The Wendigo. An elemental spirit of hunger, these creatures haunt places in the wild where they devour prey and convert potential souls into new Wendigo spirits. The arrival of one is often heralded by the “midnight sun” an event in which night briefly becomes day. The event causes paralysis to those at the epicenter of it, thus allowing the creature to easily catch and torture their prey. The spirit will select a victim to turn into a new Wendigo by vomiting water into them that helps instigate a voracious, cannibal appetite.
