"I need to go wash my hands, they feel disgusting because I shook his hand earlier." I state as I turn away from the door and look at Sun, "If you feel like you need to then the bathroom is right outside the main doors, follow me!" He responds as he quickly snaps out of his daze, his sunrays start to wiggle a bit as he leads me, "Thanks, Sun." I say before I follow him.

*Attention Fazbear Friends! The time is now 11:30 PM, please proceed to the nearest exit so as to not be locked in after night procedures are in place! Thank you for visiting Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizza Plex™!*

"Well first shift here officially starts in 15 minutes, I should probably get ready to clock in." I say after our game of hide and seek, "Do we have to stop playing?" He whines as we head to the desk, "Don't you clock in on your Fazwatch?" He asks with a confused expression, "Vince said so. But I tried to check in when I was hiding, but an error came up saying that my watch won't be fully activated until next week. So I have to clock in at the computers instead." I tell him as I make my way to the other side of the desk. Sun leans on the edge of the desk and just looks at me while I sign in, "Sunny would ya stop, I can feel you staring at me." I say while not looking away from the screen, "What?" He asks loudly and I look up at him, "I said, I can feel you staring." I respond and go back to typing, "No, not that. I mean what did you call me?" He asks while bouncing on his heels, "Sunny?" I question and his sun rays start clicking as they spin around his head, I giggle because of his sun rays and he blushes then his rays spin faster, my hair starts flowing in the wind he's creating, "Sunny, you gotta slow your rays down or you're gonna start flying!" I say with a smile, "I can fly without the wire?!" He shouts with a gasp. "Probably not, I said that as a joke." I giggle, "Aw, anything is easier than that wire." He says as he visibly deflates.

Y/n states as she turns to look at me, "If you feel like you need to then the bathroom is right outside the main doors, follow me!" I answer and quickly snap out of my daze, "Thanks, Sun." She says before she enters, I wait by the door till she comes out."Were you waiting for me?" She asks as she exits the bathroom, "Um yes, I do it because the kids. My programming kicked in cuz normally the kids are the only ones nice to me, well, nicer than adults." I lie in a flustered state.

"Oh that makes sense, wait why do you specify nicer?" She asks."Because they're the nicest towards me, adults think I'm too hyperactive and the animatronics only interact with me during parties in the daycare, or when adults pay more money for one of them to be there. But just because they're the nicest doesn't mean they're all nice, 90% of the kids I watch with do bad things like trying to pull my rays out of my head one by one like what I've heard people do to a flower, they make a game out of trying to jump the highest with paint on their hands to mark where they touch and some jump just high enough to pull the cords out of my head, which is the whole goal of the game. They also used to play the same game but the goal was the ring on my back, when Fazbear Entertainment™ made our ring retractable their goal switched to the cords." I say while shivering."What. The. Fuck." She says with a blank expression, "Language!" I reprimand, "English." She states, Moon snickers in our head, "There's no cursing in the daycare!" I yell at both of them, "First of all, it's after hours and there's no kids." She says with her hands on her hips, 'She got you there.' Moon says with a chuckle, "Second all of the kids you babysit sound like little shits. You said 90% of them are bad. That means 1 out of 10 children are good, you have 37 children that you watch so that means in between 2 and 5 kids are good." She states with her arms crossed, "Third of all…" She starts and notices that I'm not looking at her, because I'm sitting, she can reach my face.

She grabs both sides of my face to turn it towards her, "No one deserves to be treated like that." She finishes with a serious expression, I blush at the closeness of our faces, and my rays spin because of her words, "B-but I'm not human, I'm a robot." I sigh after pulling my head from her grasp and looking away from her, my expression saddens, "You're not a robot." She states as she gently grabs my chin and turns my head to face her once more. "Robots are machines that are built to do what they're told without a second thought, you are an AI. You are capable of learning and making decisions, but you're not just a normal AI. I've only known you for a few minutes. But I can tell you have an AI that is so advanced that you are more human than a lot of the humans I know." She says that she looks directly into my eyes.

Steam puffs out of my joints at her praise, I start to panic and I stand up causing her to fall on her butt, "Oof!" She says but I don't even realize I caused her to fall because of my embarrassment and I quickly run back into the daycare and hide in one of the play structures.I hear her calling for me but I don’t move even a millimeter from my spot, she comes into my view as I’m looking through the bars on the top of the play structure, which is to the structure to the closest to the rainbow slide, I watch as she gets a smile on her face, ‘Look at her smile, it shines brighter than a supernova!’ I exclaim to Moon in the headspace, ‘I guess it’s fine, it looks like she’s up to something though.’ He responds.

“Ready or not, here I come!” Y/N shouts right before she dashes into the farthest structure from me, she haphazardly takes off her (f/c) heel boots and throws them toward the shoe cubbyhole, they land right in front of the tall, empty shelf made of squares as she drops to her hands and knees to crawl into the bottom of her chosen structure.She moves through the structure more quietly than we thought she would, we can’t even hear her breathing, she scampers through the different levels without making a sound, our only indicator of what structure she's in is when she scurries across the bridge connecting two out of the three colorful structures. She makes it to the otherside of the bridge and enters the middle structure, even with her in the neighboring structure we can't seem to pinpoint her besides the occasional glimpse of gold from the security badge clipped on her chest pocket. After a few moments we don't even see glimpses of her, it's like she completely disappeared from the Daycare. We scan the structure frantically looking for any signs of her, a grip on my ankle causes me to freeze and slowly turn my head to look behind me, I see Y/n looking up at me with a smirk.

I caught you~" She says in a teasing tone, my processors finally catch up to the situation and I squeak in surprise as I rotate my foot in their grip and I fall back onto my butt.A melodious giggle comes from the perpetrator of the scare, she releases my ankle and sits next to me. My shock subsides as she sits next to me but not too close, I think nothing of it as her giggles calm.

“Sorry for just running off like that, I’m not used to people being nice and got overwhelmed.” I say not making eye contact, we sit in silence for a moment. I take a look at her and her eyes have darkened like she’s in a different world as she stares forward, I start to think I may have done something wrong until she breaks the silence, “I know what you mean.”The brief confession catches me off guard, ‘What does she mean, how can someone not be nice to her?’ I ask Moon, ‘I’m not sure either, tho, something seems wrong.’I turn back to her to ask if she’s okay but she’s already a few feet away, her (s/f/c) skirt is just long enough that her panties don’t show as she crawls in front of me. ‘I thought you made it against the rules, to think dirty things like that while someone is here, mister follows all the rules.’ Moon says as I stop in my tracks, ‘I-I’m not thinking anything of the sort!’ I shout in the headspace as I blush. ‘But seriously Sun, them of all people. You know better than that, why would she ever want an animatronic? I’m sure there’s a reason that she’s nice to us, perhaps Fazbear offered her more money if she lasted longer than the other daycare workers. Maybe she said that because she's feeling guilty.’ He scoffs in a flat tone. Moon’s words sink into my head and she goes down a slide as I snap back to reality and struggle to catch up with her. I fumble my way down the blue slide nearest to the door and follow her to the front of the desk.

She turns and looks at me like our conversation never happened, "Alright, my turn to hide." She states and before I can say anything she stalks out of sight, 'That just helps my point, she seems to be avoiding you.' Moon states with a smirk, "N-No she just wants to continue the game." I state defiantly then start counting to thirty.I hit thirty and turn towards the play structures and choose to look in the one I was hiding in last round, I come up empty after scaling through all three sections of the tunnels, "Maybe she's in the ball pit?" I question as I make it to the edge of the colorful sea of balls.

'She could've left by scaling the rainbow slide, she probably decided that the money wasn't worth it.' Moon rasps in the headspace, 'Everyone leaves us eventually, so don't get attached, all humans are the same.' Moon grumbles before slinking further into the headspace.His consciousness fades as he retreats to the one place I can't access in our head, his sanctuary, that's what he calls it. I continue looking for Y/n throughout the Daycare for almost an hour, I can't find her anywhere, I mentally knock on Moon's sanctuary door. He comes out with a sigh, irritation in his code until he sees that I'm rocking back and forth in a corner of the play structures.''I think she did leave. Why won't anyone stay, what do I do wrong every time? I'm nice to everyone and make sure that I don't overwhelm them, I try so hard…" I say with a shaky voice, I start crying as I sit.‘The cameras in the lobby don’t show her leaving, and the ones outside the doors don’t have her on them except when she first got here and when you showed her to the bathroom. I also checked the cameras in the theater, no sign of her, the last thing any of the cameras catch is her going beneath the balls in the pit.’ Moon says, trying to calm me down.

“I’ve checked the ball pit multiple times tho, and you know how thorough I am when I check in there.” I mumble to Moon through the tears. ‘Well then try going out there and saying that you give up.’ Moon slates calmly, I sniffle as I comprehend what he said.‘WAIT SUN THE-’ Moon shouts as I snap out of my sadness and go to jump to my feet, I hit my head on the metal above me, ‘Bars…’ Moon finishes as I hold my top rays.“Ow ow ow, I forgot I was in the play structure.” I mutter as I carefully make my way out, 'Clearly.' Moon sasses.

I stand after I leave the structure I was in and shout, “I give up, you win!”, I hear a giggle and my rays start to spin, ‘She never left Moon, can you believe it!’ I celebrate in the headspace. I look where the giggle came from and my rays stop spinning, ‘How did she get up there?!’ I panic in the headspace, I see Y/n sit up from behind three clouds that are settled right under our stage. I grab my rays at the thought of her falling from there, ‘Sun, Y/n’s starting to get down, you wanted to see how she got up there right? Well now's your chance.’ Moon states. I snap out of my bad thought and watch as she walks to the smallest cloud in the attached trio, she jumps from it to the inner ring to get to the large cloud on the left of it. My eyes widen as she continues her venture, sliding between the two giant rings and making it from the large cloud down to the small cloud next to the fake sun in the wall. From there she grabs the outer ring and uses it to climb down to the mini play structures behind the ball pit, she jumps from the metal bar into the balls causing me to panic and run over to the edge of the pit. I stare at the unmoving colors hoping she’s okay, balls go flying as she pops out right in front of me. She giggles at my shock and gets out of the pit, she brushes off her skirt while being careful not to accidentally yank her black zirconium chain that drapes off her hip to the right and has gold suns, silver moons, and copper stars of all sizes attached along it. She looks up at me before the 11:30 pm announcement plays from the speakers, "Well first shift here officially starts in 15 minutes, I should probably get ready to clock in." She says as she starts to walk to the desk.

After convincing Sun to not try and fly away with his rays we settle down and do crafts for a while and the lockdown alert has already come and gone, I stand up to stretch and check the time on my Fazwatch. “Oh, it’s almost 1:00 am.” I comment out loud to myself, "OH MY GLITTER GLUE! It's 12:53, you have to hide, and quickly before the recharge cycle!" Sun panics and starts to run away.I run after him and grab his wrist right as the lights shut off, I'm blind in the darkness as I feel his arm turn cold and he rips it from my hand."Hello?" I called into the darkness of the play room, "Sun, where did you go? Are you scared of the dark?" I shout into the pitch black.

I hear a raspy laugh as a response to my question, it sounded like it was coming from all directions as I slowly look up. There are stars lit up around the ceiling and the upper parts of the walls, the glowing sun that was once under the balcony is now a moon and some of the clouds have stars on them. It looks so pretty that I forget about the laugh, I lay down on my back and look up at the ceiling in awe. As I stare at the ceiling the temperature around me starts to drop, and I start to wonder.'The walls remind me of the night, but they look like the day when the lights are on, and the sun under the balcony is now a moon.' I lightly hit my fist to my hand as the information clicks into place.I quickly sit up and laugh, "Man that took me a bit to figure out, no wonder Sunny was flipping." I state out loud.

I stand up and start looking around, "Moon?" I yell, I hear the slight mechanical whir of his fans in the quiet room."Hello?" I called into the darkness of the room, then I'm reminded how stupid that was as I hear a creepy laugh. It sounds like it was coming from all directions as I slowly look up, I see him crouched in an inhuman manner on the top of a play structure. His eyes are a bright red that reflects off his pale face and sharp smile making it look like he wants to eat me, 'Maybe I want him to eat me~' My inner voice says in a flirty tone, my ears redden a bit at the thought.I clear my throat to push the thought away and prevent my voice from cracking, "So… Are you gonna stay up there?" I ask him as he stares at me.

