Ok I watched the leaked episodes

Let’s start with the positives! I love positives!

- Alex Brightman put his whole Alexussy into this shit oh my god, Pentious and Adam actually sound really good. Adam singing is also really really good. Alex can sing in character and carry things well and I’m glad now he’s part of the project. Because at least it’ll be bearable if I see the other episodes.

-Vox is actually weirdly really compelling? Like I actually ended up enjoying the vibe he’s got and his own voice grew on me, I know it’s not what people wanted but it works well.

-Nifty’s voice is pretty ok, so is Charlie’s. They’re some of the better voices of the cast, Alastor’s performance was uh. It wasn’t bad so there’s that!

-the opening exposition was needed but also a bit hamfisted- wait shit the positives- uh, I love the direction it went? Art wise?

-the songs are pretty good, they get you from point A to point B, and at least wasn’t Poison levels of cringe in writing.

-Charlie actually helping Pentious in episode 2 try to repent and be a better person actually feels nice, like a crumb of what the show should of be-

…

Ok let’s get to the point.

-the episodes clearly are trying to shove as much of the plot as humanly possible, to the point that you get whiplash.

-Angel Dust, Vaggie, Valentino, Husk all have voices that either do not fit, crack from the pressure to perform, or are trying so hard to mimic the previous voice that it’s actually worrying. The Angel dust one in particular I’ll get to when I get to the point.

-The plot starts with the main antagonist, literally telling Charlie that her plan is pointless and she should give up. There’s no actual “I want” song to counter this, unless you count the song where Adam mocks her for trying and tells her the exterminations will happen twice a year now.

-Pentious at least wasn’t a creep like i was fearing in the script, but he comes off too pathetic? Like I know he was pathetic and that’s the point but why the fuck does he want to be equal to the Vees now? Didn’t he want to rule over hell himself? I know the instagram had him crop himself into pictures with the Vees but remember those aren’t canon!

-I realized I was able to hop in because I had Wikipedia level knowledge of these characters to the point they click in my head (and enough to where Alastor, Charlie, Vaggie and Husk all felt a little off but that’s neither here nor there). But god I cannot imagine being a new person trying to jump into this show, this is bad. None of the characters get actually introduced outside of Charlie, the show references the pilot which isn’t part of the show so new audiences have no idea what they’re talking about, and the staff gets actually introduced in episode 2. EPISODE 2, TO PENTIOUS!? GIRLIE POP HAVE HIM COME EPISODE 1 THEN?

-Animation that’s either too floaty, too janky, too stiff or straight up traced. Which I don’t blame the animators for, Mammon was busy buying 10,000 dollars worth of peacocks to bother paying them more than a dollar per frame. There’s no charm here.

-Where did the fucking cat key come from? No I’m serious. Where did it come from? It just kinda exists now.

-Alastor’s commercial is just straight up MEAN and he’s often more mean than chaotic, which I know is ironic since he wasn’t a good person and I wasn’t expecting him to be but it’s to a point where it’s not even fun mean. He literally called Charlie’s endeavor “Daddy issues”. It felt like he was just there to slap Charlie in the face.

-Angel Dust rant is gonna be so long that I saved it for last.

I have to put it under the read more because of talk of SA! Fun!

Ok.

I’m saying this as someone who loved him from the pilot and was willing to excuse his behavior as “flaws he can work on” since Addict and everything else proved that there was more under the surface and he was a character that could change and grow and-

Angel dust, the rape victim… the guy running away from his abuser…

The Angel dust who has traumatic episodes so fucking graphic that he flashes back to them when he’s performing.

Saying “yeah no, fucking sexually exploit me! It turns me on!”

Viv, I know you’re not reading this but I mean this genuinely.

Fuck you.

As someone who’s family has experienced sexual abuse, as someone who’s family still has CPTSD because men in power decide to exploit them… how fuckin dare you make a character enjoy their own exploitation.

This isn’t me kink shaming a sexual character! He can be sexual and like sex! It’s never been the problem and hell it could of been liberation to have sex he deserves.

But no.

Let’s make the SA victim into the sexual harassment character, let’s make the SA victim the Stolas of the show where he wears down his love interest so thin that they have to give up.

Let’s make the SA victim still work under his shitty abuser, and make that into a joke as the abuser mentions wanting to rape everyone in the hotel.

Don’t pay to watch this show, I mean it.

Hell don’t even watch it, find something better to watch. I’ve been binging anime as of late and I still like captain lazerhawk.

Hazbin Hotel characters longing for you.

Pairing: Charlie Morningstar, Vaggie, Angel Dust, Husk, Sir Pentious, Alastor, Lucifer Morningstar, Adam, Vox, Valentino, Velvette x GN! Reader

Warnings: Implied breakup, Stalking, Just all around angst

Charlie will hangout with her friends to get your mind off you. This strategy works for a little while, until she starts to notice small bits of your personality in them. All the little things pile up and it brings down her mood, causing her stay away from her friends as to not get reminded.

"Sorry guys, can't hangout today, not feeling the greatest."

Vaggie will bottle up all her emotions and avoid everyone. But, being all alone causes her to start thinking about you more. All the happy memories you created together. Laughs and smiles shared. Vulnerable venting sessions that ended in cuddles. She won't be able to scrape you from her mind and end up crying angry tears.

"Why... after everything we've been through! Why.. why did you leave me..?"

Angel Dust will probably be too distracted with work to think about you. But of course he misses you and wishes to have you back. If he ever does get time to just sit and think about you, his insecurities will get the best of him and he'll think your better off without him.

"Maybe.. they're better off. More happier without me.."

Husk will drown himself in alcohol like he always does. Silently doing his job. It wasn't much of a change to most of the others. Sometimes, out of the corner of his eye, he'll see your figure. He shivers every time he realizes you're not actually there.

"Must be the alcohol makin' me see shit..."

Sir Pentious will lay awake at night thinking about you. It doesn't help that his eggs will keep bringing stuff up about you. He doesn't want to think about you, but he just can't get you out of his head. He wishes to see you one last time before he lets you go.

"I haven't asked for much. Please, just let me see them again."

Alastor will convince himself that he was perfectly able to go on with his afterlife before he met you, so he can definitely do it after you left. Although, that's a lie, because he misses your presence everyday. Even if he doesn't want to admit it, he goes over your daily schedule before you left in his head and goes to the places you used to frequent.

