Hakkenshi Flower Crowns 2023

Hey so it’s been a while since I’ve done a proper headcanon style post like this. I hope I didn’t disappoint in my hiatus, but with Valentine’s Day and the new Valentine’s event so close I couldn’t help but want to make a new proper post with a bit of a blog tradition Hakkenshi Flower Crowns~! Since we’ve had some time with the newer dog warriors I’m feeling a bit more confident in these takes on them, and also I rewrote one for Yasuyori simply because I feel the boyo deserves better from me. Hope you all enjoy~

Tanetomo

~Tanetomo enjoys making things much more beautiful so the task of making flower crowns comes naturally to him. When choosing the flowers he tends to favor pink and white flowers for their more pristine reputation. He wants to appear as pure and delicate as possible since that is what is typically seen as beautiful. He also makes the best flower crowns of the dog warriors and they tend to last the longest.

~When making one for you Tanetomo will lean more so to white flowers. He sees you as somewhat naive, much like a certain other warrior he knows. Because of that he wants to convey and preserve that innocence in a crown most fitting to your nature. White flowers can also help convey a blank canvas and fresh slate since Tanetomo can see there's plenty of options you have in your life, unlike himself.

~At the end of the day Tanetomo strives to make beautiful flower crowns you both can proudly wear and show off.

Masanori

~Much like Tanetomo, Masanori also enjoys the art of making flower crowns. However rather than simply choosing flowers based on color he chooses flowers based on their general meanings. For instance he will decorate his own crown with daffodils since they're a flower that ties to rebirth and creativity. He is quite a stickler for the symbolic significance in his creations- a curtain can't just be blue!

~When making a crown for you he insists on decorating your crown with lilies. Much like Tanetomo he views you as a symbol of innocence and naivete. You're the reason he strives for a change in the system- so those similar to you can live in a world with simple strife and the freedom to express themselves without oppression. While you appreciate the poetic symbolism you aren't ashamed to admit it goes over your head at times. But you still accept the crown because it's very cute and it's coming from Masanori.

Yoshito

~Yoshito only remembers doing this activity one other time with Moritaka back when they were both young children. Since it's been so long since he's made something like this you help him through the process of making one step by step. As you're helping him though he can't help but be reminded of that time he and Moritaka made crowns together and it both makes him glad and disheartened. Glad since he can now share something like this with someone, but disheartened since he can never be with Moritaka as he is now.

~Even though he has Moritaka on his mind a lot, Yoshito definitely thinks about you and what you'd look nice with. Someone who makes him smile like you should wear flowers that make everyone smile, and after consulting with Masanori he'd decide to make you a crown with lots of yellow flowers since they symbolize joy and happiness. However Yoshito doesn't just pick one flower, he collects a bunch of different yellow ones from tulips to sunflowers.

~When he eventually presents it to you it's a bit of a messy crown that you can see being held together with some sort of thread or twine that he obviously needed to hold all the flowers in place. But given the earnest nature of his gift you place it on your head with pride and you suggest to make one for Moritaka. Though he's hesitant at first since he doesn't have the courage to gift something like that to the fellow dog warrior, he becomes enamored with the idea when you offer to gift it in his place.

Yasuyori (again because i feel the last time didn't capture his essence)

~Yasuyori is a bit of a dense man in his own eyes. He doesn't quite view himself capable of something so dexterous as flower crown making. However when you assure him that it's not so much about the quality, but the thought behind it Yasuyori agrees to give it his best shot. With trembling hands he weaves his first one fairly decent. Only ripping or tearing it a few times out of nervousness, but when you guide his hands through the motions those nerves relaxed and he was able to complete the process just fine.

~He isn't quite as astute and informed as Masanori nor is he as analytical and insightful as Tanetomo so when he decides on a flower it's through pure instinct of what generally feels right for you. So naturally Yasuyori defaults to using roses which he prunes the thorns off of and puts into said crown. When he finally gifts it to you he insists on putting it on your head for you and seeing how you look in it.