He tilts his head to the right then bends his knees a little and launches himself into the air out of sight, he moves through the dark and I hear a low thump come from behind me. I go to turn but feel some pressure on my shoulder so I stop, I feel his presence loom over me as he leans next to my ear."You think you're clever, don't you? Trying to play nice with Sun, just like so many others." He rasps in it with irritation in his voice, "What?" I respond flatly and turn my head to look at him.His face is centimeters away from mine when we make eye contact, the blush on my ears return."Holy shit, you're really close." I say as he glares at me, "Why are you here? Was it a dare or did Fazbear offer you a bonus?" He questions me with hate in his eyes.

"Well I didn't get dared, I don't have any friends I still talk with from high school. The amount I'm getting paid for this job is complete bullshit, if I was being bribed I wouldn't settle for 14 dollars an hour, more like 37 just to fuck with them cheap ass people." I respond with confidence, a deep growl escapes him as he glares at me and rips his hand from my shoulder.He jumps back into the air and disappears within the dark, 'Well, Moon sure is… Something.' I think then turn to walk to the desk.

The lights finally turn off and I'm allowed to roam around the darkness of the Daycare, I yank my arm to release the night guard's hold on my wrist."Hello?" Her voice echoed throughout the darkness of the play room, "Sun, where did you go? Are you scared of the dark?" She says in a concerned voice.I laugh at the fact that she can still pretend in a situation like this, it seems to have surprised her as she starts to look up to find the source of the noise. She freezes in place as she sees the ceiling, she starts to lower herself to the floor without looking away from the artificial stars, I watch in confusion and interest as she does so. I slowly make my way closer to her as she stares in awe for a moment, right as I get a meter away from her and she puts her fist on her hand then jolts into an upright seat. I duck into the play structure so I'm not seen, she rises to her feet and surveys the room.

"Moon?" She asks the dark, I remain silent as I sneak onto the top of the structure I was hiding behind. "Hello?" She tries to address me once more, I laugh at her pathetic attempts to get my attention. Her eyes widen a bit as she starts to look up at me, she stares at me for a second before my sensors pick up on her abnormal heart rate.'See, she's just as scared as everyone else when she looks at me.' I say to Sun in the headspace, 'Well maybe if you didn't contort your body every time you meet someone people wouldn't be as scared.' He responds in a mumble. She clears her throat and I draw my attention back to her as she stands there awkwardly, she looks like she wants to say something but takes a few more moments before speaking."So… Are you gonna stay up there?" She asks with only a small wave in her voice, 'She doesn't seem to be that scared, maybe you should try to be nice?' Sun says.'Nope! She's probably got motives, I wonder what she's hiding.' I respond and tilt my head then launch myself into the air, the wire hooks onto my back as I fly over her.I detach myself from the hooks and land right behind her, she flinches and starts to turn around but I put my hand on her shoulder to stop her. She stills and I bring my face next to her face, "You think you're clever, don't you? Trying to play nice with Sun, just like so many others." I say with malice."What?" I hear her ask in a deadpan then cranks her neck back, she seems shocked when our eyes meet then I detect another abnormality in her pulse."Holy shit, you're really close." She says and I analyze her expression looking for any signs of deception, "Why are you here? Was it a dare or did Fazbear offer you a bonus?" I say while staring into her soul."Well I didn't get dared, I don't have any friends I still talk with from high school. The amount I'm getting paid for this job is complete bullshit, if I was being bribed I wouldn't settle for 14 dollars an hour, more like 37 just to fuck with them cheap ass people." She snaps with confidence, a deep growl pushes it's way out my mouth while I glare at her then I yank my hand from her shoulder.I remove myself before I do anything rash, 'See, what did I tell ya!' Sun says, annoying me further as I slink behind the red curtains that lead to our room. I watch from the crack as she settles into the desk's uncomfortable looking office chair, I huff and close the curtains roughly then creep further into the room.

Chapter 5

Rivers And Mountains

Heading south for two thousand miles then turn and head southeast for three thousand miles, we finally reach the Enchanted Forest, I walk into the captains’ quarters to alert the captains of our arrival at the humongous forest’s beachy edge, “We’re in Dragon scale territory captains!”.

Sun sighs then stands, “We’v been traveling for two weeks now and we’v asked ya to call us Sun and Moon since the third day, how many times must we ask ye?”.

“But-” I start and Moon cuts me off, “No butsss.” he says while extending the ‘s’ like a hiss.

“We’ve made it to the Enchanted Forest, the tallest tree in the world is in the center of the forest.” I state continuing where I left off.

The twin captains roll their optics at the notice of me sidestepping their request again, “Alright, can ye tell us what of the land is Dragon territory?” Sun huffs then points to the map on the table of the enchanted forest and all surrounding areas.

“The main forest with the thirty-seven thousand meters tall tree named the tree of Tatsuki in it’s center and trees of all varieties ranging from three thousand meters to seven thousand meters, the two closest of the three islands above the mainland, and the bottom half of the closest district in the Celve region.”, “Then what is the third island?” Moon asks.

“Horseshoe territory. The island was gifted to the Horseshoe clan by Kenatatsu the king of Dragon claw to gain their trust and form an alliance between the two, the island itself is the only part of the Enchanted Forest that houses more beings with human-like intellect than just dragons, on that island lives humans, horse sirens, dragon sirens, normal dragons, and one other species of intelligence that lives only on that island. That's why when you said that you were meeting up with some from the Enchanted Forest I knew that we'd be headed to Pegasus Island." I inform them, "Ar' Pegasi the other species yer was talkin' 'bout? I'm guessing that based on the island's name.” Moon responds.

“Yes, they are, pegasi are half dragon and half horse. When the first pegasus was born a burst of energy caused trees to sprout, trees that no one had heard of, they’re called Toumaki trees and are only on that one island.” I state, “There ar’ pegasi, can I ride one?!” Sun screeched excitedly while flapping his hands.

“I mean, if that’s what you’re into.” I state with a smirk, Sun stares at me with a confused look and Moon notices and snickers, he then whispers something into one of Sun’s audio sensors.

Sun’s cooling fans whir to life, he lightly blushes, and steam shoots out of all of his joints as he realizes the innuendo, “That's not what I meant!”, Moon gives a raspy chuckle at his reaction, “Ya know Y/n’s just messing with ya.”

Sun's blush darkens a little and he clears his throat into his fist, "I knew that, I was just trying to play along." He states as he looks away from me and Moon, "Sure ya were, we totally believe that." I state and laugh.

"I really was!" He states as he crosses his arms and puffs out his silicone cheeks in a pout, "We could go back and forth with this all day, but we need to meet Captain Casey first." Moon states, "Fine, but ye gonna answer me question first Y/n." Sun negotiates, "Okay." I agree.

“I’d advise that you don’t unless you’ve known them for a while and they trust you, you also have to ask their permission first and foremost, also don’t just go up to one and ask to fly on their back. Most importantly never come up to a horse or a pegasus from behind, you will get kicked in the crotch at two hundred miles per second because they’re not normal horses, aka your internals will explode from the sheer force.” I state while maintaining a serious look to show them that I'm not exaggerating.

The twin captains visibly cringe at my last comment then they swallow the lumps in their throats at the same time, "Definitely don't do that Sun." Moon states while glaring at Sun, "I won't." Sun states with a sigh.

"Well if we visit the Tatsuki tree after this then you may be able to fly, but not on a pegasus, and I said maybe because Tatsuyo isn't a people person." I state, "Okay, we'll go after we come back to the ship to get ye." Moon states and they start to walk to the doors, "Hold up, I'm going with you two!" I shout as I catch up with them on the main deck.

"No ye'r not, this trip will contain very sensitive information." Sun states, "Tell me then, have you guys ever walked through the Enchanted forest?" I ask with my hands on my hips, "No and we'r not going to, we'r goin through the bottom of Celve district three." Moon states angrily.

The rest of the crew see the argument and start to watch to see who wins, "No you're not, pirates are banned from Celve let alone district three! The people in district three are horrendous, they will tear you limb from limb just because you're pirates! The only way you're going to get to Pegasus Island is if you go to the Enchanted Forest, do you know what lives in the Enchanted Forest!?" I state after I raise my voice, the captain's have never heard me raise my voice, let alone to them, so they're standing there with matching shocked expressions, I wait a bit longer and notice that they're not going to say anything,"Well there's dragons, giant crabs, giant butterflies, giant lizards, giant bees, giant everything! They all eat humans or anything the size of a human, and yes they eat metal, in fact dragons love eating metal it helps their digestive tracts! Not only that but everything in that Forest will eat you alive, and all the trees are jumbo sized, all the plants are jumbo size, the flowers are the size of our normal trees and will eat anything they can reach!"

The two captains stare at me and awe, when they finally process exactly what I said their expressions turn grim.

They both look at each other then look back at me,"Fine ye can come, but when we tell ye to leave you're going to leave, and ye ain't going to listen to a single thing we talk about with Captain Casey!" Moon grumbles in annoyance, Sun nods his head in agreeance and they push down the plank to deboard the ship, before Moon steps on the board to leave the ship he turns to the crew who are still watching and yells at them,"And what are y'all looking at?! Get back to work!" The crew all quickly look away, scared, and scurry back to their positions.

We descend the plank onto the beach and walk forward ‘till I’m three meters away from the ship, the sand swishes between my toes because of the fact that I still haven’t acquired a pair of shoes yet. The wind blows past the skirt that I refuse to take off, it was the last gift I got from my brother before… Anyway I still wear it regardless of my pronouns. The twin captains join me on the tan particles and order the crew to remove the plank and guard the ship, they turn to the bright greenery of the lush forest.

They share an apprehensive look as I start to head in, "WAIT!" Sun yells, causing me to look at him in shock, "Ye don't have any shoes, ye'r going to stab yer feet." He says that he gestures to my bare toes.

"How've ye not cut yer feet on loose nails in the ship yet? Moon says as steps towards to scoop me up.

"Woah, hey!" I shout as he sits me on his right shoulder, "Sirens have tougher skin than most creatures, even in our other forms, though Shield-scaled sirens have the strongest skin and scales of the siren species. Plus there's no need for you to carry me, I've been in and out of this forest so many times without even a scuff." I say with a huff.

"Welp, yer already up here so." Moon responds then starts heading for the greenery, "Hey moon, wait for me!" Sun shouts.

I tell them ways to avoid different giant homicidal animals' nests but the first time they completely ignore me, that's how we got in this situation. Slime and shit scented mucus covers us in this dimly lit area, the smell of stomach acid slowly getting stronger as the dissolving fluid comes closer to the top. A humongous fucking flower, that's what we're stuck inside, waiting for the acid to finish accumulating and release from the stem into the petals that have incased us in this large space that seems so small because of us three being jammed together.

"Damn it! I told you to go right, not left! This is why I wanted to walk instead of being carried!" I scolded the twins from my perch on Moon's shoulder, "Now, there's only one way we can leave. I'ma need you both to listen very closely to my instructions.” I state after I turn their heads towards me.

I tell them the plan and they nod, I hold out my hand so Sun can give me his sword. The center of the floral ceiling is the weakest point but out of reach due to it being seven feet taller then me when I stand on Moon’s shoulders.

🌙~Pov change~🌙

Swallowed and melted by a tall flower, what a way ta go. We go into this situation when we came to a fork in the road, Y/n tells us to go right, the path looks old and like it hasn’t been used in a long time, large vines with thorns coil around tree roots and hang from above. Sun being the way that he is decided against going that way, so Y/n doesn’t get hurt. Without saying a word he takes the left path with long strides, I don’t want to separate from him, he gets lost easily. I follow him through the ferns all while ignoring the harsh whisper pouring out of the siren on my shoulder and catch up with him. We walk for a while on the well worn path, nothing bad seems to be here, at least that’s what me and Sun thought. Now we’re in a carnivorous, purple lily, with black goo dripping from the ceiling. The slime doesn’t seem to have any affects on any of us but the smell of acid is burning my sensors and Sun is panicking, his determination slowly deteriorating as he repeatedly tries to stab the petals that have cage us but his sword just slides off because of the slick black liquid dropping from above. I reach over and put my hand on his shoulder, he stops to face me with terror in his optics, like prey in a predator’s grasp.

“Ye been trying to make a hole for twelve minutes now, ya have tried every petal in every way possible.” I tell him in a calm voice to calm him, his shoulders slump.

"Damn it! I told you to go right, not left! This is why I wanted to walk instead of being carried!" Y/n says in a semi-harsh tone, they turn my head with a hand and turns Sun’s with one of their legs, "Now, there's only one way we can leave. I'ma need you both to listen very closely to my instructions.” They state while maintaining eye contact.

