I love the little moment where Alyssa makes an excuse for Kate not being in class.
It shows that Arcadia Bay is a world that doesn't completely revolve around Max. People have friendships and dynamics that she doesn't know a lot about. The only other hint we get to Alyssa and Kate's friendship outside of this moment is a picture you can find in Kate's room, and that's perfect because the shy Max wouldn't know every aspect of everyone’s relationship.
Also, I like how Alyssa says Kate is sick to give her a “genuine” excuse. While I think the mental stress Kate is going through is a good enough reason to miss class, unfortunately, most academic institutes don’t see it that way. So Alyssa saying that Kate isn’t feeling good gives her some wiggle room to avoid getting in trouble. It's not a complete lie either since Kate isn't in a good headspace.
So I like this small little interaction! It’s neat and gives some depth to Alyssa who is a minor character in the grand scheme of things.

Face-blind Max Caulfield, and the notes she might take to memorize people's appearances
(Inspired by a chat I recently had with @tangent101)
Chloe - Blue hair, black jacket, beanie, three bullets worn in a necklace, makes my heart flutter when near
Kate - Dirty blonde hair in large bun, cross necklace, radiates cuteness
Victoria - Short blonde hair, expensive clothes, snobby attitude
Taylor - Long blonde hair, expensive clothes, snobby attitude
Courtney - Short black and purple hair, expensive clothes, snobby attitude
Warren - Messy brown hair, puppy needing to be housetrained*
Nathan - Short light brown hair, expensive clothes, nearly always angry
David (out of uniform) - Black hair in buzz cut, nearly always angry
Alyssa - Purple hair, hated by the universe, "extra huggable"*
Brooke - Black hair with red streaks, glasses, often has drone nearby.
* Thanks to @tangent101 for suggesting these ones.

I’m still not sure I like the LiS comics that much but one thing they did right is making Alyssa a survivor of the Storm because I don’t accept her dying anyway. This is not happening. I saved this girl too many times for her to just die like everyone else like, c’mon. She said « Max, you’re like my guardian angel » or something, you’re damn right I am, girl.

Conversation
Alyssa: My dad and I used to fish this lake in the summer.
Alyssa: One time, our boat almost tipped over, but then it didn’t!
Max: That’s... not a great story.
Alyssa: Yeah, I had a pretty uneventful childhood.

Following on from my post to @chloepleasestopdying 's thread about Chloe wouldn't wear a dress, etc. Ive expanded my work on this by expanding this idea to more of the LiS cast. Some as you see more comfortable to be dressified up than others (i yielded with PriceField re. the heels as Chloe really was gonna stab me in the throat with one and let her have a pair of clumpy new rock boots.)
Now i'm off to give myself 'NUCLEAR HEAT' amongst the LiS community (if given the reaction to the last time i did it is anything to go by) by committing the cardinal sin of putting Cassidy in one.

TᕼᖇOᑌGᕼ TᕼIᑕK ᗩᑎᗪ TᕼIᑎ
Kate Marsh x GN!Reader
Summary: All on my previous post responding to the request.
Warnings: Swearing (if you squint), bullying, Kate being sad
It was love at first sight for me, which may be a bit of an exaggeration but now I don't think I could see it in any other way. We met in the dormitories, on September 2013', unpacking all the bags shipped off from our parents, and then our eyes locked. It was as if the rest of the world melted away and it was only the two of us in the room.
I felt something unlike anything else I'd ever felt, and that's when I knew, I had an immediate crush on the Christian girl from 222. Maybe it was fate, you know, with the angel numbers and all. I searched it up later that night, 222: a message of hope, basically saying to trust that everything is working out exactly as it's supposed to.
That same day a very rare surge of confidence made me introduce myself to her, and thank God it did.
"Hey, I'm Y/n." I smiled nervously, fiddling with a crease in my trousers.
The dirty blonde spun around to face me, a teddy bear held in her arms, "Oh, hi. I'm Kate." She returned the smile. She looks down at the teddy clutched in her hands, her face turning red before chucking it onto her bed.
We soon became each other's first friends at Blackwell, and I couldn't have been happier. We talked about anything and everything, laughed until our stomachs hurt and spent every free moment together.
Though in good there will forever be bad, and it killed me to watch it unfold onto poor Kate.
