Right Person, Wrong Time
Five years ago, she was set up by her stepsister. Five years later, she returned with all the success that life had to offer—including the position of Chief Designer! Colton Gardner arrogantly proclaimed that if she were to follow him, she would have all the earthly wonders—money, jewelry, properties, you name it. Anything that she asked for shall be granted. Such a proposition was rejected by Nicole Anderson, who countered that he instead had to bear responsibility for sleeping with her five years ago. His expression changed upon hearing that because he never expected the woman to not understand the meaning of a casual fling!

The Last Thing He Told Me: A Novel
Tumblr media
Lots of people will take this opportunity to describe what happens in this book, so I won’t. What I will say is that I read it in a single sitting and enjoyed it immensely. The story that starts out is not the story that the author ends up telling. What I will say is that this is such a new twist on stepmothers and second wives, that that alone makes it worth reading.

Now: *I finally get to a point of opening to my new therapist and talk about my anxieties after years of being afraid to because of the 2019 incident. Malibu Rising: A Novel
Tumblr media
I absolutely loved The Seven Husband's of Evelyn Hugo. I liked Daisy Jones and The Six and I really thoroughly enjoyed Malibu Rising. That's 3 in a row really "good reads' ' by author Taylor Jenkins Reid for me. I'm turning into an automatic downloader now for her reads , no book summary needed for me. I loved the storyline of this family . I loved the kids, the heartache, their bond ,everything and everyone in this read touched my heart. I loved the back stories of the generations, how everyone met and started , the paths they took , the good ,bad ,sad and very selfish. I laughed, I shed a tear or two ,I wanted to punch a few faces in but it was all my reading pleasure. Author Taylor Jenkins Reid tells this family saga as if Evelyn Hugo and Daisy Jones had a love child and they named it "Malibu Rising ".I loved the way the story started and ended and everything in the middle. This book kept me binge reading, seriously I got nothing done but reading and it was my absolute pleasure. It's that kind of read, the kind that you want to slow down and savor but you know you can't because you have to know everything that is happening to these characters. I truly wish there were more books out there like this because these are my favorite kind of reads. Thank you author Taylor Jenkins Reid for 3 in a row of excellent and very entertaining reads .This author has hit her stride in the historical fiction genre and I absolutely love it. Keep them coming please TJR because you have many fans out there. I've been hooked since The Seven Husband's of Evelyn Hugo and I'm not going anywhere. I promise you if you loved or liked The Seven Husband's of Evelyn Hugo and or Daisy Jones and The Six you will be very happy with this book. I highly recommend it.

Takarazuka Flower Troupe Top Star Yuzuka Rei Retirement Press Conference – "Want to meet a new self" – Her answer to the generic marriage question is...
(Source from Sponichi)
Takarazuka Revue Flower Troupe Top [Star] Yuzuka Rei will retire next May and had her retirement press conference in Osaka city on 16th [of August].
In a pure white suit and pants, she said with a smile "Knowing that this time has come has felt once again real to me, that I am nervous." She recalled, "Takarazuka is my youth. To me, this is where I have spent my time fruitfully.
Her intention of graduation came in February. "I am filled with memories of Takarazuka that I thought 'now is the time I retire'. I want to meet myself from the outer world that I haven't known about yet." Also retiring is the Top Musumeyaku Hoshikaze Madoka who also expressed [retirement] a month later when the two talked, which [Hoshikaze] said "Please let me [retire] along with you". She told the troupe members the day after the performance on the 12th, a day before the 13th which is the Senshuuraku day of the Takarazuka Grand Theatre performance "Singing Lovebirds" "GRAND MIRAGE!"
When asked about her memorable performances, "All of them, they exist like duplicates of myself, so it is difficult to choose just one." But when asked about memorable sights, she immediately answered, "The smiles of the audience appear in my mind". "Even wearing a mask, I could see their sparkling eyes, so I love the connections with the audience. Now that I think of it, those are great. Whatever the time, I am grateful for the time we should share with the audience and that they are supporting us warmtly.
Yuzuka is born in Tokyo. She was assigned to Flower Troupe after having her debut stage in 2009, and captured the attention of the audience from her gorgeous stage poise and dancing. Embarking on the stable star-tracked path, she became the Top Star in November 2019. But due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus that her Top debut performance "Haikara-san ga Tooru" was delayed 4 months later and her Top [Star] career was also affected by the coronavirus a lot. "Corona was when the world drastically changed. Those who support me are the audiences' words, the staff members...these people's sentiments", she spoke. As for the general question of “marriage”, she replied, “I would have worn a rubber band on my left ring finger, but I don’t have the courage (LOL). Of course, I’m available”, she replied cheekily with a smile.
Her [last] Sayonara performance [in Takarazuka] will be the musical "Arc en Ciel ~The Rainbow over Paris~" starting on February 9 2024 in the Takarazuka Grand Theatre. The Tokyo Takarazuka Theatre will be May 26. Later Hoshikaze will also have a press conference at the Takarazuka Revue for her retirement announcement.

