random tig headcanons pt.3!

I haven’t done these in a while, so let’s go!

~ all of the hawthorne brothers have dimples. jameson and xander’s are really prominent and nash’s are more subtle. grayson never smiles, so only a few people are sure about his.

~ avery hates dust jackets on books and takes them off every time. it doesn’t matter how pretty it is, it’s annoying.

~ part of nash’s personality is what I like to call “grandma nash”. he calls everyone ‘sweetheart’, he knows how to knit, he plays candy crush, he doesn’t know how to take a selfie, and his hearing isn’t great.

~ jameson loves dogs and always asks to pet a dog whenever he sees one. he’s not scared of any dog, big or small.

~ grayson likes to act all tough like he’s immune to everything but in reality, he has a bunch of allergies and is severely allergic to nuts, fish/shellfish, and blackberries. he’s also lactose intolerant.

~ max has an auditory processing disorder and can never hear what people are saying correctly. she’s the friend that asks ‘what?’ every time you say something.

~ while jameson loves to drink, avery hates the taste of alcohol and never drinks. she’s always the designated driver at parties and events.

~ jameson can do a bunch of crazy voice impressions - kermit the frog, elmo, kronk, and a bunch of other celebrities and cartoon characters.

~ when xander is in the sun for a long period of time, you can see that he has quite a lot of freckles and they’re so cute.

~ when the hawthorne brothers were little, tobias constructed a massive indoor playground for them to play on as kids. they still play on it as adults. ~ libby likes to do nash’s eyeliner, and god, does he look good

~ max cannot spell for her *life*. her texts to avery always look like gibberish and no one can tell what she’s trying to say.

~ grayson hated middle school pe but jameson was that one boy that was just a complete show-off. he could do a hundred push ups and sit ups, run the mile in five minutes, do the most laps on the pacer, etc. it made all the ladies swoon ofc.

~ oren is the KING of just dance, convince me otherwise. xander is a close second place.

~ avery is a ravenclaw, jameson is a gryffindor, nash is a hufflepuff, grayson is a slytherin, xander is a hufflepuff, max is a gryffindor, and libby is a hufflepuff!

grayson hawthorne headcanons!

bc I know some of yall love this man

grayson was not a good swimmer as a kid. there were multiple times were he almost drowned so he taught himself how to swim out of spite.

grayson is secretly very dirty minded. he was the kid that laughs at adult jokes at family reunions. he may act like he doesn’t have a sense of humor, but it’s there.

grayson is a very talented painter. his artworks are in a wide variety of museums and his work has won many awards. he was named the most talented painter in the world at age twelve, but gave it up a bit has he grew older.

graysons hands are always cold. people are always shocked by how old his hands are. jameson calls him a vampire, but who knows, he may be right.

grayson enjoys reading non-fiction as well as poetry. he likes to try to comprehend the complicated works of edgar allen poe, charles simic, lord byron, etc.

grayson loves flying in planes. as a little kid, he was so interested in planes and as an adult, he still loves flying. he especially loves the little pretzels they give you.

grayson uses a lot of candles. not sure why, but he seems like a candles guy. he studies and reads by candlelight and owns most of bath and body works candles.

grayson prefers podcasts over music. he’ll play them everywhere - around the house, on walks, in the car, etc. he also listens to them before falling asleep so he doesn’t feel like he’s falling asleep alone (abandonment issues yk)

grayson is actually a really good singer. aside from violin, (which is canon), he also plays piano, guitar, bass, and drums. he sometimes posts videos of him singing and playing guitar on social media and girls go WILD.

grayson cries while watching kids movies/shows. inside out def made him cry, same with bluey. he will completely deny it, but he’s a softie for kids movies + shows.

as an adult, grayson is always very clean and tidy and proper. but as a kid, he loved adventures and would spend hours searching around the forest behind the estate. but he would always come home dirty and skye would yell at him, so he made himself stop and be clean and proper forever.

grayson looovveesss cats. he has two cats, a boy and a girl. he’s not a fan of dogs, they’re too loud and messy. but he’s a very proud cat dad.

