HII SCRIBS !! never apologise for your sore mouth but i hope you and your pup are feeling much better :') my replies might be a little sporadic from now since it's assignment season and all the days i'm not working, i have classes beginning at 8am so my schedule is not letting me relax at all :')) but unleashing my thoughts and everything in your ask box is relaxing to me so i have to wait an extra couple of days to let my excitement cool down just so i don't overwhelm or bore you with the extra length

FIRST OFF THOUGH,,, YOUR COOKIES LOOK SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE ONE IN THE VIDEO. i'm sooo in love with chocolate chip cookies when they look extra rustic and i know the only way you can achieve that is if you chop up a big block of chocolate and the flaky bits melt and dot the dough into a masterpiece. you're tempting me to try it with walnuts as well, it should be fine for me to eat given it'll be heated or 'cooked' in a way but i still have a whole bag of walnuts from the carrot cupcakes so i'll have to put that to good use because i know none of my family members will use it :')) as for the blueberry muffins i'm almost very certainly sure frozen blueberries will make the perfect substitute. blueberries aren't in season everywhere and it isn't in everyone's budget everywhere either. i think just as long as it's able to do its job in being a sweet burst of berry goodness, frozen or fresh blueberries will suffice.

i'm so glad your stew was delicious and i can just imagine that it tastes better over the next day. it's only normal for food made with so much love to taste better the next day after the flavours strengthen and all. potatoes really are a godsend please that episode would have been hilarious. but they do have a point, bland potatoes in itself would be the worst thing to eat but i completely agree that mashed potatoes are so good. my mum's recipe is the blueprint of my love for a good mash. and the recipe is so simple so if you'd like to try it one day. after boiling your potatoes, mash it with milk, butter, salt and pepper and her secret ingredient is mayonnaise. it definitely makes it much creamier but also adds a certain flavour that makes me fall in love every single time.

poor pup 😭 i hope he's able to stay warm in the upcoming colder weather with those clothes and nice, loving cuddles from you. it's only what the both of you deserve of course.

but yess i amm !!! an october libra. and it falls in spring in my country and given that i'm named after a flower, i love telling people i'm allergic to myself. truly the best self-depreciating joke out there.

duolingo is very good i have to admit, but i also used another language learning app that was very good. i can't remember the name off the top of my head but it was one of the top apps that came up so its popularity made sense. if i remember the app, i'll recommend it to you in case you ever want to pick up russian again ! and yes i only learned how to say hello in cantonese before the app i used crash so i was forced to delete it :') i'm currently learning korean in uni so maybe i'll pick up learning canto when i'm done with korean.

ahhh that's so sweet of you to say !! i'm not sure if he'll actually get it on my birthday given my mum told me to hand in a day off on my birthday but i'll still try. also i was finally able to ask what he thought of the carrot cupcakes and for some reason he thought it was lemon. really not the brightest out there but he really enjoyed it so i offered to make more if he'd ever like to have it again. aside from that he also told me he doesn't bake and he would never and i had to tell him it wasn't hard,, i can just give him the recipe because it's so easy to follow but he just doesn't have any faith in himself :') so sad maybe next time i should offer to teach him how to bake. (joking, of course)

Nonnie! Welcome back to school though ngl that 8am daily start sounds like a total ordeal! Plus work, too! In your busy schedule, i hope you're still able to find time to let loose, have fun, and just be you. My askbox is most excited to hear about all the things that make you happy 🥰

rustic choc chips give SO MUCH back bec even though you can never guess where/how they'll sit in the dough, you can always rely on them for the goopiest, most impressive melt 🤤 i'm glad you like the look of mine! i stuck them in the refrigerator for a bit before forming them into the biggest balls reason (and baking sheet space) would let me 😂 since they sat out in room temp for some time before baking, i thought they'd deflate more, but they baked into some pretty tall good boys with the most delicate crunchy exterior and melty-est chocolate interior. definitely that fall-apart-from-its-own-weight kinda cookie!

if you wanna give it a try with walnuts and cooking the walnuts help prevent your allergies, maybe try roasting them again after chopping them up? i'm totally just guessing here. haha please don't hurt yourself for the love of kitchen adventures 😅

lordy, forgive me for what i have done to the leftover stew 😂 i am almost embarrassed to admit my raccoon tendencies but i dumped them into some low-effort pasta i was making myself for a midnight snack 😂 i was looking for protein i didn't have to thaw and season from scratch and the leftover stew was at perfect eye level...👀 ((it turned out to be good pasta. and i squashed the potatoes into the sauce so it got thicker. not bad for disaster lazy food, honestly 😂)) thank you for sharing your mum's mashed potato! i've been thinking about making some for several weeks now but never got around to it! seems the universe wanted me to wait for your tip! 😉 i've previously made mine with all the same stuff your mom uses except for the mayo. now i'm super excited to see how much better it'll be with the secret ingredient! 😍

A/N: Thank you so much nonnie !<3 and don't worry, you don't bug me at all! And please don't stop asking every few days, I love getting requests! (I'm pretty sure not a lot of different people send me asks, so please continue!) I've been really in the mood to write lately (especially one-shots) but sometimes I don't really have a idea's for a plot, so let me know if you have any more ideas!