The student next door in 221 gave her a hard time from the beginning. Victoria Chase, member of Blackwell's elitist club, member of the student body, and Blackwell's biggest bitch. As much as I remind Kate how badly Victoria has treated her, Kate being her forgiving self constantly lets it go as if it were nothing, telling me 'she may have had a bad day' or 'I'd rather accept and move on than hate'.
But, recently it'd gotten worse, she wasn't sleeping, she wasn't eating properly, only leaving her room for school and the occasional lunch. It's been plaguing my mind for the past few days, so I simply sit at my desk, not really looking at anything, just thinking of ways I could cope with watching the woman I love slowly break down.
It's early in the morning, early enough to hear Kate's violin through the halls, but the usual Mozart piece had been brought to silence as of late. I stand up from my desk and walk over to my door, quickly checking my appearance in the mirror before making my way to Kate's room.
I raise my hand in a fist and lightly knock a rhythm on the wooden door, a mumbled, "It's open." spoke in return.
I slowly walk into the room and I'm met with a tired Kate sitting on the edge of her bed. She was in her usual attire, skirt, blouse, cardigan, etcetera. The room is dark and messy, which is very unlike the hazel-eyed girl.
"Good morning, Kate." I greet her, a small smile on my face in hope to lighten her mood.
She glances up at me, giving me a more clear view of the heavy bags under her eyes, "Good morning, Y/n."
"Did you sleep well?" I question timidly, fearing the slightest hint of her behaviour could be the downfall of our friendship.
She doesn't answer, only giving me a sigh and letting her shoulders deflate, on hand playing with the cross on her chest. I wonder if she's even slept, it sure doesn't look like it. She's always been one to follow a strict sleep schedule, seeing her like this is almost like unknown grounds.
"Kate, you've been awfully quiet recently," I murmur, eyebrows softly furrowed in worry.
She looks up at me, a small smile on her face, "I'm just tired, that's all."
I can tell she's lying, mainly because she's no good at it. I thought we'd promised to tell each other everything, I wouldn't be mad if she didn't feel comfortable telling me anything but it leaves me to believe I haven't assured her enough. Something's up, I don't need to know what exactly is up but as long as Kate is happy by the end of the day, that is all that matters to me.
I sit down next to her on her bed, letting my hands fall on my lap "You know you can tell me anything, right?" I persist, my worry turning into concern.
She bites her lip as if debating whether or not to tell me, before finally admitting, "It's been a bit of a rough week."
"What do you mean by 'rough'?"
We spend the rest of the time we had before first period talking about the incident, I was heartbroken, to say the least. Listening to the poor girl try to recover memories from the night of the party, finally understanding the looks from across the classroom, the whispers in the hallway, and the snide comments passed throughout the dormitories. I'd been wondering why Stella and Alyssa had strayed away from the girl, but you'd think someone's friends would stick with them.
By the end of the day, I'd returned to Kate's room and held her while she sobbed in my arms. Telling her everything will be fine when in reality, she's going through a nightmare that she can't escape, that'll stay with her for months, years, hell maybe even the rest of her life.
Once she'd calmed down she'd dry her eyes, and take my hands into hers, flushing my face red, then thanking me for being there. This became her new routine, a schedule to follow, and it's set to ruin her life.
Days go by and nothing's changed, clearly, this will be something going down in the Blackwell class of 14' history book, and it disgusts me.
I care about her too much to see her go through this, I have to help her.
I stroll out of my science lesson, Brooke by my side as we discuss some project we'd been given to work on until our conversation is stopped by some ruckus down the hall. We turn to each other with curious expressions, and then make our way to the small noise.
The both of us immediately stop in our tracks to take in the sight before us, not too much of a crowd had gathered, thankfully, but I can tell f it continued it would only escalate.
Textbooks and folders fallen onto the floor, Logan walking away from a defenceless Kate, laughing with his douchey friends. I leave Brooke's side to help the Christian girl with her belongings, however, when I thought that'd be the end of Kate's unfortunate daily harassment, Victoria and her minions make their entrance whilst I'm trying to sort all of Kate's things into her locker. They lock on to their prey and immediately attack. Picking on every minor insecurity they could possibly identify in the girl and tearing her to shreds.
Victoria and her friends are relentless, they won't stop until Kate's broken.
"Hey Jesus slut, planning on going wild again next week?" Taylor spit.
