with swords of all things, energy fields crackling around blades and horrible chain-teeth whirring.  The bridge crew died in seconds, completely unprepared for an attack of this sort.
Melos took all this in with horror, then realized the leader of the terrible giants, wearing a cloak and much more ornate armor, was stepping towards him.  He whimpered, and tried to take a step back, but his legs failed him as he stood there, terrified beyond belief.
Watch Captain Kaes disdained to use the colossal halberd in his right hand, instead picking up the captain of the ship with his massive left gauntlet.  He squeezed, crushing the man’s head as easily as a normal human crushing an aluminum can.  He sighed to himself.  Too easy.  Several shots sounded behind him as his rear guard gunned down a few crewmen trying to make it to the bridge.  He nodded at another Marine, this one with several robotic arms hanging from a pack on his back.
“Won’t take but a second, Watch Captain,” said the Marine, moving up to the ship’s computers.  The Captain and the men who had slaughtered the bridge crew waited, impassive in their armor, as their technological expert’s gauntlets flew across the computer keys, muttering about “bloody mortals and their too-small holographic keyboards.”  Twenty seconds and none dead crew members later, the tech expert nodded.
“We’re good to go,” he stated as he walked up to the Captain.
“Brothers,” said the Captain, and the rest of the Marines stood next to him, the rear guard’s weapons still pointed at the bridge exit where a few crew members cowered out of line of sight.
“Magos.  Our mission is complete.  Ready to teleport,” said the Captain.  In lieu of a response, the Marines vanished in a thunderclap of dissipating air, their mission complete.  The mighty guns of the Watch Eternal erased any trace of their presence as red beams struck the Beyond, vaporizing it.  The Inquisitors would be most intrigued to see inside information on how this galaxy operated.
There we have it.  Hope you enjoyed the story.  If you have any questions, comments, concerns, criticisms, or requests, feel free to ask!  Wherever you are, have a great day!

The Royal Wedding - Part 1
Tumblr media
Reporter Rebecca Doherty - We are coming to you live from Norman Cathedral on the wedding day of H.R.H Princess Katherine and Arch Duke Jordan of Sanoi. This is a special NBC coverage of the royal wedding.
Reporter Joseph Ness - First and Foremost our deepest sympathy goes towards the 119 Norman victims on the Queen Anne passenger vessel and all other victims from Monaca, Simovia, the Carolsimgian Empire & Carrington.
R.D - The royal family and parliament only just released a statement of condolences. But the crowds definitely appear to still be in good spirits as they wait outside the cathedral. Maybe a royal wedding is just what this country needs.
J.N - Yes I agree Rebecca, it was rumoured that the wedding would have been postponed but the Prime Minister suggested that the wedding should go forward.
Tumblr media
R.D - Yes very exciting Joseph, guests are already starting to arrive. We can see just right now that the rumoured girlfriend of Prince Philip, Charlotte Dorton, is making her way down the path.
J.N - I did wonder if she would turn up considering the amount of public attention she has received in the past few weeks. She has chosen a rather modern look for the wedding, wearing a nice nude colour.
R.D - Yes it does appear that she is trying to fit in with the crowd and not stand out.
Tumblr media
J.N - Now unlike her, we see Lady Emily Griven arriving. She has gone for a more showy look wearing a red dress.
R.D - It will be very interesting to see her interactions with Charlotte considering she use to date the Crown Prince.
Tumblr media
J.N - Yes it has been rumoured that the two don’t get on very well. I do admit, Lady Emily appears to be a lot more confident walking past the crowd. Maybe more Queen-like?
R.D - I’m not sure Joe, I do think that Charlotte is much more relatable.