"I am perfectly capable all on my own."

Lucifer will dream about you every night after you leave. He'll dream about all the good times you had together. Your smile and your laugh. His dreams are so realistic that when he wakes up it takes him a minute to remember you left.

"Right.. they left.. but, my dream was so.. real.."

Adam will kinda stalk you, justifying it as protection. Whenever he sees you hanging out with another angel, though, envy will fill his veins. Even if he knows it's one of your friends, he'll still get jealous.

"You were supposed to hangout with me, not this fucking nobody."

Vox will also very much stalk you with his cameras. Nervously searching his screens whenever you leave your house. He just wants to know where you are, and that you're safe.

"My sweet would never have to worry about their safety again."

Valentino will check your past messages 50 times a day. He's just itching to text you, but if he does you might block him, and then he'll lose your conversations forever. He might throw his phone in frustration.

"God fucking damn it!"

Velvette will regularly check your social media for any updates from you. If you do post something new, expect her to be one of the first to like it.

“The Archer” Angel Dust Analysis

A/n: ALRIGHT YALL❣️ it’s been a hot minute (literally a whole month lol rip☠️) but I have FINALLY written this and am ready to share it with everyone!🤩 So I’m a huge Swiftie and I absolutely love Angel😭💕 so listening to this song: “The Archer” instantly made me think of him. I think the lyrics really highlight how his experiences with love have shaped the complexities of his true feelings and while we still have so much more to discover about his and Husk’s developing relationship in the show, I truly think that this song just “screams” them. If you haven’t listened to the song before, I definitely recommend to!😊 Anyway, lez get into it!😎

I think this author did an excellent job at explaining the real message of the song in regards to Taylor’s life, but this analysis is solely based on my OWN interpretation of how Angel’s character fits this song. Okay so, with these first few lines, we can think about how much Angel has been through, both in life and death. Like anyone else, he’s made mistakes and fought with many people he’s cared about before, whether that be with his birth family (ex: Arackniss, Molly) or his newfound family/friends he’s made at the hotel later on (ex: Charlie, Husk, Niffty, Sir Pentious, etc). But in terms of his actual familial background, Angel was born and raised in the mafia, meaning he’s used to seeing the indescribable horrors and violence associated with that lifestyle. He has no choice but to conjure up this metaphorical shield of “armor” in order to not only protect himself but also, survive. This ultimately makes it very difficult for Angel to form and develop good, healthy relationships, whether that’d be platonic or romantic, because as much as he craves genuine love and affection, isn’t that going against everything he’s known? To not care about what anyone thinks of him because at the end of the day, everyone leaves regardless? Angel Dust is a perfect example of being conditioned to this toxic, negative mindset he’s built for himself every day and we especially see more of this when it comes to his work with Valentino.

Now Angel is a celebrity, the most famous porn star in all of hell. Of course, due to his natural charisma and good looks, all eyes are drawn to him. He’s expected to essentially “put on a show” and show off what he’s “good for” because who could resist the seductive, charming Angel Dust? But that’s the cruel irony behind it all. Angel’s perception of his pornstar persona overshadows the reality of his true self, which makes it easy for him to push people away and not let anyone see the real him. He’s bred to allow people to chase after him, lust after him, because that’s the embodiment of who Angel Dust is, not who Anthony is. Angel Dust doesn’t care if people “leave” him because he knows that one way or another, there’s always someone else who will appreciate him for his “talents”, who will shower him with the desire and attention he so desperately seeks, despite it being superficial. But Anthony? No one knows who that is nor anyone would care to know who Anthony is in Angel’s mind, so rather than reveal his true thoughts, he decides to remain silent and keep them hidden from the public view as a way to protect himself.

Now, these second set of lyrics go a little more in-depth about Angel’s personal life and relationships. The first line expresses how easily he attracts people and yet still drives them away. The second one, however, can be explored through both a platonic and a romantic perspective. In a platonic lens, Angel struggles with making real, genuine friends (other than Cherri) because he’s afraid no one will be interested to get to know him. The same thing can be said in a romantic point of view. Angel loves to flirt, yes, but with his pornstar persona, he over-amplifies it and makes it seem like he’s “on board” in the beginning, but in the slightest sense of any seriousness or vulnerability, he “jumps off”, going his own way because he knows he’s unable to commit. This third line takes a look into how Angel is associated with being the “black sheep” of his family. Despite his somewhat childish nature, Angel’s always causing trouble and has never been the more focused, responsible type like his older brother: Arackniss. But due to these specific family dynamics, this shows how Angel feels like he’s never taken seriously with his true self. And because of that, he doesn’t understand how to grow and mature enough as a person to handle long-term relationships. The last line here can be portrayed as Angel’s inner thoughts and feelings towards his future love interest in the series: Husk. Angel is so used to giving up and running away from the idea of real love because of his own sexual abuse and trauma from Valentino. But throughout his whole afterlife, Husk is the only good man who respects and values Angel for who he truly is and despite how nice yet unfamiliar that feeling is, Angel’s terrified of losing it. Therefore, these lyrics can imply how he’s pleading for Husk to help him stay grounded and focus on exploring and pursuing this new relationship with him.

Who could ever leave me, darling? But who could stay?

In the chorus, we can start to see the lyrics become even more personified towards Angel’s life. He’s been hurt by so many people, yet he’s also his own worst enemy because he’s done the same thing to those who he cares about too, ultimately straining or damaging the relationships as a whole. He wonders why no one would want to stay in his life, but deep down, he knows that he doesn’t make it easy for people to love him either. So in order to change that, he needs to believe in himself and trust that he can make a positive effort towards becoming better.

Dark side, I search for your dark side

But what if I’m all right, right, right, right here?

And I cut off my nose just to spite my face

Then hate my reflection, for years and years

Within the next verse, we can connect back to how Angel’s toxic mindset has made a profound impact on himself and his relationships. There’s a big part of him that’s always subconsciously searching for the negative aspects of letting people into his life, and that in itself, is what overpowers his psyche into not recognizing and acknowledging the positive facets as well. These next few lines can be referenced to how he strives to maintain his pornstar persona. The whole concept of Angel Dust is for him to be as appealing and desirable to everyone no matter what because that’s what the public likes to see. But unfortunately, what Angel doesn’t comprehend is that he doesn’t need to overemphasize this “mask” of his because the real, genuine people in his life (such as Molly, Charlie, Cherri, Husk, etc.) love and accept him for who he is internally rather than externally. This lack of understanding can also drive him to act impulsive with his emotions and lash out towards the people he deeply cares about, thereby causing him to feel hatred towards himself and regret the decisions he’s made later on.