“The center of the floral ceiling is the weakest point, Moon is gonna have to stand on Sun’s shoulders while I stand on Moon’s, that way we can reach the top. I’ll need Sun’s sword so I can stab it through, but the petals are so thick that stabbing even the weakest spot will only let the blade go though half way, so after I stab it Sun’s gonna need to jump so it’ll got the rest of the way through. When it’s in there fully it’ll be easy to slide the blade down along the side of the flower and cut a way out on the side near the ground like Sun was trying to do. Okay everyone understand the plan?” They ask, we both answer with a nod, Sun’s determination returns tenfold as he hands them his sword.

Sun kneels so I can step onto his shoulders and grabs my ankles so I can’t slip off, “Eveyone ready? I’m goin’ to stand up!” Sun says under me then stands in one swift motion causing me to sway forward in backward.

“W-Woah, be careful!” Y/n says with a shaky voice from the sudden elevation change, Sun apologies as we all stabilize ourselves.

Y/n starts to stand up on my shoulders and I look up as I grab their ankles to make sure they don’t fall, looking up was the wrong move.

‘O-Oh shit! I forgot they’re wearing a skirt, I can see their underwear!’

Me and Sun got them many pairs of socks, underwear, and we were going to get them bras but they already had a waterproof binder. They didn’t have any of those things before because, well… They live in their siren form most their life. Sun noticed their lack of under garments a week after they lived on the ship, they tripped in the storage room when they both were looking for wood glue. Long story short he got an eye full of ass and turned into a sputtering mess, he didn’t let them leave our quarters until we docked and brang them underwear. They refused to wear any of it for a few days but we finally got them to understand why they needed the extra clothing, but they still refuse to wear the socks.

‘They’re wearing the star print ones me and Sun agreed to get them.’

Me and Sun were arguing about what underwear we should get them. We argued about the color, the style, the print, so we ended up with an assortment of colors and patterns from each style. The one pair we agreed on were the panties are that are white with deep red, dark blue, and bright yellow stars of all sizes across them, the pair they are wearing at this moment.

I’m so distracted that I don’t hear the to people I’m sandwiched between ‘till Sun looks up to see what I’m doing, he realizes and positions his he slightly to the right and notices the panties. His optics widen and he starts to lose his balance which knocks me out my trance, he rebalances be for we all fall, he breathes a sigh of relief as Y/n gets our attention.

“I can’t reach! Moon, could you lift me a few inches higher?” They ask as they stretch their arms and legs.

“Y-Yup, on it!” I respond as I let go of one of their ankles to remove my hat, I hang it on my belt then return my hand to their ankle to lift them and let them stand on my head.

“I can reach now!” They exclaim before they stab it center causing Sun to wobble, “Sun jump!”

Sun slams a foot on the ground then pushes as hard as he can, the sword slices the rest of the way and Y/n pulls the sword down the side with both hands as we brake formation and fall out the hole made from one of the petals being cut down the middle. Me and Sun hit the ground harshly and Y/n land gracefully on their feet like a cat, they slide the air with the grace of a skilled swords man to flick the green blood of the flower off Sun’s sword then goes to put it in a holster on their hip. They realize that there isn’t a holster and look at the sword in confusion, they seem to snap out of a fog and turn around to make eye contact with me. They look past me so I turn to see Sun sitting with his back facing us, I look back at Y/n and they put a finger to their lips to gesture me to not tell him. They smile and make their way to Sun to pat his shoulder to see if he’s okay, he stands and brushes himself off while reassuring them that he’s fine. He turns to them to inspect them to make sure they haven’t gotten hurt, he doesn’t even find a scratch and huffs in relief.

‘Just who are they?’ I think to myself as I start to get up from the ground.

Sun finally looks my way as I rise and they both make their way over to me, “Well at least we’re all okay! Let keep going, I was hoping we could reach there before dark.” Sun says with his signature bright smile, acting as if we didn’t just escape getting digested by a mother-fucking flower, typical Sun.

I shake me head and smile as he bounces after Y/n, letting them lead the way this time.

This is a reader-insert type story, so I will write the reader-insert parts like so:

Yes, I know it's a long list. But, I wanted to give as much freedom to the reader as possible, and I know this isn't how sirens are, but this is my version of them.

Chapter 4: Random questions

Me and the blue captain board the ship and he leads me to his and Sun's quarters, when he opens the doors we find Sun asleep in his chair, his head leaned back and his mouth open. He shakes his head, walks over to Sun and slings him over his shoulder then tosses him on the left bed. Sun sturs a little but doesn't wake up, instead, he grabs his pillow and cuddles it tightly.

"Why does he always fall asleep on the damned chair, even the one he had before he would fall asleep in it." He grumbles as he returns to the table and sits in the chair Sun was in, "Hmm? I guess t's comfortable." He then crosses his legs and gestures to the chair across from him. I cautiously sit in it while continuing to look around until he clears his throat to catch my attention, "First off the names Captain Moon of the Galaxy Ship."

"So now that we'r away from prying eyes and ears, tell me about yerself." He says and leans his elbows on the table with his chin in his hands.

"You think I'm just gonna give you valuable information without something in return, thought that you were a pirate, not an idiot." I retort with a smirk, there's a glimmer of mischief in his eyes as he chuckles.

"Oh? Well then, what would ya want in exchange?" He asks as he leans back and taps his index finger on the table rhythmically, I take a deep breath and he raises his eyebrow.

“I want to join your crew, I am able to cook and clean, I’m fast on land and in water, I’m good with a sword, I know the seven seas like the back of my hands, and I can make some damn good alcohol.” I state while maintaining eye contact, he scans my face for any signs of lying then sighs, "Fine."

"But, if ye join yer gonna have ta sleep in here because all the beds in the crew quarters are taken." He interjects with a smirk, "That's fine." I agree without a second thought.

"Right, then t's settled." He states and stands from his seat to stand beside me, he notices that I'm still looking ahead and turns my head via my chin to look at him, "Now time to hold yer end of the deal, little star~."

"Just ask me any questions, and I'll answer." I say while looking him in the eyes, we continue to stare into each other's eyes for a moment longer before he drops my chin and returns to his seat, and leans on the table with both elbows, "Alright first question, what are ya?"

"Straight to the point, I see, well I'm a siren, to be more specific I'm a siren from the c/n clan." I answer while looking for an indication of violence from him, instead, he stops leaning on the table and returns upright in the chair.

"A siren ya say, aren't those just a human tale? I mean fish humans with sharp teeth that have a haunting voice, yah right like something that dumb exists." He says with a scoff, "As ye said earlier, I'm a pirate, not an idiot."

My teeth sharpen and my eye turns e/p/c, he doesn't notice my teeth until I open my mouth creepily, "What was that about my race?" I growl.

"Interesting, is that the face ye made to scare those wanna-be thugs?" He asks smugly, I'm taken aback by his demeanor so my eye turns back to e/c and I start laughing, “What’s so funny?”

"You're the first one in a long time to act casual after I've threatened them, the last person…" I trail off sadly.

He senses that it's a sensitive topic so he asks another question, "How do ye have legs?”.

“Humans have made up tales about us for centuries and they’re based on real encounters, but the humans that survive those encounters are only a few and far between each other so details are lost to time and other humans think they’re crazy, also doesn’t help that almost all encounters involve the sea. Very few people know that we can change forms in and out of the water and most of them are either old, dead, labeled as insane, keep it to themselves, friend or family of sirens, or a siren. We have four forms in and out of the water, half-human form which is the full human form on land, full siren form which on land is half siren, half animal, and full animal. Does that answer your question?”.

“Yes I suppose it does.” he chuckles, “Okay next question, ye said something about an animal form, can you elaborate?” he asks.

“Good question, well there are many different types of sirens but they all have those basic forms, each clan has a different animal that they can turn into. You can use your animal form at the age of seven and they only come out for the first time after lots of help from an adult or a traumatic event, I don’t know how many clans there are exactly but I know a few like the Snake tongue, Bear claw, East Pacific, Dragon scale, Tiger teeth, Bunny tail, Frog spots, Bird feather, Horseshoe, Turtle shell, and Butterfly wings.” I continue.

"Why does all of em have an animal in the name except the East Pacific clan?" He asks with a confused expression, "I don't know actually, probably because people would be turned away by a name like spider leg clan." I shrug.

"Ya know I've been called a spider quite a few times myself." He laughs then the look in his eyes darken, a hostile energy radiates off him for a moment then he snaps back to reality and notices my guard is up, "I have a mix of good and bad memories that involve that name, that's all." He responds and clears his throat.

"Question six, ya said that there are many different types of sirens, did ye say that because they can be different animals, or did ya mean something else?" He asks after he recomposes himself, "Interesting deduction, it would be the latter, there are many different types of sirens that are not defined by their clan and animal." I respond, he looks at me like he's waiting for something for a moment.

"Do I have to ask for more details?" He asks with a raised brow, "The answer to your seventh question is, yes." I state with a smirk.

He rolls his eyes and asks his question, "What are the different types of sirens?", "Well, I'm glad you asked!" I say with a sly grin and he scoffs, "There are eight different types of sirens, the seductive siren, like my best friend Rinsuke. Seductive sirens are the only ones with a haunting voice, they can control any human or animal with their voice at will. The shield-scaled siren, their scales are the third toughest material in the world, even bone-eating sirens can't chew through them. Bone-eating sirens have more rows of teeth than any other siren, they have ten rows of teeth, each tooth is strong enough to go through bones like butter and the only things they can't go through are a shield-scaled siren's scales, siren diamonds, and dragon gold. The deep sea siren can survive under high pressure and prefer the dark. The vampire siren drains blood from their prey and is nocturnal, but unlike the human vampire legends, the sun only hurts their eyes and doesn't kill them. The clone siren as Its name states can make illusions that look like it cloned itself and it can send shockwaves through the air and water that makes it seem like the clone is attacking. There are also normal sirens, the basic ones that don't have any other power other than their elemental power. And last but not least the shape-shifting siren, can turn into anything organic or nonorganic but only after reaching maturity."

"Damn that's a lot of sirens. My next question is, what are elemental powers?" He asks, "Elemental powers are powers every siren has, they gain their power at the age of eight and can change their eyes at the age of nine, so to find out what power they have the adults go to the surface and collect jars of fireflies. The kids then take a jar each and try to channel their magic into the jar, whatever color the fireflies lights turn represents what power they have." I answer as the sun starts to set.

Moon notices that the light is draining from the room, "Alright I think that's enough questions for today, we can pick it back up tomorrow evening, for now, ye can use the right bed and I can sleep with Sun in the left." He states as he rises from his chair and makes himself comfortable in the bed with Sun.

I stand and lay down on the bed he offered to me, "Ya not gonna lay under the covers? T's cold tonight and yer gonna get sick if ye don't." He says after sitting up to look at me, "Covers?" I ask, "I don't know what that is, I haven't slept in a bed in over eighteen years." I stare with a blank expression.

He sighs and lifts his hand with said fabric, "This be a cover, t's used to keep yerself warm while ye sleep.", I stand up and raise the blanket and go under it, "Like this? Normally the cleaner fish keep me warm at night."

"Aye, that's how t's used. Wait, cleaner fish? So ye were the one that they were so interested in every night, I was wondering what was under our ship." He states as I drift into a dreamless slumber.

🌙~Pov change~🌙

My head hit the floor with a loud noise, "argh! Fuck'n Sun, ya knocked me out of bed!" I hiss as he lays in a starfish formation on the bed, unaffected.

"Is everything alright?" A sleepy voice mumbles as they sit up, "What was that noise?" They ask while rubbing their eye.

"T's nothing, Sun just sleep kicked me off the bed, just go back to sleep." I grumble while standing and rubbing my head.

"Oh, my older brother used to do that to me. Ya wanna sleep over here?" They ask as they pat the spot next to them, "I don't move in my sleep so don't have to worry about getting ejected from the bed again."

"Are ye sure? I don't want to make ya uncomfortable." I respond while walking to the table, "Yes I'm sure, and you don't make me uncomfortable."

When they said that I was shocked, to say the least, ‘They aren't uncomfortable with me?’ The only thing that has ever not been uncomfortable around me is my brother Sun, even every member of our crew is uncomfortable in my presence.

"Well if ya insist." I state while masking my emotions as I've been since the second day I gained consciousness.

I walk to the right side of my bed and lift the covers enough to slip underneath them, I then turn around and face the wall after I notice that they have already fallen back to sleep.

