Hello, December. Here's my 2nd half (and final) of my 'High Purity Copper Wire Replacement Audio' for my QKZ AK6 Pro IEM Earphones, or as I call it my 'audio wire replacement' (, feat. my paper dolls).

• [22nd & 23rd Image] Finally, the installation is complete! Care to wear it, you two? 🎧😊 "Yes, please" said my paper dolls. [24th Image] Mmmmm... 🤔 A-Okay, but uhh... I think, would it better if you two wear my headphones over earphones, Okay? 😊 My paper dolls completely agree.

• Now, let's go to the actual wear, featuring "ME!". 😊 You can see these photos of mine, they fit well on both of my ears just like before 👂🙂👍. Sound-wise, the sound quality is the same as I expected 🙂🎶👌, but say cannot be said for the quality of ear hooks. You see, upon wearing these or taking off after hours of listening, the material for the ear hooks feels quite flimsy than the original one. 🪢 👂🎧🤔 My OG audio wire's ear hooks used to have a solid bend without worrying about. On top of that, the wiring itself feels quite light, making it easy to snap after a long use (, as I predict 🤔). Not to mention, the slippery and glossy appearance of the wiring. Though, I'm not sure if this replacement could last as long as the original one. But, we'll see in the endurance durability pace for my new audio wire. On the plus side, it is as comfy as before without hurting my ears; not even once.

• As of today (Dec 15th, 2023), I have no issues whatsoever, so far. I've tested it on my Honor 8C phone to see the function of the controls (play/pause, and the volume buttons), and it worked well. And with the volume controls on my IEM earphones, I don't have to reach my phone just to adjust the volume for hearing purposes. 🎧📲😊👍

Overall & Asking Price:

• Despite material differences between the OG and the replacement one, I'd say if your OG audio wire was busted after the lifespan was dead, a replacement for your current IEM earbuds is a better choice. 🎶🎧😊👍 Not only the audio wire replacements deliver the same quality sound as the original, but they also it'll save your budget, as well, if you have existing functional IEM detachable earpieces. Because some people like me, don't want to spend another spare of regular earphones with no detachable feature, right? Well, okay I guess that is debatable (BUT). 🤔Nonetheless, I think every IEM budget owners should buy this if they so desire. 😊

• As for the price, I order it from Shopee PH for only ₱ 145 [CLICK ME!] 🏷️. 🇵🇭🛒🌐 There's also an additional ₱10 for the pouch, but I rather not spending it. Considering, that I have tons of pouches to used. 🙂 There's also available on Lazada PH [CLICK ME!] 🇵🇭🛒🌐, as well albeit a different price than Shopee 🏷️, plus there's a Type C variant and different style choices.

I’d got his latest final topic review of 2023; as for myself that I promise mine with my new controller to continue and so on. Sorry if I’m taking a break to get there, but at least I’ll be saving it for next year coming soon.

Anyways, I give my Filipino pal some credit after sharing his new wire replacement item; especially his last one was chewed on from their pet rabbit. You gotta be careful when you trying to place an item next to the pet that he/she won’t mind to snack on. It’s not good for their health, but I didn’t have a pet for our family, so….

As for the new ones, these are not bad that I agreed with him. Just make sure to stay away their pet rabbit if it happened again; despite one of being cute critters.

using more expensive metals for wires for "sound quality" is definitely a scam but there's probably something to be said about using higher quality metals to reduce strain hardening because this is like my third set of headphones where the hardening of the wire over time is causing problems

#this could be solved with better headphones #but unfortunately nobody really makes behind the neck headphones anymore #which is the kind I use for when I'm out of the house #I will Not use bluetooth #all that said #gold audio cables are definitely a scam #it'd be nice if I could just replace the aux cable :/#instead of having to throw out the whole thing after the wire craps out

one of the 2 sets of bluetooth earbuds i have in rotation rn is dying and ngl bc of the way i use these things, i suspect the other set will soon die as well. they've lasted roughly... 2.5 years? i believe i got this phone, and so those earbuds on the same day, in spring of 2021. they've served well enough, i think. i was already going to buy another of the same thing in a different color, to replace my set of godawful true wireless buds so i have a set i can use with my laptop at a distance (it luckily has a 3.5mm jack, so that's what i usually use, but i've found i want to be able to use the bluetooth audio with it as well), so i'm just buying 3 different colors all at once, since they're not overwhelmingly expensive and i sooooooort of have the cash on hand? i'd rather not have done it this way but there is literally nothing worse than being caught with a malfunctioning pair of primary use earbuds