The metaphorical meaning behind these next lyrics can connect to how empty and restless Angel feels when he’s by himself. We know that he suffers intense nightmares and drug hallucinations from Valentino, but in this next line: “The room is on fire, invisible smoke”, this allows us to dive deeper into his inner troubles and the emotional turmoil and chaos he’s experiencing from it. He’s known to “burn bridges” and “start fires” with others because like I stated previously, he believes everyone will leave him eventually, so as a result, he shuts people out as a way to cope with this depression and loneliness, knowing that it’s still his fault.

Screaming, who could ever leave me, darling? But who could stay?

Here we have the main chorus again, but what’s different is that the word “screaming” is used. This allows us to really see and feel the intensity behind Angel’s emotions. It can almost be viewed as if he’s “crying out for help” and begging for someone, ANYONE, to reach out and stay there with him.

This next sequence of lyrics is pretty self-explanatory, especially regarding Angel’s famous reputation. Based upon his story arc so far, the internal struggles and hardships Angel has faced throughout life and death have definitely taken a toll on him. Even though he aims to portray this glamorous, charming pornstar personality, characters like Husk can see right through Angel pretty easily and have no issue in calling him out for how fake he’s being. This not only makes Angel very hyper-aware of his mask “slipping away”, but also adds on an extra layer of anxiety and panic he’s feeling from losing control of that facade.

The first line here is a clear reference to the nursery rhyme, Humpty Dumpty, but the next few lines are what really emphasize Angel’s character even more. Angel is not an easy guy to get along with. He knows he can be an asshole and because of that, he’s made many enemies who could’ve potentially stayed as friends in his life if he didn’t push them away. But that doesn’t make him feel as if he’s alone right? After all, Angel Dust is fulfilled with receiving “love” from clients, fans, and Valentino all the time, so that has to mean something, right? This particular mindset is what fuels Angel to continue craving that form of infatuation and attention because it’s what he surrounds himself with every day. However, once that “high” dies down, who does he have waiting there for him at home? No one, because in reality, he IS alone and that terrifies him even more due to the fact that he’s the reason behind these self-destructive tendencies.

Combat, I’m ready for combat

These final lines of the song play a significant role in how Angel’s perspective on love can change for the future. Like I’ve said prior, Angel has never had anyone show real, genuine interest in him before, that is, until he met Husk. Husk has made it very clear in the beginning that he doesn’t like putting up with anyone’s bullshit. While his gruff, no-nonsense exterior may be off-putting to others, Angel is very attracted to how real Husk is in expressing how he feels and that is exactly the kind of person Angel needs in his life right now. Over some time throughout the series so far, we start to see a closer relationship develop between the two as well, how fond and comfortable they are of each other. This scares Angel because like all of his other relationships and his current predicament with Valentino, he’s afraid that Husk will voluntarily leave or be taken away from him forever. So in order to avoid that, Angel is determined to do everything he can to keep Husk a permanent part of his life.

Overall, Angel is well aware that he’s not an easy person to love, but with Husk, he feels as if he could be the one to truly understand and accept him for who he is. That maybe, and hopefully, Husk will be the one to stay for good❤️

Angel Dust Redesign! (7/7)

FINALLY I AM DONE WITH THE MAIN 7 FREAKS.

Depending how I feel I might throw in some bonuses but these guys are your only guarantees! Going to be posting the full lineup separately because I don’t want to clutter this post!!

God okay where to start. I was talking about them in Husk’s post so let’s go with that. Angel’s clothing restrictions are his necklace and shoes. I might go on a bit of a tangent with this so forgive me 💔

For the necklace let me get this out of the way: yes it is a BDSM thing! I’m terrified people are going to take this as me being a weirdo but please as an adult content creator give me some space to explain before anyone jumps on me and hits me with a metal pipe. The intentions behind symbolism matter HEAVILY. I am against Vivzie’s portrayal of Angel’s abuse and the chain/collar imagery because it is blatantly either her being incredibly uncreative or her inserting her kinks into her shows. I think it is completely fine to use suggestive items in this way as long as the intentions are clear and not just there for no reason.

I would’ve probably done something else like a corset as a restriction, but I’d like to stop being so shy about Angel’s actual job. He is a pornstar and removing that outward aspect of him is taking a big chunk of his character away. I need more people to acknowledge that Angel enjoys sex and actively wanted to explore this side of himself. With the slip chain however, I would also like to portray how things Angel enjoys in his job have been used against him and made him come to resent what he does when he is forced into it. I think thats a pretty understandable thing to show.

This is harder to explain but the gist of it is just don’t be afraid to acknowledge Angel’s job. It’s okay to use sexual things as metaphors. Have you heard any christian song ever/hj

Alright with that out of the way, with the shoes. Angel’s feet are a large insecurity and discomfort of his which already makes his shoes some sort of restriction on their own, however if controlled, they can be made to stumble forward, fall over, etc. I wanted to show how Angel has freedom to go mostly wherever he pleases, though once again, that free will can be taken away very quickly.

I hated his suit so all suiting is gone entirely. He’s supposed to look attractive or eye catching at the very least. I’ve also added back the outer fangs he had in my first redesign!

I am much happier with the new one in comparison to this old guy. I know it’s only a few months old but you can really see how differently I draw him and the details I pay attention to more like the shape of his hair. Aside from the old one! I wanted Angel himself to still keep the reddish pink to show wrath and destain being masked as lust, except now his clothing is actually the pinkish-purple lust colour and it covers more eye grabbing parts of his body like the chest, hands, hips, and so on.

I don’t think I’ve ever outwardly mentioned Angel having polycoria but he does and it’s probably my favourite feature to draw aside from his hair. About the hair and fur: Angel used to have spots and basic stripes before his contract with Valentino, where afterwards they began to curl into their cordiform shapes. Most physical overlord changes with hair and skin tend to not go away, so depending on who you make a contract with it’s either a fun perk or a sort of scar.