~You offer to do the same and you both stare at each other with the crowns on. The sight of Yasuyori with a full head of flowers brings a hearty chuckle to you and Yasuyori is absolutely smitten with your look that he can't help but hug you in joy.

Continuous connection, such as being carried skin to skin or washed on frequent days, will prolong the ability - but also, give them protection. Thus, it's often that a Village will have a statue of an Inu Yasha in plan sight, smooth on a part of it where hands constantly brush over the rock for the good luck and ward against evils on their travels.

Yume x G’raha Ship Timeline

Part 1: ARR - The Crystal Tower

Writing all of this out because I like keeping a list of HCs, or a timeline of sorts, for easy access, and I’m sure some of you are curious as well.

A huge thank you goes to @mimble-sparklepudding for asking such great OC and ship questions, which sparked my desire for writing all of these out in this manner. Under the cut below:

Firstly, Yume x G’raha’s ship tag is “Evermore”, and it was taken from the song of the same name that appeared in Disney’s live action Beauty and the Beast. The song always makes me think that G’raha is singing it to himself while thinking about Yume.

When they first met, for G’raha, he was attracted to Yume at first sight, and he soon developed a huge crush on her very quickly, while Yume was insanely annoyed at the “disembodied voice” who was toying with her and making her job harder than it had to be. She was pissed off at this person and was planning on telling him something about it when she saw him face to face.

Yume’s plans to tell him off we’re all dashed when she actually saw him in person. She realized that he was insanely physically attractive to her, with his muscles, tattoos, bright red hair, and heterochromatic eyes. When he smiled at her and introduced himself, his attractiveness really caught her off guard and instead she became intrigued.

When they first were able to have a conversation, G’raha immediately asked if she was related to the daimyo Lord Masanori Aino, which threw Yume off guard even more, as no one outside of Hingashi knew of her clan or her upbringing unless she told them about it.

Yume informed him that she was actually Lord Aino’s eldest daughter, to which G’raha guessed right away that she was a ronin, and Yume asked how he knew that because no one else knew that much of Hingashi, to which G’raha explained that he read a text that was smuggled out of Hingashi that explained all about Hingan culture and politics, and that the daimyo were all listed. G’raha recognized her clan name and made an informed guess.

The fact that G’raha was so informed of her homeland and he genuinely was interested in her background earned him kudos from Yume, and she gladly would tell him tales of her life growing up as the daimyo’s daughter, while G’raha just ate up everything she told him.

Yume asked G’raha about himself as well, and he quickly opened up to her about being born in Corvos but being given up to the Students of Baldesion because of his Allagan eye, then growing up in Sharlayan and finally earning the title of Archon, to which Yume was also fascinated by all of this, and they both recognized how easy it seemed to open up to one another.

When G’raha didn’t get his way and Cid told him that he had to stay behind and not go with Yume, he pouted and then later, he gets annoyed and calls Cid “old man”. This was because 1) G’raha felt entitled to go because he wanted to have a first hand account for his research, 2) he wanted to go on an adventure with his crush, but also 3) G’raha was insanely jealous of Cid since he was Yume’s lover.

In between assisting with the investigation, G’raha learned that Yume envied G’raha because he was an expert archer, as she was never permitted to learn the bow and arrow. G’raha gladly offered to teach her, and so G’raha would be the one to train Yume in archery.

Soon after, Yume would incorporate the archery skills she learned from G’raha into her normal fighting style, switching between her katana and the bow and arrow on the fly, depending upon the situation. This would become Yume’s unique fighting style, to which I have called the job “Ronin”.

Yume often found G’raha sitting by the edge of Silvertear Lake while either reading or singing and playing his lute. She soon fell in love with G’raha’s voice, first through his singing, and then realized that she also loved his speaking voice as well after he began reading his favorite stories to her.

The two realized that they have much in common despite it not seeming that way on the surface. Though their circumstances were quite different, both of their individual experiences are similar in nature, where they both are disconnected from their families and their homelands, and they have found a home elsewhere.

