The thing that people don't seem to understand about a scenario where Biden gets reelected in 2024 is that it wouldn't just maintain the status quo of the last four years. The Democratic Party receiving confirmation that they are immune to criticism, populist anger, and belief in the President's sheer incompetence as long as there's a Trump-like figure to run against is only going to make the next four years worse.
They shorted every American $600. They ignored rampant price gouging by labeling it "Putin's price hike". They responded to outrage over the systemic killing of Black men and boys by promising to "Fund the Police". They offered right wing fascism everything it wanted when it came to demonizing, terrorizing and torturing migrants and refugees. They threw billions of dollars at proxy wars while the last vestiges of hope for home ownership died for generations of Americans. They feigned impotence to boost the minimum wage, eliminate student loan debt, and stop a genocide they are actively funding, with each effort more transparent than the last.
We are on the precipice of creating an absolute monster.

To the trans/queer people who are right wingers: the right will always hate you. you can lick the muck off their boots for an eternity, and they will always hate you. why? because you are a part of the community.
thats the issue of the right. they will always see you as a gay, a transgender. never a gay person, never a transgender person.
we aren't people to them.

Politics in the U.S. have shifted sooo much to the right that now there are only two competing political spectrums:
The far right drawing bills that would allow kids/ teenagers to work longer hours and perform some currently banned tasks, cutting taxes on the super rich (increasing them on the poor), criminalizing abortion (some states even want to implement the death sentence to women who have abortions), criminalizing trans people (by banning drag shows, or anything that 'sexualizes' children, without of course fobidding beauty competitions in little girls in bikinis), banning any books that talk about racism, trans people or homosexuality from schools, etc. There are people even talking about banning women's rights to vote.
Versus the center right, a.k.a. Democrats which are even more right than the CDU, which is Germany's center right party that widely endorses universal health care and many other social issues that the Democratic party rarely even talks about or would even dream in supporting ("Like why should I pay for other's peoples' wellbeing").
The center left, i.e. Bernie Sanders, is out of the panorama, since it is considered far left even by the Democrats in the U.S. of A. Bernie Sanders is by no means, a socialist. He'd be an average SPD member, which is Germany's current ruling center left party.
While the Evangelical right of the U.S. does not represent the majority, they have so much power, that they managed to succeed in drawing all these antisocial legislations. It's not only a democracy question, but the truly worrying thing is that they can be considered the Western Hemisphere's equivalent of the Taliban.

Republicans Are Soft on Fascism
(I try to put my head in the sand, but I suffocate.)
Stephen Jay Morris

©Scientific Morality.
Billionaire Elon Musk blames Jews for the failure of his social Media venture, “X” (formerly “Twitter). It has something to do with the ADL. I saw recent videos of neo-Nazis on a Florida bridge, waving their swastika flags left to right in view of the oncoming traffic. Hitler fan and podcaster, Nick Fuentes, tells the world he hates poor people. Anti-Semitism has come full circle, again, to being blatantly expressed in public. There used to be repercussions for talking shit about the Jews. I am watching this cadre of Jew haters unfold in front of my very eyes.  Lots of American Jews once thought that if they converted to Christianity and married a Gentile, they would be immune to being put in concentration camps or thrown into ovens. I can still hear my father pounding his fist on the dining room table, in a rage, yelling that the Jews are a religion not a race. “Why is he yelling at his family and not to real Jew haters?” I thought. That is a story for another time.
But alas, you can’t convince a Nazi that Jews are white. They think and feel that Jews are a mogul race of mud people and should be destroyed. Once they find out that you are Jewishbye, bye!
In 1935, Sinclair Lewis published a book, “It Can’t Happen Here.” It warned about the possibility of Fascism in America. I read that book in 1969. I told my parents and they thought I was crazy. America is the strongest country in the world, they said; it would never happen here!
It is now happening here. What about the owners of massive wealth and the military industrial complex? Do they care? First, the so-called deep state couldn’t give a damn about Jews at risk for death! Second, Nazis are pro-capitalism so long as White men control it. I’ve asked this question a million times: have you ever seen a Right winger protest a Nazi? Neither have I. Conservatives are soft on fascism. They get embarrassed by Nazis because they say the quiet rhetoric out loud. They say things like, “the East elites (Rich Jews) want to run our country” or “the globalists (Rich Jews) want to run the world!” They say, “the Jews will not replace us!” to which the conservative agrees, but thinks the Nazis are giving the game away.
But when it comes to Communism? Holy fuck burgers! Bomb them! Kill them all and let God sort them out! They know that Communists would take away their property and businesses and give it all to the poor. If you ask me, I’d rather live in Stalin’s Russia than in the 1950’s America, anti-communist hysteria. Fuck anti-Communism!!! Conservatives outlawed free speech in America in the 50’s. If you slightly inferred liberal tendencies in your speech, the FBI would tap your phone and follow you to work! You think I am exaggerating? Go through some time machine and find out. During the 50’s, if you were in America and, simultaneously, in the then Soviet Union, you wouldn’t know the difference! In Russia, The KGB would follow you around and, in the USA, the FBI would follow you around.
As an anarchist, I am not surprised. As a Jew, I am highly concerned. Oh, and your gentile spouse will not be spared. During the Nazi’s regime, many Aryans were put into camps for marrying non-Aryan husbands or wives. The price for race-mixing is death.
I sure miss the Jewish Defense League, even though they were Right wing, Zionist revisionists. They were pro-active. Whenever there were Nazi rallies, they were there with baseball bats. I am not pro-violence, but I am not pro-surrender, either. I’ll tell you one thing. I will not walk into a gas chamber peacefully. Never again, motherfuckers!