🌍 Recom Miles Quaritch He would feel so guilty and blame himself so much. How could he have been so careless to the point of hurting you? When he sees your tears, it's almost impossible for him to control his anger — he promised himself he would never hurt you, but here we are. It's honestly a scary sight; you know he's not angry at you, but he's so angry at himself that you don't even dare to say anything. Instead, you go find Ja. Once he's calmed down, he'll come to see you and make sure you're feeling better. He'll apologize over and over again, and he'll be extra affectionate to make up for what happened.

😈 Recom Lyle Wainfleet You wouldn't lie - you were fully aware of the risks when you started dating those ten 9 ft tall aliens. Maybe Lyle was too, but that didn't stop him from feeling absolutely terrible when his tail accidentally pushed you, causing you to crash into the wall. The impact against the wall made you cry out in pain, and Lyle was immediately by your side, apologizing profusely. The bump on your head wasn't too serious, but it still hurt. You reassured Lyle that everything was alright and that you weren't angry, it was just an unfortunate accident. After making sure you would be okay for a moment, he goes looking for Ja, while screaming bloody murder.

🍬 Recom Z-dog At first, she can't believe it. She never intended to hurt you so badly that you passed out. She becomes extremely angry with herself and starts yelling for you to wake up, but you don't respond. If you're curious about Z-dog's weakness, well, congratulations - you've found it. She sits by your bedside until the moment you finally wake up. She asks everyone else to leave the room, so it's just the two of you, and she genuinely looks upset for once. She knows she went too far, even for herself, so she tells you that she wouldn't blame you if you decided to break up with her. But of course, you don't, because the damage isn't permanent and accidents happen, right? She's there for you so much in the following weeks, not caring if it makes her appear weak or if people tease her (they'll get punched if they do). She just wants to make it up to you because she hates the fact that she hurt you, and she'll do anything to make it right.

🥽 Recom Walker When she realizes that it was her fault you got hurt, she'll quickly bring you back to Ja to get you fixed up. If he's not available, she'll take care of you herself. She'll feel terrible because she loves you and her role is to keep you safe, not cause you harm. You mean the world to her and she's afraid that you might lose trust in her, but that's not true at all.

😎 Recom Mansk Instant panic. He never wanted to hurt you, and it was a shock to see you hurt. He knew he had to take care of you and make it right. You tried to calm him down, but he was really upset. You knew he would never hurt you, but it was sweet to see him rushing to get the first aid kit. He patched you up and you could see how sorry he was. You gave him a kiss and told him it was okay. He hugged you tight and you felt so loved. The next day, your room was filled with your favorite things - flowers, chocolates, and new jewelry. He really knows how to make it up to you!

🧯 Recom Prager He's absolutely horrified. His biggest fear is making a mistake and causing you to be frightened of him. As soon as he realizes he's hurt you, he becomes completely frozen until he comes back to his senses. Then, he'll quickly come to where you are, embracing you tightly and apologizing sincerely. He'll hurry to take you to Ja to get you properly bandaged. You understand his fears and reassure him that you will never be scared of him, and that what happened was just a small mistake.

⚕️ Recom Ja When Ja saw the wound, he stayed calm and immediately apologized. "I'm so sorry, my love," he said before going to grab his first aid kit. Meanwhile, you stayed in the kitchen, holding your arm. Since Ja is a medic, it came as no surprise that he efficiently stitched up the wound. "All done," he announced, gently placing a bandage on it and giving it a kiss. "I really am sorry, love." For the next few days, Ja followed you around, constantly checking up on you. He even growled at anyone who got too close to you, and he made sure to remind your other partners to be extra careful, especially with their tails.

🧢 Recom Brown From the very beginning, he feels incredibly guilty. He jumps right in and does everything he can to assist. Even though it was simply an accident, he takes it to heart and is quite tough on himself. It truly saddens you because afterwards, he becomes afraid to even touch you. He believes you're scared of him and you have to reassure him that you would never be scared of him. It takes some time for the tension to ease, but once it does, he becomes even more careful and considerate around you.

