Bestie, being on tour literally means jumping from one city to the other like, twice a week ore more, for months, so Må are not really doing anything different from other artists :) They're living the dream, this includes America, and we must admit LA is a much more important stage than Lisbon or Athens (or my own city which they'll never tour :P ). Of course they grab the chance, surely they'll stop and rest at some point, but for now they need to beat the iron until it's hot :)
I'm not talking about jumping from one city to the other, a few times a week during a regular tour, when they focus on shows, give some interviews and have time between the cities/countires.
I'm talking about this insane promo tour, days filled with interviews, tv appearances (11.10 they had what, 6, 7? even if most of the stations have one owner and are probably in the same building - it's a lot), announcing the show in London a day or two before it happens, going from Europe to the US (I hope they have at least one free day to adjust to a completely different time zone). And they've been on this wild ride since Eurovision.
Other artists overworking themselves too doesn't mean it's good for anyone.
Sure. LA is more important than Lisbon. Tokyo is more important than Warsaw. NY is more important than Tallinn. Why Budapest, when they could have 2 shows in a more important London or Berlin?
I'm not saying they can't go to the States. Good for them, honestly, I wish them all the best. But for me - they're doing everything too fast and too soon.
I'm not surprised they want to get as much as they can out of this sudden attention. I really understand it, but still don't like this.

24 March 2022: Paradise Discotheque, Crime and the City Solution. (Mute, 1990)
Led by Simon Bonney, Crime and the City Solution are an Australian band that has been around since 1977. They had a 20-year hiatus after the 1993 live album The Adversary, resurfacing in 2013 with a new lineup and album called American Twilight. This new lineup included David Eugene Edwards from the groups 16 Horsepower and Wovenhand. I saw them on tour that year, and it was incredible. American Twilight also ranked quite high on my Top Ten Best Albums of 2013—I believe it came in at #2. I’ve been revisiting it lately and would no longer rate it that highly, but my recent stint with it enthused me sufficiently to repurchase Paradise Discotheque, their final full-length studio album before their 1993 dissolution. I had traded it long ago.
I owned it in the early ’90s courtesy of a cutout bin and some dim knowledge that the band had some sort of tenuous connection with Nikki Sudden or Epic Soundtracks, members of the even then long-defunct art-punk band Swell Maps, a pedigree that for a while could convince me to buy almost anything regardless of how slight the connection. Hell, it still sort of does. I had to go back and look up what the connection was, and sure enough Epic Soundtracks served as Crime drummer in 1985-86, appearing on the band’s second release, the 1985 EP Just South of Heaven and their debut full-length, 1986′s Room of Lights. The band also had a connection to Nick Cave’s early group The Birthday Party, whose members Mick Harvey and Rowland S. Howard served in multiple Crime lineups. While I was never a Swell Maps or Birthday Party superfan, these people were inarguably cool and as a college-age person I was happy to try anything new if it involved any of them.
Paradise Discotheque turned out to strike me as a turgid, hopelessly dull album. It came out the year I turned 18 and I just don’t think I was equipped for it at the time. When Crime and the City Solution returned in 2013, Mute released a  one-disc career anthology A History of Crime: Berlin 1987-1991—An Introduction to Crime & the City Solution, which I purchased at the time. I still found the group a little turgid, but I understood them far better than I had in 1990. A whopping 7 out of 9 tracks from Paradise Discotheque are on that 2013 anthology, so you could argue it’s a little redundant for me to repurchase the album when I’ve already got almost all of it, but I wanted the authentic album back. I got a sealed promo copy on eBay, and I love it—it’s got the real-deal heavyweight jewel case of the time, not one of these light and cheap modern jewel cases. This thing has substantial heft.
Above are the front and back covers. Promo albums in the first couple years of the ’90s that were meant for radio stations often carried that “When You PLAY IT, SAY IT!” slogan. I thought it only made sense that a radio station should announce the names of what they played. I noticed that my hometown’s college radio station often played things without identifying them. What is the point? When I went to work at my own college radio station, on my very first day, while being given a tour of the facilities, I asked the program director, “Do you practice ‘PLAY IT, SAY IT’?” He had no idea what I was talking about. I thought my question would be impressive, showing I already knew some of the lingo. It didn’t matter, he was gone and I was in charge in a matter of months, and it was definitely routine practice to announce what we played.
Below is the opened case, showing the back of the booklet and the disc.
Tumblr media
According to the band’s endless posts on Facebook, they are back at work on a new album, their first since 2013′s American Twilight, and about to launch a tour.