Yooo I just read station eleven it was fantastic
(saw your tag on a post)
Also I really want to see those graphic novels it’s a shame they’re not real
Hiii I love Station Eleven so much. I can go on for years about it!
I first read it in December 2019, when news of coronavirus was just breaking. So that was obviously an anxiety-provoking experience haha. And then I re-read it last year, "post pandemic", and it holds up so well! Apocalyptic/sci-fi stories that centre the beauty of humanity, art, music, culture, cooperation, community, etc is one of my fav genres (re Mad Max Fury Road, Arrival, etc.). And yes my favourite bit was those graphic novels, it was so satisfying to read how she came up with the idea, the description of the text and the artwork - and it was brilliant to see how it touched multiple lives. I want to read them too!
Have you watched the HBO show based on the book? I still haven't, I'm a little scared it might not capture the book's essence haha. Also, I recommend the author's other books - Glass Castle and Sea of Tranquility - they don't reach the heights of Station Eleven imo but they're still pretty good, and they're set in parallel/overlapping timelines so some familiar characters turn up :)

Just saying man. If Covid was a plot to instill a facist regime across the world, why go with an accelerationist plan? The movement was going very well from 2016 to 2018; slow and steady. The pandemic brought on social unrest and a resistance movement. Sounds more like they were sabotaging themselves (whoever "they" are) by attempting to bring societal collapse.
No, I didn't say it was planned or a plot by the elite to subjugate the people, the release of the virus from the Wuhan Institute of Virology was completely accidental, the CCP's mismanagement of containing the spread most likely wasn't deliberate either.
Governments will use any crisis to gain power, and once they have this power they will never relinquish said power, we have seen this time and time again, from the 1980's when Pierre Trudeau created a crisis to enact emergency powers and install his previously rejected Charter of Rights and Freedoms, (which overwrote the Canadian constitution by adding a line which basically reads as "you have all the rights and freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution, unless the government says so") to 9/11.
Hell, both Canada and the US have had to suffer under 100 years of paying a "temporary" wartime tax, known as income tax, and before anyone cites leftist articles supporting the taxation let us go over history, in Canada at least, the original tax act of 1917 was to finance the war effort, all eleven pages of it. Finance Minister White said it would be a temporary tax and so insisted it be called a "war tax" so that once the war ended, it would be. Instead, in 1921 the government added a sales tax, and even more over the years since.
Governments do not relinquish power, unless they are made to.
We have no evidence that the Governments of the world had ever planned for the Coof outbreak, well, other than
Event 201 is a damning thing for those who remember it, it was held in 2019, it simulated an outbreak of a novel zoonotic coronavirus transmitted from bats to pigs to people that eventually became efficiently transmissible from person to person, leading to a pandemic. The pathogen and the disease it caused were modeled largely on SARS, but it is more transmissible in the community setting by people with mild symptoms.
The scenario ends at the 18-month point, with 65 million deaths. The pandemic begins to slow due to the decreasing number of susceptible people. The pandemic continues at some rate until there is an effective vaccine or until 80-90% of the global population had been exposed.
The Governments of the world reacted the way they did because they trained themselves to do so, this isn't even the first event of its kind, they run scenarios like this every year at Davos, from Nuclear engagements to viral epidemics.
But the truly terrifying thing aren't the world leaders, but those who have openly admitted to infiltrating governments around the world.
Lead by a man who decried the Great Reset as a conspiracy despite his own website having this and he himself having authored a book called COVID-19: The Great Reset.
A man, and an organization that wants you to own nothing and be happy by 2030, fucking German economists.
They're still moving forward with the WEF's plans for digital IDs, which work the same as China's social credit system.
Listen, my point is, they do want you under their thumb, they aren't the most competent or smartest people, but they are persistent, they will whittle away at your rights until you're not when sure you had them in the first place, hell, most Canadians don't even know that prior to Pierre we had a right to self defense with a weapon at that, now you can't even use pepper spray.

Highlights
"The ocular system is particularly susceptible to the COVID-19 virus with numerous symptoms having been reported across the globe."
"A variety of risk factors exist that vary from different categories such as comorbidities, demographics, and lifestyle. Both elderly age and the male gender are linked to higher severity."
"Additionally, a study analyzing 10,926 COVID-19-related deaths concluded that both South Asian and Black patient populations were found to have an increased mortality risk compared with White patients. A review of risk factors associated with COVID-19 determined that Black and other minority groups were disproportionately affected by an increased risk of hospitalization and mortality."
"hypertension could be a confounding variable in the elderly population, and arterial hypertension was more frequently seen in patients with severe COVID-19. Diabetes and obesity are other well-known risk factors for severe disease or death from COVID-19."
"Due to the novelty of COVID-19, there have yet to be any curative therapies identified. Supportive care becomes the mainstay therapy option. Supportive care can differ depending on the degree of illness severity, but it most often includes but is not limited to intravenous fluids, supplemental oxygen, and fever reducers."
"As the number of COVID-19 cases with ophthalmic infection continues to rise, further research must be conducted into the specific pathophysiology of ocular manifestations. Physicians should be informed on how to treat these symptoms, should they come into contact with those patients presenting with ophthalmic manifestations of COVID-19."