I’m honestly fucking terrified of what’s coming for America.
Like.
I looked into the notes of a post supporting Palestine and there’s all these Americans saying they won’t vote for Biden and like-
Sure, he fucking sucks, but have you forgotten who, no, what the other choice is??? Have you forgotten how everything got so much worse since 2016???
You have two horrible choices unless you manage to concentrate on a third party. But the fact is that the US is a two party system.
But if option one is the party that really hasn’t done much worse than what the US has been doing internationally for like a hundred years and option two is the party that’s platforming on the murder of POC and the LGBTQ+ and who’s leaders are publically planning political assassinations then for the sake of everyone I say it’s a moral obligation not to let option two win.
You can’t abstain on this, if you’re an American of voting age then not voting is the same as a vote for the Republicans.
Please. I don’t want them to make things even worse than they have.

This actually deserves its own post, so I'm going to say it again
A constitutional convention is a TERRIBLE IDEA.
I can't stress this enough. Think of every politician you know. Not just the one or two you like. Not just Donald Trump and the Republicans who backed him (and mostly flip flopped on that backing depending on what they thought would give them the best chance of being reelected), not just DeSantis, but all of them. Would you trust AOC to rewrite the constitution? Because you bet your ass the Democrats will be taking her input, if not actively having her write her version to put up for a vote. Even when it gets rejected, some of what she writes will make it in when the Republicans inevitably cave on important stances in the interest of another mostly one sided "compromise". Don't believe me? Look how many traitors are supporting the gun control lite that's currently going through congress.
Would you trust Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell to stand up for the principals of limited government and personal freedom? Would you trust the people voting on any new constitution to even read it, let alone understand what it is they're voting for? Would you trust the voting machines to properly tally ratification votes? Would you trust groups like BLM and Everytown for Gun Safety to have input? Would you trust politicians with ties to China, Soros, and the WEF to put the interests of the country ahead of global interests? Would you trust the media to accurately report on what's in each draft of the new constitution? Would you trust Google and Facebook to not censor the drafts that get put online? Would you trust any of these people or groups with your rights?
Think of everyone you talk to online. Think of your friends and family. Think of your coworkers. Would you want them rewriting the constitution? Would you trust them with your rights?
If the answer to a single one of these questions isn't an emphatic "hell yes!" then you can't support a constitutional convention. Rewriting the constitution now would be a disaster. We would lose more than we gain, if we even gain anything. The country is way too big for a consensus. Any document will be a mess of conflicting interests all trying to get their agendas passed. Our rights will be, at best, a distant 10th or 11th place in the drafting of a new constitution. At worst, they won't even be considered. Our politicians don't study the classic Greek and Roman philosophers. They don't have their morals informed by religion or family or study of history. The only philosophy they read are Marks and Engels, Osteen and Coulter, Vice and TMZ. The only morals they have are informed in most cases by decades in Washington. There is no one alive right now who I would trust in rewriting the constitution. Not even myself. As a society, we aren't equipped for it, morally or emotionally. Whatever fantasy you have of rewriting the constitution to be everything you want it to be will never come true. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise. Anyone who tries is either incredibly stupid, or lying to you. Don't be a fool. Don't let the enemies of this country and our constitution rewrite the very foundation of our laws.

My dearest Internet,
Throughout my time in modern-day America, I've noticed the Democratic and Republican parties seem to love twisting me to fit their narrative. It is because of the very fact I'm good for business that it becomes acceptable in their eyes to make it seem like I'm one of them.
It's truly a travesty, for I detest all political parties. This kind of division among Americans has ruined our American identity and made us feel disconnected. It's pitting us all against each other. This kind of burden needs to be fought.
What I command of you is that you do not let yourself be indoctrinated by this sort of division. Instead, fight against it. Educate yourself on such subjects with your experience and hard work, make your beliefs clear, and fight for them. Do not care for what any party has to tell you. Let you tell yourself.
Most Hbl & Obedient Servant, G: Washington.

A couple thoughts on multi-party democracies
I think a lot of people who are frustrated with America's two-party system have an idealized view of what it would be like to have 3, 5, or even a dozen or more political parties to choose from. But if you pay attention to the political news from such countries, like Israel, or India, you'll notice that even in parliaments with multiple parties are represented, in order to get anything done, the politicians, once elected, have to build coalitions, by figuring out who else it's easiest to compromise with, and with whom you're most likely to argue and vote against.
So even in a country like Israel (for example), which has (if I'm interpreting this Wikipedia article correctly) 16 parties in its current Knesset, it still ends up being just two "sides" playing tug of war with each other: "The Government" and "The Opposition." And you still end up with politicians who may have run on deeply heartfelt convictions having to compromise on those beliefs once they've won their elections.
Frankly, I'm starting to think America's "two-party system" is more like a multi-party system than it looks like on paper. It's just that the coalitions are formed before the elections, instead of after -- especially considering all the factions and causes in the Democratic Party.
