firstly, Dazai probably wasn't 100% sure that Chuuya was actually awake up until Chuuya shot him in the head (I'll give him 80%, he's smart, he knows Chuuya, but still with just enough space to doubt)

and secondly, Dazai Is Just Like That™. Chuuya kept a perfect poker face because he's fucking used to this nonsense. Dazai is the guy who says shit like "this is why I like you" the very first day they meet and also "I spent seven years thinking of ways to kill Chuuya (we haven't seen each other for four of those)". "Whatever sleep or awake, I'm constantly thinking up ways to annoy Chuuya", anyone?

Ghosts spoilers under cut!!!!!

I ‘just’ finished the season and I have so many thoughts:

1. I am so glad no one got sucked off. Though I kinda wish Humphrey had been to be honest. I adore him but his treatment as a ghost is kinda depressing & his life was tragic and I think he deserved to be at peace

2. JAMES !!!! ANTHONY!!!!!! my heart actually heart watching that I felt like I was being torn apart. I wanted to cry I wanted to smile. Cap’s death was so sudden and tragic and his bit of backstory just left me wanting more. It’s just so fucking sweet he channelled his feeling of incompetence due to his rank and his place in society into becoming this father figure to Alison & most of the ghosts. He finally received the respect and love he deserved in death. Like he’s the one who brings them back together every single time it’s so beautiful.

3. WHY DOESNT ALISON GET TO KNOW ABOUT CAP ?!?? This is so fucking frustrating !!!

• Julian’s monologue. Oh my god. They know what their audience want. I never thought it would’ve come from him but I’m so glad it did it was perfect. The way everything came full circle was so perfect. My dream ending for this silly little show

• The ending was exactly what I wanted and needed and more. Just us panning out of Button House as they’re all watching tv together. I think I’ll have a love-hate relationship with all of the ambiguity of some things but I love that it didn’t feel so closed off and final. 1000000/10

• I hope the Xmas special flashes forward by year or so so we can see Alison & Mike’s baby

• Mike’s dream was pure nightmare fuel holy shit!! The voice was so fucking funny though (I have the sense of humour of a ten year old)

• I love how everyone had some kind of redemption. Especially Fanny 🥺 - ‘my new family’ and ‘You’re a very brave man’. And Barclay giving them old baby/kid stuff & reassuring Mike
