Hey, really love your writing<3 Requesting a zoro headcanon in which you're caring for the wounds of his arm and he finally confesses his love, thank you in advance!

CONFESSION — roronoa zoro [headcanon]

description: during a battle with an uprising crew, zoro’s arm was injured after the captain of the enemy ship used his devil fruit to send sharp metal blades toward everyone. after the chaos, zoro attempted to wrap his own bandages, struggling to do so until you walked in to help.

warning: fluff. zoro x gn reader. shy boy zoro.

note: tysm anon, so sweet!! happy valentine’s day!

— ZORO is the type to do things for himself and not wanting help from others when it’s his own problem. he’s too damn stubborn for his own good which could get him more hurt in the future, yet he doesn’t care cause he’ll just come back stronger the next fight.

— zoro eyes glanced up to meet your own, not a word was spoken between the both of you as you wrapped the bandages around his injury. the familiar scene became a recurring moment between the both of you for weeks.

— he would be silent, yet a hue of red would be spreading across his neck and ears, which you didn’t notice. zoro is the type to feel confident but would keep glancing between the wall and you, avoiding any contact of meeting your warmed eyes that made his heart race a bit faster.

— once he had realized he had feelings for you weeks ago when you first started to treat his wounds, he kept his distance from you. yet you always found your way back to him which made it harder for his feelings to keep at bay.

– zoro would flex his arm to see how well you wrapped it after finishing before nodding, his simple response as a thank you. you were surprised that out of everyone, zoro was hit pretty badly during the fight. you had a feeling something must have happened when he saved you from a sharp piece flying towards your head before pushing you aside to take the hit, thus leading to his injured arm.

— zoro, being stubborn, dismissed your worries. “everything’s fine… go rest up.”

– you pressed for answers about his behavior, sensing he was at his breaking point from the way his face scrunched up in frustration. you kept questioning about the problem of becoming distant, asking if you two were even friends anymore.

— “you wanna know so badly? it’s cause of you!” zoro loudly confessed, his chest heaving while a blush dusted his tanned cheeks. you were dumbfounded, not understanding why you were the problem till he muttered, “i like you, you idiot.”

– you were speechless, it took you a few seconds to recover from his confession until you formed a widening grin, causing zoro to become more flustered as his heart skipped a beat from your response.

– “took you long enough to confess, idiot.”
