If you like deadpool i think you'll like The Ghoul from the new fallout series they have many of the same characteristics. Fallout is a pretty brutal series though so I'd do what you did when you watched american psyco and have a friend there to tell you when to look away

I have a friend who really likes Fallout, if they want to watch it with me, I'll be willing! If not, then I probably won't make the effort to watch it. I can handle some amounts of blood and gore but it always depends and I probably shouldn't go into it blind like you said.

American Psycho and A Coockwork Orange are two of the very few times where the actors cast to play the lead characters sound and look as I imagined or would expect said characters to appear and sound. Malcolm had this evil glint in his eye and this odd layer of boyish charm and innocence to him that I imagined Alex to have in the book to allow for him to do so many horrendous things and yet get away with it for so long.

Christian managed to have this bored tense disinterest in his voice I can imagine for Patrick and this cold empty gaze that sells what Patrick often laments in the story that he is simply not there.

Like there are so many books where you look at the actor in the adaption and look at the book and it feels like such a shocking disconnect that it absolutely ruins it for me.

But those two instances were such perfect casting.
