Happy New Year and onto 2024!

2023 was not a "quantity" art year for me, but it was absolutely a productive one. In Jan 23, I decided I would spend the year exploring different mediums to find a good fit, and loved the journey! I am sad that I don't have many final pieces to show this year, but I'm pleased it was really clear really fast that oils are screaming at me as my favourite - and of course, my beloved colour pencils share the stage!

And I wish I could show you some of the work I have done in 2023 for my day-job but until we release publicly, for now have a graphic of the game I worked on last :)

May there be much art in 2024! xxx

Ghost kitty 🥺

Started as a study sketch for Remlit anatomy but ended as a full piece + onions…

Also I like to think a bittersweet headcanon that the ghost kitty were owned by one of the Skyloft resident that has long passed away (more likely Pheoni, the hand ghost in the dorm toilet) and maybe an extra sidequest that you need to befriend the kitty and play with it so it can finally depart peacefully with its owner.

(Might be doing a short illustrated fic about this, so keep an eye for it!)

I like the hidden depth of Skyward having a small library of book in his room (along with carving tools + statues!) , I love the headcanon that he's actually smarter than he looks despite being lazy and goofy in SS.

And having a hobby and skills in wood carving, I think he loves to study Biology related subject, especially in animal/plant illustrations for carving reference.