🔆~Pov change~🔆

I wake up to the sun right in my eyes causing me to groan and sit up, I wipe the artificial drool off my chin and wince at the pounding in my neural circuits from my hangover. I turn my head to look at Moon but instead am greeted by h/c hair cuddled into his chest under the covers and Moon's arm wrapped around Y/n with his face nuzzling the top of their head. My eyes widen at the sight and I stumble to get out of bed, I trip and catch myself at the last second. I hear grumbling as Moon wakes up, he opens his eyes slowly and makes contact with my shocked expression then raises a brow. I point down at Y/n and he looks down, his eyes widen and he sucks in a quick breath causing them to stur, they groan and cuddle deeper into Moon's chest while still asleep. He then blushes and starts to panic, I shush him and gesture for him to calm down. He takes a deep breath to calm himself then looks down at the sleeping creature in his arms and relaxes, I sign to him, *What are they doing here, and why they are in your bed with you*. He responds with a quick version of last night making sure to sign slowly so as not to wake them, I relax when I realize that nothing happened.

'Wait, why am I so relieved that nothing happened between them? I should be disappointed that Moon didn't find someone.' I think to myself, the confusion emanate on my face.

A snap breaks me from my thoughts, I look at Moon as he snaps again and signs, *What's wrong?*. I shake my head and respond by signing, *Nothing, just a hangover*. I walk over to the table and sit in my chair, then I put my arms on the table and lay my head on my arms. I hear sturing again and lift my head upright as Y/n opens their eyes, it takes them a little bit to look up after realizing that they were looking at a shirt, when they make eye contact with Moon they blush and panic causing them to fall off the edge of the bed.

They stand immediately after hitting the floor "I'm okay!", They dust themselves off "Just wasn't expecting to wake up in a chest".

"Ye was cuddling me when I woke up and I couldn't move without waking ya." Moon says as he gets out of bed.

"Sorry if I made you uncomfortable I normally don't move in my sleep, but I also normally have my hands stuck to something like a rock so the currents don't take me." Y/n apologizes while stretching.

After they finish stretching they turn to me, "Hi again Captain Sun."

"Hello." I wave, "Moon said that yer gonna be joining us, but I'm also gonna ask ye some questions."

"I can answer any questions you may have later in the day away from the crew. Until then is there anything that you want, maybe some water?" They ask, noticing my hangover.

"Yeah, It's down in the storage room." I say and point down, "You want some too Captain Moon?"

"Um, yess that'd be lovely~." He hisses as he sits across from Sun, "Okay, be back in a few."

They return with two empty glasses, “Where’s the water?” Me and Moon ask, they walk over to the table and place the glasses in front of us, “Just a moment, I'm about to show you something that I've only shown one person." They state and walk to the window.

⭐~Pov change~⭐

I take a deep breath, "Okay um, don't freak out." I say as I turn to face them.

My eye changes, my ears turn to fins, then the sides of my face and my shoulders grow scales. I close my eyes and concentrate then I hear Sun gasp, I open my eyes and bring the floating bubble of water in the window.

“That’s sea water, t’s too salty to drink. “ Moon states, I pull out a jar and open it, “Where’d ya get that from?” Sun asks.

“From the storage area, I knew that I would need it.” I say as I take out the salt and debris to form their own floating bubbles, I then float the sea salt into the jar and close the lid. “Pink salt is healthier than sea salt because of all the minerals it has that sea salt doesn’t, but I think sea salt is tastier on food.” I state as I rattle the jar, I take the bubble of floating debris and shoot it out of the window and back into the water. I divide the water into two bubbles and float them over to the table, they hover right in front of the two captain’s faces and simultaneously fall into the two glasses with a small splash that gets a drop or two of water on each of their faces.

“Woah, how’d ya do that!?” Sun asks excitedly, “How did ye do that, I didn’t hear anything about that last night, which type of siren has those powers?” Moon asks.

“Any type of siren from any clan can do it, just depends on their family, very few families have this ability.” I state, “Oh.” Moon says, How does it work exactly?” he then asks.

“Well, some families have an extra power or powers. My mom’s side of the family can split apart conjoined molecules like H2O and NaCl aka water and salt, and my dad’s side of the family can make siren diamonds out of stone, they can also absorb siren diamonds to keep them hidden outside their muscles to bring them to the surface of their scales or skin to use as armor or shoot them out their bodies at high speed for projectile weapons. I state.

"What are siren diamonds exactly?" Sun asks with a tilt of his head, "Siren diamonds are clear, sparkling, round, coin-shaped diamonds that are about five centimeters wide and one centimeter thick, they are equal to one thousand gold coins or ten thousand silver coins or a hundred thousand bronze coins and are very rare unless you or someone you know has the ability to make them, they are also the strongest material in the world.” I respond with a smile.

“What’s the other strongest material in the world?” Moon asks, “Dragon gold is the second strongest material and shield siren scales are the third strongest, then there’s bone-eating siren teeth and the next strongest is spider onyx coins then butterfly silver.” I state.

“Okay that’s enough questions, for now, we need to get to work, where are we off to next?” I ask, “We’r goin ta the enchanted forest next, I have some business with someone who lives on one of the three islands. Sun responds, “Alright let's go, off to the enchanted forest!“ I shout as the two captains stand and we all make our way out the door onto the deck.

And just like that I'm yeeted back into consciousness, the desk lamp blinding me. I wipe the drool off my chin looking down, contract papers scattered around the floor and desk. Picking them up I notice that I've missed one, reading through it I see a line of bold text.

'Fazbear entertainment is not responsible for any harm, death, trama, or any kind of harassment to daycare employee(s) if lights are off in the Superstar Daycare™', "What's that supposed to mean?" I grumble to myself, still half asleep.

I've heard of the Sun animatronic and how it's creepy, but how bad could it be? It's a nanny bot. I've also heard of Sun's night time counterpart Moon and how it's absolutely terrifying, but that's because of it's security protocols, right? I mean Fazbear Entertainment™ must have limiters on it? It would never be able to harm a child, let alone an employee. But if that is the case then why would they stop naptime in the Superstar Daycare™, and why have employees sign this waver?

I shake my head, 'Probably just Fazbear trying to cover their asses.' I think as I leave caution to the wind as I sign the last paper.

･:*₊‧°~[🔆°･:*•.｡⭐｡.•*:･°🌙]~°‧₊*:･

I arrive at the Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizza Plex™ just before 10:30 PM, I enter via the main entrance. The Pizza Plex is still bustling with loud kids and grumbling parents waiting in line at the gift shops, some parents dragging their crying children through the Freddy brand entry gates and out the front doors.

*Hello Fazbear friends! It is now 10:30 PM, the Superstar Daycare™ closed at 10 PM, any Superstars who have not been picked up will now be taken to the security office to wait for a parent or guardian to pick them up. Thank you for visiting Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizza Plex™!*

After listening to the announcement I walk up to the gate and tried to open it but it doesn't budge, "Hey you, what do you think you're doing?!" A guard with brown hair asks sternly, "I, um." He raises a brow at me as I stumble over my words.

"New. Work." Is all I'm able to spit out and I mentally smack myself on the forehead, "Excuse me?" He questions with a confused expression, I fumble with my pockets till I find the security badge, I quickly shove it out in front of me like an anime school girl with a love letter and he looks at it for a moment then pulls out his scanner, "Oh! Your Y/n, the new night guard for the daycare." He states and reaches his hand out to me, I take it and shake it, "You already have level 7 clearance! It took me a year to get level 8 starting from level 3, how in the world?!" He exclaims.

"I, um, they just sent it to me in the mail." I squeak, "Well it definitely isn't a mistake, it's listed on your company profile." He comments, "Okay well, I'm Vince. I'll be working with you tonight but not in the daycare, those two give me the creeps. I'll be working throughout the rest of the Pizza Plex, we'll be the only two humans in the building tonight when it closes at 12:00 AM. Since it's Monday the bar in the East Arcade with DJMM will be closed until Friday, so you don't have to worry about drunken fools." He states and gestures for me to follow him.

We walk up to the entry Gates, "To open these you need to tap your badge against the scanner, like so." He States as he pushes his badge up against the black flat surface on top of the space holding the gates, the gate that he was in front of opens up to let him in, he walks through and it immediately closes behind him, "Now you try, we have to see if the badge works."

I walk up to the same gate I was trying to open before and hesitantly put my badge on the scanner, it opens and I walk through, but apparently not fast enough as it pushes me by my butt when it closes behind me, I turn and puff my cheeks at the gate.

I quickly fix my face and turn back to Vince, "Okay so do I need a tour of the whole place or just the daycare?" I ask him, "We'll start with just the daycare, then I'll show you a new exhibit each day, but you will have no need to memorize them. You will only be working in two locations, one location is the daycare, you will work there from Mondays to Thursdays. The next location is the East Arcade, you work there Friday through Sunday, and you will only be focused in the main bar area. In both areas while you are working there, you will be required to perform any maintenance on said animatronics in the area you are currently working, and perform other menial tasks that will be explained to you via company email that you will receive as soon as you clock in. Any other tasks will be informed to you via text, but those tasks have a rare occurrence, the few reasons why you would have a task via text would be; if an animatronic goes rogue, there's an intruder, or Chica is just going through all the trash again in your location." He states as we walk, "And yes Chica goes through the trash, we have automatic sensors in all of the bottoms of the trash cans that activate a half hour after the Pizza Plex closes, you won't get an alert if something is put in but you'll get alert if something is taken out, this was put in place in order to stop her from going to the trash and eating it." He states, "Oh yeah, I almost forgot! " he exclaims as we reach the daycare shutter door with an eclipse on it.

He reaches into his breast pocket and pulls out an orange square shaped like Freddy's head, "This is a Fazwatch; you will use it to clock in, receive company issued emails, send repair requests to parts and service, and receive trash indications from trash in the area you are currently in. Also anybody with a company issued Fazwatch can text each other as long as they have their code built into their Fazwatch." He states and fiddles with the watch, he then hands it to me and instructs me to put it on my wrist, " I have already put my code in, code for parts and service, and the code to the main office. Now let's introduce you to the Sun animatronic." He states and we walk up to the shutters and they start to rise.

'Oh, it's time for the strugglers to be taken to the office already?!' I think as Officer Stacy comes and picks up the five remaining kids, "O-Officer Stacy, can't they stay for a little while longer?" I ask her frantically, "Sun, you know they can't stay, it's 10:30, we need to take them to the security office to make sure their parents are penalized for leaving them 30 minutes after daycare hours." Officer Stacy states with a huff, "I-I know but-" I start to say but I'm cut off when the door is closed behind her and the last of the kids as they exit the daycare.

'How rude, we should teach her a lessson.' Moon hisses in the shared mind space, "No. No, I will not, Officer Stacy may be rude but that's no reason to hurt her!" I whine while tugging on my rays and shaking my head, I call the wire and retreat up to my room.

'You're no fun, Sunny.' Moon grumbles, "I'm more fun than you, the little Superstars love playing pretend with me." I state matter of factly, 'Well you're boring me to death, let's watch the security cameras, I'm sure they'll be more fun to watch.' Moon states as he pulls up the security feed, "Moony! You know you're not supposed to watch the security footage unless it's after the Pizza Plex closes and you're doing your patrols!" I screech at him.

'You say that but you like watching the video footage too, so stop being so loud and just watch it with me.' Moon grumbles, I sigh in defeat and link into the same camera he's watching, we watch as a girl tries to push open a gate at the entrance and get stopped by Officer Vince, 'If she's trying to break in, she's not very good at it.' Moon cackles at her dumb effort, we watch as she gets nervous and starts fumbling with her hands, she pulls out a card and bows after shooting it out in front of her, the Officer Vince scans it and smiles then proceeds to show her how to use it.

The gate pushes her forward as it closes because she wasn't fast enough going through it, she turns around and puffs her cheeks at it, "Who is she? What she did just now was so cute! Did you see her Moony, did ya, did ya?!" I ask him excitedly, 'Yes, I did. But I wouldn't call it cute, more like something one of the spoiled brats you watch do when you tell them that they can't do something.' He grumbles, "Moony, why do you always have to be so mean?" I ask him with a pout, 'I'm not being mean, I'm being honest.' Moon states, I huff and refocus on security cameras.

Me and Moon watch as they ascend the escalators and start making their way towards the daycare, "They're coming this way. WAIT! They're coming this way! Oh Moony, we're going to meet them!" I shout as I run around our room in circles excitedly then skid to a halt, "Oh what a mess, I was so worried about not listening to you that I forgot to clean the daycare!" I screech and scramble to the stage leading to the ball pit, I jump off as fast as I can and run to the nearest mess and start frantically cleaning it up. I get done with it and go on to the next messy spot and clean it up as fast as I can, by the time I'm almost done cleaning up the daycare I hear the shutters open and two sets of footsteps walk into the daycare lobby, I hear a voice belonging to Officer Vince.

