this is just a beginners guide to the pentacles suit - i won't go into imagery, color use, etc. these are key phrases that come to mind when i think of the cards - NOT how they should be directly applied. they needs to be thought about situationally and the cards / when they are in combos they can change or alter their meanings of any reading.

ace of pentacles (1)

astrological equivalent: taurus venus

upright: opportunity, gifts, new job, unexpected money gains, beginnings, increased prosperity, abundance, unlimited potential, new love, moving in together, and stability

reversed: not seeing the opportunities you have around you, trying too hard to make something work, working too hard, going in the wrong direction, controlling energy, and something is different than what you imagined

two of pentacles (2)

astrological equivalent: virgo mars

upright: work-life balance, flow with emotions, a level up, momentary disruption, only take on what you can handle, and feeling overwhelmed

reversed: tension in life, destabilization, irresponsibility with your finances, spending unnecessarily, needing moderation, and off track

three of pentacles (3)

astrological equivalent: capricorn mercury

Ace of Pentacles: Luz Discovering the Light Glyph

Upright: New opportunities, abundance, resources, prosperity, security, manifestation, needs met

Reversed: Lost opportunities, lack of resources, deficiency, instability, bad investment

The Aces in tarot all represent potential, opportunities, and new beginnings. They are the "seeds" of their respective elements, and it is up to you to choose whether and how to nurture them to their full potential. As the suit of Earth, the Pentacles are concerned with the material world: things such as career, finances, health, creation, and the earth itself. The Light glyph is incredibly important to and representative of Luz herself; she first finds it in a time of great need—both because she and King are in immediate danger, and because she has been doubting she may ever be able to learn any magic at all. Finding the Light glyph enables her to save herself, King, and Eda, and on a broader scale, unlocks an opportunity for Luz to have her lifelong dream of being a witch fully realized—a sort of "career" opportunity that later grants her the ability to earn money when Eda loses her powers. On the most fundamental level, this moment represents the beginning of her relationship with the Isles and its magic, the true foundation for her success as a witch. She can't quite call herself a witch, not yet—but now that she knows there's a wellspring of glyph magic to discover, she can become one—if she puts in the effort.

The first card for this pile was The Sun reversed. This suggests a lack of optimism. There may be a tendency for you to generally expect the worst from people and situations, which may be blocking you from some good things.

The second card for this pile was the Ace Of Pentacles. This card generally represents some solid opportunity that is good for you. The potential behind this opportunity may not be obvious at first though, especially if you are at a place where you are expecting the worst outcome.

The third card for this pile was Justice. This card can represent karma. Basically, getting back some of the energy you’ve been giving back. This doesn’t necessarily mean karma coming in now, but thinking about if a mindset you’ve had lately will give you the karma that you want in your life.

The first oracle card for this pile was Innocence. Basically, this card is about releasing heavy and negative feelings to try to look at things with an unbiased perspective without pessimism interfering.

Pile 2/Teddy

The first card for this pile was the Knight of Pentacles. This is a card associated with focusing on the details and thoroughness. In this case, with the context of this spread, I feel like this may be a bit of over-attention to details. Like making things harder on yourself because you’re picking up every small task that you notice needing done.

The second card for this pile was the 10 of Wands. This is a card associated with feeling worn out from everything. Despite this exhaustion, you are still persevering through it and doing what you need to.

The third card for this pile was the 9 of Wands. This card is also associated with perseverance and not backing down. There may be a bit of stubbornness with this card, although this stubborn behavior isn’t necessarily unjustified.

The first card for this pile was the 10 of Cups reversed. This suggests some unhappiness in some close connections in your life, possibly even in your home life.

The second card for this pile was The World. This card suggests that something is coming to an end. This is generally an ending that brings a sense of accomplishment and/or happiness. I feel like this ending is something to do with that 10 of Cups reversed, whether it is letting go of connections that make you miserable or ending things that are having a negative impact on connections in your life.

The third card for this pile was the Knight Of Cups. This card is associated with taking action on your emotions. This may be doing things that show a more sensitive side of yourself and/or doing things to express your emotions rather than holding them in.

The first oracle card for this pile was Ground Yourself. This card discusses finding a balance between the physical and spiritual parts of your life. This may also be advising you to find ways to ground yourself emotionally with things like meditation.

Hi all!

As my readings gain more traction, I thought I would introduce myself :)

First, some general facts:

My name is Deanna

I'm from the US

I have a 13 y.o. kitty named Robbie

I'm a Sagittarius sun & rising, with a Cancer moon

My favorite tarot card is the Ace of Pentacles. It's my sign that everything is going to be okay.

In more recent years, observing nature has helped me realize how big, beautiful, and full of possibilities the world is.

I began my tarot journey in 2021 after a bad break up. I started by watching EsoTarot & Kino Tarot on YouTube. Readings were resonating SO hard and I thought, "There's got to be something in this tarot thing." So, I bought my first pack of cards and started doing readings for myself. For me, I believe that tarot cards can provide really amazing insights on your past, present, and future. Tarot cards can make you think about, "What did I get out of that experience?" They can make you think, "What can I do right now to feel less anxious?". And they can help you look forward, "Based on energies right now, what is the likeliest outcome?". I focus mostly on energies when I do readings. What is my intuition telling me? What am I feeling? Some readers can see images and hear messages, but I'm not quite that in tune with the universe yet. Speaking of the universe, that is my main guide. There are a few archangels I resonate with, but even I'm still discovering all that is really out there. When I do readings, rather than asking "spirit" I tend to ask "universe". These might have the same connotations to you and that's okay! But if they don't, I wanted you to know that :) In the end, regardless of if people "believe in" tarot, I think there is always something to offer. There's always takeaways that can be implemented. My goal as a reader is that you leave my readings with a little more hope that life will be just fine ❤️