grayson excels in school and his favorite subject is math. he’s kind of a goody two shoes when it comes to school. he never misses school and always goes to class. he may not stand the people in his classes, but he genuinely likes to learn.

grayson knows he’s hot, okay? he walks around school knowing he’s one of the finest people there (aside from his brothers ofc). he’s usually very confident in his appearance and has a good skincare routine and overall hygiene. however, he would never date any girl at his school bc they’re all “too desperate”.

grayson was always ridiculed by his mother for liking “girly” things as a kid. he’s always be into fashion, since skye put him in modeling at a very young age. he also loves flowers, skincare, and hair.

grayson doesn’t do a ton of sports, but he’s done fencing ever since he was little. he’s won a ton of awards for fencing too.

the inheritance games characters at a wedding!

as guests ofc

avery is rich, so she will bring the bride and groom the most expensive and crazy gifts for their wedding. for libby and nash’s wedding, she bought them an island. she’s overall a very good wedding guest, would recommend.

jameson is a wildcard. he will either get bored and leave early or if it’s someone important, he goes CRAZY. definitely spikes the punch at his brothers weddings yk. probs takes off his shirt at some point. do not make him the best man, his speech will be WILD.

grayson doesn’t care much for weddings. he finds them useless and impractical. but it gives him a reason to dress up, and you already know he doesn’t disappoint. dressed to the nines, perfect suit, styled hair, tons of rings or a fancy watch. he’s even more extra and dramatic than usual. he will remind everyone that it is a *blessing* that he’s there.

xander cries at every wedding, no doubt. he’s all jokes and laughs, but at jameson and avery’s wedding, he’s sobbing. but then when it comes time for the reception, he is jameson’s right hand man in causing mischief. he judges the scones/pastries, does crazy dances, and looks hot while doing so.

nash is another ideal wedding guest. he is respectful, mature, knows how to behave. but when nash gets drunk, OH BOY. hes a surprisingly good dancer and if you play hoedown throwdown, he knows the whole dance.

libby personally tries to make every single wedding cake for any wedding she’s invited to, even her own! most of the time, she gets asked to make cakes. libby is also a hopeless romantic and adores the aesthetic of weddings and just weddings as a whole. at her wedding, she def wears a black wedding dress with black bedazzled cowboy boots and hat for nash <3

max is just tagging along for the fun. she’s an even mix of party and maturity. she does get bored easily, however, and will quickly move from one thing to the next. it could be anyone’s wedding but she will be complaining like ‘when does this thing staaarrrrttt??” and at the reception, she mostly eats snacks and makes sure xander doesn’t burn the place down.

the inheritance games royalty au headcanons/story ideas!

I made a post about this a little bit ago and many seemed to like the idea of tig taking place in a royalty au so here are some headcanons or perhaps story prompts! :)

recently, the wealthy king of their kingdom (tobias hawthorne) passed away under mysterious circumstances. instead of one of his children or grandchildren receiving his inheritance, it goes to a peasant named avery grambs who lives in a small cottage on the edge of the kingdom.

the royal family is shocked when they find his hand-written will in the kings old office but they cannot let the news get out to the public. citizens would riot! so avery was summoned to the palace for a formal talk.

grayson was raised all his life to become king. instead of ‘heir apparent’, he was the royal successor. he still has his iconic blonde hair and cold gray eyes, but his suits are adorned with royal badges and pins to flaunt his status. he doesn’t care for citizens much, but avery may change his mind…

jameson was the prince that all the girls in the village would fawn over, like in the original tig universe. he was charming, clever, cocky, and didn’t care much for being a prince. he has a history of dancing with numerous ladies at balls and drinking a few too many glasses of champagne.

nash is the oldest grandson, but rejected the throne from an early age. he always preferred casual clothing over royal dress and practically raised himself. he’s tired of the fortune and fancy class that is royalty, so he’s especially curious when a certain goth catches his eye…

xander is a goofball, loved by his people. he’s imperfect, not sure which spoon goes with which dish. but he’s kind, intelligent, and charming. scones? try crumpets.

