Facts about Intergalactruce (Bones’ Cancelled Game)
Tumblr media
During the second half of 2018, Bones announced their work in an original RPG game named “Intergalactruce”, it had a style similar to Undertale’s and it seemed to follow lore similar to the old Intergalactic Strife fighting game idea they had. Not a lot about the game itself ever got to see the light of day due to development crunch, extreme pressure from Bones combined with various unneeded mechanics for a game of its style.
A lot of people remained curious about what would have been of the game before it died and so here’s the answer from someone previously involved in its development in case anyone still wants to know random facts about the lore and the game itself. This is going to be long because I know more about this game than I wish I did, I might separate it into various parts if necessary or just answer asks about things anyone is still curious about.
1 - Introduction, The Quiz + The Guilds (and their lore)
Tumblr media
The starting point of the game past the menu would be exposition to lore similar to Undertale’s intro, this tells the player about Rascal who is not only a lonely god creating everyone that gets sent into the universe, he is one of Bones’ self inserts. The introduction explains that shooting stars fall close to him every so often and from them souls can be created, asked various questions, determined the body they will inhabit and get sent off to the real world.
Tumblr media
The game would then give you a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon like quiz with way more questions than it would need to have, by the end of it you would get yourself assigned with a specific guild from Robots, Animals, Monsters, Ghouls, Humans and Aliens and then followed by a few paragraphs trying to explain the kind of person you are. Those paragraphs are almost entirely Bones pointing out flaws of their friends that had created the leaders for each guild, the only exception being Ghouls who had maybe the longest and most positive description. You can guess which guild Bones was the leader of. (If you want a bonus fun fact, the most insulting description belonged to the Aliens, which was ran by Bones’ partner)
Tumblr media
After way too much effort to get yourself a guild, you then choose one body out of 3 possible choices for each guild, write your own name and get sent off to the game. But of course, being created by who it was created, the first (and only) guild that had been worked on was Ghouls, the guild ran by The Countess, yet another of Bones’ self inserts.
Countess is more commonly known in the Intergalactruce universe as a being older than the gods and being the one who created every single guild in some way or another (for some reason?) I can barely make any sense of why she is everywhere and did everything, but the real answer is simple and it is “Being Bones’ Self Insert”
Tumblr media
This is a whole lot, yeah? Countess named “Animals”
Tumblr media
Countess developed the first ever human language (English) and invented the term “Homosapien” because... Why not.
Tumblr media
Countess, a being almost as old as time, suddenly has a younger sister and nobody decided to ask why or how + She was born so differently from humans and animals that Countess simply created a new term to call her sister, and if that doesn’t already reek of slurs then simply see how poorly she treats the future (and younger) Monster Guild Leader.
Tumblr media
Robots were created by Humans but they were not allowed to have an official guild until Countess gave them approval. This seems rather simple, maybe even logical judging that she created all the ones before, but trust me, it gets dumb again later.
Tumblr media
Comes in the aliens.
Tumblr media
Countess hooks up with an alien who was not even previously stated to be important, he was simply there and suddenly they had seven children. Feels important to point out R’lyeh was a self insert of Bones’ partner. He also randomly goes MIA along with her children and never returns (causing Countess to be bitter towards him for ages to come), the reason being that he for all that its worth went out into a business trip somewhere in space that causes time to move slower, he had been away for a week at most in his eyes, but years for the rest of the universe.
Tumblr media
I can’t even begin to fathom why this comes out of nowhere, I wish luck to whoever tries to figure it out. Coming next is how the guild lore ends and a throwback to Countess having to give the seal of approval for every guild, her child(ren) that simply cannot recognize her due to now being a skeleton the same shape as their mother with a voice not much different and the same name as her for as far as it was explained, ask for her approval of the Alien Guild
Tumblr media
Which makes no sense considering Countess might as well have been deemed dead from black hole mauling and looked so different one can only imagine why she still has such an authority over the guilds.
Tl;dr for this section: Everyone in the universe is created by Rascal (Bones) and put into guilds that were all founded by Countess (Bones).
Fun fact, Bones has 5 self inserts in this game: Dio, Rascal, Klart, Rebornica and Countess.
2 - Unnecessary Content Because Lore Is Too Long
Trust me, I will talk about more extremely complex lore from this game, but this post is already too long. Feel free to send specific asks if you are curious about anything specific and I will try my best to answer.
Incredibly Big Maps
Tumblr media
This is one floor of the Ghoul Manor, there are 6 total guilds with way more than this.
Too many player characters, no variety.
Tumblr media
3 possible characters for each of the 6 guilds meaning there were 18 total characters with basically no difference between them mechanic wise and the only difference lore wise is their prologue taking place in their respective guild. (Bones also purposefully rewrote prologues by their other writers in development to be exactly the same format, so it wouldn’t be any more interesting)
The Buddy Book + The Calendar
Tumblr media
In theory, the Buddy Book was a good idea as it’d be basically a catalog of NPCs you encountered with the added bonus of being a cute photo album with friends you’d make along the way the more you interacted as the story went, but eventually it became an almost dating simulator mechanic that required actually building your friendship and trust with NPCs by doing Many very useless and very specific tasks for them
The second useless book is the calendar, since it was meant to work as a fully-working real life calendar and meant the game could span over an year if you just kept making your character sleep. It also connected with specific events such as taking part of guild specific holidays (A whole different can of worms, that‘d require making separate versions for all the already-too-many areas of the game for each holiday) and your character’s 21st birthday forward.
The Motivation Meter
I said your character could sleep, there is a reason why: The motivation meter is the kind of mechanic you should see in Stardew Valley but absolutely not in Undertale, you’d only have so much you could do in a day before your character got too tired and unmotivated to keep going during the day and would either have to sleep or do activities and minigames halfway through the plot just to recover points necessary to do a task.
Tumblr media
Tl;dr for this section: Bones couldn’t be a game designer even if they were the last one on earth.

