i love when friends feel at home in my apartment. i love hosting board game nights and movie marathons and just coexisting with people. i love listening to my friends play the guitar ( a guitar that I got for Christmas when I was 8 so really it’s more of an oversized ukulele and maybe it’s a bit out of tune but they’re good singers )while someone I met in first grade helps me cook tortellini for everyone. I love wrestling with this guy I know from high school on the carpet in my childhood living room. i love when people ask where the trash can is and someone I’ve met forever ago yet only recently got back in touch with, points to the exact cabinet without missing a beat, like no matter how many times the kitchen was remodelled since they’ve last been here it’s still their home too and they know their way around. I love when newer friends come to my bedroom and get excited to see pictures of us hung up on my walls im glad we’re important to one another i love when old friends come to my bedroom and get excited to see pictures of us hung on my walls I’m glad they’re still here and this memory is still cherished by both of us. i love when my cat becomes comfortable with my friends, meowing at them for snacks an nuzzling their hands. i love when my mom calls them by their nicknames. i love when my friends become friends with one another . i love when we make up big plans for a night out and end up cancelling them in favour of chilling on my couch, talking and watching cartoons. I love when my friends ask if they can take a nap in my room while the rest of us relax in the living room, like yes it’s alright I love you and there’s no pressure to chat if you’re not up to it, sometimes being around people is enough and the rat plush you gave me when we were 9 is still on my bed. I love buying groceries together and when we get home everyone starts petting everything where it belongs because they know where it belongs.