libby loves to bake and dreams of becoming a baker but following the storyline of tig, she is struck with poverty and abuse. when avery must live in the palace for a year, libby is happy to join her. she always wears gorgeous gothic dresses. she soon finds her prince charming in nash, and they live happily ever after.

alisa is a royal advisor for the king when he dies and then begins work as avery’s royal advisor. a few years ago, she was engaged to prince nash before a sudden break up. even if she cannot be queen, she will find a way to make a change in her kingdom.

oren is avery's personal bodyguard ofc! he’s basically the same guy from the series, but make it a bit fancier.

avery is legally not old enough to be queen and all of the complications with the will would still happen in this universe.

instead of meeting on a balcony, jameson and avery meet at a welcoming ball for avery where jameson is very drunk on champagne and is stumbling around the empty hallways of the palace. avery needs some peace and quiet and to just be away from it all when she finds him. he asks her the same riddle as always.

emily was the daughter of a wealthy duchess who was close with the royal family. rebecca, jameson, and grayson still have their trauma with emily’s death.

skye and zara and toby are the children of the late king. princess skye is furious that she doesn’t have the crown which is what turns her evil ig.

this deserves its own freaking fanfic or headcanon list or something but the royal balls at the palace are wild. instead of the blackwood shooting taking place in the actual forest, I imagine it takes place in the royal gardens.

imagine a scene where avery is struggling to get on her corset for an event of sorts and asks jameson to help her. the tension? it would be so good.

overall, I think this au is SO COOL and I definitely want to see some work done with it! if you have any requests, I will be happy to take them! byeee! <3

avery and jameson have three kids - two daughters and one son.

jameson claims he can understand the language of baby talk. strangely enough, whenever his toddlers babble about something, he can always get it right what they need.

jameson cried harder then avery when he found out she was pregnant. same thing with their births.

jameson and avery got to every single one of their kids sports games and scream their head offs supporting them.

nash, xander, and grayson are the best uncles ever and are always trying to spend time with their nieces and nephews and help whenever they can.

avery can make her babies laugh with just about anything. she could make silly faces, talk to them, drop a pan on the floor, and the little kids would burst out laughing and find everything amusing.

avery and jameson hire a very large security team for their kids, like ten to twenty people. they’ve experienced first hand the affects of paparazzi and social media and they really want to keep their kids safe from that.

avery absolutely adores dressing up their toddlers in the cutest little outfits ever. boy, girl, doesn’t matter, she will find the most adorable clothing and accessories.

jameson loves to embarrass his kids in front of their friends/crushes. he never goes too far but he always likes to add in a teasing comment or dad joke or riddle.

their son looks just like jameson, the resemblance is a bit frightening. the same green eyes, sarcastic smirk, fluffy brown hair, etc.

this one is obvious but avery and jameson’s child is the most beautiful, gorgeous, majestic, ethereal being in the history of man. two gorgeous parents, how could you not?

avery and jameson have witnessed how pressuring and stressful it can be to be a hawthorne and live up to all those expectations. so, they don’t force their kids to win world records or start their own business or anything like that. they let them be kids.

I mentioned this before but jameson is not allowed to help name children. he would pick the most unserious, ridiculous names ever. fortunately, avery picks the prettiest names for their kids, with the help of max and libby ofc.

avery and jameson want their kids to feel like normal kids. they read a picture book before bed, treat their kids to ice cream, talk to their teddy bears, etc. anything to make their kids feel happy.

road trips with the hawthorne-grambs family is always absolutely crazy. there’s music blasting, snacks being eaten, sing-alongs, a bit of arguing, all the fun of road trips.

random little quirks about each the inheritance games characters!

these are all headcanons I made up!

avery definitely sings in the shower. she has full on concerts every time and jameson thinks it’s hilarious. avery will get really embarassed if you bring it up and doesn’t like to talk about it.