This is actually something that Yume and G’raha both share with each other in part soon after they meet, and then later while on a vacation trip to Costa del Sol, they tell their life stories to each other. They feel this deep connection to each other in part because they understand each other so well in that way.

The two also both love to read, both to gain knowledge and to experience an adventure through a book. This led to a discussion where the two told each other that they dream of adventure and seeing the world with their own eyes instead of just through the pages of a book.

Between the events of the Labyrinth of the Ancients and Syrcus Tower, Yume invites G’raha to go on a vacation trip to Costa del Sol, and it is there that they share much of their life stories, their hopes and dreams of the future. The two also dance on the beach and watch a star shower together. All of this leads to them falling in love with each other.

During their trip to Costa del Sol, G’raha tells Yume to call him “Raha”, and she only uses his given name without the tribal affiliation after that.

G’raha and Yume then go into the World of Darkness, the Void, together, as G’raha refuses to be left behind again, and Yume agrees, even arguing with Cid that she wants G’raha by her side whether Cid likes it or not.

While in the World of Darkness, G’raha promises to take Yume to see Sharlayan one day, and when Yume asks what she can do to repay him for such a kindness, he says that she can take him to see Kugane, and she promises in turn.

After the events of the World of Darkness, Yume gives G’raha a letter, to which G’raha doesn’t read until after he awakens in the future of the Eighth Umbral Calamity timeline. In the letter, Yume says that she has something important to tell him, but she has business to take care of first before she can tell him.

While she doesn’t get the chance to tell him, as G’raha seals himself in the Tower, Yume intended on breaking up with Cid and moving her stuff out of Cid’s apartment before confessing her love to G’raha, as she had decided that she wanted to be with him.

When G’raha sealed himself in the Tower, Yume put on a brave face when he smiled at her before the doors shut, as she wanted him to remember her as she was, and she didn’t want to appear unsupportive of his decision.

But as soon as the doors shut, she collapsed to the ground, openly weeping, as if he had just died in her arms. In her heart, that’s how it felt. Yume thought that she would never see him again, so to her, it was as if she was mourning him.

Yume was of course upset that he sealed himself in the Tower, as she selfishly wanted him to stay with her, but she knew that it was his duty, and as a samurai, she would never resent him for that. It is just one more reason that she loves him so much: he’s honorable, courageous, and selfless, and she was very proud of him. Yume knows that if she were in his shoes, she would’ve done the same.

During HW and SB, Yume tried her best to move on, and she ended up throwing herself into her duties as a WoL, and she stayed in her relationship with Cid.

When Cid asked her to marry him, she said yes, and thought that it would make her happy, but every once in a while, she couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong.

Yume remembered G’raha every day since he sealed himself in the Tower, and she would always would write to him in her diary in order to cope with her grief, but her heartache never went away. It only heightened when she began hearing a mysterious voice, and she swore that it was G’raha’s voice.

🤬, 💥, 🚼, and 🎂 for any of them ^^

I'll give Masanori and his adopted little brother Joseph the focus for this!

🤬 - Have you ever gotten into any arguments? If so, what was the worst one? How did you guys make up?

I wouldn't say they were really arguments but maybe they were, but as Masanori got older, he never lost his eagerness for his father's work as a ninja. He was ready far too quickly to be far too reckless. And I admit, I'm too overprotective of him. Making up involved having to give him a little more trust and freedom and he promised to be a little more careful. There was also some difficulties with bringing up his grandfather in conversation, but that's because he never approved of me and if he had his way, Masanori would have never been born.

No major arguments with Joseph, but I also had to have quite a few talks with him about his reckless behavior and not thinking things through. A trait he picked up from his father, William, for better or for worse.

💥 - Have they ever gotten involved with drama at school? How did it effect them? How did it make you feel? How was it resolved?

They were both homeschooled by me and trained by Hanzo, so there wasn't really any drama that was school related. I will note though that they've gotten into some fights with other kids in town, the two of them both having a foreigner for a biological parent. I'm never upset at them for it, so long as they do not start the fights, which I'm confident they don't.

