Some random nonreaders: Lol, look at this horrible "fan fiction". It's a bunch of really bad stories of dudes kissing. I'm going to make a YouTube video reading the worst "fan fiction" I could find on Wattpad.

Some random 15-Year-Old: I wrote this amazing fanfiction about my favorite character going through depression and overcoming addiction. It hints that they fall in love at the end. Now, I'm going to post it on more credible sources like fanfiction.net or Ao3 that were specifically made for fanfiction unlike other sites like Wattpad.

I kid you not, one fandom I tried to get back into had three spin-offs, and they announced a forth one a couple of days ago. Also, they added in a new main character and an evil twin for the the original main character, which they're now saying the original character was actually just pretending to be, so they actually haven't been using their real name or social status. Like, the show came out 9 years ago, why are they adding to it?

In another fandom, it was revealed in a comic series that two characters' mom disappeared and was not dead, as was previously thought. Instead, she had changed her face and memories so that she did not have to think about her kids, and her kids wouldn't recognize her, which is why she isn't in the original show. They also added a younger sister for the original character (as she was a surprise child from their not-dead mom). To top it off, they had one character's girlfriend break up with them.

Lastly, another fandom has a comic series that started involving time travel, and now the main character is royalty, and they're now friends with a reoccurring enemy, who has developed a crush on them.

Dr. (and Mrs.) Sydney Jekyll (Normie)

Hair: Blonde

Hair Style: Low bun or ponytail

Eyes: Blue

Skin: Caucasian

Killer Style: Business woman

Personality: Stern

Freaky Flaw: She's the breadwinner of the family, so she focuses too much on work. She never told her sons about each other because she was too busy and didn't think it was important (not to mention it was easier not to on her part). On that note, she can't keep track of Jackson/Holt at all and never notices when they leave the house or hang out with friends. She didn't even notice when he went to jail. She's too busy trying to have a job and keep her job for once.

Mrs. Helga Hyde (Monster, Hyde)

Hair: Black

Hair Style: Loose and wild

Eyes: Black

Skin: Green

Killer Style: Jersey Shore, short black dress

Personality: Boisterous

Freaky Flaw: Helga is a party animal who loves to get wild and be wild; however, her and Sydney's latest trigger has been strong emotions, or more specifically being angry or worried for their sons when they think too much into it, so she, nicknamed Mama Hyde, only comes out when something bad has happened. The problem is that she keeps coming out while Sydney is at work and causes her to lose her job. Their family keeps having to move for different job opportunities. Due to this, her and Sidney don't have the best relationship and try to keep everything under wraps.

Dr. Carson Jekyll-Hyde (Monster, Fire Elemental)

Hair: Red

Hair Style: Short and up, beard across jawline

Eyes: Red

Skin: Orangey-yellow

Killer Style: T-Shirt and Jeans, sometimes a button-up and lab coat

Personality: Shy, Yes Man

Freaky Flaw: He was not as famous of a scientist as his wife, so she needed to keep her last name. He didn't mind taking hers instead when they got married. While he is a scientist, he works remotely. He does not make as much money as his Sydney. Unfortunately, Carson is rather a push-over and does whatever his wives say. Because of this, he avoided telling Jackson/Holt about each other as his wives (mostly Sydney) found it inconvenient. He tries to make end's meet when he can, so he mostly stays cooped up working on the computer or in the lab in their basement. He hardly keeps track of either of his wives or sons and is kind of along for the ride. If anything, Carson is the backseat passenger of his own life. Luckily, the latest place his wives picked to move was near his sister's, so at least his sons and their cousin, Heath, could go to school together.

To be fair, while still a village, Pelican Town is written to be very PNW America in a lot of the interactions and as someone who unfortunately lives in the PNW, I can concur, you can repair an entire town make friends with everyone to the point they know your name, and you'd still not be considered part of the community until you're married and on the PTA.

As someone who lives in a village irl, can I please say that it doesn't make sense why the villagers of Pelican Town are so exclusive to newcomers? It can be strange, sure. But like really Mayor Lewis? You truely weren't sure I would ever become a "real member of the community" unless I married someone? So completing your order board and rebuilding the museum and library and bus station and community center didn't count? It meant nothing? Why do I have marry in like some kind cult? TV Shows: I needed to know some information about someone, so I called a number, a real person answered, and they gave it to me.

Realistically: I needed to know something about someone, so I called a number. A robot answered, so I had to navigate my way to a real person. But that person said they couldn't tell me anything due to confidentiality and that I must be the person or related to the person in question. I said I was, but then they asked me for a username, password, social security number, the name of my first grade teacher, my favorite day of the week, the blood type of my firstborn son, and when was the last time I took a dump.

I talk about Detroit: Become Human so much that I just refer to it as "Detroit" and my siblings know immediately what I mean to the point that they don't even think of it as a real place. My sister and I were talking about big cities and I mentioned the game and she immediately said "Yeah. That's in like San Francisco, right?" No, Detroit is not in San Francisco.
