spooky tuesday is a (now not so new!) podcast where we’re breaking down all of our favorite slashers, thrillers, monster movies and black comedies on the new scariest day of the week.

we’d like to tell you we don’t spend our entire tremors (1990) episode talking about a single mom who works two jobs (who loves her kids and never stops), but if we did, we’d be lying. on our latest episode of spooky tuesday, we may have gotten a little swept up in the hype of a certain country music star turned silver screen siren. that said, we did also find some time to discuss ot3s, creative new curse words, the merits of pole vaulting, and new restaurant franchise ideas (oops, that one’s reba again!).

Have you ever realized you might be “too much” of a nerd? Like I saw a meme, I wanna stress that- it was a ducking meme to be funny, a fandom I love. One of those silly “this is canon such and such and this is the canon if one thing was changed.”

It’s usually hilarious, right?

Well this one was about Jurassic Park. Anyone who knows me knows I get hella fixated on it. I devour whatever I can. And it also includes Tremors. Another fandom I really enjoy but not as much as Jurassic Park. And like with JP there is two different canons, right?

There is the book and the movie.

And either way- huge book with the caption “this is canon Jurassic Park” and tiny book with the caption “this is Jurassic Park if Hammond hired Burt Gummer instead of Muldoon”- did not make me laugh. I could see how it would but like.

A) Hammond never would have hired Gummer. Gummer didn’t have the credentials.

And b) if he had hired Muldoon he would have had the same draw backs as Muldoon. Hammond would not have bought him guns. He would have argued against any lethal measures. Hammond cared more about those dinosaurs more than his own grandchildren (again book canon. Movie Hammond cared.)

In the book, Muldoon actually had a rocket launcher thing. Just the one with a set amount of rockets cause Muldoon threatened to quit (if I remember right). Movie Muldoon was fucked. And Burt would not have been in a better position because Hammond would not have allowed Burt to bring his own.

And just… *frustrated noises*

Admittedly, there's a couple real stinkers in the series and none are as good as the original, but it's still a lot of fun!

i was talking bout the movie Tremors with the aliens and sand (even though i only vaguely remmember the movie)

I watched the trolls movies with this friend!! And during lunch at school we are watching the hunger games together!!!!! so i guess whenever we are together i talk about old movies and such because when i see her it reminds me of things i like; specifially movie plots that i want to share with her, or even watch togrther one day.

Itss been really fun looking back in a positive light of what is now :3

Anywho may post lots more fanboying like this ive just been super busy, i want 2 share more fanboying and silly things i enjoye if thats okays ^_^

Summary:

Burt Gummer has been called many things: Doomsday Prepper, Gun Enthusiast, Monster Hunter. He rejects all these labels. What he is, is a Survivalist. But even Survivalists need vacations.

OR Burt Gummer tries to go on a vacation when he finds an abandoned secret government lab funded by the mysterious Graboid Investigation Ward, and discovers government cover-ups, conspiracy, human experimentation, and maybe… a new assistant. Too bad for these G-men in White, Burt Gummer is fully loaded on ammo, and all out of mercy. Let’s go hunt some Graboids.

Takes place between Tremors 6 and 7, 2003 show mentioned but not essential for reading.

Summary: Rudy kept getting reports of mercenaries, fitting the Shadows description, come up on his desk. But the leads die down as soon as they pop up. When him and Alejandro stake out the last known location, they soon discover that the Shadows are the least of their worries for Las Almas. Warnings: canon typical violence, gore Notes: This idea started out as a joke but the more I sat with it, the more I got excited of bringing more cod guys (and gals) into the monstrous mayhem.