If they did ever start anything, they know they'd have to deal with lectures from both me and their fathers, and they KNOW they don't want that.

🚼 - When did they start crawling? Likewise, when did they start walking? Were you prepared for it or did it catch you off guard?

Masanori was a very active child, and started crawling quite early, considering he was born sooner than anticipated. He was only around 7 months. By the time he was a year old, he could, with help, walk a little bit. It was exiting, but also exhausting, me being bedridden on and off for the first few years of his life.

Joseph took his time with things, starting to crawl when he was about 10 months old, and about 15 months when he started to consistently walk with someone.

🎂 - When's their birthday, if they have one? If they don't have a canon one, what do you hc their birthday is?

I haven't given them (or any of my kids, for that matter) a canon birthday yet, but it was during late spring, when it was finally nice and warm. Joseph was born well into the summer.

Mini Fic:

Mistunari groaned as Kiyomasa's sleeping form kicked him in the ribs. He slumped upward and pushed himself up. As he looked back down on his sleeping traveling partners he saw that the two of them were both encroaching on his futon space. Mistunari silently accepted that he wasn't going to get back to sleep any time soon. Mistunari shuffled his way out of his shared room with the two fools. Once he opened the door he heard another set of footsteps to his side, when he glanced over he found Pawniard at his side. Mitsunari rubbed the side of Pawniard's head and lifted a single finger to his mouth. 

Mitsunari and Pawniard tiptoed away from the room toward the main building of the Aurora Warlord's castle. The traveler shivered in the cold winter air in the little time that he was outside. Both Pawniard and Mitsunari covered their eyes as the early sunrise peaked over the castle walls. 

Mitsunari entered the main building unsurprised that he wasn't the first person awake but the scene he beheld left many questions. 

The Aurora Warlord was giggling to herself as she wrapped one of the Ignis Warlords subordinates, Hanbei, in loose loops of ribbon. In Hanbei's lap was a small sign reading, "I'm your present". Even from his distance he could deduce that the sign was the Aurora Warlord's handwriting, Mitsunari had to read Hanbei's writing once and it was a sloppy mess that put Masanori's scribbles to shame. Mitsunari was about to leave and take his chances with the two buffoons, when he heard the Greenleaf Warlord speak.

"Now dear, what if, perchance Sir Hanbei wakes up before Hideyoshi and Sir Kanbei bring Lady Oichi here?"

"Pssh, c'mon 'Nari. Hanbei sleeps like a Snorlax, he's not gonna wake up anytime soon." The Aurora Warlord continued snickering to herself. 

"I must say I can't say you're wrong there. But I feel as though this is a major breach in Sir Hanbei and Kanbei's privacy." Sir Motonari countered. 

"I mean the two of them gotta start being more proactive eventually, Oichi told me Hideyoshi didn't even know they were dating. This is just a bit of a push, and funny. Can't forget it's funny." The Aurora Warlord once again devolved into a bunch of snickers.

"Dear, I cannot stress how much their love lives are not our business. I can accept watching from afar and idle gossip with Lady Oichi. After all it is entertaining but this is a step too far. Don't you agree, Mitsunari?" At this the Greenleaf Warlord turned to Mistunari, who was unsurprised that the experienced Warlord knew he was watching. Seeing the Aurora Warlord gawk at his appearance was a treat, however. 

"Please don't attempt to use me as leverage in your argument. I only came to see when breakfast will be ready. It's probably the only way to wake up those fools." 

At Mitsunari's mention of breakfast, the Aurora Warlord perked up. 

"Oh right, should probably get that started, after all even if Ignis is just a hop, skip and jump away the trek from Dragnor is pretty long and I'm sure Oichi and Kanbei will be pretty peckish." She pushed herself off the ground, scooped up her art supplies used on the sleeping Hanbei and skedaddled out of the room.