"Yeah, you sure knew your way around those guys' throats." Courtney follows her slightly taller friend's lead, giving Victoria the perfect moment to enter.
"Who would've thought little Christian whore Kate spends her spare time getting frea-"
I stop the blonde mid-sentence before she can dig too deep, "Just leave it, Victoria." I mumble, a poor attempt to get the trio to stop.
She scoffs, a raised eyebrow in disbelief, "And who are you again? Kate's guardian angel? Not like she'd be so worthy of one." A smirk plasters her face, a hand firmly placed on her hip.
"It doesn't matter who I am, just leave her alone." I try.
But it's no use, they won't stop until Kate's hurt worse than she already is. Eventually, I can't take it no longer, "What the fuck is up with you? You've treated her like dirt ever since you laid eyes on her, what could she have possibly done to you? She's the single most amazing person you'll ever meet, yet you never took the time to learn that, you were too busy trying to figure out what'll hurt her the most." I roar, anger fuelling my words.
"She's the purest person ever, and you're picking off a stupid accident that was forced on her." By now a crowd had formed to watch Victoria finally be put in her place.
"Maybe if you weren't such a bitch all the time, you'd see what there is to love about her. But you choose to take out your own insecurities on her. Do you not see what you've done to her, you've made her friends fucking leave her, you've made her family look at her in a completely different way, and you've made people who love her watch her suffer. And, please, let me tell you, watching someone you love's life simply waste away sucks, you know?" Victoria stays silent, and so does the rest of the school. Before I know it, I realised what I'd done. Not only had I just lashed out at someone who could kick me out of the school within a heartbeat, but I'd just admitted I love Kate. I internally hope they think I meant it in a friendly way... Who am I kidding? I'm fucked.
I leave the school grounds into the pouring rain, clothes getting soaked in the Arcadia Bay weather. Kate attempts to keep up with my wide strides down the street, trying to grab my attention with her words.
It takes her snatching my hand into her own and tugging me back to finally gather my focus. She stays silent, just looking at my face, my clenched jaw and furrowed eyebrows giving her enough information on how I was feeling. The two of us stand there, hair sticking to our clothes and clothes sticking to our skin.
After what seems like an eternity, Kate finally speaks up, "Do you really?"
I don't answer for a short while, mentally debating whether or not I should admit it. Clearly, I was taking too long because Kate, yet again, speaks up.
"Y/n, do you mean it?" She asks softly, an unsure expression planted on her face.
I nod, unable to form the right words. I watch her face change from worry to ecstatic, her hand softly squeezing my hand tighter. We stay like that for a while, rain still whipping at our faces, the both of us waiting for the other to say something.
"I love you, Y/n." She smiles with bliss.
I don't respond only looking down at my shoes to hide the shit-eating grin on my face, plus, I don't think I could look her in the eye without getting overwhelmed.
My eyes remain facing the ground, "I love you too, Kate." I speak quietly, I'm sure the girl almost didn't hear the confession over the thunder in the sky. "And I guess everybody knows now." I joke with a humourless laugh. Kate places her palm on my cheek making me look up at her into the beautiful hazel eyes I've grown to know and love.
She leans in, pressing her lips against mine in a soft and gentle kiss. The both of us stand there, just holding each other, enjoying the moment we've been waiting for. I don't know what the future holds, but I know that I'll be by her side, through thick and thin.

Alyssa for LiS character bingo, pretty please?
Tumblr media
Ahhhh Alyssa, the emo goth girl we barely got to know. I love her deadpan delivery, the subtle shade she throws, and her character design is pretty neat.
Now if only Dontnod would let her be anything other than a walking fat joke/butt monkey. Alyssa basically exists to give Max little mercies to perform with her powers and I think she deserved more than that. Just a handful more conversations with her would have been nice. Also, what the fuck is up with her and Warren maybe dating? Is Warren really asking three different women out? The fuck dude.

Post-Save Arcadia Bay headcanons
Since we never got anything detailing what happens after Max saved Arcadia Bay, not a mention in LIS 2 or a single comic on what could've happened because Square Enix refuses to give us post content for EVERY ending in LIS. Here is my personal headcanon and what a hypothetical Post-Save The Bay universe could look like.
There is a long period of grieving after the funeral. And nightmares of Jefferson.
The Blue Butterfly is a constant presence in Max's dreams
This would be the story of Max trying to move on, going through grief, Warren, Kate and the rest of Max’s friends helping Max through this sad period of her life.
