Ok I've been thinking a lot about Saw (2004) since I watched it a few days ago, so here's a post about it:
Some duos I want to see in the bathroom trap (and how well I think they'd do)
Tumblr media
Starting off strong- Marty and Rust from True detective (season 1).
Marty would do anything to save his daughters and Maggie, and meanwhile Rust and his existential dread would be going crazy. Would they survive? Probably. Rust is smart enough (and insane enough) to find his way out, and Marty might cut off his foot after a phone call from Maggie.
Tumblr media
Marcus and Kevin from White chicks.
They would survive, no questions asked.
Tumblr media
Christopher and Paulie from the Sopranos
Would they survive? Absolutely not. Not in a million years. Would it be hilarious to watch? Yes it would.
Paulie does get a bit crazy at times, I can see him cutting off his foot after a few hours, and lying to Chris about the clues he's getting. Christopher would absolutely shove his hand in the toilet bowl instead of checking under the lid first. And he would try to rip out the metal pipes with his bare hands.
Tumblr media
Antoine and Leonard from Ne nous fâchons pas.
This may be a niche reference especially for non-french people, but I would love to see anyone trapped in a room with Leonard for six hours straight. Would they survive? Fuck if I know, but I wanna see them try
Tumblr media
Larry and Freddy from Reservoir dogs.
Larry finding out through the phone call that Freddy knows him, that he's a cop and was trying to get him arrested when he got kidnapped? Them collaborating so well at first and really doing everything they can to get out? Freddy still being so scared of death and Larry comforting him? Sign me the fuck up.
Would they survive? Nope. They're doomed by the narrative
Tumblr media
Veronica and JD from Heathers
Mr. Manipulator JD would be really dangerous in the bathroom trap and would genuinely fuck with Veronica at first. I think ultimately she'd shoot him and win the game.
Tumblr media
Another french movie, Hubert and Larmina from OSS 117 le Caire nid d'espion.
Would they survive? Larmina yes, Hubert no. But I think they'd be the kind to accidentally find out the guy in the middle was alive. Hubert would get really offended by the nature of the game and would yell at the camera. He would also be too busy bitching about how dirty the place is while Larmina would be figuring a way to get out.
Tumblr media
Guildenstern and Rosencrantz from Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead
My head is aching just imagining the conversations they'd hold during those 6 hours. "Do you remember how you got here?" "We were sent for!"
Just like in the movie, Rosencrantz would find all kinds of clues that would help them get out, but Guildenstern would somehow miss all of them or not believe any of them. Would they survive it? I don't think so, but if one of them had to, it would be Guildenstern who shot Rosencrantz

I’m going to be real with y’all. I don’t know shit about what goes on F1 Twitter these days because I decided to peace out of that awhile ago.
But I just now fucking learned of the fucking audacity of these pitstop podcast mf’ers.
And you must be fucking joking me.
I am so fucking tired of men getting a free pass to be ignorant and misogynist about sports and women are always tested as fans of sport. Women constantly made to prove they “know” the sport.
The fact that THESE are the people that get attention and invites to F1 things while people think women watch their sport for looks.
Who insult F2 IN FRONT OF A DRIVER THAT NEARLY DIED IN F2 AND LOST A FRIEND IN THE SAME INCIDENT? They’re garbage, trash, no one should pay any attention to them. The blatant disrespect to Juan Manuel Correa to his face? Absolutely fucking not. And Antoine Hubert’s F2 teammate was Tatiana Calderon.
Anyone who bothered to do TWO SECONDS of research would know what happened to Juan and Antoine and have some semblance of human decency. They should be ashamed.
How stupid are they that they think women would watch hours of content for hot men in HELMETS.
I am so fucking tired of men thinking women only watch sports for hot guys. I’m sorry no man is that attractive that I’m going to learn a whole damn sport for him.
Women control so much buying and viewing power on sports these days, that if collectively we all decided to stop giving them views and money? Let’s see how long it would last.
Male sports, but in this case specifically F1, are so fucking ignorant of things that could actually grow and expand their sport that they will drive their sports into the ground.
If you don’t think I would drop F1 for a female pro series that was given equal funding and coverage? You’re absolutely wrong.
Stop giving garbage white men a platform. And don’t give them a second chance.

What did the pit stop boys say
they said that nobody cares about the racing in F1/F2 and everyone just cares about the reality tv show aspect of the sport & the lives of the sportsmen (which they’re catagorizing a VERY small minority of fans into a larger group). they said they didn’t know who juan correa was TO HIS FACE and were so beyond disrespectful it was a joke! (for reference; juan correa got into a HORRIBLE crash with antoine hubert that killed antoine & juan has been in recovery for the last 3 years i think?)
they said nobody cares about the racing aspect, nobody cares where drivers end up in the championship and it pissed a lot of people off. they were primarily talking about F2, which has a higher percentage of female viewers than male viewers, suggesting that women don’t care about the driving but care about the way the drivers look. they kept digging at female racing fans and it’s pathetic.
i’ve had an issue with the screaming meals podcast ever since they asked lissie mckintosh who the most attractive F1 driver was, but kept it to myself because lissie handled it like a boss and everyone brushed it under the carpet.
the pitstop boys created their podcast as new viewers of F1 for new viewers of F1 and so many people do not like it. they have been handed every opportunity on a plate, interviewing will buxton and david croft, getting invited to races & getting opportunities to interview drivers, yet female F1 influencers like mikaela, tori, lydia get fuck all. and they are constantly (particularly mikaela) ALWAYS justifying their reasoning for being fans because men don’t like it.
it’s a fucking joke.