"Dear, only you would say that after a two week long journey someone would just be 'peckish'. Her sense of judgement, I swear. My apologies Mitsunari, i suppose food will be ready soon" Motonari grumbled under his breath, before following after his girlfriend. Mitsunari sighed to himself before Pawniard tugged at his clothes, then pointed toward Hanbei, who was still wrapped in ribbon, snoring peacefully. “Its too early to deal with, let someone else take care of him.”

[ this is a hc i never made ‘’official’’ on the old blog but Fuck It mitsun is autistic

he doesn’t know there’s a word for it, he just knows his mind doesn’t work like ‘’’’normal’’’’ people’s. he gets fixated to an extreme degree on Certain Things. he legitimately gets panicky if he doesn’t have his headdress and not just because of the sentimental value it holds. he has troubles understanding jokes and sarcasm, and reading the room, which can make him seem rude or clueless sometimes, and sometimes it can cause him to go off about absolutely nothing, not realizing that No One cares, because he’s so taken by his own excitement.

Kiyomasa and Masanori and Hiroko have been helping him learn how to read cues, and understand the tones of people’s voices, but he honestly cannot help it. but he also knows and is aware of these things he does so he’s not offended when people point it out, and takes it as a learning experience. ]

So I just found your blog again (Masanori is your UiHai OC, right? He's adorable!) aaaaaaaannnnnndd mayyybbe ayahina fluff hcs from in between og tg and :Re?

Awwww thank you! Masanori is @hamliet‘s OC whom she let me borrow for one ask, which has since morphed into dozens because the little hellion is irresistible. 

Ayahina:

- When Hinami and Ayato entered their first fight together, she blurted out, “Look, we both have wings!” at the sight of his ukaku. That’s when he first felt a spark.

- Ayato vacillated between hating how kind she was - because it made him insecure - and deifying her for it. He settled on deifying. 

- Hinami once gave him a birthday present. She remembered Touka telling her the date a long time ago. Ayato swears up and down he did not cry, but he was found punching a laughing Seidou later that day, so no one knows for sure.

- Tatara once tried to give Ayato “the Talk.” It started with “kids are bad when we’re in a war soooooo” and ended with Ayato covering his ears and screaming. 

- Hinami roped Ayato into setting up a date between Naki and Miza for Valentine’s Day. She didn’t tell him why she needed red ribbons and pink heart balloons, but he bought them for her and then found himself using his kagune to attack the ribbons to the ceiling. 

- Ayato once broke down - and by breakdown, we mean a tantrum - over his guilt, but denied it fiercely when Hinami confronted him. She hugged him regardless, and he appreciated it.

- Ayato once pretended to be sick so she would make him more coffee. She suspected the truth, but obliged.

Masanori’s family was kinda wealthy. Not so much that they were like. Celebrity status but enough to have a pool in the back yard and a pretty large house.

Masanori lost his voice due to a surgery failure that he would rather not talk about.

Masanoris parents refused to learn jsl after his injury saying it was too hard. He ended up very happy he could still hear because he was sure they would have been content just never talking to him again. He uses a white board to comunicate with them usually.

Because of his somewhat decent living conditions at home he was pissed when his parents and sojiro shoved him upstairs in leblanc

Saori remember naught but the sensation of blood spreading at her paws - the feeling of a hand upon her head between her ears and the softest of voices call out; Ko. She remembers the awe in the surrounding gasping beings, as she felt stone crumble from her fur making her pelt no longer leaden and heavy. Trapped would be a word to use, but it didn’t make sense since they chose to become statues to lie in wait for their next Master.

Now found - her Spirit form released by a blood oath and sacrifice of a beloved family dog, the Wisdom holder eased herself to the dog’s corpse. Taking it for her own and reshaping it to her breed. Thus - when the light and smoke cleared from the gathering of Onmyōji under the ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Clan Name, she found herself staring at only one of them… This one - the Chosen Blood - had her bead - her name on his tongue and now his vision shared with her own. This was the one that summoned her from her lengthy sleep.