Once again, not sure if I will be continuing with anymore in this specific lineup, but if I do end up posting more of these I really hope you like those too! 💣

I'm currently looking at Lucifer and wondering how exactly he's going to develop in the whole plot of Hazbin. Not necessarily PLOT development (example: getting past Lilith, getting closer to Charlie, etc.), more like personality traits that are either going to be revealed or developed overtime.

(Okay this got a lot longer than I expected, so um... here's a read more lol. I guess this is a sort of character development inference...?)

I really like the idea that every character in Hazbin has good and bad traits, despite being in Heaven or Hell. For example, we have Angel Dust. He's a nice person, but he does have problems opening up to people (understandable given his past), as well as giving into bad vices and pushing people away. So, we've seen Lucifer's tendencies of neglecting to connect with others, but being a good person and genuinely wanting connections, especially with his daughter.

HOWEVER, I am interested in whether or not they are going to do anything with the fact that he is the Sin of Pride. I've seen a few mention how the other Sins we've seen are a bit of the opposite of their sin. Ozzie is the Sin of Lust, but unlike how a lot of people would probably view the embodiment of lust, he values consent and can make genuine romantic connections. Queen Bee is Gluttony, but does care that people at her party do not overindulge to the point that they get hurt.

However, for many of the Sins so far, they do engage with their sins in their own way. Ozzie still does indulge in lust, just while caring for every party's consent (thank God he's not a Valentino. We love that for Ozzie). Queen Bee does indulge in vices like drinking and partying to what could be seen as a negative extent, with what seems to be her limit being that no one gets hurt. Otherwise, it seems to be fair game for her.

So, for Lucifer, I'm loving how we all see him as a total Smol Bean. So far, he is a total Smol Bean. However, I'm totally anticipating SOMETHING that might be like... a bombshell for our depressed blorbo's character. Specifically, that something may be a few prideful/narcissistic tendencies coming through. Like him trying to get more attention on himself, now that he's finally taken a step out of his workshop and gotten some attention from not only his daughter, but her friends.

He may not be like "YO I'M FUCKING AWESOME GUYS LOOK AT ME" sorta prideful, but maybe more of a "Guys I'm so awful and I feel horrible and I have so many problems give me comfort" sorta... well, not really prideful, but more so manipulative and attention seeking. Possibly without even knowing it, either, considering how him and Charlie seem similar in being well meaning so far. So, if he does development a sort of manipulative tendency in order to get attention towards him, he may not even realize that's what is happening. He might just think "I feel bad and have to complain. After all, I know my family and her friends can help cheer me up!"

I think it'd be pretty interesting, at least. Like, so far, Lucifer is the complete opposite of what you'd expect the Sin of Pride to be. He's depressed, self-conscious, and has probably been isolating himself from everybody that COULD give him attention for years. However, much like the other Sins are still the embodiment of what they represent, he's still the Sin of Pride. He probably still engages, or will develop ways to engage in traits you'd see in pride. So, him using his pre-existing traits, whether unintentionally or not, to get attention would be interesting to see. It'd still keep a lot of his character together while showing that he can still have flaws that are unlikeable. (It'd probably also put into perspective Charlie's line about him only really when he's bored or needs Charlie to do something. Like, it could be that he just isn't good at talking to people, including Charlie, but it could also be linked to his identity as the Sin of Pride if his personality does go this route).

Character Study Angel Dust and Valentino Relationship

This will be a post will be a look on Vizepop’s newest music video for Hazbin Hotel “addict as well as a deep dive of Angel Dust and Valentino Relationship!

Alright full disclosure Hazbin Hotel is an adult cartoon meant for a mature audience and the subject matter is very dark despite it’s cheery outlook so if you’re very sensitive to this type of subject or under age please think before you watch the video and also this post will contain dark subject matter on abuse as well. Okay with all that out of the way please enjoy it’s review time!

First of all this music video is incredible but what’s even more amazing is the character building for Angel Dust and for Valentino. It shows how toxic and abusive Val is to Angel but it showcase his friendship with Cherri. At the start of the dance Angel's face is not just looking towards the audience, he's clearly looking at someone specifically, in the audience making. Especially with that hair flip he does. He’s doing this for someone one... and then we get a fantastic cut away to Valentino and it is bone chilling.

He’s doing this for Val he wants to be special to him; the way Val’s sun glasses frame Angel silhouette shows how he’s trapped because wants to be loved by him. It should also be noted during this part of the song “I think I deserve some praise...” Also alludes how starved for affection Angel Dust is and wants that praise from Val specifically. But this is how Val keeps Angel Dust under his control in a sense of that he’ll receive it if he’s “good” and does what he says. We get more symbolism of this when Valentino blows smoke towards Angel Dust. And it’s in the shape of a heart that’s being blown towards Angel and is wrapped around him.

In a sense he’s kind of blowing Angel a kiss...

Not only that but the fact that it’s smoke also shows how fickle Val’s love is for Angel Dust is. It can disappear and go away at any moment, and that’s why Angel so desperate and tries so hard to obtain it. And the way the smoke wraps around Angel shows Val’s love it’s more like a chain and leash. Though it makes us wonder “why does he love Val”, and how did he end up working for him. Though we actually get an answer during his song Angel Dust when starts he sings about his past and how he got to hell.

This scene in the when Angel Dust sings “Despite having overdose and ending up coma-toasted...” giving backstory on how Angel dust died. From Vivziepop (and the Hazbin Hotel wiki) we know he has comes from a Mafia family and has a bad relationship with most of his family members (who are in hell). Which may have been the reason why he started doing drugs (so he had a rough life). Initial he looks distraught and saddened about mentioning but it’s only when the smoke wraps around him and point his towards Val he smiles continues to “...I don’t give a damn~” locks eyes on to Val which cuts away to Val wickedly smiling being very pleased.

What this sequence tells us is Angel while being very sad about his past he doesn’t care about it now because he has Val; he made him forgot about his sorrows! Right there is where we have our answer, he views as his savior. It implies that Valentino maybe the one that found Angel Dust and “saved him” but in reality to take advantage of him in a weakened state. That’s why Val has an evil grin when he hears Angel sing that, he knows this and as long as he has that card to play he’ll always have a reason to have Angel stay. Which is a real thing an actually abuser does; they use things they’ve done for you as a trump card when there is an argument or guilt trip you into staying with them or forgiving them. Maybe the reason he has stayed with Val for so long...

Why does he seem unimpressed...