What is [Charles'] attitude on the track and in the paddock? Paolo de Conto: He's a quiet, correct boy, he doesn't make big mistakes and he's nice. In the paddock I don't know since we are under two different structures and it's hard to get an idea. Dorian Boccolacci: In the paddock, he doesn't go out a lot, he often stays within his structure. He must surely want to be calm to concentrate on his race. On the track, he is very fast and very fair play. This is a good thing. Jérémy Iglésias: In the paddock he's a little boy of 15-16, very nice, but on the track he's an aggressive driver who knows how to defend himself and command respect. Anthony Hubert: On the track, he's pretty legit. I never had too much trouble with him, to say the least, even though we often fought for championships. But it always went well. Valentin Moineault: I think he's a driver who doesn't have a lot of problems with others. As Antoine said, he was always legit. Ben Barnicoat: In the race, I think he is very aggressive, especially at the start. He is really very good at this exercise. He is very aggressive during the first laps. I think in the paddock, Charles is a really fun guy. He is sometimes very angry when things don't go well on the track, but he is still a very good friend.
For Charles' 16th birthday, CLF asks some fellow karters about their Monegasque friend. source: "Joyeux Anniversaire Charles !" by charles-leclerc-fans.com series: 2013, karting

May not be the time to ask but…drop the rant? 👀
im legit just gonna copy and paste it from the message but just know it is disgustingly cliche and cringey
*and for those who don’t gaf i will put a cut so ignore if you wish*
first of all it was at monza, a really special circuit not only for pierre cause it was AT (alpha tauri’s) home race but also because monza is the circuit of dreams really, its where the circuit where things you don’t expect to happen, happen, where charles won in 2019 in front of home fans and was known as il predestinato, where daniel ricciardo won in 2021 after the roughest stint in mclaren and getting their first win since 2012, where kimi got his first pole since 2017 in 2018, breaking the previous circuit record time.
secondly, pierre gasly is a red bull junior project, he made his debut in 2017 in the torro rosso (now called VCARB, was called alpha tauri), and was promoted to red bull in 2019. he had a difficult time and was demoted just before the 2019 belgian gp, where he lost his best friend in an F2 race, Anthoine Hubert. he lost his best friend and his seat in the space of a few days. and rumours are, the last message anthoine said to him was “prove them wrong”
charles ended up winning the belgian gp, who was also close friends with antoine, and went onto win in monza which gave us the “he won in spa, he wins in monza” commentary.
pierre was now driving for alpha tauri, which was torro rosso rebranded and now is VCARB, he got first podium at the 2019 brazil gp, and finally, got his first win at monza 2020.
he had proved red bull wrong.
there were no fans in attendance, it was just him and anthoine, on the podium together and you see him after every one had left just sitting on the podium, and i think the image of the confetti around him is one of the best in f1. it was such an emotional victory, he’d done it for anthoine, he proved he could do it. he was the first frenchman to win in 24 years. this was the first race to not have a top three team on the podium in 8 years, to have a different team on each step in 8 years too. every driver on the podium couldve gotten their first win that day.
every year since anthoine’s death he’s go to the spot on the track and place flowers, on the track walk alongside the driver who had also gotten in the crash with anthoine.
lastly, pierre was one of the drivers who i was really drawn to when i first properly started watching f1, so it just kinda hits harder.

Jesus Christ, I hope it's a quote taken very out of context and that the journalist framed his response that way in order to bring Max into it but Jesus Christ what the fuck!
I adore Seb but it's not his place, it's not anyone's place to discuss Max's or anyone else's childhood or upbringing. It has never been anyone's place to do so. The only people who should talk about it are the people involved. We hear stories about what it was like, Max and his family lived it. Given how private Max, his mother and sister are, we'll likely never know the full truth. We are not owed or entitled to the full truth. It's not our place to speculate, we do not have the right to discuss and access another person's private life like they're characters on a tv show. It's not our right to breach their privacy.
And it's not just Max the media and the fandom does this to, Mick's been facing it since birth and it escalated considerably after Michael's accident, some of you forget that Jules Bianchi and Antoine Hubert were living breathing real people and choose to obsess over how their deaths affected Charles and Pierre (as well as the other drivers they knew and were close to), like I could keep going, there's plenty of examples. As a whole the media and the fandom need to have a hard look on their morals.

Idk for boy twin! Gasly I can see Antoine but also Barthélémy or Théodore, I don't know why.
i could definitely see théodore as well (ironically that's what i want to name my future son LOL)! the only reason i think anthoine would be the go to is bc of anthoine hubert and pierre wanting to memorialize him tbh
