The first thing anyone would know about Larry is that he’s a busy man. He’s always having to cut conversations short and leave the other person wishing for more of his time. He’s not rude about it, no. He’s far too polite, to the point of it being almost comical. He gives everyone a heads up straight away, so that when he inevitably has to excuse himself, he can do so without much of a fuss.

Everyone who knows him is well aware, even those residing outside his city. The rule is if you know Larry, you just know he’s got little time to himself.

You are, however, not everyone.

You do know Larry.

You may not know the first thing everyone knows about him, but you know him.

You know what books he’s got on his shelf that he’s been meaning to read. You know that he hasn’t worn his brown shoes in two weeks because he hasn’t cleaned them yet when he got caught in that downpour. You know he’s got an annoying little tune stuck in his head since the other day because neither of you could remember what song it was. You know his coffee order remains a simple black coffee with two sugars, but honestly he’d like to try a coffee milkshake sometime. You know he’s too shy to ask because the barista always has his cup ready by the time he comes in. You know he texts with kaomoji, because to this day he still sends ヽ(>∀<☆)ノ instead of hi like a Normal person. You know he doesn’t go to sleep until he knows that the friends he went to dinner with had gotten home safely. You know his upper lip twitches when someone cracks a lame joke he secretly thinks is hilarious. You know he makes beautiful paper cranes because a thousand of them are currently in your room. You know the code to his apartment because he lets you hang out there when you get bored. You know he cares more than he lets on.

there are days when yeonjun finds you napping on the sofa, without a care in the world after a long day of work. there are days when he finds you in the kitchen, bearing your heart and soul to 0X1=LOVESONG as if your life depended on it (which he joins you at any given moment).

then... there are days where he finds you crying in the bathtub and refusing to let him in even though the door was unlocked. that gets him to bribe you with lots of love and affection and a clear pass to ordering whatever you want from takeout if you granted him access to come in.

that’s how he got to kneel by the side of the bathtub, hands cradling your cheeks to make you align gazes with him. even if you’re stubbornly staring at spot on his shoulder, he’ll gladly take it. the water is probably cold by now, sensing by your lightly clattering teeth and bare body; your arms curling in until your knuckles seemingly turn white.

he manages to coax information out of you as to why you might’ve been feeling this way. a confession later, he feels his heart swelling and shrinking because one, you trust him enough to tell him and two... how could someone as beautiful as you, not feel that way? it will never cease to make him confused, but when he does, he knows he’ll have to prioritise you above everything else. so he tries. again and again, he never stops trying to remind you that even though you feel this way, even though you don’t feel the best, he’ll–”you always see the good in people,” yeonjun murmurs, thumbs gently brushing your damp cheeks, gathering the tears that trickle down. he chuckles softly and shakes his head, lowering his eyes down to the barrier between your bodies, “even me.”

he looks up and sees how your eyes peer up to him; still so bright and radiant despite the fact you’ve probably have been crying for a good while now.

“how is it that you can’t see the good in yourself?”

yeonjun hates to admit it but it’s times like these, he knows you’re slowly returning to normal at the way humour lines your voice.

“well, maybe because i could be legally blind in thirteen countries–”

“why i oughta–”he hisses at you, squishing your cheeks to stop you from speaking. the action alone erupts laughter; from you, from him, interlaced together like a beautiful melody that reminds you the good things in life doesn’t come in a form of material things but... memories. moments. ones with yeonjun you’ll cherish even when the days got bad.

“better now?” yeonjun asks (always does).

you nod into his palms, “mhm... much better.”

((”how did i go to trying to get you out of the bathtub to you managing to convince me to join you?” he huffs into your ear, arms locked around your waist as you lean back against his chest. now the water’s warmer, having refilled the tub with hot water and the scent of lavender wafting in the air. earlier, yeonjun tried to get you out... only for you to lure him in and curse those puppy eyes!

☀️ - What’s your favorite part of your WIP?

Clearly, the emotions.

They can be sunny and shiny and bright in one moment, so full of love and happiness, that you are longing for something similar. And in the next moment, it crashes down, tumbles to ashes, like in a crumbling dream, you want to hold on to.