"This is the Superstar Daycare Lobby, this is where kid drop off happens. You have no reason to be up here unless you are entering or leaving the or stopping Chica from eating trash, your area is the main daycare in the center on the other side of the net. There are two entry points to the main daycare; the slide, which is big enough for children and the daycare attendant to go down, or in the attendance case to climb up to stop rule breakers from climbing up and people who are banned from the daycare from going down. The other entry point it's the pickup area, which is at the end of the staircase. Those big wooden doors down there, those are the main entrance for parent and guardian pickups and employees." He says as he gestures to every place he mentions, we descend down the stairs to the wooden door he was talking about, I silently observe while nodding as he mentions every area, "And now it's time to meet the Sun animatronic, but before we go in there I have to warn you. It can be a bit, um, eccentric and hyperactive." He states and proceeds to scan his badge next to the door.

The big wooden doors creek open and we walk in, "This is the security desk, this is where you spend all of your time in the daycare. The animatronics are not allowed in this area, so we called this the Safe Zone. If you have any menial tasks that you have been required to do, it will mostly be done on these computers. You will also use the computers for supplies restock, and equipment repair, like if one of the generators short, or one of the tables or chairs become broken, or if one of the play structures are damaged, or if they're hook and wire become broken or are malfunctioning." He states and gestures for me to follow him out from behind the security desk.

He walks us to the multicolored mat in front of one of the play structures, "Sun get yourself over here, I have someone for you to meet!" He shouts after cupping his hands together and using them as a megaphone, a giant Yellow robot bounces out from behind one of the play structures and stops as it notices us.

It continues as it starts hopping back and forth between it's leg, "Oh, a new friend, so exciting!" It says as it approaches us, "It's been a while since we met a new friend, all of our Superstars are either regulars or have been here before and only come once in a while!"

"Okay that's enough, I'm going to need you to shut up! I called you to introduce you to Y/n and register them into your database, not to hear you ramble!" Vince states with an attitude, the Sun animatronic stops moving and talking, it's sun rays shrink into it's head a little bit, "Good, now." He states and turns to me, "What's with that look? You look like I just did something wrong, what did I do?." He asks like he didn't just yell at the animatronic.

I stare at him like he just grew two heads, "What do you mean what did you just do, you yelled at him like he just did something wrong. He was just excited to meet me, it's not like he hurt anybody or anything. Sure he was moving around a lot and talking a lot, but that doesn't give you the right to just yell at him like that." I state sternly, Vince looks at me weird because one moment I was fumbling over my own words and now I'm calm, cool, collected, and irritated, "Tch, I can talk to him however the hell I want, he's just a robot. You need to learn your place, level 7, I'm a level 8 so I'm your superior." He snaps at me.

"Yes, you are my superior. But look at it!" I say as I gestured towards the Sun animatronic and it flinches like I'm about to hit it, "It looks like a kicked puppy, if it had a tail it would be in between it's legs right now. No one deserves to be treated like that, even though it's a robot, it's actions are appropriate to your actions!" I state while poking him in the chest, causing him to back up with each poke, he glares at me, unable to come up with a comeback and proceeds to turn on his heel and leave slamming the door behind him, I put my hands on my hips and glare back at him as he leaves, "Good riddance!" I state and rub the filth off my hands from when I shook his hand earlier.

I hear Officer Vince talk in the lobby for a while as I clean, right as I finish cleaning I hear them come down the stairs. The main doors open and I hear them walk behind the security desk, he explains everything in the security area, then proceeds to walk to the story area.

"Sun get yourself over here, I have someone for you to meet!" He shouts at me, I come out from behind the play structure I was hiding behind, acting as if I hadn't seen them walking or have been watching them.

I stop in my tracks as I see her with my own eyes for the first time, 'She's the most beautiful star I've ever seen in the sky!' I exclaim to Moon in the head space, 'I still think she looks like space debris.' Moon grumbles in response, I ignore him and continue walking.

I start hopping back and forth, "Oh, a new friend, so exciting!" I say as I approach them, "It's been a while since we met a new friend, all of our Superstars are either regulars or have been here before and only come once in a while!" I state and stop when I reach a meter exactly from them, because that's how close I'm allowed to be to the employees.

"Okay that's enough, I'm going to need you to shut up! I called you to introduce you to Y/n and register them into your database, not to hear you ramble!" Officer Vince yells with an attitude, I freeze place and my sun rays shrink into my head a little bit, "Good, now." He states and turns to her, Y/n, he called her.

"What's with that look? You look like I just did something wrong, what did I do?." He asks when he notices her facial expression, the moment after he asks that her facial expression shifts to one of complete and utter, "What do you mean what did you just do, you yelled at him like he just did something wrong. He was just excited to meet me, it's not like he hurt anybody or anything. Sure he was moving around a lot and talking a lot, but that doesn't give you the right to just yell at him like that." She states with malice in her voice.

No one has ever stood up for me, not one since we were activated. But she's different, she's like a comet flying into a satellite. 'Moony, are you watching this?' I ask my brother, 'Yes.' Is all he says.

Officer Vince looks at her weirdly, and she just looks back at him with an extreme amount of defiance in her eyes, "Tch, I can talk to him however the hell I want, he's just a robot. You need to learn your place, level 7, I'm a level 8 so I'm your superior." He snaps at her.

"Yes, you are my superior. But look at it!" She says and quickly sticks her hand out in my direction, I flinch as a natural response to her sudden movement, "It looks like a kicked puppy, if it had a tail it would be in between it's legs right now. No one deserves to be treated like that, even though it's a robot, it's actions are appropriate to your actions!" She state while poking him in the chest, causing him to back up with each poke, he glares at her for defining him then turns on his heel and leave slamming the door behind him, she puts her hands on her hips with back to me as he leaves, "Good riddance!" She states and rubs her hands together.

"It’s cold." I say while shivering.

'White snow.'

"What is white?" I ask while looking around, "What is snow?" I ask as small cold balls fall on my glove and in my very long h/c hair.

'It is something that is not red.'

"So then, what is red?" I question, A man walks forward from the snow, "Are you lost, little girl?" He asks with a creepy smirk, the aura surrounding him being a dark purple.

'That's.'

"Want your blood." He states with blood lust in his eyes, and his hostile aura bursts out at me.

'Beasts in human form that drink the blood of living humans.'

I stumble backwards, falling into the snow. The man lunges at me, "Ahh, NO DON’T!" I shout and stumble backwards, landing on the snow.

'They are…'

A boy appears from the blizzard and kills the man before he reaches me, "A disgrace to all vampires." the boy states, licking the blood off his hand he used.

'Vampires...'

'You must never get close to a vampire.'

The boy walks forward and extends his hand, "Are you alright?" he asked sweetly.

'If you do…'

I reach for his hand and he pulls me to my feet and embraces me.

'This is Cross Academy, a famous private school where all the students live on campus in the dorms.'

There's a crowd of girls gathered in front of the gate to the moon dorms, so I run through to the front, "All right everyone step back, it's way past curfew for all you day class students just turn around and go back to your dorms.", I state with a bored expression.

"We can see what you're trying to do Cross-Senpai, it's so obvious, you just want to keep the night class students all to yourself!" a fan girl says, "Yeah you're just taking advantage of the fact that you're the headmaster's daughter!" another pitches in.

"That's not true, I'm a night class student and member of the disciplinary committee!" I show them my armband, they all start fangirling again, ignoring me in the process, "No!" I glare at them, causing them to back up a bit, the doors to the moon dorms start to open,"Damn it." I sigh, I turn to see all the girls lined up with a path made for the night class.

I step out the way to the right, the night class starts to gracefully walk through, "Good morning girls! I could hear you all loud and clear from the dorm, you're all looking quite cute today!" My classmate Aido-San yells to all his fans, "Oh look, it's Idol-Senpai, I mean Aido-Senpai!" A girl next to me says, "Hi!" He says as he continues waving to his fangirls.

"Hanabusa..." The boy behind him says in a warning, "Oh relax your so stiff Akatsuki" Aido-San responds, "Over here!" one of the fangirls yells, "Hello Kain-Senpai!" another girl shouts to gain Kain-San's attention.

Aido turned toward one of the girls and shot her with a finger gun "Bang~", the girl faints dramatically causing me to roll my eyes, "Oh I want to be shot too!" the girl behind me yells and knocks me down, almost knocking off my gold lip ring with a f/j set in it, which I never take off, to join the gathering of girls around Aido-San, "Shoot me too!" one of the girls amongst the crowd of girls that swarmed him says, as I readjust it, "Bang, bang, bang bang" says as he points in the swarm at different girls.

"Y/n-Chan, are you alright?" The boy who saved me ten years ago says while extending his hand to me once more.

'My first memory...'

'Is of that snowy day.'

"I'm fine, Kaname-Senpai" I state as I look at his hand in front of me, still in a half-daze from my flashback, "Thank you for all your help" he says sweetly as he retracts his hand after realizing that I'm not going to take it, I quickly stood up feeling the glares from his fangirls and my classmate Souen-San burning holes in me, "Just doing my job." I state plainly while dusting myself off.

"When you act reserved like this I feel lonely." he states with a little sadness in his voice, "It’s because you saved my life, there's no reason you should keep being nice to me when I haven't even repaid you." I state, "Don’t worry about it, that was so long ago." he says as he cups my cheek.

Suddenly Zero snatches Kaname-Senpai's wrist, pulling it from my face, "Zero!" I say in a bit of a warning, "Your class is starting soon Kuran-Tama, you should go now." He says not even paying attention to me and using the Tama honorific as a show of disrespect to Kaname-Senpai, "You're so scary, Mister disciplinary committee." he responds a little sarcastically, and Zero scoffs at him as Kaname-Senpai turns and starts to walk to the main building.

"Kuran-Senpai!" two of his fans come over to him before he even makes it a meter away from his spot, "Um, would you accept this?" They each hold out a gift to him, he barely glances at the gifts as he immediately accepts them, "Thank you."

"All of you get back to your dorms right now!" Zero shouts at the girls gawking at the night class, all the girls scream and run away to their dorms, "Everyday they’re out here causing a racket." Zero grumbles in a salty tone.

"You're late." I state sternly and glare at him, "You know about the other night class students right?" he asks to sidestep my comment, "Don’t try to change the topic, of course I know," I retort.

'They're completely different from us, and I'm aware of that.'

I watch Kaname-Senpai walk away as he continues heading to class.

"This blood tablet developed by the night class is very effective and accepted worldwide, you’re all not just the pride of this school but also of the new vampire generation." The sensai states to the class, "It’s not a big deal," Souen-San comments, "It was just a group project," Takuma-Senpai agrees.

"Who does Kiryu Zero think he is, grabbing dorm president Kuran-Senpai like that!?" Aido-san says, scribbling over a picture he drew of Zero, "What's this?" Souen-San asks, picking up Aido-San's notebook, "This looks like someone in love," she said, looking at it.

"As if, I'd destroy the disciplinary committee if I got a chance!" Aido shouts at her, "But that girl looks tasty."Shiki-San states behind me as he keeps his head on the table while looking in my direction and licks his lips, Kaname-Senpai hears this and closes his book.

"Shiki-San..." Takuma-Senpai looks up from his book, "Hmm?" Shiki raised his head to look at him, "Time to feed." Toya-San says, tossing two blood tablets in the air towards Shiki-San, he chomps the air, catching them in his mouth.

Takuma-Senpai closed his book and Kaname-Senpai stands from his seat to sit next to me, "You seem awfully interested in her, Kuran-Sama. She's just a human." Souen-San states, like I'm not in the room.

"I guess you could say that. She is very accident prone." Kaname states simply, Souen-San places the corner of Aido-San's notebook on his hand and leans on it, "Ow, ow, ow, Souen-San do you wish to die!" He pulls his hand out from under the book and slams it on the table, Souen-San ignores him.

"The clouds will cover the moon soon," Kaname-Senpai announced calmly, "Yes, it will be our time." Takuma-Senpai agrees, the lights go out and everyone's eyes glow red except mine, "The night is made for vampires." Kaname-Senpai comments as his eyes shine a brilliant bloody red.

'Creatures who hide in the darkness and are the source of legends…'

'Their existence is the secret we must protect.'

"I can't accept this, we are the disciplinary committee not bodyguards for celebrities!" Zero shouts at the headmaster after his patrol which ends at the same time my lunch starts, "I know it's hard doing this every night-" Headmaster Cross states but is cut off mid-sentence, "If you know that then maybe you should add more people to the disciplinary committee." Zero grumbles.

