If darkeners come from objects in the real world, and taking a darkener from one dark world to another makes them turn to stone because they're incompatible, what happens when you make a dark world with a foreign darkener's object already in it? Would they be transformed into a different character? or would they then stay the same character but be compatible with the world? I'm unsure if I explained that right.

talking w my partner and we came up with the thought that rose would start calling dave 'david' as a joke, and it pisses him off because it's "such an uncool name". so of course when june hears it she takes to the next level and starts calling him davidson, and finally jade just starts calling him doug one day out of the blue. just. doesn't mention anything doesn't mention being in on the joke or talking to rose or june about it she just picks it up and never stops.

it becomes this sort of internal joke but when they meet the trolls rose manages to get them all to never even call him dave: she tells them that his full name is something like "david doug davidson the third (strider)", then tells the trolls that would try to be nice that it's rude to call a human by their nickname unless you've known each other for a long, long time, and the trolls that would try to piss dave off that he HATES being called by his full name. i mean none of these things are technically wrong soooo it's not like she's lying?? c'mon it's just a silly little thing you can't really be mad at her....

anyways queue dave getting increasingly frustrated trying to get anyone to please call him by HIS ACTUAL FUCKING NAME??? A NAME THAT IS NOT RIDICULOUSLY LONG AND ELABORATED AND ACTUALLY SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING A HUMAN WOULD BE NAMED?????