Warren comes to sleep with Max to help soothe her nightmares. Sometimes her friends have sleepovers so they don't leave Max alone.
Max goes to the psychologist. She takes pictures but almost all of them are Chloe related. At the same time with her friends. There, Max learns to value her friends EVEN more and vows not to abandon them like she did with Chloe.
Max learns to listen and get to know herself more. And to be as brave as Chloe was
Much like the raven was for BTS. Max will dream of Chloe, trying to convince Max she has to let go of her guilt and move on with her life but know that she will always be in Max’s heart and also for her.
Warren would be a positive presence for Max, always there for her and a good influence during her grieving period. They’d watch movies together in their dorm rooms and just hangout. Warren’s presence soothes Max’s broken heart and this is why Max slowly falls in love with him.
Kate, Warren, Dana, Alyssa, Stella, Juliet, Daniel and even Victoria would be there for Max
With Kate, Kate is Max’s angel. Like Warren, Kate lifts Max up after the loss of Chloe. Kate would play her violin for Max, take Max to her Church groups and Kate would allow Alice to love Max up and tea dates just to brighten Max’s days up.
Max and Victoria would make peace and Victoria would help her through her grief, which would result in Max and Victoria finally becoming friends. Victoria, Taylor and Courtney would take Max out for shopping, dress Max up and Victoria would help reignite Max’s love for photography and would not let Jefferson ruin her passion. Max and Victoria together would take some killer shots. Victoria would tell Max “when you are a famous photographer, you can put your pictures in my gallery” and it was a deal, Max would focus on becoming a photographer and Victoria would become heir to the Chase Space. Max and Victoria embrace in a hug.
Max would confront Nathan in a mental institution. Upon being visited by Max, Nathan would break down in tears and tell her he did not mean to kill Chloe, hurt Kate or hurt Rachel. He didn’t want to hurt anyone and profusely apologize, but he knows he has to live with what he’s done and Max takes it upon herself to forgive Nathan and hug him. This results in a monthly visit where Max and Victoria would visit Nathan, think of this like the fanfic The Sense Of Me for Max and Nathan’s friendship.
We could also get a dream of Chloe telling Max that she loves Joyce and that she forgives her and misses her and Max would tell Joyce this and Joyce would break down in tears.
As enough time to process the grief and begin healing, Max and Warren go Ape and Max thanks Warren for being there for her during her mourning and Max tells her how much she appreciates Warren and confesses that she loves him and kisses Warren. Also Max and Warren would go on a double date with Brooke and Daniel
Time passes and Max would graduate from Blackwell with a promising career in photography on the horizon. But also an interest in photojournalism sparks Max's interest
It could close on Max, Warren, Kate, Nathan(would be after his release and after he visits Chloe’s grave and breaks down and says he’s sorry, would also make peace with Kate, Joyce and David), Victoria, Dana, Juliet, Stella, Brooke, Daniel, Alyssa, Steph, Mikey, Frank, Joyce and David at the Lighthouse. Chloe’s spirit looking on her family and Max proudly, and Chloe’s spirit finally moves on.

I wish that Max would’ve had the option to warn more people through the week that a tornado was going to destroy the bay. She’s able to warn the homeless woman, which is good, but it would’ve been nice to get that option for more then one character. In fact, I can think of ten characters I think would’ve been cool to tell to evacuate and in what circumstances they could have happened!
More Undercut
Kate If She Survives The Roof
When you meet Kate in the hospital in episode four, she'll tell Max that her family has invited her home to visit after her attempt. While she wants to see her family, Kate is unsure whether she's ready to talk to them about everything that happened, and many people in town still want to see her. As Max, you can tell her to stay in Arcadia Bay or suggest that she goes home and only talks when ready. If you tell Kate to leave, she's picked up by her Father during the vortex club party and narrowly misses the tornado.
I think it should be easy to tell Kate to leave town after you already saved her, so there’s no circumstances that could lead to Max not even getting the option to warn her.
Warren
After Max reunites with Chloe after her junkyard death, everything goes on as normal with Max convincing Chloe to follow her and give up her plans to take revenge for Rachel. However, what does change is that Max has an opportunity to text Warren to tell him to leave town.