"I have Y/n, but she’s barely any help!" He states with a thumb pointing in my direction, "At least I'm not late all the time." I say, rolling my eyes and crossing my arms, "I'm not going too." the headmaster says in a serious tone.

"It's our job to keep their secret, that's why the academy is divided into two!" He states as his voice goes cheerful, "We can't let the day class students know that they're vampires that's why your job is so important, I can only trust you two." he continues, back in a serious tone.

"I know it's tiring and people hate you for it but…" he paused partway to change his voice again, "By giving this job to my dear son and strong daughter I relieve any guilt I have!"

Zero slams his fist in the center of the table causing the table to break in half, "I admit I owe you a lot for taking me in, but I don't remember agreeing to be your son!"

"Kiryu-Kun, you're such a stickler for details." Headmaster states in a pout, "Y/n, you're actually his daughter. Try to talk some sense into him." Zero states after he stands upright.

"Eh? I like being in the night class, and everyone from both the night classes and the day classes get along fine. I'm just fine being on the disciplinary committee, it's quite fun and it lets me get out of my dorm, and I get exercise plus some fresh air. If not for my role then I would be hauled away in my dorm eating snacks and playing video games all night except for during class, and I already sleep from dawn till the end of class for the day students." I state with a neutral expression, "Oh Y/n, you're such a big help! You make me so happy!" The headmaster says while crying tears of joy and reaches over the table to try and hug me, I step back out of his reach and he flops over the table like a sad puppy.

"You know I don't like physical contact, Headmaster." I state to him, "Call me dad." He states sadly and starts to cry again, "Headmas-, uh, Dad-" I start and he accidentally cuts me off, "The only one who truly understands my ideology is you, Y/n! I want the dark days where vampires and humans fight to end, I want the youth of both sides to open their hearts and minds, to build a bridge that closes the gap between the two races to bring eternal harmony and happiness!" He yells cheerfully.

"That's why I built this academy, and invited the students of the night class!" He continues while jumping back and forth, "I can't take this anymore." Zero states and leaves, causing the headmaster to stop mid-jump, "Zero!" I yell after him right as the door closes, "He left again, this is getting ridiculous." I state and turn back to the headmaster.

"Well, I understand how Kiryu-Kun feels. There's no denying that there are vampires that only wish to harm, but the same goes for humans." He states bitterly, "Well, Kaname-Senpai is different!" I state as I slam my hands on either side of the table, "There are vampires like Kaname-Senpai who believe in what's right, so Zero has no right assuming every vampire is bad!" I continue as the headmaster inspects his now fixed table, "Your idea will work, I'm sure of it!" I finish, "Y/n!" The headmaster says and goes to hug me again but I stock off without realizing he was.

"Again!" He says as he flops over the table once again, I open the window and stop with one foot on the sill, "Just leave it up to me, Headmaster! I state and start going out the window, "Itte Kamasu!" I announce as I jump off the outside ledge, "It's Dad!" He says while crying.

'I have no memories of anything before I was five years old.'

I land on my feet on the grass below, I start running towards the main building for my second quarter patrol.

'On that snowy night, Kaname-Senpai brought me to the house of his acquaintance, Headmaster Cross.'

'And without knowing anything about me, he took me in.'

'I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for Kaname-Senpai.'

'All that happened during that incident ten years ago, and marked the start of my life.'

I stop at the main building to catch my breath, leaning my back against a pillar holding up an outside ledge of a walkway outside the building.

'Yes…, Kaname-Senpai is my beginning.'

I touch my throat at the memory of the vampire he killed. I hear footsteps and raise my guard only to relax after I realize that they belong to Kaname-Senpai and Takuma-Senpai.

"Ah, Konichi. Thanks for patrolling the area." Takuma-Senpai says when he notices me, I grow flustered at the sight of Kaname-Senpai but I make sure not to show it.

I bow and quickly stock off to continue patrolling, "Y/n-Chan is interesting, isn't she?" Takuma-Senpai asks Kaname-Senpai, "There aren't any other girls like her type in the night class." He states.

"Ah…" Kaname-Senpai agrees and his eyes start to glow, "To someone used to the dark… She's a blinding sight." He states and starts walking again.

Takuma-Senpai continues to stand in place as he looks to the ground then back up to Kaname-Senpai's back, "Everyone likes living here, but don't forget…" he states and Kaname-Senpai pauses his steps, "Because of orders from you, a Pureblood, we are abiding by the rules of the humans... But just barely.", "I know that, Ichigo." Kaname-Senpai states then continues walking, "Hmm." Takuma-Senpai hums in acknowledgment.

During my patrol I feel myself getting more flustered by the second so I make a small detour to the water fountain, I arrive and stick my head in the stream flowing from the swan's mouth.

"He's different from me. The world he lives in, the things he sees…" I remind myself then pull my head out of the water. I sigh and return to my patrol, not noticing Zero sitting on the grass by a bush a couple yards away from the fountain. His breath is uneven and he slowly looks up and puts a hand on his face, covering one of his eyes in the process. A rush of blood lust races through his veins, he places a hand on his throat at the feeling then reaches into his uniform to retrieve his box of blood tablets. He drops them by accident as his breath becomes more labored, causing it to open and two fall out onto the grass next to the box.

I always visit my day class friend Yori-Chan after her class. I always get there a little early and see Zero napping at his desk in the back of the room.

"Kiryu-San, Kiryu-San!" The Sensei shouts to wake him up, he slowly lifts his head to look down at the teacher in the front of the classroom, "You're always sleeping in class, the disciplinary committee must be taxing…" He states, "But you still aren't allowed to sleep in class. Detention!" He yells as the bell rings.

I walk over to Zero as everyone starts to clear out, "That's rough Zero." I state as I hit his back causing him to glare up at me. I chuckle and make my way down to the third row and slide into my normal spot next to Yori, "You and Zero must have a hard time keeping up in class. You guys are always working during the night and sleeping during the day, you're like vampires." She comments, "Yori-Chan, you don't seriously think vampires are real." I asked her while hiding my panic behind a blank expression.

"Of course not." She says calmly while packing up her stuff and starts walking to the door, I stand up and start to follow her to the door noticing Zero is already gone, "Of course Zero is skipping out on detention again, I would too if I got detention." I say as I put my arms behind my head and catch up with Yori-Chan.

"I expected you to stay with him for detention, to get both your grades up." Yori-Chan states as we walk through the double doors, "Why would I stay with him? My grades are perfectly fine." I asked her as we continue walking, "You guys are friends." She states.

In the stables Zero is sleeping peacefully in the hay next to Lily-Chan, she bends down and nibbles his hair to wake him.

He stirs a little and opens his eyes, "What is it, Lily?" He asks the white horse,"Oh…" He says unhappily as he sees me standing in the stable doorway.

"Damn, do you know how hard it is to find you Zero?" I grumble at him with my hands on my hips, Zero starts to sit up from the hay, "As a member of the disciplinary committee, you're not supposed to skip out on detention!" I say with a raised voice, "But I honestly don't care about that, I care about you skipping out on duties! We're supposed to be at the gate already to hold back the fan girls, you're always late!" I state raising my voice further.

Lily-Chan gets angry and starts neighing at me and huffing, I glare at her not startled at all.

He turns to her and starts patting her leg, "Calm down, Lily. She's a very simple-minded girl, as you can see. She does not mean you any harm, she doesn't hurt animals, but she doesn't care about hurting humans." He states to calm her down, "Damn right I don't care about hurting humans, they can all suck this dick!" I state with my hands on my hips.

He stares at me wide-eyed for a few moments then starts cracking up laughing,"You came just to get me for detention, didn't you?" He asked after coming down from his laughing fit.

"Detention is over, but like I said I don't care about that." I state as he stands from the hay and makes his way over to me, "I came to get you for duties, just so I know you're not you're not skipping again. It's time for the switchover, remember?" I state while holding out his armband to him, "I know." He says as he snatches it from me while passing by.

'There are places in Zero's mind which are totally off limits.'

"Friends, huh?" I say to myself as I remember Yori-Chan's words, "When Zero is with you, he sleeps like a little child." I say to Lily-Chan as I slowly start walking towards her, she gets mad at me approaching and Huffs at me and starts screaming at me, "Okay okay, I get it Lily-Chan, I'll go now." I say to her as she starts brushing the hay with her back hoove, covering up Zero's pill box.

'Ever since that day.'

'I've come to wish for one thing.'

"Is Kuran-Tama doing well tonight?" Zero asks, snapping me out of my daze, "Eh?" I question him, not hearing what he said, "That hero of yours." He states to refer to what he said.

"I'm not only watching Kaname-Senpai, I'm making sure no one's on the roof." I lie to him to keep my cool, he rolls his eyes not believing a word I'm saying, "Everyone seems to be behaving before class, and so far I haven't seen any day class students. So it's a pretty peaceful night here at the Academy." I state as I look off the edge of the building.

"Do you really believe that?" Zero asks with a scoff, "Eh?" I question as I look back at him, "That things are going well between the day class and the night class." He finishes, "Of course I do, one hundred percent! It's my wish that vampires and humans can get along." I respond to him.

"The Headmaster believes that the ones in the night class agree with his pacifist views and that they are good vampires. But I don't believe it. Not a second." He says after he turns away from me, "Zero…" I say as I turn my body to fully look at him, "There is only one reason why I'm a guardian… And that is to find the most effective way to bring down those beasts in human form. I'm going to patrol elsewhere around the campus." He States as he walks to the edge and jumps onto the grass, "Well class is starting soon for me, so I'll go inside!" I shout out to him as he walks away.

'It's the same as that time…'

I have another flashback, and the Headmaster brings in Zero through the front door.

"This boy is Kiryu Zero-Kun, I'll be taking care of him from today. Y/n. This boy's family was killed by a bad vampire." Headmaster Cross says and Zero opens his eyes, hatred flows in of his aura at the word "vampire" causing his aura to turn purple, and I raise my guard as the hostel aura flows from him.

'I saw such hatred in his eyes and in his aura.'

'After four years together, he's opened up to me enough to joke with me, and I feel closer with him.'

'And yet…'

'I know…'

I look up in the window to see Souen-San walking by heading to class, her character heeding an example in my next thought.

'They're not all gentle vampires like Kaname-Senpai.'

'Even my parents, of whom I have no memory, could have easily been attacked by vampires.'

'And still…'

I'm broke out of my thoughts, and my walk to the nearest entrance, when I see two day class girls sitting on the grass in a clearing next to the main building, "Damn day class students, always prowling around…" I state to myself and put my hand on the side of the edge to push myself over it and land on a tree branch and jump up then fall down and grab it to land on the ground on both feet in front of the two girls, "You there! Tell me your names in class! It's against the rules to be wandering around at night!" I state as I show them my armband, "It's dangerous, go back to your dorms!"

"We came to take pictures of the night class students before their class starts." One girl says, "Can't we take a few?" The other girl says and tries to stand, "Itai…" She says when it hurts to stand, "Are you okay? Can you walk?" The first girl asks.

"Great, you're hurt. Are you bleeding?" I asked her quickly, she shows me her leg and I see blood on it, "Shit, hurry and go back to the dorm! " I shout urgently.

"...Eh?" The first girl questions, "What?!" The hurt girl says, "...Just hurry…!" I quickly say and start pushing them towards the dorms, I sense a presence so I quickly put my hand on my thigh and grab Artemis, "Who's there!" I shout as I extend my rod.

A hand grabs the end of Artemis to stop it from hitting him, "Oh scary… The Headmaster trains you well." Kain-San states as I look at him, "N-night class Akatsuki Kain-Senpai…! Hanabusa Aido-Senpai…!" The hurt girl fangirls,"No way…!" The other girl says as I put their hands together in fangirl harmony.

"Geez… We just came because we smelled blood." Aido-san states as he takes one finger and pushes Artemis away from Kain-San, Kain-San looks at his hand to inspect the damage from my rod then likes the wound, "You're so mean, Y/n-San… Really, we just came to see…" He says and his eyes flash red before he closes his eyes and sniffs the air, "Ah… You smell so nice." He states as he opens his eyes.

"Oh, what'll we do?!" The hurt girl says, "He said we smell nice!" Other girl fangirls, "Aido-san… If you lay a finger on the girls, you'll pay dearly…" I state and trail off at the end as he grabs the end of the Artemis rod and goes closer to me to touch my top hand, "...Did you fall, Y/n-San?" He asks, catching me off guard, "...Eh?" I question.

"What smells nice… Is your blood, Y/n-San." He states as he slowly slides his hand up mine to my wrist and puts pressure on my pressure point causing me to let go of Artemis rod with that hand and he brings the hand up for me to look at it, there's a scratch on the center.