I don’t want to go over every piece of lyrics but he basically goes on singing he gives up on the idea of trying to be good and sober accepting that this is his the rest of his life. Ready and very willing live his live like this as he is now to gestures out to Valentino “your playing with now til the end of the night” as he looks confused to this (I’ll get to why I pointed this out). Willing to live on this “heaven and hell high” going on to sing “ he’s addicted to the madness...”and then it then flashes to him in a crying being comforted by Cherri in his room. I believe this is a flash forward after the show when Angel went home. It is clear he’s sad but also angry at himself... Not only that but Valentino may have done something awful to him...

Earlier I pointed out he was gesturing to Valentino because he’s willing to give Val everything because Angel actually love Val during it... and that’s what angers him (Val doesn’t want to be an item with Angel). And during those moments flashing of with Cherri it shows that he’s going to regret that choice, foreshadowing somethings going to happen leading up to this... Angel’s not addicted to his life style and I think deep down he doesn’t want it in reality he’s saying he’s addicted to Valentino. And he knows very well he’s not treating him right and he’s bad for him. That’s the scary thing about being in an abusive relationship despite being poorly treated you and wanting to leave you can’t. You can’t help but remember the good moments where they show you affection that makes you think its worth saying. And this next scene I think happened before Angel went home with Val (I assume that he’s the one driving Angel Dust home in this scene). This scene just show how much of a scumbag Val and how he really sees Angel.

What he’s really cares about is the money that Angel Dust makes not Angel himself, he’s clearly an after thought not even giving him a second glance. Angel is obviously upset at waiting in the wing for Val to pay attention to him. The two girls making out (yes they’re important) Angel can’t even look at them and makes sure he’s looking the other way... Because Angel was hoping that Val would show him some love too but no the first thing he does is check how much he made. And he put in so much effort in the show just for Val and impress him too. You’d assume he’d thank and praise him the amazing show he put on and that performance was especially for Valentino. Though the way he’s just calmly containing his disappointment and anger shows that this is not the first time he’s done this to him just leaving him on the back burner. Just in a sighing slouch and in his head he’s probably thinking “what the hell was I to expect” or “why the hell am I not surprised... “

“Oh Angel didn’t see you there...”

And only when Val finishes counting all the money does he pull in Angel for a kiss, this pretty much saying “Oh Angel, you made me so much money I can reward you now...” making his love very conditional. And the way he snaps his neck up “oh sorry didn’t see you there...” as if he just remembered him now. He doesn’t love Angel he only loves that money that he brings in. I have think that Angel Dust only tries to be “the best” in porn studios so that he can stay on Val’s radar. But I think at this point in the relationship Angel just experience so much of the abuse and neglect from Val he just expects it. He is just unimpressed and he just drained from all of this. Which tells us two things one Angel Dust may have been under Vals thumb for years and Angel is at his wits end. The expression on Angel Dust face is practically saying “Oh you notice me now” when Val finally starts paying attention to him and Angel just wants to be special to him. And clearly wants to be something more to him than one of his hoes... he’s coming to the realization that may not never get that. He’s just a toy to him something that he can play with and toss out.

This scene just makes me so sad... when Val forces Angel into the kiss seconds before (if you look carefully) you can see Angel he really was leaning in for the kiss and closing his eyes so he can enjoy it. Showing apart of him really loved Valentino and he wanted this so badly; for his love & affection this just breaks my heart. Val managed to manipulate him to the point that where he thinks he truly loves him. The reason why Val wants to kiss Angel Dust because he thinks one kiss is all he needs to make Angel stay with him. You can see the gears slowly turning in his head, he’s catching on... aware of his mistreatment...this kiss is damage control. But you can see in Angel Dust’s eye he’s questioning “is it worth it...” now Angel starting to get the full picture, even if Val wants him he doesn’t care for him and tries to stop Val before he gets sucked in again. He’s had enough and this maybe the first time Angel rejected his advancements, that’s why Valentino is angry in a sense “you’ve never disobeyed me before”, and when an abuser loses control that’s when they start getting physically violent; this maybe the tipping point of when the abuse started to escalate. And we don’t know what happened after it just flashes them going to the Porn Studio.

Which cuts to him throwing fit... after something happens and it’s so heartbreaking cause he clearly blames himself. And just sinks down on to the floor and cries into his hands. We don’t know hat happened but we get our answer... near the end of the song we have Angel Dust at the Hazbin Hotel to now. Where he smoking just like Val he smokes a heart but it’s a broken one and it saying he’s addicted to the sorrow. Meaning he has given up on the idea of Valentino really loving him with him singing “...when the buzz ends by tomorrow” and he’s singing about the love he had for Valentino is gone it was good for a while he had it but now he has to deal with the price of being “addicted to that drug...or getting involved with Val in this case.”

Now he deal “with the poison in his vain” talking about the trauma he received from Valentino... That night he raped Angel Dust in the studio I had a screen shot of the shot of him with Valentino but I though it would be too dark. And he’s clearly dealing with aftermath of the pain and trauma of the relationship and dealing with the scars of it. Which is why there’s a flash of seeing Val in the mirror for a second. But “he’s dependent on Valentino” and has nothing but fear for him now; blames himself and his naivety believing that Val would love him. Before Val’s love was Angel’s drug, it made him feel happy and forget his troubles but eventually that high went down. Loving Valentino ended up hurting and damaging him even more.. and has a new pain that’s hurting him. It’s sad because this is what victims do sometimes they blame themselves. Angel did nothing wrong the poor guy he was manipulated and he’s to the point where Val had made him trapped now.

Which shows the real reason why he wants to stay in the hotel so he won’t have to be so dependent of Val. Slowly but surely try to get better because in the Hazbin Hotel he still working for Val but it living in the hotel. Though the way he pushes of Charlie he’s clearly trying to hide the pain he suffer especially with how he cares himself. Pretending to be carefree and cheerful which makes it so painful to watch him force himself to be happy. I just love Angel Dust so much he’s just so precious!

PLEASE SAVE HIM ALREADY!

Ok, so i was listening to Paranoid DJ's Original Character Song about Vox. And i suddenly was thinking about Vox's whole character.

Why he presents himself like that to the public,

What Valentino has to do with him,

And his Future in HH

So, enjoy. IK that this might not make sense, but i wanted to write that sh*t down, and share it with y'all.

So first, we all know that Vox is

a) an Overlord

and

b) one of the "3V's" which consist of him, a young girl named velvet and of course Valentino.