📿 Recom Lopez He stood frozen in place, unsure of what to do. But then, when he heard you make a noise of pain, he sprang into action. He quickly picked you up as you applied more pressure to the wound on your lower arm, and swiftly carried you back to the med bay. He started moving everything out of his way, searching for the medical kit. Finally, he found the kit, but realized he had no idea how to help. He was more accustomed to causing harm than healing. "I got it," you said, taking the kit from his hand and starting to treat yourself. He felt awful, absolutely terrible. He just stood there, watching you, wanting to learn how to fix injuries so he could help you if it happened again. "It's okay, Lopez. You didn't hear me. I should have called out or something. It was my fault," you reassured him, even though deep down he knew it wasn't true. He shouldn't have been holding a dagger when you were the only one around. Once your arm was taken care of, you moved to hug him, and he hugged you back tightly, as a way of apologizing.

⛓️ Recom Fike After he hurts you, you feel like he needs to be the one being comforted. The moment you catch a glimpse of his pained and horrified expression, all the pain you were feeling instantly fades away. Without hesitation, you rush over to him, gently pulling him down to his knees and placing a reassuring hand on his face. You let him know that you're okay and there's absolutely no reason for him to blame himself. He's there for you, helping you clean up and making sure you're alright. From that moment on, he becomes incredibly cautious and careful around you, always mindful of your well-being. If you kindly ask him not to bother Ja to check up on you because you're perfectly fine, he'll respect your wishes. However, as time goes by, his anxiety starts to get the best of him and he can't help but seek out Ja. He confides in him, explaining what happened and requesting that he checks up on you. It's important for him to hear multiple times, from both you and your other partners, that he shouldn't blame himself for what happened.

Harry Potter! I was probably 11 when I started writing my own stories of Harry x Hermione before I really knew what fanfcition was haha. Once I got a little older and joined FF.net, I got into writing Sailor Moon fanfiction. The rest is history!

I love and adore Lidia but in my opinion, HOFAS did her a disservice. I won't write it out just in case of spoilers but that whole surprise plot was unnecessary and minimized any character growth she had. The way she acted with Ruhn in certain instances was uncalled for and it feels like he's now a third wheel in their relationship. I still love her but I don't love moments of her story in HOFAS.

hi scribssss 🍬 here againnn i apologise if it feels like i'm using as my personal diary but talking with you like this is so much fun, it feels like i haven't heard lengthy conversations like this in a long time if ever and not to mention your energy is just so bright and fun to be in :'))

but i wanted to share a little update. unfortunately i don't think mystery man will be able to have a taste of these carrot cupcakes because i didn't see him at work today and my family absolutely LOVES these cupcakes so i only have two left that probably will be all gone by the time i go back to work in two days time, but all the more reason to make them again right :D but yess ahh the sugar on top of the muffins were just the smartest move !! i don't know if it will be the same with brown sugar but i used raw sugar as the sprinkle so if you try it with brown sugar let me know how it goes because i'm imagining it to give the muffins a naughty glaze over the top 🤭

that memory really is the sweetest memory !! and that blank feeling before a huge news is dropped onto you is one of the best feelings in the world hahah super belated congrats to you and your baby team for winning thay mooting competition !! i used to hear about it in high school where my school had a mooting team but i had no idea what it was supposed to be until now basically but hearing the way you describe it makes me want to watch one now in real time,,, 🤭

i love that you mentioned raw sugar because i have never seen them before 😂 brown sugar, i have heard (google said they're the same as turbinado? the latter being a uk term? is this right?) of. muscovado sugar, i know and love. i always assumed muscovado was the rawest sugar could go, but apparently it isn't the same as raw sugar! so i went down the rabbithole tryna figure out what raw sugar is and learned from here. also able to confirm that i DEFINITELY have not seen raw sugar yet in my life 😅 i think maybe i'll use a mix of brown and white? the white may give it the crisp, and the brown a caramel-y glaze when it melts? 🤔 i'll let you know when i find out! hahaha

thank you! it is a heartwarming memory. one i'll keep pinned to my soul forever 💓 you had moot court in high school? you guys so advanced!!! what were your moot topics? high school debate teams, yeah, definitely heard. but moot court - WHOAH! there are yt vids on moot court! the world championships of that tourney our baby team joined are livestreamed and the video saved. i can't find the full championship round for any of the years, but this is pretty much what goes on. two people from each team grilled by a panel and having to defend their "client" like that. you appreciate it so much more if you know the problem (compromis) and understand the law behind it.

aaaaaaa i'm rambling now. haha all this moot court talk has made me miss this kind of extremely detailed, prepared, and high brow appellate advocacy. ❤️‍🩹 thank you for reminding me of it tonight. ❤️

It's a winter night, Tokyo streets cold, sparse. Warm, golden lights in houses, their children long gone to bed lest they be scolded by loving parents. You make a note to wear warmer gloves tomorrow, one you'll surely forget by 9.