'Damn it! When I jumped from that tree branch…'

I try to pull my hand away from him, "Aido-San!" I grumble when he doesn't let go, "Really…" He says as he pulls it closer to his face and his eyes gleam red, "It's very… tempting." He states as he reveals his fangs and draws a drop of blood from my hand with his left fang, "F-fangs?!" The girl who isn't hurt frets, "A vampire?!" The hurt girl joins her worries.

'Damn it!'

I dropped Artemis and try to get him to let go of my hand as he sinks his fangs into my hand, "Aido-san, don't! Damn it Aido-san!" I complain and he starts to raise his face from my hand and licks the blood off his lip, "I want more…" He States and the girls behind me faint, his other hand sneaks around my shoulders and moves the cuff of my shirt, "Can I take some from your neck?" He asks, "No, you can't!" I shout at him.

"Hanabusa…" Kain-San says to get his attention, "What is it, Akatsuki?" He asks him, "Kiryu-Kun is rapidly approaching, he's about twelve kilometers away." Kain-San warns him, "Damn Kiryu-Tama." Aido-san huff and places a hand over my mouth to keep be quiet and jumps into the top of a tree to hide, and Kain-San jumps into a different tree to hide.

'Oh…'

'The ring…'

I start to feel different, my senses sharpen, my aerial awareness increases and I sense Zero running through the forest about seven kilometers away, I look down at the ground and notice my lip ring from the right side of my bottom lip got knocked out when Aido-San put his hand on my mouth.

'It's been a long time since I've been awakened fully…'

'Finally you're free to use your powers that are your birthright…'

Zero arrives under us and notices the unconscious girls, he quickly looks around noticing that they're alone and picks them up to take them to the Headmasters office.

He leaves with the girls, and I feel my teeth starting to get sharper, and I feel jolts of energy flowing through my veins, My eyes turn e/p/c as I activate my e/p causing Aido-San to shoot out the tree and his back hits the tree in front of us, he slides down the trunk the rest of the way and lands on his butt, "Itai…" He says as he makes it to the ground.

"Hanabusa!" Kain-San shouts as he jumps down from the tree Aido-San hit, "What happened?" He asks him, "I-I don't know, Akatsuki." Aido-San responds with a shocked expression.

I hop down from the tall tree, like it's nothing, and land on both feet, "'Drinking blood on school grounds is strictly forbidden.'" I grumble as my eyes go back to e/c then turn blood red a few moments later, both vampire's eyes widen and they start to shake at the sound of my Pureblood voice.

They're both stuck there like they're frozen to the ground, I gracefully walk over to them and put a hand on both of their heads, '"I would punish you both, but you're not going to remember this anyways."' I state and erase their memories of the past minute, starting with when I jumped down from the tree, they fall asleep a moment after the process is completed and I take my hands off their heads as Kain-San hits the ground.

I turn around and walk over to my spot I was in when I found the girls, and I reached down to pick up my lip ring, and bring it up to my face and refasting it through my lip, my eyes turn back e/c and my senses dull. The energy that was coursing through my veins ceases, and my teeth go back to normal, I close my eyes and reopen them, I look around and see Aido-San and Kain-San sitting in front of a tree, asleep. I huff and chalk it up to, I beat them up, I noticed the girls are gone and remember that Zero took them to the Headmaster's office, "One less thing I have to worry about." I state to myself and head to class to retrieve Kaname-Senpai.

When I reach the class I apologize to the Sensei for being late and immediately go straight to Kaname-Senpai and tell him everything I remember, and take him to the perpetrators, when we arrive at where I left them they start to wake up.

"Thank you for your hard work, Y/n-Chan. I'll take these fools and we'll wait for the Headmaster's punishment." He states as he turns his head to me,"Kuran-Dojo…" Aido-San says as he realizes Kaname-Senpai is standing in front of him, "...Kain…" Kaname-Senpai says as he turns to Kain-San, "Huh?" He questions still in a bit of a daze, "Why didn't you stop Aido? You're just as guilty.", "Oh…" Kain-San says wearily.

"Now then. These two who fainted… They're already at the Headmaster's office, correct?" Kaname-Senpai asks me, "Yes, Zero took them there early when Aido-San was holding me captive in a tree." I respond, "Okay then. When I arrive at the Headmaster's office, I'll erase their memory of tonight." He tells me, "Understood. Thanks, Kaname-Senpai." I say, "I'm sorry he scared you… Y/n-Chan." He states as his eyes soften, "Actually the both didn't even startle me, let alone scare me. They were just bothersome." I state in response, "Still…" Kaname-Senpai says, "You should probably take them to the Headmaster's office as soon as possible, cuz I need to patch up my hand before I go to class." I state and he nods, he then grabs Aido-San by the back of his shirt and drags him to the Headmaster's office with Kain-San following closely behind them.

I make it to the Headmaster's building and take a quick shower to get the smell of blood off of me, while I'm drying my hair Zero walks in signaling the end of his patrol, meaning that it's lunch time for me.

"Hey! Can't you see that it's occupied?!" I shout at him, "If you have any complaints, blame the bath in the dorm which is closed at dusk." He states after turning to me then turning back forward, "The Headmaster's bath is the only one I can use." He states as he starts to take his shirt off.

"Don't undress in front of a girl." I grumble as I throw a tube of lotion at the back of his head, he stops as it makes contact with his neck, "You just thought, "Well, I don't consider you a girl," didn't you?" I question then turn back to the mirror as he drops his shirt, "Fine, then continue." I finish as I continue blow drying my hair.

"I heard that you were bleeding earlier, the smell of blood is gone." He says after sniffing the air around me and I look at him, "Oh, shut up. My hand has finally stopped bleeding." I state and turn back to look at my hand, "But… If it's according to the legends, I may've turned into a vampire." I say and don't see the look on Zero's face.

"I was attacked by a stray vampire ten years ago too… I guess my blood must be very tasty." I comment and don't hear Zero gasp as a wave of bloodlust rushes to him after looking at my neck, "I'll try to be more careful from now on, but you know how accident prone I am. I am a guardian who protects Cross Academy Day and Night, but I am clumsy as hell." I state and continue talking, "Although, it would be disgraceful if I kept letting them bite me." I finish and look at Zero right as he shuts the shower door.

I shrug and go back to drying my hair, unknowing of the mild panic attack he's having in the shower as he leans up against the wall, "Don't…" he whispers and bites his lip, causing his fang to pierce it and a drop of blood runs down his lip that he licks up before it reaches his chin, "...come any closer." He finishes his comment, with blood red eyes.

Aido-San drops a blood tablet into a wine glass full over water and watches it dissolve in it, "Suspended for ten days… But, Y/n-San's blood… was worth it." He states as it finishes dissolving, "Kuran-Dojo will get upset if he hears you saying that." Kain-San states to him, "Fine with me! Surviving on the blood tablets alone isn't good enough for me." Aido-San responds, "Her blood was irresistible… so I…" He starts and is cut off.

"Oi!" Kain-San tries to warn him at the last second, Kaname-Senpai walks in, "So you…?" He questions after he slaps him, "S-sorry." He states as Kaname-Senpai goes to walk up the stairs, "Weren't you asking for that?" Kain-San asks Aido-San after, "Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up!" He responds embarrassed.

'Fierce Beast that suck the blood of living humans.'

'I must never get close to a vampire.'

I think while I make my way to the night class dorms to go to my room, I don't see Kaname-Senpai looking at me through the window as I approach and he licks the blood of Aido-San off his finger, "Y/n."

This is a reader-insert type story, so I will write the reader-insert parts like so:

Yes, I know it's a long list. But, I wanted to give as much freedom to the reader as possible, and I know this isn't how sirens are, but this is my version of them.

Chapter 3: Surprise Encounter

The ship docked a day and a half later at Duran the city of stands or at least that's what the siren community calls it because all around the edge of the city are stall shops, immediately everyone including the captains got to work moving out their items to sell in the storage room and they all split up the cargo and fan out to sell them. I already have a shirt and the skirt that all of my tribe wears, all I have to do is find a place to change so I look around and I see a cove. I swim to the cove off to the side of the mountain near the docks and drag myself onto the sand, the water is at high tide causing the cove to not have much room as I shift to my human form. I exit the cove and head on foot to the rows and rows of shops, I look around at the different types of shops while casually strolling through the area and I occasionally see a member or members of the crew.

I have the feeling that someone is following me so I look behind me as I turn a corner, "Ack!" I step back a step and bow, "I-I'm sorry, I-I wasn't looking where I was going!" I stand up straight and look at who I ran into.

The yellow captain grabbed my hand and kissed it with his silicone lips, "T's quite 'lright little comet, just watch where yer walkin' next time." He says with a sweet smile as he returns up right and gently drops my hand. I stare up at him unable to form words as he tilts his head a bit, "What t's it little miss, see something you like~?" He asks smugly with a smirk.

I clear my throat and as I'm about to say something he drags me into the dark alley next to us, "Hey-, let go!" I try to pull my sleeve away from him, he yanks me further in then slams me into a wall "W-why?" I squeak and look at the light that is the exit.

He grabs my chin and turns my head ruffly to look at him, "Ye look familiar" he said as leaned in closer to examine my face. I blush and turn my head only for it to get pulled back, he starts to drag his hand down "Try to look away again, and see what happens, little comet~" he stops his hand at the base of my neck and wraps his fingers around it and gives a light warning squeeze. I close my eyes and trimble in his grip and he sees this so he releases my throat to instead put his hand next to my head to trap me against the wall, "I didn't mean to scare ye so much" he states as his eyes soften.

A shout from the street catches our attention and I recognize the voice, the blue captain, I start to panic 'No, NO! H-he can't see me, he'll recognize me immediately!'.

I start looking for a way to escape and he catches on quickly, "Sorry for keepin' ya long, ye can go now" and just like that he releases me causing me to slide down the wall to sit as he walks into the light and turns to the right.

I sit there staring at the entrance for a second longer than I stand up and run out of the alley to turn right, I tail the two captains as they talk about their spoils and return to the ship to wait for the rest of the crew to return. While waiting for the others, the captains walk into their room to talk away from the rest, I sneak over to the cove and switch back then swim to the captains' window to listen in on their conversation.

🔆~Pov change~🔆

I walk back to the ship with Moon to show him how much gold I got from selling my cargo load and when we get back to the ship we see no one has returned yet other than us, "Hey Moon, I need to speak with you, in private."

We walk into our quarters and sit across from each other at the table, "Someone bumped into me on the way back to the ship. T's was someone I remember, but I couldn't place their name or where I met them." I state, looking at him for answers.

"Well…" he pauses and gestures at me, "What do they look like?" He huffs, annoyed that I didn't elaborate.

"Oh yeah, well, they have h/l h/c hair, e/c eyes, and s/c skin." I say and wait for Moon's response.

"There's a lot of people in the world, and we've met a lot that match that description, I have to see their face to know who they are." He states and stands up, "I hear the rest of the crew returning, we should greet them." He says then walks out the door.

I quickly stand and run across the room to catch up with him then greet the crew, me and Moon collect the gold from the crew and count it.

"I have exciting news for everyone, we have enough to go drinking and have a bunch of gold left over!" I shout in an ecstatic voice, the crew cheers and throws their playing cards up in the air.

My optics widen at the mess and one twitches and Moon notices, "Everyone clean this up, ye gonna give Sun an aneurysm!" He shouts angrily causing the crew to flinch and start to panic, the crew quickly picking up the cards that are now on the floor.

The sun starts to set as we leave the ship to go to the neighborhood bar, as we turn a corner near the bar I catch a glimpse of h/l h/c hair. I peek around the corner, we just turned only to not find anything, I shrug and continue walking to the bar with everyone and when we arrive I pass out a bag of gold to each crew member. We walk through the door to the bar and everyone turns and looks at me and Moon, we ignore them and sit against the far wall at the bar to order drinks from the bartenders.

"I'll take a Lemon Drops for three rounds" I slide two gold coins to one of the bartenders, "Alrighty lemon drop one coming up!" He states grabbing the Vodka, syrup, sugar, and a lemon.

He slides the drink to me and starts talking Moon's order while I sip on it with the black straw he gave me, the bell on the door jingles and I ignore it but then I hear a few whistles and whispers so I look at the door to see the person from earlier with the h/l h/c hair and e/c eyes. They ignore the whistles and whispers and sit at the third stool at the bar because the first one is taken by a sleeping drunk guy, Moon gets his Blue diamond from the bartender and he hasn't looked at the person that walked in.