We all know that the latter is not only the owner of the porn studios in hell, but also sort of the owner of Angel Dust, an Spider Sinner Demon who is under Val's contract.

Contract - That's the jumping point. My theory is, that Vox singed an contract with Val, under the pretext of giving him power, and toys to play with. Aka helping him capture the Radio Demon Alastor, who is canonly his enemy / rival (due to their opposite views on technology). And which demon doesn't want power? And the price Vox had to "pay" was nothing. Mere dust at that time. He just had to sign some papers, promising Val to help him, to get him new toys to play with (aka whores, porn stars). For Vox, who didn't expected that he might end up as a marionette for Val to use when he needs some new stuff. No, back then it might've looked like a bright future. Having sheer endless power over all of hell? Controlling every being and everything in hell? Oh, what a dream. And, maybe he even fell in love with Val, not knowing the real Val. That he doesn't fear anything to get power. Even abusing him.

But over the time Vox might've realized that this moth demon ain't the person he was when they first met.

It all started when Val suggested to adopt Velvet, a young girl whose "theme" might me social media themed. He didn't even asked him, his business partner if he even wanted to have someone at his side,he just did as he pleased. As he later on talked to Val in private, they got into an heated argument, and (you may have guessed it) Val crashed his screen with his bare knuckles.

But he let Val get away with it. Even if Vox was in Pain, Val said he did it out of anger, because they got into an heated argument. Vox forgave Val. Not knowing how powerless he really was. And how abusive his Love Interest Val was.

ok now how vox presents himself to the public

He always keeps his professional face on. Of course, he's an overlord. One small mistake could cost him everything. Val made that clear over and over and over again. He abused Vox. Every small mistake ended up getting screamed at by val, beaten up by val. And a thousand more things.

He won't let anyone look behind closed doors, not even his "daughter" velvet. And she grew on him. He always keeps his smile on, never frowns, never talks back. He doesn't want to get Val mad.

He's hardworking, but stops when val says stop.

Secondly: His part in the future of HH

Over the time, he managed to befriend Angel Dust, Val's favorite toy besides him.

After all he's being through, it's nice to have someone he can talk to.

At first, the Spider Demon was afraid that Val send him, because he made a small mistake while he practiced for the day's show. But soon after he realized that he's just as broken as him. He decided tom give it a try and talk to him. But he Angel soon was able understand him, and tries to help him. He listens to him, doesn't make fun of him.

Over time, they've come up with an amazing strategy to sea each other. Vox asked if Val could send one of his best whore's, maybe even the best one that he has, so that he could 'cool down' after an exhausting week. And Val granted his fellow overlord this wish, by sending Angel Dust. And so these two could'd secretly meet each other. Communicating through colors. Depending on which color Angel wore, it could mean a lot of things.

Pink - Everything goes according to (Angel's) plan

Blue - Everything goes according to (Vox) plan

Red - Val has his fingers in the game, and is most likely keeping an eye on these two

Maybe Vox will be able to get away from Val and his abuse.

But he will not join the happy hotel. He still dislikes this idea. Vox would keep his Business upright, with the help of hell's hottest porn star. Angel Dust.

They both being through a second hell thanks to Val, and both are currently still stuck in it. But if they will get a chance in the future, they will get away from Val. Maybe even killing the Moth Demon.

“Alright my subjects, tell me something,” Coceria began as she filed her sharp claws with a knife in a tall leather chair framed by black wrought iron. Her black spiky crown was on her head as usual. An angelic spear rested by the throne. Below her was a large crowd seated in comfortable chairs, many of them in shades of blue and green. “How the flying fuck am I supposed to remember all your names?! I bet half of you guys are insignificant background characters. And the majority of you haven’t even been featured in the show yet!”

“You mean the Hazbin Hotel show? About our counterparts?” asked Stalaro, holding up a white rose for Coercia. Soft classical music played from his blue microphone staff. The pansexual blue man was occasionally stealing glances at Devil Grit’s fluff.

“That’s irrelevant right now, you sad sack of stag shit!” Coercia yelled. Stalaro’s rose wilted in his hands and the music scratched to a stop. Tears were forming in his large blue eyes and his fluffy ear tuffs were drooping. “B-but I’m talking about my show: The Hazbin Ho…”

“Haven Hotel,” Phalla corrected.

“Right, Haven Hotel! And there’s also that spinoff show Helluva Boss.”

“Heavenly Boss,” Docile corrected her. The elf sat with his colleagues next to a flyer which read, “Efficient Lifesaving Fellows: We revive and keep mortals alive! Sign up today, 33% off.”

“Whatever,”Coercia brushed them aside. “Anyway, normally I wouldn’t care much about you guys, but now that I have formed the Haven Hotel, Phalla figured it should be a good time for us to introduce ourselves. Or more precisely, me to talk to you all.”

“A practical first start,” Devil Grit mentioned with a nod. He was a dark gray faced spider with small green dots below his eyes. His suit was black with green stripes, along with a green bow tie. “Just make sure that everyone stays at least six feet away from me. Social distancing is a safe standard, and necessary precaution.”

“I do love making new friends!” Phalla smiled, fluffing her long black hair with teal ends. A glowing green X was over her right eye and a teal bow was perched don her head. “Don’t you, Klutzy?”

The small blue cyclops angel narrowed her large eye. “Friends. Oh joy.”

“I must say, Coerce dear,” said Lucius. “I don’t really approve of your hotel and your idea. If the council finds out about your attempt to promote rule-breaking activities…”

“Banishment to Hell? Or to my room?” Coercia asked, hands on her hips. “Not the end of the world. And my name is Princess Coerciona. I prefer my full title.”

Core, the friendly white cat, rolled his eyes. He shuffled a few cards in his furry paws. “She’s no fun.”

“I heard that, cat!” she called, making him flinch back a bit.

“We raised you better than this,” Lilian added.

“Oh really?” The black haired princess stood up and turned toward her mother. “You’d rather I be some bubbly musical loving princess who wants to spread “joy and redemption” far across the land? Ha! No. A true ruler commands fear and respect in their subjects. I’m sure Hell’s king Lucifer would agree.”

Pub and Chub, the naked flying babies grinned in agreement while fine tuning black electric guitars in the background.

“We do not mention that name,” Lucius began but Coercia was ignoring them again.