Headcannon: Cheng Xiao Shi has Autophobia (Caution: Spoilers!!)
Tumblr media
If you watched episode 4, you probably already know that Xiao Shi has PTSD. We get a hint that his parents (might have) died during an earthquake on May 12th of 2008.
Believe it or not, we can tell a lot about his character just by this piece of information alone.
On the exterior, he seems like a really happy person. He gets along well with others and isn't afraid of expressing himself.
Except, he isn't.
You see, I myself have autophobia, a phobia of losing people or being alone. Being left alone.
To experience something as tragic as that may affect his view on the world, especially since he was so young when it happened.
Although he may appear ecstatic on the outside, on the inside, he's afraid of other people thinking him otherwise. He's afraid that if he wasn't how he was presenting himself right now, everyone would turn on him. Everyone would leave him behind.
But of course, this is just a theory.

Furby timeline reversal theoryyyy
Tumblr media
So yea!! Here it is!
To start from the left because of course I’m gonna take this opportunity to give a long winded sermon about how connects are aliens,
Connects first and foremost, as stated, are aliens. They have little antennae that grow as the connect matures, as evidenced by the app.
There are two theories for why past furbys don’t have antennae including,
A, They developed this as a means to further their species as assistants to humans
or B, given the reversed theory, their coming to earth resulted in the use of their antennae being phased out for one reason or another, for example, they were space faring species that stayed connected using their antennae (Hence why they only have one and not two)
They also have a very dynamic concept of civilization, again, as evidenced by the app in which the connect furblings participate in activities including fishing, throwing parties, and harvesting resources.
From there, I say there ended up being three different colonies.
Firstly, the connects who stayed space faring, staying the same until they decided to come to earth,
Second, The 2012, booms and crystals come to earth. They still maintain much of their civilized nature but develop to be less like their predecessors, the connects. Their colors begin to increase in variation as humans take them in to protect against predators. A select few manage to survive in the wild however, though the majority of these furbys are kept as companions.
Third are the 98′s and 99′s. You may be asking “But wouldn’t they have been the first to be on earth? They have patterning of animals from earth!” But alas, my dear poppet, I have to abide by furby canon as best I can...
Anywho, the OGs are the species that live on the clouds. They develop ears that they use for flight rather than... whatever the heck furby connects use their for (I’m not making things up, the furby babies in that one cd rom game did use their ears to fly right???) and their bodies become compact and light to assist in traveling from cloud to cloud.
So, my theory is the first series is the true OG cloud furbys. Their coloring deriving from the affect the sun bleaching or discoloring their fur OR
Their colors may also be a form of camouflage (I.e Leopards and wolves hide in grey rainy clouds, witch cat and tuxedo hide in stormy clouds, and snowball hide on the whitest of clouds.
As the 99s and 98′s come down to earth more and more frequently, likely a select few returning to tell their cloud-bound buddies about the world below, they begin developing new pelt colorations. As these colors increase, they get to be more striking and unique like their connect ancestors.
And finally! We have the 2005.
They still have some color but overall, are much more drab compared to all the other furby gens, having evolved to be entirely independent from humans. Thus, they begin using primitive tools. Their muscly stout bodys also make them a powerhouse for survive and they have the capability to shed their fleshy beaks for sharp ones depending on their dietary needs.
And seriously finally, the funky 2005′s.
These colorful babes are either a result of humans breeding them for aesthetic or the 2005 still being a compatible mate with 2012′s, booms and crystals, or perhaps even still with 99′s and 98′s.
And that’s about as much as I can think about, my brain is fried for tonight.

So here’s my interpretation of Deltarune
Kris is themed around Chara. They wear the same shirt. They do stuff like scare their friends for a laugh, they’re both Asriel’s sibling.
the Dark World is Undertale, where the monsters were sealed underground via the Barrier, and Deltarune is the light world, where they weren’t. thus Ralsei is Asriel, because we all know dremurrs suck at fake names.
So Kris is lightworld Chara. Kris seems a lot less murdery than Chara. But they’re both still kind of troublemakers, and both very Determined children. Chara’s Determined enough to kill everyone. Kris is determined enough to seize control of themselves from you, and is getting up in the middle of the night to eat an entire pie, regardless of whatever you would have made them do otherwise.
Sans of course knows all of this because he’s Sans
but that’s just a theory. A game theoryyyy.

What is your theoryyyy?
Okay it’s a total reach and honestly I’m just imagining theories as they come. But according to the creators they’re telling someone else’s story with out anyone really realizing. Like the series is telling another characters story with a beautiful ending but no one notices it because they’re so focused on Eleven and her powers.
I’m just thinking maybe Mike feels so connected to Eleven because they’re similar. Like sure maybe it’s a crush, but they seem to understand each other on a stronger level than anyone. Everything Mike does in the game, happens in real life. Not that he’s causing but perhaps he is a piece of the puzzle. Eleven found Mike and his friends, Mike found Eleven. Elevens uses her powers most around Mike and maybe he makes her stronger?? Again this isn’t so much about romantic connection, but rather that he’s gifted but hasn’t realized it.
ITS A REACH DONT JUDGE ME
