Season 6 Featured on: SiIvaGunner's Highest Quality Rips: Volume FF
Ripped by The Green Spy
youtube
I'm forever going to be mad that I missed the chance to post this rip on February 7th (2.7) instead of Battle Emergency...but hey, 3.7 is pretty close to e as well, isn't it? Also, formal congratulations to the longest-yet title of a rip to be featured on the blog, up against stiff competition like The expanse of meme in past was split, A fiendish trap has now been set; Behind a tree the villains sit, Terror of sport, the Robbie's Net. and If I chopped Pikachu up in a meat grinder, and the only thing that comes out and is left of him is his eyeball, he's PROBABLY dead. Nay, I say, today's rip stands head and shoulders above them both! Today's rip, is Mr. 2.718281828459045235360287471352662497757247093699959574966967627724076630353547594571382178525166427427466391932003059921817413596629043572900334295260595630738132328627943490763233829880753195251019011573834187930702154089149934884167509244761460668082264800168477411853742345442.
Setting aside the absurdity of the title for a moment though, there is some really fun stuff to dig into with this rip. You may recall, be it through having kept up with the blog or just being aware of SiIva's most well-remember rips in general, one of MtH's finest works in 【=3】e-MUNO Disco (vs. 音MAD AGENT) - a Season 2 rip that I think permanently altered the way my brain functions in some way by being my first-ever exposure to Yousuke Yasui's music. Yet sitting amidst the primary jokes in that rip, be it "Minecraft With Gadget" as part of the Inspector Gadget takeover, as well as other then-relevant sources such as Rock My Forum of LAST YTPMV^2 OF 2016 fame and the greatest French rapper of our lifetime, there was one quite bizarre source - "e", by the math education YouTube channel Numberphile.
Numberphile's channel itself is incredibly wholesome and useful, and the people contributing to it like James Grime have a genuinely excellent knack for explaining and demonstrating complex concepts in a concise yet wholly understandable way. Their output isn't exactly something you'd think of as memetic - that is, of course, with the exception of the video featuring the funniest thumbnail ever put onto YouTube: e (Euler's Number) - Numberphile. It was simply a perfect storm: the rise in the use of "e" as part of deepfried ironic shitposting of the mid-2010s, the absurd enthusiasm James Grime shows in both the thumbnail and the video's introduction, the eloquence of which he explains the meaning of this silly letter. It only first showed up on SiIvaGunner itself during the start of Season 2, with the aptly titled rip "e", and became sort of a sleeper hit gag during the Season: hell, during this year's SiIvaGunner MAGFest panel, channel manager MtH confirmed that e is still one of her all-time favorite channel memes. And, yeah: its funny factor is shown to great effect in (brace yourselves!) Mr. 2.718281828459045235360287471352662497757247093699959574966967627724076630353547594571382178525166427427466391932003059921817413596629043572900334295260595630738132328627943490763233829880753195251019011573834187930702154089149934884167509244761460668082264800168477411853742345442.
You take a source as prime for YTPMV-ing, sentence mixing and pitch shifting as the original Numberphile video, and attach it to perhaps the greatest YTPMV song of all time in Mr. Patch from Banjo-Tooie (Mr. PACs ~ Obamjo-Roomnie, anyone?), and the result is almost destined to be gold. Putting a source so reliant on making out what the narrator is saying together with a song infamous for its hectic tempo may well have been the biggest challenge preventing a rip like this from having been made, but let us not forget that this is The Green Spy we're dealing with here. And if there's anything I've gathered about The Green Spy as an anonymous contributor through their rips alone, rips like (YTPMV) Bob-Omb Battlesources and ESPECIALLY Mad Mew Mew Becoming Uncanny, its that they truly know their stuff about YTPMVs.
The added visuals is just the cherry on top of it all. Though its standard for YTPMVs off of SiIva, and occasionally even on the channel itself such as with Crompton Racing, the visuals on Mr. 2.718281828459045235360287471352662497757247093699959574966967627724076630353547594571382178525166427427466391932003059921817413596629043572900334295260595630738132328627943490763233829880753195251019011573834187930702154089149934884167509244761460668082264800168477411853742345442 are so effective at punctuating every little surprise and detail made to the rip. Be it the surprise appearance of Jack Black's famous "dick!" sample, the brief change to suddenly start listing the number One repeatedly instead of the sequence of numbers that define the joke (and the title!), the uses of "e" from the fonts of WarioWare Smooth Moves, feature in the aforementioned first appearance of Numberphile on SiIva...while the joke hasn't been featured all too frequently on SiIva as of late, its rips like this that make the joke's reappearance always feel triumphant - its the kind of source you have to WORK for to make funny, and The Green Spy pulls it off with absolute aplomb.