“Lucifer may be a traitor to Him but at least he had guts. If His teachings weren’t so flawed, I’d still be promoting them wholeheartedly. As for my position…maybe another princess may someday take my place, but that’s not gonna happen if I manage to be princess of both realms. But now I’m here, in this lovely, shiny…fake excuse of a paradise with wackos like you. Still, someone’s gotta keep you in line.”

Phalla giggled while Core pat a sobbing Stalaro on his blue back. He wiped his face as his monocle glinted in the sunlight under his left eye.

“Your uncle Metatron wouldn’t approve of your attitude,” Lucius added.

“He wouldn’t even notice, considering he’s too engrossed in his record-keeping,” countered Coercia.

Nearby on another part of the stage, the ocean-like angels Elsa and Nathan whispered to each other.

“I don’t understand it,” Nathan said. “Here I was, promoting goodness for everyone, but Coercia laughed at my ideas and pushed me around. And we even went to Heaven High school prom together.”

“Lucius wanted our two families united, so we could have a higher standing,” Elsa added. “You dating the princess would’ve helped. But sadly she broke up with you and now here we are, envious.”

“Don’t remind me,” Nathan sighed. “It’s not like I was the one abusing her and mocking her ideas. At least she didn’t run off with a sinner girlfriend to further tarnish her family reputation. Ugh…restraining societal standards affect us even here.”

“Or maybe…she’s not much of a romantic person to begin with,” Elsa suggested.

“Not all aromantic and asexual people are cold-hearted,” Nathan said. “She’s just one bad apple.”

Coercia seethed at them, briefly letting out her black feathery wings and white spiked halo over her head. She spoke in a high-pitched angelic language before retreating back to her regular form.

“I hate it when she swears,” Elsa muttered.

Coercia turned to the crowd. “Alright, let’s begin.”

Discussing Angel Dust

OK, so I have been into a show called Hazbin Hotel lately. Well, it is just a pilot and some comics but still, I have been into it. Either way, there is one character I just have so many thoughts on and that is the character Angel Dust. Sorry that this is so long.

Angel is a gay drug-addicted prostitute that apparently was apart of the mob when he was alive. He is also the first to try to be redeemed in Charlie’s project. Now since this takes place in the underworld but is all about trying to redeem demons I found this interesting and got me thinking a lot about this character. Specifically on how he dies, what he is truly like, does he want to be redeemed, and whether it is possible for him to be redeemed.

The first question I had was what are the specifics on how he died?

Now it is already canon that he dies from an overdose but that is actually very vivid information. From what I have read and kind of know being gay in the age of mob Angel was in was a HUGE problem, so I would think Angel would hide this information. I also wouldn’t be surprised if he kept pretty much all of his personal life a secret from his family. For all, we know he could have hated being in the mob but only did it to satisfy his family and draw away any suspicion on what he does alone. If that makes sense. This in turn could cause him to have major mental problems. I bet turning to drugs gave him an escape to this.

Now my question is was his death an accident or suicide? It could have even been murder disguised as a suicide.

Accident - Now this is probably the one I think happened. While in his usual escape from the life he probably did not want to be a part of he accidentally overdose on his drugs.

Suicide - This one is also possible. If he did keep his personal life a secret and it was exposed I bet he would have gone through a living heck. His family would disapprove and probably beat him or kicked him out. He would be forced to live his life alone and in isolation. Not wanting to go through that anymore he made the choice to overdose on the thing that he at the time was addicted to. Now in the music video “Addict”, he said he was in a comatose first so his death was probably slow and he probably went through it alone.

Murder - seriously doubt this one but in a manga I read, can’t remember the name sorry, a character was kidnapped and was forced to overdose and died but because they were a known user the police counted it as a suicide. Now I can believe something like this happening to Angel. Mobs fight a lot so I can believe Angel was taken and was forced to overdose. I doubt it but it is possible. If you want to go to the extremes maybe he was kidnapped and was forced to do angel dust to get high and then be forced to pleasure his captures. Only for him to fall into a coma then dying because of it. (I am praying this is far from right considering what Angel is going through in the underworld.)

Now another question I had is what is he really like?

In the pilot we see him be kind of a jokester, violent, and crud but there are a few points you see something different. Now, most of this was from reading and watching other people's thoughts and I must agree.

In the pilot, there are a few scenes to take notice on.

1) When Angel and Cherri bomb are in the turf war. At one point Angel pushes her out of the way of something that looked like a gun. Now when you consider where they are you would expect people to follow the “every man for themselves” kind of logic but here instead of running and letting her take the bullet he pushes her away. To make it more touching he showed no signs of thought and just did it on impulse. This shows he cares for her on a higher level than I think he wants to show.

2) After Charlie, Vaggie, and Angel dust make it back to the hotel Angel begins to joke about how there are no people at the hotel causing Charlie to get sad. Now instead of continuing to joke he stops laughing and shows to be kind of concerned. He seems to want to go up to her and say something but decides not to and walks away. Now, this is huge because it shows he does care for Charlie even if he tries to hide it. It also shows that even he knows when he has gone too far. I would even think the walk away had meaning. If you think about how he lives now and when he was alive I bet cheering people up is not his strong suit so instead of possibly making the situation worse he walks away and leaves her alone.

Now in the Music Video, there is also a scene that shows a bit more of what he is like.

In the post credits scene at the very end, you see him singing his true feelings. How much pain he is in and at one point he says and I quote “ I'm addicted, I'm dependent. Looking awesome...” then the big one. “...Feeling helpless.” This shows he might not be as confident and high spirited as he plays to be. It shows a softer side to him that needs help.

Also in the video, we also see he has a pet pig named Fat Nuggets. Just him having a pet shows something else too. The fact that he has a genuine caring side. The pig appears to love him a lot and Angel loves him too. Now if we think about the persona he is trying to play I don’t think he would have a pet. Especially one that loves him so much. So this proves that behind closed doors he can be a gentle caring person.

Now the big question I had was whether he even wants to be redeemed? I say yes and here is the way.

Now nothing in the Pilot really shows that he wants to be redeemed but in the music video specifically the post credit scene it does show quite a bit. Like I said above it shows he is in a lot of pain right now and his addiction helps him through it but then at the very end he says and I quote “Maybe things won't be so terrible inside this hotel.” I think this shows he does or at least hopes that the hotel is a good idea.

