Careful What You Wish For AU

((Time for another Ninjago au! This one takes place after an alternate ending to Skybound))

Jay makes his final wish, “I wish no one ever found that teapot in the first place” and Nadakahn granted it, sending Jay back to the past.

When Jay woke up, it was night time. He was outside Yang’s haunted temple, but it was no longer in the sky. He was on solid ground, his final wish must have worked! But he was alone. where were the others?

He went looking for them. He looked and looked but all he found were things that didn’t make sense. Things seemed older and less advanced, Ninjago city in particular seemed as though it had never gone through the phase of being ‘New Ninjago City’ in the first place... But what if...

…What if it hadn’t?

Jay summoned his dragon and flew around Ninjago. Everything pointed to it being much farther in the past than he thought. Before Clouse had even thought of looking for the teapot. Nadakahn must have sent him back to when it was first found.

But when was it first found?

Jay flew to the monastery. It’s condition should at least give him some form of a time frame for when it was found. Eventually he arrived at the monastery.

Jay landed nearby and went to investigate the ‘not burnt to a crisp’ monastery. Being inside it again, the familiar halls, the old layout, the doors he knew led to his and his friend’s old rooms, it felt nostalgic, but just so wrong at the same time. He couldn’t drop the feeling that he wasn’t supposed to be here.

He soon found out this reason when he was caught by the past versions of the ninja and was staring himself in the face. they didn’t recognise him as Jay, probably because he was wearing his mask, had the airjitzu gi on, had an eye patch, not to mention the fact that he was also standing across the room- They started attacking him.

Jay was chased out of the monastery, being able to avoid capture due to him having more experience than the ninja from the past. But now he was left with quite the situation.

He was stuck in the past, before the serpentine were even released. He had no where to go. He didn’t even really have an identity anymore because the Jay Walker of this time was back at the monastery with the other ninja. He was alone again. Why did he have to be alone again? he didn’t want to be alone again, he just wanted to see his friends again, did they even exist anymore? Sure there was the past versions of his friends but they were not the same. What was he supposed to do?

Being unsure of that or where to go, he made up a new identity for himself, Drake Gordon, picked a direction and began walking. He ends up in the city of stiix, a good place to lay low while he figures out what exactly he’s going to do. That’s when he runs into a familiar face.

Careful What You Wish For

Paige let out a breath as she tucked her cell phone back into her purse. Readjusting the straps, she headed toward Park Cinq. There were a lot of things to do in New York City. For one, as she stood on the sidewalk and looked up at the apartment building her mom apparently lived in, she might see her mom for the first time in a long time. It had taken awhile for her to track her down, mostly because she'd tried very hard to keep her search from her dad. The last thing she wanted was for him to think that he wasn't enough. He was. He'd played both roles so well ever since her mom had abandoned them, but still, Paige was curious about her mom. Most importantly, she wanted to understand why she'd left them, but she wasn't ready for that conversation today. Maybe she'd never be ready. For now, a glimpse of her would be enough.

Paige spotted a bench across the street that would give her a good view of the entrance. She knew she'd probably be waiting awhile, so she'd come prepared. She had food, water, and a good book. She could sit here for hours, although she was hoping she'd spot her long before hours had passed. In between the pages of her book, Paige considered why her mom might have left them as she had many times before. She tried to think of reasons that would not paint her in a bad light, but the more people that entered and exited the building, the harder it became. Her mom clearly led a life of luxury. She had to to live on Fifth Avenue. Meanwhile, Paige remembered a time when her dad had struggled to pay the bills. She'd only had enough for college because her dad was a saver and she'd held down a job for as long as she could remember.

Two hours passed, then three, then four. Just when Paige was about to call it a day, she saw her mom exit the building, and her breath hitched in her throat. She knew her mom had gotten remarried, but she'd had no idea that she’d had a daughter. It was a good thing that Paige was sitting down. She sat frozen as she watched her mom and her half-sister slowly disappear from view, her mom laughing at something her half-sister had said. Paige wasn't sure how she felt right now. All she could think about was how different the lives of two girls who shared a mother could be.

So I've been listening to Careful what you wish for and it has an absolute chokehold on me. Because of that, and with how well it fits my character Sylvester's story that I've crafted based around the Hazbin Hotel universe and how he died, I've made up a screenplay that I definitely want to work towards completing at some point! I'm not sure how far I'd get into it at all but I'm sure as shit gonna try! And if/when I finish it, I'll send the final product on this blog.

I choose the word - Rambunctious

The word rambunctious reminded me of Nathan Drake, so here's a littlte familial / platonic love of Valerie (my OC) and Nate for my Uncharted series 'Careful What You Wish For'.

Sully rolled his eyes, heaving a sigh as he begrudgingly stood there and waited for Nate and Valerie. At least, the man told himself, he could take that time to smoke a cigar.

“Do we really have to do this?” He asked them nonetheless, gritting his teeth. “Can’t you two just stay still?”

“Valerie needs to know how to defend herself!” Nathan defended himself, still holding his hands up for the girl. “How else am I gonna know if she can punch?”

“You know, Nathan?” Valerie began, smirking at him. “I think it’d be easier to punch your face, it’d be more fun too”

Sully laughed with her joke, much to his friend’s annoyance. Nate rolled his eyes and turned to the young girl.

“That’s cute” He showed her a sarcastic grin. “Now give it to me, okay?”

Valerie playfully rolled her eyes as she punched one of his hands. Then she punched again, much harder than she needed to. When Nathan winced in complaint, she laughed along with Sully. That started a struggle of play fighting that the older man watched in amusement as he enjoyed his cigar.