This Griessmühle BLN located heavy assault Psycho Thrill Cologne TECHNO throw-back from 2014!
PSYCHO THRILL [@] TALKING MACHINES BLN 08082014
08-08-2014: Another typical club mix in a pure Psycho Thrill CGN vein, played by Claus Bachor for “TALKING MACHINES” at GRIESSMUEHLE / Berlin. SRY here for a few slight rumbles due to a skippy turntable and a partially distorted monitoring which accounts either for some of the “lil'skips” during the mix. However, it used to be a huge night due to the brilliant audience hangin’ out there - movin’ into any direction on the cutting edge of Techno -, the super nice work by the “Talking Machines” promoters and the very cool atmosphere of the whole “Griessmuehle” club as well.

ADVANCE PRAISE FOR Poets with Masks On; A Pandemic Anthology Edited by Melanie Simms – Featuring pandemic poetry by Richard Blanco, Molly Peacock, Ellen Bass, Gary Fincke, Connie Post, Melanie Simms, Christine Gelineau, Jason O’Toole, David Swanger among many others.
“In a dark time the eye begins to see,” wrote Theodore Roethke. The poets of this remarkable collection are the eyes by which we begin to see not only the darkness of our harrowing COVID year but also the strength, the necessary strength, to write and create in the midst of it all. In that way, this collection is both a document and a promise of what we can all summon in order to persevere.
–Richard Deming, Director of Creative Writing, Winner of the Berlin prize, Yale University
“Despite the darkness responsible for the origin of these poems, Melanie Simms has brightened the world by compiling a small, but compelling anthology. I, for one, am happy to have work included among such a varied, engaging collection.”
–Gary Fincke, author of The Infinity Room and The Mussolini Diaries. Founding Director of the Writer’s Institute, Susquehanna University

Niall's twitter fans continue to have even worse reading comprehension than the average tumblr user and wonder if, since he's not working on a new album, perhaps he's planning a secret tour? Niall, a rational human being who has spent the last few months telling us all about how he's working on the new album and won't be touring this year: "?????????" He seems at a loss and who can blame him?? He was spotted yesterday in L.A., allegedly the home of the confused fan, perhaps he can go set them straight in person.
Taylor Swift is in full promo mode for her new song, of course, and why shouldn't she be? But is using the occasion of her new collab to make digs at people she's done collabs with in the past really necessary? Specifically, she's been saying things that the media have widely interpreted as being directed at Zayn about people she's done songs with who were not "excited" about performing live. Given that the reason Zayn wasn't more excited about it is presumably the performance related panic attacks and anxiety struggles that he has openly talked about, there's a feeling that she could be a little more sensitive. Does all this have to do with her much publicized friendship with Gigi Hadid? Could be. And, as long as I'm fussing about Zayn: songwriter Alexander DeLeon posted an old pic of him lifting his shirt and it's not like we don't know but oh friends. He was so so thin. I just hope our beautiful boy is finding a way to feel in control of his life that doesn't hurt him, and that he can be well and happy.
The Spanish radio station affiliated with the festival Louis is booked on has released some audio of their interview with Louis; same content as the print version, though on the subject of that he does mention again in the interview the song about the fans that he's excited for us to hear. US TOO BABE!!Iheartradio meanwhile continues to report on Louis but not play his music on their stations, to the increasing consternation of many, Josh Devine calls Louis a legend, and LTHQ reminds us that today is the last day to vote for him in the Billboard Music Awards.
In Berlin, Liam went out for dinner with known wlw Stella Maxwell and then the Sun published an 'exclusive' about their new romantic relationship. Maybe so! Who can say. Or maybe he was just angling for an introduction to her ex, Kristen Stewart, which is for sure what I would have been doing...

I’ll try to come up with a proper promo sometime later, but for now you can reblog this small post if you’re interested in writing with a(ny of the) character(s) portrayed/narrated by Richard Armitage.
This currently includes Claude Becker (Ocean's 8), Daniel Miller (Berlin Station), John Porter (Strike Back), Heinz Kruger (Captain America: The First Avenger) and Guy of Gisborne (Robin Hood)

Seems I opened up tumblr just to post about Berlin Station, and I have to, because no one shitposts about it. Everything is just Richard Armitage thirsting and promo shots. I get it, who's not thirsting, but I just want to talk about the action! One: Rafael Torres turns out to be the unexpected, unpopular choice to emerge as a hero we don't even deserve. Please. Someone post a shot of him being adorable with C4. Whatcha thinkin' 'bout? Nothin', just girly things :3 Two: what is Hecky doing in Saint Petersburg omggg bby u ok? Also is it just me or did anyone else think Birdman was gonna, like...snap Andrea's neck or something? Why were those scenes so ominous?