Another thing that supports this thought is in the comic “Dirty healing.” When Angel asks Charlie why she chose him to take part in her project and she answers he kind of gets a look like “you're not exactly wrong.” Now I don’t think he wants others to know his interest since it could possibly make his life worse, so he rejects the idea as a whole. But then when Vaggie says and I quote “he’s not a good candidate,” I think Angel saw the opportunity to join without showing his genuine interest, and also it gives him an excuse when questioned about it, like when he explains it to Cherri bomb in the pilot.

Now the final question I had was if it is possible for him to be redeemed? To that, I say ABSOLUTELY! If the above doesn’t show it then I don’t know what will.

Now while I do think it is possible for him to be redeemed I don’t think he can come close to it right now. And that is because of a huge obstacle he has to face. Valentino!

We can see Valentino treats him horribly and that puts a lot of pressure and mental damage on Angel. To cope Angel gets high. So the more he works for Val the more he feels he needs drugs. And since Val has complete control over Angel, Angel is unable to escape. I believe once he does escape and this cycle breaks the path to redemption can actually begin.

We already know Angel has a hidden caring side, good friends, and seems to hate his current life, so I think he would like to try to escape and make a better life for himself than when he was alive or with Val.

Summary: Angel has realized that he's in a bad situation and tries to get out, but is it possible when you've signed your entire being to an Overlord? (The story also uses some of my own Personal headcanons of Val’s powers. His smoke can be used to literally bind a demon to him and when inhaled acts like a drug)

Angel had grown to hate being called to Valentino’s private rooms. There was a time when he relished the praise, the sex and the attention he got from his boss. Now, the desire to please Val made him feel sick. He shouldn’t want to make the man who hurt him, who abused him. Angel wasn’t in Val’s rooms to be the entertainment today. He rubbed his arms, ignoring the glowing red smoke around his wrists, invisible to all except himself and Val, a reminder that he was Valentinos. Angel had to force himself not to jump when sharp nails gripped his shoulders from behind.

“Angel cakes, I heard some troubling news. You refused to take the drugs before your shoot today” Val released his grip and took his seat across from Angel, face set in a scowl, “I give you these drugs to make sure your performance is up to my tastes.”

“I’ve been clean for over a month now. I don’t want to ruin that.”

“Have you forgotten that part of your service to me is giving me the control to make the best choices?”

“No, but you’re the one who wanted me to act like a model hotel member to get their trust. If I relapse now, it’ll look suspicious.” Not to mention that until he couldn’t remember the last time he’d gone more then a couple of days without something in his body. Even when he was alive drugs had been his crutch.

Valentino hummed, eyes narrowing, “So I did, tell me baby have you managed to learn anything useful to us?”

Angel’s eyes flickered, “No boss, Alastor doesn’t exactly go around sharing his weaknesses.” That wasn’t exactly true. Angel had caught a few things that have made the radio demon flinch, but he wasn’t going to betray them. Maybe a month ago he would have. He was realziing

“Hmmm, disappointing” He lit a cigarette, “When I gave you the freedom to stay at the hotel after you accepted her proposal, without my consent, I may add. I expected results” He blew the smoke Angels way.

Angel managed to brush the cloud away before he could inhale it, “I just said I’ve been clean for over a month.”

“And in that time you’ve gotten me nothing” Val reached out and pulled Angel to his lap, “We both know you’re missing the high I can give you” he stroked Angels hair before gripping it tightly, “Watch your fucking tone with me, Angel,” The smoke swirling around his wrists and throat constricted, “Just because you’re living with the princess doesn’t change the fact that I still own you.”

Angel let out a shaky breath, “I’m sorry, Val.” He had to smooth things over before

Val shoved him away, a look of glorious boredom returning “Get out, I expect results by next week, or you’ll regret it.”

“Anything you want Mister Valentino” Angel put on a smile for him, while internally his thoughts were much more rebellious. He wasn’t coming back. Contract be damned.

Angel didn’t show up to the meeting and ignored Val’s texts and calls. After a month it became background noise. Out of sight, out of mind.

Angel had left Cherri’s later than expected, “You sure you’ll be alright by yourself, Angie?”

“The hotel is only twenty minutes from here, and less than five of that is in his territory,” Angel said with Faux confidence. Why did she have to make him worry? “He’s not stupid enough to try anything.”

Cherri frowned, “Alright, just send me a text if I need to cause a scene.”

“I will” He kissed her cheek, “See you soon sugar tits, don’t forget about our coffee date on Wednesday, Nuggs has missed you.”

“I’ve missed him too, text me when you get to the hotel, she called after him watching him leave with a frown.

Angel walked down the street, doing his best to keep to the shadows, the fewer people who saw him, the less likely that Val would learn he was even here.

He should have known that Val would know he was out alone. That somebody would have reported him going to Cherri’s earlier. That he’d be watching. Angel forced himself to keep calm as the limo pulled up beside him, the door opened “Angel get your ass in here now.”

Angel took a breath and stepped inside, sitting down on the plush seat, pointedly avoiding eye contact. The silence as stifling as the lingering smoke.

“Where the fuck have you been?” Val asked, words slicing through the air.

It took Angel everything in him not to flinch. “At the hotel,” he met Val’s eyes, “I’m done working for you.” He didn’t want to be stuck as Val’s property for the rest of his existence. Not when he had something so much better.

Valentino laughed, “Oh, are you now?” he hummed, leaning forward and pulling Angel to him by the smoky collar, “This says otherwise Angel Cakes” He chuckled, “You spend a couple of months around the princess, and you think you can change? That her ridiculous plan will work?” He cupped Angel’s cheek, “Her plan is doomed to fail, and the minute she figures it out, she’ll kick you out, and you’ll be alone.” He tutted, “you’re better off with me, and you know it.”

“I disagree, I am better off far away from you.” Angel didn’t let himself dwell on the doubts that Val was putting in his head

Valentino’s smile turned poisonous, “regardless; you don’t get to make that choice. You signed yourself over to me decades ago. You are my property, you signed away the need to make those choices and in return, I make sure you’re safe.”

“Yeah, and now I’m working with the princess, who if I remember outranks you and I’m a lot safer in her hands than yours.”

“I think, I’m just about done with your attitude,” Valentino took Angel’s chin and blew smoke in his face. The drugs would keep him compliant until he got these ridiculous notions out of his property’s head. He shifted Angel so he was resting against him, “Now relax Angel, we’re going home.”