There's a daughter and what you think her mother, on the sidewalk drinking soup. Could be tea though. Or hot cocoa. Either way, you envy them, their warmth.

The wool of your brown jacket feels crisp under your fingertips, almost uncomfortably so. You've fucked up in your decision to not wear the other one.

Ah well. Not like you're changing it now.

You spot a stranger around your age, meticulously satin stitching what seems to be a rose into a polyester sweater. Grey eyes absorbed, focused.

Snow crunches under your feet as you stumble over yourself to the bench he rests on.

When you plop yourself down, you're not sure if he notices at all. And it's not a rose, it's a red lotus. One whose poinsettia red color makes a stark contrast to the cerulean blue of the sweater.

He has coffee. Smells like it anyway, you've been told you have a keen sense for these things.

"Somebody's got bad taste in coffee."

If he hadn't noticed you before, he surely did now, his index and thumb grasping the needle mid stitch to look at you, only you. You think he must be bad at multitasking.

He smiles at you. He looks tired, like he hasn't had a good rest in centuries. "I suppose you're not a fan of Mushy then?"

"No, not that at all. Their pastries are to die for, just that the coffee can kill. How do you drink that stuff?" You return his gesture, lighter, softer.

He looks on the verge of death with how pale he is, wouldn't want to kill him with too much energy, now.

"Well, stranger, I do love the taste of their coffee."

You raise an eyebrow.

"Okay, I hate it."

You chuckle, high, bright.

"Then why do you drink it?" You ask. His smile looks less forced now, a hint of genuine laughter behind those soulless eyes. It's subtle, it's faint.

It's there, barely.

"I don't. Bought it, took one sip and forced a swallow. Now I'm gonna have to finish this, I'm not wasting 400 yen."

You giggle, you've done the same thing.

"Well, stranger, I admire your courage to finish one of those, and your lotus. It's pretty, don't know why you're embroidering in two-below-zero weather."

His smile drops, the light fades. You worry about what you've said.

"It's for a friend of mine." He says. Doesn't elaborate. You don't push.

You don't know his name, you tell him yours. Yuta, he says, Yuta, you repeat. It rolls off your tongue nicely.

"Well, mister Yuta, your finger look cold. You need help?" You ask. He tilts his head to the side, his hands outstretched with the sweater, the needle. The thread.

You lift your gloves off, the winter air stinging a familiar burn. You brush against him as you take it, the well known ink of love blooming in a patch on his left wrist.

"Oh my."

What if:

Alhaitham, having gotten off work earlier than usual because of the occasion that is his birthday, planned on taking a walk around the grand bazaar, considering that he hadn't had the time for some leisurely window-shopping (definitely not because he wants to check if that 'horrendous sculpture' (Kaveh's words, not his) was still up for sale)

But those thoughts are forced to stop when Alhaitham stops, his lips tugging in a slight frown at the bustle. It was... beyond crowded, people rushing from one stall to the other, examining the products on display.

No matter, he thinks to himself, he still has plenty of things to do to keep himself entertained. Now, he takes off for Lambard's Tavern.

But no, the archons were against him, fate wanted to have his plans crushed like a piece of paper— heck it seemed like all of Teyvat came together to plot against allowing him some simple pleasures.

Whatever was the hassle about, Alhaitham didn't need to ask. He knew. He knew all too well.

There were people flooding in and out of the tavern, and his ears can't hear anything but queries about booking a table for the 14th.

Valentine's day preparations. Ridiculous.

Why did his birthday have to land so close on the calendar to that— that annoying occasion. He couldn't even enjoy something so simple on his birthday, could he?

A sigh is close to slipping past his lips as he turns on his heels, ready to slip past the in coming guests. But no, even that wasn't going as planned.

Whoever took hold of his hand was going to face his meanest, most coldest glare, and—

"Your came!" He recognises your voice as you chime, apparently having forseen his arrival, and already dragging him deeper into the tavern. "Good good, we were just about to send the Traveler to call for you!"

Whoever was 'we'— oh, of course.

"Happy birthday!"

Alhaitham's eyes flick across the table you brought him to. He takes notice of the Traveller and Paimon, the Mahamatra and the bushy-tailed forest watcher, even Dehya. And of course, his loud, architect roommate who was currently holding up a cake to his face.

"Make a wish!" Paimon and Kaveh's voice manage to ring from the very loud background noises.

Looks like Alhaitham didn't need to think more of how to entertain himself, but when he has friends to look out for him.

Also, it looks like your birthday is coming close! Happy birthday in advance!!!!