The moment they locked eyes - and the being lowered to a knee - Saori’s form moved with ease to greet him with her nose to the back of his palm. Tail wagging with delight upon the smell of old blood - this was a strong clan and would be stronger in the future. “Master.” It was the first word to be uttered between them, and it was all that it took for the rest of her life here to be involved in ▇▇▇▇▇▇'s history.

Saori’s Wisdom bead gave her the IQ and understanding of world matters quickly, to take on stories of the humans of the ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Clan, to understand that war still happens but much more secretive. Thus, in her sphere of information, she took it upon herself to ask of the Clan Head - He, who she was bound to by soul and name - told him of her siblings.

The Hakkenden / Hakkenshi of Legends.

They were not just a story of Warriors in times of battle and children games to distract them from Warring states. But real Inu-yasha that protected a sacred person or place. Their beads were the symbol of their loyalty - larger in the past but became smaller to match the present times of everything they were.

The first bead, Devotion - also written as 'wisdom' - was placed upon the wrist of the ▇▇▇▇▇▇'s Clan’s head- and with its power - he was able to find answers to what he sees and heard in passing. To look beneath the underneath - to pull apart layers of lies or half-truths and find their real meanings.

Wisdom - holds the talent to see through lies of man. Whilst Saori - at his side, took upon the form of a pure white Hokkaido-inu - she stood regal in her white coat and with eyes akin to a ghost - ever silent - ever watchful.

From those years onward, Saori aided the clan head and his successors - a single heir, to claim another statue of her brother and sisters.

After Devotion, came Benevolence - Akinori a spitfire Akita.

Michinori of Gratitude was found within the fourth heads reign - A Shikoku-ken.

Shiori of Knowledge, was donated out of honour from a defeated clan - A Kishu-ken.

Kahori ( Duty ), Kazunori ( Brotherhood ) and Masanori ( Faith ) were all found thanks to Shiori’s memory. A Kai ken, Shiba Inu and Tosa.

The last of their band - the leader of a leaderless group — Kiyonori ( Loyalty ). He is yet to be found - locked away and the missing piece to the full formation barrier of the Hakkenden's true ability. A statue in waiting for his true Master to wake him from his slumber.

The Hakkenden CAN NOT be seen without their permission - as they are spirits / Inu-yasha, they are non-visible to those without Onmyōji lineage. The ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Clan, is one of the oldest Clans to have a Generational contract of Blood with the Hakkenshi. The first to seal this was Saori, and it continues now with Kiyonori.

The Canines are visible however when granted the permission to be so by their Master. BUT - they are not of human guise, but their pure canine forms. Kai Ken, Akita, Shiba Inu - these dogs roam the halls of the ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Clan Home with no muzzle nor leash but true freedom.

That being said, they can and will mess around with the ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Clansmen, showing their shadows on the walls or barking in the dark halls. Their Master may have to scold the pups regularly when they get a little too rowdy.

The Hakkenshi have a Barrier Formation made by the Onmyōji Clan heads at the time of Saori’s behest. This formation grew stronger and stronger with each canine statue released how it grew weaker over time as it was incomplete.

With Kiyonori’s sealed state, the Formation is still incomplete and won't be amplified by EIGHT as all pillars are yet to be resurrected. This barrier stops, repels and denounces yokai from entering the ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Clan grounds. It can also remove impurities from corrupted souls making many humans faint if they are unable to withstand the sensation.

The Hakkenshi show their human forms when their Master desires it to be shared, they are a wide range of age, shape and size. Much like their canine forms they are beautiful and dangerous - as they all have weaponry styles of destruction. All of them different from one another as they have formed their own love for weaponry selected over time.

Am thinking, My Yokai can brand/mark their S/Os with a part of themselves. Energy / Corruption / Boost of their natural elements, eg; Akku can leave a brand of his suction cups along the limbs of his S/O that can be used as a barrier and/or beacon to call him / pinpoint him.

It could also be triggered to aid his S/O to breath underwater if they are ever in danger of drowning.