She only gets this choice if you hugged/kissed him in the alternative timeline. If you just left, Max won’t warn him because she’s far more worried about Chloe. However, if you did show Warren platonic or romantic affection you’ll get the chance to text two things. Either “Leave town” or “Watch the weather and tell people to evacuate.”
If you tell him to leave town, he trusts Max’s judgement after all the weird weather and drives out of Arcadia Bay. If you tell him stay and watch the weather, it can be presumed that Warren was one of the first to spot the storm and perished telling people to evacuate.
Brooke and Daniel
For these two you can save them either separately or at one time.
To save them both at once, you'll need to tell Daniel to go to the Vortex Club party and accept Warren's movie invitation. Like in canon, they'll make a date to visit an art gallery, but unlike in-game, they'll leave Arcadia the same night of the Vortex Club party to get to their destination by Saturday.
But what if you don’t want to tell Daniel to attend the party or to accept Warren’s invitation? Well those are valid choices in a choice based game so let’s talk about how you can save them separately.
You can save Daniel if you allowed him to draw your picture and told him not to go to the vortex club party. Daniel will thank Max for being a good friend, and admit that he’s been thinking of taking a break from Arcadia Bay to get away from the bullying. Here Max can either tell him to stick it out in Arcadia Bay to beat the bullies, or encourage him to leave as soon as possible so he doesn’t have to deal with it anymore. If you tell him to leave then he’s long gone by the time the storm hits.
You can save Brooke by declining Warren’s invitation and convincing her to let you fly her drone. At the Vortex Club party she’ll be friendly talking to you since she doesn’t view you as a threat for Warren’s affection. There Max will be able to bring up the strange weather, and Brooke will admit that it scares her because science can’t explain it. Max can then say either “I’m sure it’ll be okay” or “Maybe your guts right.” If you tell Brooke it’ll be fine she’ll thank Max and go back to the party. If you say that her gut is right Max will imply that something is wrong and suggest that Brooke get out while she can. Brooke takes that advice and misses the storm.
Samuel And A Squirrel
If you want Samuel to survive you’ll need to go on a quest.
In episode three on campus, you can find an injured squirrel in the custodial room. Its leg will be hurt, but it's nothing that can't be fixed. If you alert Samuel to the squirrel, you'll get a brief cutscene where Samuel bandages its leg and puts it in a cardboard box to recover. Here he'll thank Max for looking out for his squirrels and admit that this entire week has felt off with the animals dying.
At this point, Max can say either, "I'm glad you're here to look out for them," or "Something feels evil about this week." If you tell Samuel you're glad he's there, he'll say that a part of him will always be on campus. If you tell Samuel something feels evil, he'll agree and say that Max knows more than anyone, so he'll take her word for it. He tells Max he's leaving the bay and assures her that the injured squirrel they saved will travel with him. When Max asks about the rest of the squirrels, Samuel tells her that he gets the sense Arcadia Bay isn’t after the squirrels, but the people that live there.
Alyssa
This one is simple! If protected Alyssa in each episode then you can tell Alyssa “This town is bad luck” at the Vortex Club party. She’ll take this seriously since Max seemed always knew when to protect her, and decide to leave town until Monday.
Evan
You can save Evan by exploring.
While you’re in the school at night during Episode 3, you can find a brochure for an art gallery opening on Saturday in the classroom. If you locate the paper then you can tell Evan about it during Episode 4, and he’ll respond with excitement. He’ll exclaim that he has to go and thank Max for letting him know. Therefore he’s safe from the storm.
Dana
You can save Dana by finding her pregnancy test.
At the Vortex Club she’ll tell Max that everything going on in her life has been a lot lately, and it’s all been overwhelming. Max can either tell her “I’m sure you’ll figure it out” or “Maybe you should take a trip.” If you tell her to take a trip she’ll think that’s a great idea and leave Arcadia Bay. But if you tell her to figure it out or don’t find the test then she’ll stay and die in the storm.
Taylor
To warn Taylor you’ll need to comfort Victoria, be kind to her, and not blame her for Kate’s suicide attempt. If you do that Taylor will view Max as a kind person and be willing to open up to her at the Vortex Club party.
Instead of dancing you’ll find Taylor sitting in a corner looking sad. If you ask her what’s wrong with all the above requirements met she’ll tell you that her Mom is in the hospital again. She’ll say that her Mother told her to stay and enjoy the party, but she’s worried and wants to visit her in the hospital outside Arcadia. As Max you can either tell Taylor to “Enjoy the party” or “Go to your Mom.” Telling Taylor to enjoy the party will end with her cheering up and going to dance. Telling Taylor to go to her Mom will convince her to leave Arcadia Bay.
