コンコン、とノックの音がして、同居人がひょっこり顔を出す。お腹すいちゃった、お散歩しない？との誘いに二つ返事で答え、マスクを着けていそいそと外に出る。近頃はほんの少しの外出ですら楽しみで仕方がないし、それが晴れた春の日のことであればなおさら。監獄から抜け出すかのような心地だ、まるで。

うららかな日差しの中、水色と橙に淡く照らされる通りを歩く。お互いにリモートワークをしているから、体がなまって息が詰まることにはじゅうぶん共感し合っていて、最寄りのコンビニにめぼしいものが無いのはむしろ好都合だった。十字路を跨ぎつつ、手に持ったフィルムカメラをおもむろに構えると、てきとうな格好で来ちゃったなあ、とはにかみながらぼやかれた。日常だからね、と返して残りのフィルムの枚数を確認する。明日は同居人の引っ越しの日。