It could also ward away danger, give his S/O ( if not supernatural already ) an enhanced sixth sense to others intentions towards them.

These brands might not be visible to the human eye unless trained to look into the Yokai nature. A tingle to those that are welcoming to the supernatural at best without the true blood / vision of the other side.

Omg first of all, congrats on your follower count!!! Could I request some sfw/nsfw HCs for SLBP Masanori, Kanetsugu and Yoshichi? Your side chara content is actually glorious. Masanori as a gift-giver is canon (bless you 5ever, @ieyasu-tacogawa !). He also treasures what he is gifted. The man is no packrat, but if something he is given is broken (say a little crimson chopstick rest, a present from a certain lady cook), he gets. the. mopes. Masanori will need coaxing to open up about it– best to have a certain lady cook in his lap for that + a few smooches and sweet words to soothe him. If a certain lady cook were to gift him another chopstick rest to replace a broken gift, he will take it with him to all meals… but keep it in his sleeve instead of using it, so it stays safe. Gruff but very sentimental, this one. (Modern Masanori WOULD keep his childhood teddy bear in his home as adult)

Kanetsugu can’t risk writing love letters (and doesn’t think he’d be very good at it), but he can copy stanzas and add tiny brushstroke birds and grasses and present those to his lady love, and he absolutely does. He might recite some of the poetry when they are alone together, as well. Never to be pretentious or performative, but because he’s actually quite moved and is trying to share that. A soft smile of appreciation and a thoughtful response is the stuff of his dreams. A poem in return is beyond them.

Yosweetcheeksshichi’s the object of so much teasing in Kasugayama that the idea of you teasing him actually haunts his dreams for a few nights. He doesn’t think he could handle the shame and hurt of you making fun of him— Kakki and Tsugutsugu can do it, he’s not trying to impress them! But when you are a part of Kasugayama and do tease him, it’s so gentle and your smile is so warm he… actually… loves it. And you never tease him about something he’s deeply insecure about, so it feels like each little joke is a ribbon that connects you. He starts thinking of however you last gently poked fun at him before he goes to sleep at night, and his dreams are sweet.

And of course, in certain settings…

Masanori uses his size and strength. He finds the difference between the build of your bodies a huge turn on and loves to hold you up in displays of his strength he hopes you’ll notice. He won’t fuck you against a wall, because he doesn’t need to lean. He just puts you by the wall so you don’t feel scared there’s nothing at your back when he has his arms under your legs. ZERO ZERO NO NOPE ZERO interest in hurting you, but likes positions that spread you for him/by him, like having you stretch out on your side on the floor of an inn with one knee bent and the other knee up in his hand as he pushes into you and grinds. Head/heart/dick all lose it if your fingers dig into his forearms, it makes him feel manly as hell.

Kanetsugu likes gentle, service-oriented lovers, because that’s… exactly what he is, when all is well with the world. Not that things can’t be fast or sweaty, but being on the same page and especially reciprocity are key for him. At least at first. The longer you are together the better he learns that love means you don’t have to keep score. When you’re together, it’s intentional. He likes to feel wound together with you, so positions where your arms or legs are around him, trying to keep you close together: A++ would do again. He’s not a tease but he does love the feel of the first few snug centimeters inside you, and he could happily fuck you sweet and shallow, stroking one thumb above where you’re joined, and the other over the rest of his length outside your body. Mmm. No one in the world but the two of you for a while.

Yoshichi, beautiful soul… before you get together, he’s very… umm…

For a while he’s too sensitive to your nearness to function and damn near blisters himself. Your touch is his heaven and he wants it everywhere. He’s too eager to be shy about exploration— it feels so good when you kiss his sides, how does it feel for you when he does it? When your hands grip his ass and your fingertips fit into the cleft, does that make you want to pass out, too? When you tug his hair and his body instantly groans and he feels it all the way down his legs— same, y/n? Treat him warmly but don’t be shy to make your wishes known. He wants to get it right. His nightly practice of touching his tongue to his fingers to see what pressure and movements will feel like will come in so handy.