It's so funny how easy it is to do things

#nobody expects the new hobby #going to gut wired headphones and make them Bluetooth compatible because somehow this is easier than replacing a 1/4 Jack with a 3.5 #<- it actually is because there's less chance of a soldering mistake #I think I should get rlly into speaker building it's the sort of thing I'd be good at #or maybe carpentry #definitely not going to get into studying #someone should give me room and board and pay and I'll be like an artist/carpenter/handyman/electrician in residence #they'd get so many funky things. gnome lamp. mural. vintage headphone refurbishments. knitting. several plays. garden. I'm very clean #see this is doing a project spiral like at first I was just gonna buy these cool headphones I saw but then they had a 1/4 jack and my phone #doesn't even have a 3.5 jack so I'd have to get a 1/4->3.5->lightening adapter setup and that'd be a pain #so I was like okay can I just rewire it into a 3.5mm but with audio I don't trust my soldering ability. so I could get a Bluetooth receiver #but they're all for 3.5mm jacks or upwards of 200 euro. so okay could I just wire them directly into a receiver. oh for €5 I can get a #Bluetooth stereo amp. and because they're stereo headphones with exposed wires it is literally all set up perfectly. all I have to do is #take off the caps attach the chip and batteries and drill a charging port hole #literally like five hours of work easy #at no point have I really thought about how I can't wear overear headphones because I'm scared someone will kill me from behind #that's the least of my issues step one is bidding in this eBay auction for headphones

some disabilities that I think could exist in the Bionicle universe for character and world-building reasons:

under-active cooling systems that lead to fatigue and illness. these beings have to limit their physical activity or they will overheat and could cause serious damage to their other internal systems. some of them may go live in Ko-Matoran districts or other cold areas even if they wouldn't live there traditionally. Matoran with this condition may be more likely to use crabs or small personal vehicles to get around

since I headcanon that most beings are mass-printed or otherwise mass-produced, you can occasionally find someone who was simply printed wrong in some way, a production line error causing a deformity. some of these deformities would have been weeded out by quality control before everyone gained sentience, but not all

memory loss seems to be a built-in feature for many beings in the MU. some beings have this to an even greater degree than others, however, and they might lose their memories very frequently or even lack the ability to form memories

if a Toa is interrupted while in the middle of passing his power on to another Toa and becoming a Turaga, the new Toa can become trapped halfway between Matoran and Toa, sometimes not reaching the typical height or physical power of an average Toa, and possibly having limited control of their elemental powers

the different culture of the MU would create different possible mental illnesses. for instance, some Matoran could become overly-obsessed with the ideals of duty to the point that they almost seem at times to have lost their sentience again and only be capable of work. the existence of physic powers also means that there are a lot of ways in which someone's mind could be damaged by psionic powers like repeated hypnotism, confusion, or memory tampering

not to mention all the different ways mutation could cause disabilities and chronic pain

disabilities related to control over powers: these could be particularly common in Skakdi, who are given unprecedented and experimental powers by Spiriah. many Skakdi are permanently damaged by his experiments and may have extremely faulty control of their abilities

if the glass or plastic that makes up the eyepiece is damaged, that can be replaced, but if the wiring that connects the eyes to the brain is damaged, someone could have blindness or vision loss. the same goes for a lot of parts - maybe an audio receptor can be removed and replaced, but if the internal systems are damaged, it might not be possible to replace or repair those parts. it's similar to humans in that way

there could also be intellectual or cognitive disabilities similar to those of humans

damaged joints that have to be permanently locked or braced so they will not break... looking at you, lime-greens

I also think that there are already disabilities in the text! We know there's a concept of muteness because the Makuta wonder if Vamprah has mutism or if he chooses not to speak, there's the concept of being "cross-wired," and the Rahaga, Zaktan, and Nidhiki's mutations alter their powers and change their physical abilities in ways meant to be debilitating and horrifying. we have references to insanity, broken arms, amnesia, amputees, and more.