If I have a theme in my WIP, which I purposefully focus on, then it is emotions.

☁️ - What inspired you to start writing your WIP (or in general)?

Project Rosary was once a spark in form of a roleplaying game. In Spring/Summer 2019, I met some very nice people online who started a game called “Six Elements”. My two characters, I created for this game, are now the main characters for Project Rosary, including a homage to the two main players, where I took their Nicknames and turned them into the further main cast.

Originally, I wanted to set this project aside, finish an other project of mine, which is way older that Project Rosary, but things got a bit out of hand back then…

I quit playing roleplay games in December 2020 due to some issues I had with one of the staff-members in the community (I was also a staff-member back then). But I never really recovered from giving that one hobby up, I enjoyed the most: written games. So, I decided that Project Rosary is the first project I will finish. Just, so I can leave the gaming behind and recover from all the stuff that has happened back then…

But my journey on writing started way earlier…

I’ve written stories since being a toddler. My first book was a picture book I drew for my mom when I was in pre-school. I couldn’t write or read at that time, but I knew how to tell stories.

After some years of not writing at all, I came across a book in 2014: The Black Magician’s Trilogy by Trudi Canavan. This book is to this day one of the best books I’ve read. I enjoyed it over five times now and I know I am going to read it again someday in the future.

But it brought a sudden urge to me: Read more stories like that. But there weren’t. The story, Trudi Canavan has told, was so unique, that it did not fit into the fantasy genre at that time. And I lost the joy on reading…and started to write again.

Soon enough (in 2015), during my time on a german webpage called “Zauberhogwarts”, I stumbled across something called “Roleplaying Games”. Intrigued by the new thing I discovered, I joined a group of LotR fans and I created my first official character ever. I met that one guy, who I will always hold dear to my heart, who helped me find my voice in writing. And I started to write every day for several hours. I quickly learned, how to capture emotions and details and after nearly half a year, I started my very first website-roleplay. He was still by my side, was the best writing buddy I had. We both knew how we had to write the next reply to get an answer we wanted to get. We planned the story ahead without anyone knowing or noticing.

And then he was gone.

Vanished into the void.

My first official project, that is still waiting to be finished, is a personal memoir for me. He, the high king of the Eldar, who’s name I never got to know, is the reason, I write books today. He sparked the flame that needs to be protected. And in winter 2015, I started my journey to immortalize all those emotions in my heart, that piled up since he left.

it was a cloudy day today, a day that’s perfect for a nap... which beomgyu intended to do if it wasn’t for the way you dragged him from the sofa to help you with laundry. why are we doing laundry when the sun isn’t out? beomgyu remembers asking, only to get an answer like because i can’t predict the weather when i put them in the wash so do you still want clean clothes or not–yep, choi beomgyu learned that the hard way and he didn’t ask that question since.

what he does ask is may i have this dance, pretty thing? you’re eyeing him weirdly as you’re seated on one of the stools next to the washing machine, with your arms folded. meanwhile, beomgyu has his arm stretched out, half-bending forward with his fingers beckoning for you to take.

you let out a sigh and unfold your arms, placing one hand in his grasp and it’s done for. he pulls you up and makes you stand between his feet. on cue, as if he has some sort of sense that matches with the timing from the washing machine, it beats to a cute melody that becomes the backing track to dance to. beomgyu doesn’t care how silly he looks, all he aims for is being close to you and watching how much you’re laughing based on the twirls he makes you spin and ultimately following his lead to match his goofiness.

even after the music has long gone and the laundry signals to be hung up to dry, it’s like you two remain in your own little bubble, not a single care in the world.

((kai and taehyun remain outside of your apartment unit (waiting to be buzzed in), managing to spot the two of you dancing by the washing machine, near the clothesline on the balcony. “i wonder if those idiots know we can see them from here,” taehyun mutters under his breath, kai snorting as he playfully slaps the latter’s shoulder, “they’re being cute, let them be. stupid, but cute.”))
