|| 紅 || :: the MASTER had noticed a certain pair of eyes on her for quite some time, especially after they had just returned from a successful mission. it wasn't without some battles and hiccups, of course, but all those weren't too difficult to deal with. perhaps, it was something INNATE in her that made her more calm and casual even in life and death situation. she had always been living her life on the line, for that thrill, and for that rush of adrenaline.

it seemed that her life has an internationally wanted criminal didn't fade away even after all that was said and done. that rush of urgency was what reminded her that she was still alive, and perhaps — she was wondering when THE END would come for her. how long would she have to go on ... ?

" finally, the female broke the SILENCE on her part, gaze landing upon her servant whose eyes had been fixated on her all this while. was he unhappy about the way she conducted herself as a master ? how peculiar to know it was HIM, the very man she loved, yet it was also not him. what she had with that moriarty didn't come until much later. this one ... he was young, after all.

saw a poll about whether you prefer corruption or redemption arcs and i realized that for me it's not really either, it's a distillation arc: when a character becomes the most intense version of what they could be, everything inessential falling away or being discarded so that only the core remains.