Here it is! This is my last item review for 2023, the "High Purity Copper Wire Replacement Audio" [Model name: "HC001ABK"] for my existed QKZ AK6 Pro IEM Earphones by the folks of Popcorn Tech. 🙂🎧🎶 Mmmmm... I would like to call it "Audio Wire Replacement", for now on. 🙂 So, will it worked on my current IEM Earphones? Let's find out. 🤔

So, without further ado, let's get started:

• [5th & 6th Images] Alright so, let's have a comparison with my old one (from the original box), while I'm making an explanation why I bought this replacement. I have a ton of photos, so let's keep rolling.

• The reason why I need it as urgent was because of our new pet bunny 🥰🐰🤗 (yes, we do have a pet domestic rabbit gifted by our related family tree) chewing on my OG audio wire, while I was sleeping at midnight. Apparently, My IEM earphone was felt beside our pet rabbit's cage before it chewed. 🐰 (Reason? Because my parents bought a ton of item goods to sell for our small business, which ended up in our living room) And what you see now (followed by other snapshots) are the remaining pieces of my OG audio wire, and that's why I need a replacement for my current IEM. As I said before, owning an IEM had a huge advantage over ordinary/regular earphones was the ability to detach the earpiece from the old audio wire and in favor of the new one. As for our beloved pet rabbit, we've decided to move to the backyard, along with our beloved mixed breed canine (named "Buster") during the cleaning schedule. 😊🐶

BTW: While I can't show ya our actual pet rabbit, instead here's a video of our exact pet rabbit breed 🥰🐰🤗 → [CLICK ME!]. As for our mixed breed canine? Well, sadly, I have no information on what breed he/she is... Sorry. 🤔 Anyways, let's go back to my review.

• [7th to 19th Images] As I said before, here are the remaining of my OG audio wire from QKZ, completely snapped and chewed by our beloved pet rabbit. Nonetheless, the comparison between my old and new audio wire is completely identical (from the C Pin to the ear hooks, and even the Y-shaped splitter. Not to mention, the material used), almost. 🙂 Because there are notable things that I've found except the yellowish color of the QDC C Pin 🤔, like their controls. [12th & 13th Images] The OG had a single play/pause/call button, while the 'audio wire replacement' had included the volume buttons (alongside the aforementioned one) to prevent reaching our smartphone for adjusting our music sound 🚫✋🎶📲, which is good. 🙂👍 [19th Image] Another one was the missing logo from the new 'audio wire replacement'. Yeah, there's nothing special about it 🤷, since this 'audio wire replacement' had strong compatibility with other IEM brands, not just for QKZ models (like my AK6 Pro), as long as you're using the C Pin variant over other IEM audio pins. 🎶😉

I can't believe I haven't asked this earlier; but have you ever seen a port like this before? A while back I researched everywhere to try and find a replacement for the speakers on this CD player and I'm at a loss when it comes to even finding a name for this type of thing. It's from this brand called AudioLogic which I can find next to nothing about, so I can only assume they're defunct and have been for a long time. One of the speakers is broken, and the other is missing, so unfortunately I can't really demonstrate them actually plugging into this.

I'm not really all that knowledgeable in audio, but those look like JST 2-pin connectors. Given that they say "IMPEDANCE USE 3 OHM", it sounds like they're just being hooked directly up to some speakers. Like, stereo systems like this usually have speaker terminals, but I think they just used JST connectors to make it a little easier to connect.

So you should just be able to get a set of passive speakers, approximately match the impedance, and get some JST connectors to use as speaker wires.

"An Odd Little Thing" (Pt. 13)

It was only mid-morning, and already the degrees were climbing past ninety. The sun burned overhead, beating anyone unlucky enough to be caught in its rays with merciless abandon.

And she, as the only idiot unlucky enough to be caught out in the heat with a jacket zipped up to her neck, was boiling alive.