Justin
During episode four on campus when Chloe talks to Justin, you’ll have the option to tell her to warn him that a storm is coming. Now this is going to be controversial...but this would be based on your Before The Storm choices. I know that Before Storm came out after Life Is Strange, but I’m making a fun post on the internet so let’s just pretend otherwise.
Justin will accept Chloe’s warning if you did the majority of these things in Before The Storm: Tell him to cover his weed smell, purchased weed from Frank, refused to empty your pockets, told Steph that Rachel is single (Because he’s into Rachel.), and did well in the play. You don’t have to do all of these things, just 3/5 of them.
If he accepts Chloe’s warning, Max will ask Chloe what she said and Chloe will jokingly respond “That weed is way better in Portland.” If Chloe’s warning isn’t believed then she’ll tell Max “Justin was a bust.” and leave it at that.

Brooke Scott didn't do well with people. She very much preferred robotics and gaming over actual social interaction. Ever since Monday afternoon though, she felt like she was losing her mind. She needed a sanity check, and Daniel, Alyssa and Stella were the closest thing she had to friends. She didn't know exactly how she managed it, but she somehow convinced the three of them to accompany her to the lighthouse.
"Look!" Brooke said, almost frantically gesturing to the vista. "What do you see?"
"The… sunset?" Daniel replied.
"Yes, the sunset," Brooke replied. "And what direction does the sun set?"
"West?" Alyssa offered.
"Yes," Brooke replied, glad that they seemed to be following along. "So, if that's west, what direction is Blackwell?"
She pointed to the school's bell tower in the distance.
"Southwest?" Alyssa said.
Brooke whipped out her phone and pulled up the photo she had taken the day before.
"Okay, now look at this," she said. "The eclipse happened at sunset, right? Directly west. Right as you walk out the front door of Blackwell."
Her three companions exchanged confused glances. Brooke was barely able to restrain herself from rolling her eyes. She dug into her backpack to pull out her notebook and opened it to the painstakingly drawn map of Arcadia Bay.
"Here's Blackwell," she said, pointing to the dot on the map. "And this is the direction of sunset viewed from Blackwell. West, right? Now, here's the lighthouse, see how it's definitely not northeast of Blackwell?"
Brooke began digging in her bag once more. She produced a protractor and an orienteering compass that she had borrowed from the science lab.
She stood up and began measuring the angle of the sun.
"Um, Brooke?" Daniel asked tentatively. "We're not really science and math kids. Wouldn't it be better to ask Warren about this sort of thing?"
Brooke froze. Her face darkened and her grip tightened on the compass.
"Brooke wanted to go to that Planet of the Apes thing with Warren," Stella explained quietly to Daniel. "But then he went and asked Max instead."
"Oh…"
Warren also apparently continued to forget that Brooke even existed. After the events of the past couple days, she was done pining over him.
"Can we focus, please?" Brooke asked testily.
"Brooke-" Stella began, before Alyssa interrupted.
"No, I wanna see where she's going with this."
They all looked at her in surprise and she hunched her shoulders at the attention.
"Um… something weird is definitely going on," Alyssa explained. "Three days in a row Max has warned me about stuff before it happened. I don't know if it's related, but it's super weird. Don't tell me you guys haven't noticed all the strange stuff going on."
Stella looked between them and shrugged.
"Thanks," Brooke said to Alyssa, not quite sure what to make of the idea of somebody having her back.
She double checked the compass again and sat on the bench that overlooked the bay. Her companions gathered around as she examined her map.
"Okay, so if the southern tip of the bay is here, then the sun is…"
She marked the direction of the sun with the protractor.
"...this direction," she finished.
"Um, Brooke," Stella said, "that's not west."
"No, it shouldn't be, but the compass says it is."
She handed the compass to Stella who raised it up to double check the angle.
"Okay, that is super weird," Stella said finally. "Like Twilight Zone weird."
"I don't understand," Daniel said as he examined the map. "I may not be a math kid, but I do understand perspective. This doesn't make any sense."
"No, it doesn't," Brooke replied. "Unless Arcadia Bay isn't obeying the laws of euclidean geometry."