Is your Nuts and Bolts LP still available anywhere?
hello, anonymous person from 2016. yes it IS.
when you originally asked this question it wasn't, but hey 8 years have passed and things have changed now. the world fucking sucks, but ONE way that it has improved is that i made the effort to upload my LPs to a modern video hosting platform. all three LPs are here - totalling 1 day, 15 hours, 22 mins and 36 secs of video. that's a lot! a lot a lot a lot! (remember that guy from majora's mask?)
and because i'm insane i also went to the effort of adding 'director's commentary' to every video, padding out this project even further. that's over 42,000 words of commentary that literally nobody will ever read, because immediately after i posted it all youtube rolled out an updated video design that masked the video description underneath a dropdown menu, thus ensuring my gags and mental breakdowns remain entombed in obscurity (where they absolutely belong). thanks a fucking lot!
this reupload project also features over 10k words of nuts & bolts fanfiction i wrote to go alongside the videos, which is... also something that nobody will ever read. i linked it here anyway. one thing about me is that i labour over massive projects that nobody will ever see, and i never finish them. my hard drive is a graveyard of video and writing projects that will never see the light of day in either complete or incomplete form. can i be real for a second though? i LOVE this. i think this is one of the funniest things i have ever written lmao. and i actually got it not only completed, but posted publicly too. holy shit.
i'm split on whether i should do anything else with this project. on the one hand, all that commentary i spent over a year writing should have a chance at being seen. arguably i should start putting those gags and comments somewhere that they might actually get eyes on them, like here on tumblr or on cohost or something. on the other hand, this is already a 16-year old video project that i have arguably milked for way more than it's actually worth. i already added unnecessary extra commentary to a dead series of LPs, can you imagine anything more depressingly recursive and masturbatory than putting those comments elsewhere... with further comments? lmao. that would be a horse-flogging so thorough that the horse would be reduced to a fine red paste.
don't let the big cartoon eyes on it's head fool you, this stone has no blood left to be wrung. but here's the links. enjoy them, please. don't forget they were made between the years of 2008-2010, that is very important contextualizing information. and for the curious, the reason why i never completed nuts & bolts is because i was depressed. and the reason why i have struggled to complete any creative pursuits for my entire adult life is because the spectre of this fucking project looms over me, kindly reminding me that this will ultimately be the fate of artistic endeavor i attempt.

MR. DOORS
Just kidding it's April Fools' Day though Roblox DOORS makes me want to play Spooky’s House of Jump Scares/Jump Scare Mansion again. (I especially like Jack it has that SHOJS/SJSM/IMSCARED feel)
Some of the other sources are actually in the thumbnail if you look hard enough (I am very sneaky lol):

Starbeans cameos
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Unused leftover text and sprites suggesting that the Starbeans café was meant to feature cameos from different Nintendo characters instead of just E Gadd as in the final game. There is (mostly) finished text and animations showing Wario, Fox McCloud, Olimar, Samus, Excitebike racer and Link. The text corresponding to each character is unique and reflects their source, like Fox getting a call from Slippy Toad and Olimar speaking in narration.

Bottles revenge
youtube
When the player starts a new file, they will get an additional cutscene where Bottles' spirit turns evil. Player 2 can now use Devil Bottles to take control of the baddies and try to hinder Banjo's progress. However, Devil Bottles is not available in boss battles, and will disappear when Banjo enters a boss room. The rest of the game's story remains unchanged when in this mode. In this mode, the first player plays the game as normal. When Banjo is near an enemy, Devil Bottles will hover over it and player 2 can control it and make it attack by pressing B. If multiple enemies are nearby, player 2 can press R to switch between them. Additionally, a radar will appear at the bottom right corner of the screen. During the Tower of Tragedy Quiz, player 2 will be able to control Mingella or Blobbelda at will, similar to the multiplayer version available from the replay menu. The mode is quite functional, but there are still unimplemented features that caused the mode's dummying out. The two players were to switch positions upon the baddies landing a kill, so successfully thwarting player 1 would allow player 2 to take a turn as Banjo. Boss battles were also intended to be playable, with Old King Coal being the only known attempt, but it was found that putting a human in control of a boss was too difficult to win against, ruining the patterns that boss fights are predicated upon. Also, using it in replay mode makes the game think it's in story mode.

ayy just another art raffle (second art prize!) I had just finished (not without a few changes, since I accidentally made our dear ol' partner Jamjars a bit too tall (even taller than Cranky!) here)! This time, the art raffle prize is for @kokirikong (k0kiri_ART on Twitter, where the raffle happened!), who wanted Cranky Kong and sergeant Jamjars just having a nice good ol' time, like a lil crack ship/good friends <3

Banjo-Kazooie. (Banjo-Threeie game installment.)
Tumblr media
Phil Spencer is it? Phil...Please...PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN! Please finally make a third game! Nut's and Bolt's does not count! I've been waiting for this for 20 years! Give them the recognition that they deserve! Rewrite the plot, because the other plot was just...Not canon to me! Microsoft did not deserve Banjo-Nor Conker.)
Nut's and Bolt's was a fun game...Yet, it was not a Banjo game. It did not have the adventure feel to it. So, please make the third installment happen!