THE APPEARANCE OF THE MOSTHOLY MOTHER OF GOD TO THE MONK SERGEI OF RADONEZH
Tumblr media
Once, in the deep of night, Venerable Sergius was reading an Akathist to the Mother of God. Having completed the usual rule he sat a bit to rest when suddenly he said to his cell attendant Venerable Micah: “Watch, child, we will have a miraculous visitation.”
Barely had he uttered these words when a voice was heard: “The All-Pure is coming.” St. Sergius hastened from his cell to the hall when suddenly there shone a bright light, stronger than the sun. He saw shining in ineffable glory the Mother of God, accompanied by the Apostles Peter and John. Unable to endure the wondrous light, Venerable Sergius reverently bowed before the Mother God and she said to him: “Fear not, my chosen one! I have come to visit you. Do not grieve anymore over your disciples and this place. Your prayers have been heard. From henceforth your habitation will be abundant, and not only in the days of your life, but also after your departure to the Lord I will never abandon your habitation, inexhaustibly granting it everything it needs and protecting it from all necessity.”
Having said this, the Mother of God became invisible. St. Sergius was long in inexpressible rapture, and, having come to himself, he picked up the venerable Micah. “Tell me, father,” asked the attendant, “what was this miraculous vision about? My soul nearly departed from my body from fear!” But the venerable Sergius remained silent. Only his luminescent face spoke of this spiritual joy which the saint experienced. “Wait a bit,” he finally uttered to his disciple, “while your soul calms from this miraculous vision.” After a while St. Sergius beckoned two of his disciples, Venerable Isaac and Simon, and disclosed to them the common joy and hope. All together they served a Moleben to the Mother of God. St. Sergius continued the remainder of the night without sleep, mentally paying heed to the Divine vision.
The appearance of the Mother of God in St. Sergius’ cell on the place of the current Serapion chamber[1] occurred on a Friday of the Nativity Fast in 1385. The memory of this visitation and promise of the Mother of God to the Trinity Monastery was piously kept by the disciples of St. Sergius.
His holy relics were uncovered on July 5, 1422 and soon on the coffin of St. Sergius was placed an icon of the appearance of the Mother of God. In memory of the visitation of the Mother of God, an Akathist to the Most Holy Theotokos is read every Friday in the Trinity Cathedral of the Trinity-St. Sergius Lavra, and a special service in honor of the appearance of the Mother of God is served in the monastery on the second day of the leave-taking of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos.

VENERABLE SERAPION, ABBOT AND WONDERWORKER OF THE ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST MONASTERY (747)
Tumblr media
Saint Serapion was abbot of the Monastery of St. John the Baptist in the Davit-Gareji Wilderness. He was endowed by God with the ability to work miracles.      Once St. Serapion set off for the city, following at a short distance behind several of the monastery’s brothers.      While they were traveling, a group of bandits attacked the monks who were walking in front of their abbot and made off with many of the church vessels they were carrying.      Terrified, the monks ran back to Serapion and told him what had happened.      “Great is God!” said Serapion. “I will not permit the unbelievers to steal His sacred things!”
With staff in hand, the elder raced ahead alone in pursuit of the robbers. When the robbers turned back they saw a terrible flame issuing forth from the elder’s staff and became greatly afraid. They abandoned the donkey that had been carrying their spoils and took to their heels. Another time Serapion suddenly burst out of his cell and cried to the brothers, “Woe is me! Woe is me! Robbers have attacked the servants on their way to the monastery!”      Having made this frightening announcement, he returned to his cell and began to pray. After a few hours the distraught servants arrived at the monastery and reported that bandits had attacked them along the way. The servants said that, when fleeing their attackers, they had abandoned the mules that were hauling the monastery’s property. A short time later the mules arrived at the monastery unaccompanied, bearing their load as before.      St. Serapion eventually abandoned his leadership of the monastery. He was tonsured into the great schema and withdrew into seclusion. Soon after, God revealed to him that his death was near, and he asked the brothers to bury him under the church gates, in a grave that he had prepared for himself. He intended for all who entered there to walk over his grave.      St. Serapion reposed in the year 1774.

MARK 3:13-19
13And He went up on the mountain and called to Him those He Himself wanted. And they came to Him.  14 Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach, 15 and to have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons: 16 Simon, to whom He gave the name Peter; 17 James the son of Zebedee and John the brother of James, to whom He gave the name Boanerges, that is, "Sons of Thunder"; 18 Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Cananite; 19 and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him. And they went into a house.
HEBREWS 7:26-8:2 (ST. PETER)
26 For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens; 27 who does not need daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the people's, for this He did once for all when He offered up Himself. 28 For the law appoints as high priests men who have weakness, but the word of the oath, which came after the law, appoints the Son who has been perfected forever.
1 Now this is the main point of the things we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, 2 a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man.
