Rediscovered my love for tremors today after stumbling apon the forgotten TV show that took place after the third movie, I love tremors and I was saddened to learn about two years ago they had plans for a new TV series but it was cancelled by the SYFI channel the day before airing. And after the shrieker island movie burt gummer the character died in the movie because the actor was getting too old to play burt so he had his character go out like a badass.

A/N: Yeehawgust is upon us folks. The weekly prompt for week 1 goes to my beloved @thetremorssaga​ and Burt. The King of Guns and Grumpiness.

“That was a warning shot…” Burt yells at the creature even as it howl-roars it’s dismay at him. He’d managed a shot that stung but didn’t do much else. A warning shot indeed. Still as the Graboid sinks back under the surface he considers it a win. Graboids have started coming back, El Blanco actively eating his own sometimes. He is not a fan of the creatures despite being a Graboid himself, an albino. “He’s gone, you all can get off your roof for now…. Start working on getting higher places to sleep.” Despite not being the mayor of the town, Burt does actively care for his people.