“Sweaty.” Her robot grumbled from inside her hoodie.

“Oh you’re complaining?” She snapped back. “You’re the one who’s making me wear this!”

Her backpack bounced along, empty and light. It would’ve been the perfect place to carry him, but as always, the robot refused to ride in it.

Every single time…

She raised up her mask and pulled down her goggles as she approached the first trash heaps. For her less glamorous scavenging sites, this was for safety reasons. She wasn’t about to breathe or blink in anything toxic any time soon. But here? In the rich side of the city? That was for a different reason. She didn’t want anyone to see her face as she scrounged around their garbage like a sewer rat. The shame was what kept her from visiting too often; only every couple of weeks or so. She didn’t show up often enough to be considered a nuisance, and the rich folks who lived here refrained from having her arrested on the count of theft, loitering, and public disturbance. It was as civil a relationship as she could ever hope to have.

Besides, for as little as she cared for these trips, they usually rendered her the best components. For those who could afford to replace and throw away rather than fix and make do, it was honestly quite shocking what they considered worthy of throwing away. It was her go-to place for modern parts and high-quality wiring, also fresh tools if she was lucky enough. If she wanted to search for OLI model components, this was the only real place to look.

“Alright, out you go.” She said as she unzipped her jacket. The robot practically hopped out, and she had to scramble to catch it before it could crash onto the ground.

“H-hey! Watch it!”

The robot ignored her. “S-s-s-so we g-gonna look now?”

“That’s the plan.” She set her backpack flat on the ground and sat the robot on top of it. “But first, some rules.”

“R-rules?”

“Yes. Number 1–” She held up a finger. The robot copied her. “Be quiet. We don’t want anyone throwing us out. If you find anything, let me know, but you don’t have to yell. Got it?”

“Yes, yes, yes!” The robot held up a second finger. “Number 2!”

“Number 2–” She continued. “Is simple.”

And without another word she reached into her pocket.

He stared, fully attentive, as the monster pulled out a long roll of red wire from a pocket in her overalls.

“This..” She said. “Is your leash. You don’t take it off, for anything. Got it?”

…L-leash?!

He was so shocked he could hardly twitch as the monster tied the wire round and round his shoulders, and then around his waist, tying it off with thick strong knots. Even then, he couldn’t believe it. A leash. A leash…

…She wasn’t planning on abandoning him here at all!

It was silly to worry about. He’d known it been silly, even when stuck inside her jacket waiting as the garbage grew closer and closer. He hadn’t thought she would, not deeply, especially all the work she’d done on him. But what if he got lost? Or if she forgot him, even though she didn’t mean to? What if he got buried under a pile of trash and couldn’t dig himself out? And what—

“OK, that should be it.” The monster rechecked all the knots, and then tied the other end of the leash to her belt. “That should be plenty of distance for you. Does it feel comfortable?”

He kicked his legs, wiggled his waist, flailed his arms. “Y-yes, yes!”

“Good. You take one side, I’ll take the other. Focus on the trashbags. If you find anything on your radar, dig it out. And don’t go falling into the dumpsters!”

With that, she stuffed two earbuds into her ears and got to work. His audio sensors detected faint music coming from them. He turned as well, activating his scanners.

Top priority: Voice box.

As he opened the first bag, he was suddenly very glad that he did not have a sense of smell.

He’d been so engrossed in his work he almost hadn’t heard it. Two hours, and three different alleys later, the monster had a bag half full of parts for her workshop, and he’d found a new cooling system, several spare limbs if he ever needed them, and best of all, a brand-new–

“Ollie!”

The voice was a hushed, urgent whisper, chillingly familiar. He paused, and then dug deeper into the bag, trying to pretend that maybe if he didn’t hear it, if he didn’t listen, it would go away.

“Ollie, come here?”

And then a hand yanked back his leash until he was dangling in the air.

“Hey, look! You’re all fixed now!”

“Aren’t you cute?!”

He kicked his legs helplessly as he stared into the eyes of his two former masters. One with her hair in two high pigtails, the other in two low ones. That’s how you told them apart. Other than that they were exactly the same in any way.