jameson stills counts on his fingers. he’s a grown man, in college, paying for taxes, and he still uses his fingers to count.

grayson is a huge grammar and spelling person. if you spell a word wrong or don’t use correct punctuation, he will correct you in seconds and make you feel like an idiot.

xander is a huge nail biter. whenever he can’t sit still or is anxious, he bites his nails.

nash will have headphones in and will dance around his bedroom, kitchen, etc. he gets very flustered if someone walks in on him dancing to music the other person can’t hear. when libby walks in on it, she just starts dancing with him.

libby is a terrible liar. you can always tell when she’s lying or making something up. she always gets really guilty after lying too.

max snorts when she laughs, but only when she’s laughing really hard. she’s kinda self conscious about it but xander thinks it’s so cute.

thea is a massive germaphobe. her room is always so clean and she hates touching dirt, animals, blood, etc. she is constantly washing her hands and doesn’t like germs overall.

rebecca is an outfit repeater, but she has the cutest clothes ever so no one really cares.

I think this is so cute and so I just needed to make a list

jameson would have the cutest nicknames for his daughters. regardless of what him and avery named them, he would make a cute little nickname out of it. like if they named their daughter june, he’d call her junie or junebug or something.

jameson would let his daughters paint his nails, style his hair, do his makeup, etc. one of his daughters used sharpie for eyeliner, but he kept doing it bc he knew it made his kids happy.

jameson would come to every single one of his daughters sports games, even if it was pouring rain or hailing. he would cheer so loud from the sidelines and got in a fight with a ref once or twice. regardless of his daughter wins or loses, he will support her.

jameson is interested in whatever his daughters are interested in. he genuinely wants to hear about all the things they’re into.

you already know that jameson will interrogate any boyfriend or girlfriend his daughters have to make sure they’re “good enough” for his kids.

you thought dad jokes were bad? wait till you hear jameson's dad riddles.

jameson would hear his daughters say slang for their generation and he would say it too not knowing what it meant. he knew his daughters found it cringey, but he thought it was funny.

jameson learned how to do hair and makeup so he can help his daughters.

nash, xander, and grayson love to babysit their nieces. are they bad influences? maybe.

jameson is not allowed to help in the naming process because he will pick the most random and out of pocket baby names.

jameson would cry at his daughters weddings and then completely deny that he ever cried afterwards.

his kids would ask him for help on homework and he’ll be like “idk, I wasn’t there, ask your mom” every time

when his daughters are toddlers, jameson will teach them pranks and things to mess with avery

jameson will spoil his daughters rotten. he will definitely go all out for holidays and things. leaving evidence of santa, leprechauns, etc, saying that all the magical beings are real, buying everything on his kids wish list, etc

jameson is so good with babies. ever since he was around twelve or so, he would make babies laugh super easily. he loves to play with his daughters and make them laugh. jameson IS the tickle monster.

jameson will give his daughters piggy back rides 24/7. whenever his daughters want some fun or are too tired to walk, piggy back ride is the answer.

this one is kind of obvious but avery and jameson create the most beautiful babies known to man, it’s not even funny. always adorable.

avery + jameson headcanons won my poll by a lot so here you go!

jameson is a starer. he will stare at avery during class and in conversation. teachers snap at him sometimes to “stop staring at his lovebird and pay attention”

jameson absolutely adores cuddles. he will hug avery constantly and will do so until she gives him attention.

avery and jameson will hold pinkies while walking and stuff

jameson has ranted to xander on multiple occasions about his plans to propose to avery. he has their entire wedding planned out, he’s such a daydreamer.

avery's cheeks get pink very easily, her skin is sensitive like that, and jameson loves making her blush.

in the earlier stages, avery was totally in denial about her feelings for jameson and pretended like she wasn’t completely head over heels for this man. for everyone else (except jameson!) it was totally obvious.

aside from being mushy-gushy, avery and jameson tease each other a lot. they’re the kind of people to see an ugly character in a movie and point at the other person and say “that’s you” (jokingly and full of love ofc)