“OK!, now we got him, let’s get out of here!” One hissed.

Out?

“Don’t!” He cried, kicking his legs harder.

“Oh don’t be such a baby!”

“Come on, help me get this stupid thing off!”

Their fingers swarmed over him, touching and grabbing and reaching as they tried to unwork the knots. He tried to squirm and push, but the grip was too tight. When he pinched at a hand, the hand slapped back.

“Don’t! Don’t!”

But they didn’t stop. They never stopped. They just kept swarming, and the only thing that kept him from getting taken where that the knots tied too tightly. They couldn’t break him out. The monster had kept him…

Monster.

“Monster!” He screamed, as loud as he could. His masters flinched, sharing worried glances first at each other, and then at the figure behind him. His monster. His precious, precious monster, who was so busy she had not noticed anything going on behind her.

“Monster, help!” His voice box peaked with the effort, audio straining and gargling in a vain effort to produce the volume he wanted. The volume he needed. One more final, desperate shriek… and it broke for good. His voice cracked and shattered into garbled static.

No!

He crashed hard on the ground, thrown by one of his masters and stomped for good measure. One of his optics… his fresh, new, expensive optics… cracked anew.

“Now look at what you’ve done! You’re going to–”

He shielded himself from another blow. No. No. It wasn’t going to end like this. His monster was right there.

And she was the only one who could help him now.

As the hands came back down to pick him up again, he dodged, swatting them away. When they tried again. He threw himself on the ground and rolled, like a ball until his legs could work, and when they did, he ran.

“What are you doing?!”

“Come back!”

An order. If he was still theirs… he would’ve obeyed. He would’ve had too, it was built into his very code. But they weren’t… not anymore. Not when their last order was to sit still and let them throw him away. He yanked at his leash as hard as he could, wishing he was stronger, wishing he was heavier, wishing he was big enough to make more of a difference.

But he wasn’t. Not really. Just Ollie. A children’s toy. Useless. Unwanted. Not fun to play with.

But as he crashed into his monster’s leg and yanked her pant leg with enough force to send her stumbling to attention as she yelped out in surprise, just being Ollie was enough.

Vanessa: Wow… this security office is giant!

Vanessa looks around and sees a note on the table.

“Play cassette for instructions”

Vanessa: A cassette? This things are like… prehistoric… I heard that this company likes to cut corners but using a outdated form of audio recording? I think that’s going a bit too far… Oh well.

Vanessa puts the cassette in the cassette player.

Recording: *ring* *ring* Hello? Hello, hello? Uhh, I wanted to record a message for you... to help you get settled in on your first night.

Vanessa: Ok…

Um, I actually worked in that office before you. I’m... finishing up my last week now, as a matter of fact, so... I know it can be a bit overwhelming, but I’m here to tell you: there’s nothing to worry about. Uh, you’ll do fine! So... let’s just focus on getting you through your first week. Okay?

Vanessa: Overwhelming is kinda understatement… There so many security screens for just one person to look at.

Uh, let’s see. First, there’s an introductory greeting from the company that I’m supposed to read. Eh, it’s kind of a legal thing, you know.

Vanessa: Please don’t tell me that I have to remember that…

Um, 'Welcome to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza: a magical place for kids and grown-ups alike, where fantasy and fun come to life.

Vanessa: Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza?!? Isn’t this Freddy’s Mega Pizzaplex? Is this a recording from a old location???

Fazbear Entertainment is not responsible for damage to property or person.

Vanessa: Excuse me… WHAT?

Upon discovery of damage or if death has occurred, a missing person’s report will be filed within ninety days or as soon as property and premises have been thoroughly cleaned and bleached and the carpets have been replaced.' Blah, blah, blah...

Vanessa: Why are you trying to make this sound normal?????

Now that might sound bad, I know.

Vanessa: YOU THINK?!?!?

But there’s really nothing to worry about.

Vanessa:… Sure….

Uh, the animatronic characters here do get a bit quirky at night, but do I blame them? No!

Vanessa: I know that they act kinda human like… but your making it sound like they actually alive.

If I were forced to sing... those same stupid songs for twenty years, and I never got a bath?

Vanessa: Twenty years???

I’d probably be a bit irritable at night too.

Vanessa: Irritable?? What do you mean irritable?!?!?

So remember: these characters hold a special place in the hearts of children, and you need to show them a little respect. Right? Okay.

Vanessa:… They machines…

So just be aware: the characters do tend to wander a bit.

Vanessa: Wander? They walk during the night?

Uhh, they’re left in some kind of "free-roaming mode" at night.

Vanessa: Isn’t it the same thing has the free-roaming from day time??

Uhh... something about their servos locking up if they get turned off for too long.

Vanessa: That makes sense… I think?

Uhh... they used to be allowed to walk around during the day, too,

Vanessa: Used to??? But they still walk…

but then there was the Bite of '87.

Vanessa: the… THE BITE?!?!

Yeah... I-It’s amazing that the human body can live without the frontal lobe, you know?

Vanessa: WAIT WAIT WAIT!!! HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT?!?!

Now concerning your safety: the only real risk to you as a night watchman here, if any, is the fact that these characters, uhh, if they happen to see you after hours, probably won’t recognize you as a person.

Vanessa: AGAIN… WHAT!!!

Th-They’ll most likely see you as a metal endoskeleton without its costume on.

Vanessa: Oh… so they won’t hurt me?

Now, since that’s against the rules here at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, they’ll probably try to... forcefully stuff you inside a Freddy Fazbear suit.

Vanessa: WHAT?!?!?

Um, now that wouldn’t be so bad if the suits themselves weren’t filled with crossbeams, wires, and animatronic devices, especially around the facial area. So you can imagine how having your head forcefully pressed inside one of those could cause a bit of discomfort... and death.

Vanessa: DEATH?!?!

Uh, the only parts of you that would likely see the light of day again would be your eyeballs and teeth when they pop out the front of the mask, heh.

Vanessa: HOW DO YOU KNOW THIS?!?!?

...Y-Yeah, they don’t tell you these things when you sign up...

Vanessa: NO SHIT!!!

But hey! First day should be a breeze; I’ll chat with you tomorrow. Uhh, check those cameras, and remember to close the doors only if absolutely necessary. Gotta conserve power. Alright. Goodnight.

Vanessa: … What did he mean by conserve power?!?!?

Vanessa: Vanessa calm down… this is just a stupid joke… they are just trying to prank you… the animatronics aren’t alive and trying to kill you… that’s just dumb…

Glamrock Bonnie: Hello new security guard!!!

Vanessa: AHHHHH!!!!! (Closes door in front of Bonnie)

Glamrock Bonnie: … What a nice talk. She so nice. :)

I love how this implies Fazbear entertainment just used old tape recording since they either took lazy or don't care to update any about ten security office.

me with my wireless headphones waiting for my wired ones to come because the whole battery thing is kinda tedious

Good god SOMEONE GETS IT!!! I also hate having to remember to charge or put batteries in headphones. I want to listen to things at any given moment. I don’t wanna wait for things to charge.

List of other wired headphones plus sides-

- I cannot count how many times wired headphones have saved my phone from completely falling on the floor, and making it more shattered it is

- It helps me remember my phone since I am physically tethered to it and cant just get up from somewhere and leave it without noticing

- If you have a detachable aux cord for your phone you can connect your phone to a car without having to wait for bluetooth to load

- or you can connect your headphones to a computer without having to wait for the bluetooth options to load.

- i have personally found the audio quality of wired headphones to be better than bluetooth headphones or earbuds

- headphones in general are just more comfortable than earbuds ill die on that goddamn hill. (You also don’t have to clean earwax/skin oils off of them just sayin)

- the wired headphones I currently use have outlived every bluetooth headphone I’ve used by a few years and I’ve only had to replace the wire.

- a headphone’s wire is basically just a built in fidget toy.

The only downside I can think of for wired headphones is that they get annoying to wear if you’re running or exercising, or just generally doing something that requires a lot of movement, but I’ve adapted by just putting the cord over my shoulder and through the belt loops of my pants.