He turns to me after taking a sip of his drink through the straw and notices my gaze, "What ye lookin at?" He turns around but can't see their face because they're looking to the side while waiting for their drink but he can see their hair. He takes another sip of his drink and turns back to me, "That them, they have the same hair?" He asks, raising his artificial eyebrow. I nod and take a swig of my drink, "Ye sure, we have to look at their face?" Moon asks, "Yes, I saw their face when they walked in." I state casually and stand.

I walk over to them while getting a few stares and sit next to them with my drink in hand, "Hey little comet~" I say and take another sip, "Did ye find what yer was lookin for in the shops?"

The bartender passes them their f/a/d with a worried look and they take a drink then turns to me with a smile, "Yes I did, did you find what you were looking for?", "Ya, I found it before ye ran into me" I state with a smirk. "Ahh yes, I remember that." They say in a sweet tone, "That was right before you dragged me into an alley and slammed me into a wall and grabbed my throat." They spit with a smile that doesn't reach their eyes.

Instead their eyes reflect a strong warning that causes me to involuntarily raise my guard, my brother notices my behavior and walks over to me and taps my shoulder and I start to relax.

He then sits on the other side of the person on the stool with his drink, "Evening little star~" He takes a drink and looks them up and down as they finish the second half of their drink in one swig, "My brother has told me of ye little encounter." He states trying to get them to look at him.

They ignore him as they order another drink with a surprising amount of alcohol, the bartender gives them a questioning look then glances at me and Moon.

"Are you sure, you realize an Aunt Roberta is one hundred percent alcohol right?" He asks in an alarmed voice, "Yes, I drink it often." They state unfazed and the bartender hesitantly grabs the Brandy, Vodka, Absinthe, Gin and Blackberry Liqueur. They get their Aunt Roberta and take a drink then sets it back on the bar, "Always goes down smooth." They sigh and laugh at my, Moon's, and all the bartenders' wide eyes.

Moon leans over to smell the drink, "Damn, he would be dying just from a sip!" He laughs while gesturing to me then turns back and finishes off his drink. He puts it on the bar with a smirk, "I'll take what they're havin!" The bartender looks at him like he's crazy then proceeds to make his drink. He slides the drink to him and he picks it up then drinks half in one gulp, "Ye be right, that does go down smooth." He laughs and finishes his Aunt Roberta then orders another.

The bartenders whisper among each other as one makes the drink, "Me too, I just finished mine." They say and slide the empty glass to them.

"Ya sure ye can drink another, little comet~?" I ask with a smirk and get my second round of Lemon Drops, "yeah I normally have ta have three before I'm even buzzed." They reply and down their second one.

The bartender makes them another with the same expression as they've had when handed the glass, a different bartender gives me my drink as Moon finishes his second one.

"I haven't been able to drink like this in awhile, Sun's a light weight and I normally have ta drag him and the rest of the crew back to the ship, I also drive during the night shift when we get back so I only have one to two drinks, but we'r stayin the night docked here so I don't have to worry about driving." Moon chuckles and downs his third when the bartender hands it to him.

"Yeah I normally only drink at two places and only one of them have my very alcoholic drink, so when I go to the bar that doesn't have it I get like five Aunt Robertas to make up for it." They state and finish the second half of their third drink then order another.

"So ye still haven't told me yer name, little comet~" I say after getting my last Lemon Drop, "I thought you wouldn't want to know my name seeing that you both already made names for me." They return with an eye roll as they get their drink. "I wouldn't be asking if I didn't want to know" I retort and return the eye roll, "Never mind, if ye don't want to tell me all ye had ta do is say so." I look away and take a drink of my Lemon Drop.

"Y/n'' They say too quickly for me and Moon to catch, "Pardon?" I turn back to then with a quirked brow, "My name, it's Y/n." They say without looking up from their drink as they set it down. Me and Moon exchange glances as he shrugs and returns to his drinking as his fifth Aunt Roberta is slid to him, "Nice name, Y/n~, never heard that before." Moon says as he puts his drink down on the bar.

Y/n hums and gets their fifth Aunt Roberta and immediately downs it then puts the glass on the bar, "My bitch of a mom named me." They slide the glass to the bartender and reorders the f/a/d, "I should slow down a bit, I got all night ta drink and enough money to do so." They take a drink of their f/a/c.

Some random group guys stand up from a table and walk up behind Y/n then one of them puts a hand on Y/n's shoulder, "Oh why slow down now, the party's just starting~." He says while leaning towards their ear, "we want a turn to drink with you too, or are you too drunk~? He says right in their ear.

Right as me and Moon start to stand Y/n turns around on the spinning bar stool where we can't see their face but the group can, he looks mortified and starts to back up slowly.

"H-Hey, I was just kidding, w-we can leave." Then they scurrie out the door with their tails tucked between their legs, Y/n turns back around with the same expression they had before they turned to the group and started sipping their drink like nothing happened.

Me and Moon exchange glances once more with a confused expression, "What was that about Y/n, they just left easy as that, how?" Moon asks perplexed, "Secret!" They turn to Moon with a smile and Moon's eyes widen as this is the first time he's seen their face and it clicks.

He snickers and takes a drink then turns to me and points at o/p on himself, I quirk my eyebrow then point at o/p on me, he shakes his head and points at Y/n, then I point at them right as they turn to look at me. I quickly act casual and take a swig of my drink without looking at them, I take a peek at them as they turn to Moon and he's already sipping his drink through the straw. They go back to drinking their f/a/d and I look at their o/p, their f/o glimmer in the light of the bar and the realization hits me like a tidal wave. It's that creature from the water but how does it have legs and it speaks human words, 'what kind of creature is this?!' I think as they finish their drink, they look at me and find me looking at them so they smile then turn back to order another glass of f/a/d.

Almost everyone who was here when we got here has either left a while ago or is in a drunken sleep on the table, aside from the guy sitting next to Moon who woke up about an hour ago and started drinking again.

"Man this place cleared out, I figured it was only gonna get more busy." I state when I look around, Y/n shrugs then gulp their drink down until it is empty, "Alrighty, that's the last one for me." They announce as they set the empty glass on the bar and slide it to the new bartender because the others left half an hour ago at the end of their shifts.

"Though I could use something to eat~" Y/n states darkly, me and Moon gulp and look at each other. "What's wrong~?" They turn to me and smile wickedly, "You both look scared~" They say as they turn to Moon.

They turn back to the bartender, "Do you sell food here?" They ask casually like they didn't just scare the shit out of me and Moon, "O-Oh yes, b-but it's all seafood." The bartender shakily answers, sensing the dangerous atmosphere. "Seafood?" Y/n tilts their head, "is it cooked?" They finish and the bartender looks at them with a dumbfounded expression, "Yes?" He quirks a brow with wide eyes. "Oooo, do you have crab!?" They excitedly ask and lean forward towards the bartender, he takes a step back and answers "Y-yes, we have seven different types that are caught fresh from our ocean."

"Wow I didn't know there were so many different types of crabs, normally I just find consortium and eat them all!" They say with a finger on their chin, the bartender clears his throat "Yes there are a lot, over seven and a half thousand different types across the world, including freshwater and the three hundred different ones from the Enchanted Forest." He says very interested in the topic. "I haven't been to the Enchanted Forest in awhile, but I've eaten a few of the smaller ones like the Twilight Cave Crab." Y/n says, "T-Twilight Cave Crab, but those are at least three times your size, did you get it from some new special shop?!" He asks loudly with wide eyes. "No, I don't think they are sold at shops, I had to catch mine and it was delicious." They state unfazed.

"Speaking of types of crabs, are ye gonna tell Y/n what types ye sell here?" Moon sighs with a grumbling attitude, "O-Oh yes, right, um." The bartender says as gets nervous again."Well out with it!" He growls growing more angry by the second, "We have Rock Crab, Striped Shore Crab, Red Rock Crab, Green Crab, Shield Back Kelp Crab, Fiddler Crab, and Purple Shore Crab." He squeaks out as fast as he can.

"Oooo, I'll try the Shield Back Kelp Crab!" Y/n says breaking the bad atmosphere, "Heh heh, 'kay coming right up sweet thing~." The bartender says with a smirk then heads to the kitchen in the back of the bar.

"Yeah, never mind not drinking anymore, I got foods." Y/n says then orders a classic daiquiri, the girl bartender hands Y/n their drink right as the other bartender returns with the boiled Shield Back Kelp Crab and he sets the dish in front of them.

"I see you have another drink, what happened to the other one being your last?" He asks as he leans on the bar, "Well, Daiquiris go well with seafood, so why not." They shrug and dig into their food.

"Oh my sea stars, this is fantastic!" They say with stars in their eyes, "Glad you like it, sweet thing~." He says with a smirk.

"Can I try some?" I ask and earn a glare from the bartender, "Sure!" Y/n answers then cracks one of the crab's legs off, they then break that leg in half so the meat is sticking out of one end.

"Here, say ahh!" They say while raising the leg and looking up at me expectantly, I blush then lean forward and take a bite that takes a quarter of the meat, "Hm, that is really good!" I say and give Y/n a smile.

"Really?" Moon asks, then leans over Y/n's shoulder and steals a bite, "You could've just asked for a bite." They laugh and take a bite of the half eaten leg.

"I've had better." Moon states and takes a drink of his Aunt Roberta, "I'll leave you to your food, ask for Travis if you need anything, sweet thing~." He says as he rises from the bar while trying to mask his annoyance.

Y/n picks up and takes a drink of their Daiquiri after he's out of sight, "Yup, the perfect drink." They state and finish it off then order another.

"Man, ye been drinking for three hours and now ye eating, where does it all go?!" Moon asks as they get their drink, they shrug their shoulders and rip off their last crab leg.

They break it in half and bite into it then swallow, "I have no idea." They state before they grab one of the leg tips and flips over the crab body then cuts it down the middle with the leg piece.

Moon looks at the knife sitting next to the plate, "That's what this is for, little star~." He says as he picks it up and plays with it, "No, those are for murder." They state casually like it was normal.

"Well they can be but this one is for food." He states as he puts it back next to the plate, "I consider it offensive, you would too if you had lived my life." They say and take a swig of their drink, "So…" I start and take the last sip of my last Lemon Drop, "Where ye from, if ye don't mind me askin little comet~?" I finish as I give my empty glass to the bartender and order a shot of bourbon whiskey.

Y/n cringes at the question and drinks half of their drink, "It's not a good story, I'd rather not talk about it in a bar and with people I barely know." They state and finish off their drink again.

They order another drink and eat the rest of their crab, the bartender places the Daiquiri next to the plate then takes the plate full of crab shells, "Oh, thank you!" Y/n says in a surprised voice. Sun grabs his shot glass and downs it then slams it down onto the bar, "I think I'm gonna call it a night and take the crew that's either too drunk to stand or fell asleep, have a good night, Y/n~." He stands up from the stool then starts to head for the tables.

"H-Hey wait." Y/n grabs his sleeve to stop him and he pauses and looks at them, "Yes~?" He says sweetly.

"I told you my name but you never told me yours." They say with a sweet smile and release his sleeve, "Captain Sun of the Galaxy Ship~" I tip my hat then gather the crew then toss a bag of gold coins on the bar.

I walk out the door with the crew members I gathered and take them back to the ship, when I reach the stairs to the storage room I carry everyone downstairs and maneuver them through the items in the room. I bring them through the door on the other side of the door and put each one in their bed, I then leave the door open and walk back to the stairs to leave and go upstairs, I go to my room then sit on my chair and slowly doze off.

🌙~Pov change~🌙

Sun leaves the bar after paying for his drinks with his bag of gold leaving me and Y/n to finish drinking, "He only left early because he knows if he did he would fall asleep." I state and laugh.

"I bet as soon as he can, he'll be asleep." I say then drink half of my Aunt Roberta, I set it back on the bar and look at Y/n.

Y/n picks up their Daiquiri and takes a sip then places it back on the bar, I look around to make sure no one is close enough to listen in on our conversation.

"We've seen ye before, ye know what I'm talking about." I state bluntly then they snicker and respond, "Yes I know, I figured you would be the one to notice exactly who I am, Sun on the other hand, I knew he wouldn't know without guidance."

I smirk, "Smart little star~" I rasp while tapping the side of my faceplate with my index finger, "Figured out very quickly even before they knew our names, must have had practice, yesss?" I question more to myself.

"Sorta." They state with a grim expression, I raise one of my artificial eyebrows and wait for an elaboration that never comes.

"Ye got a place ta crash or do ya just sleep in the water?" I ask and take a sip of my drink, "I haven't slept out of the water since I was 5." They respond as they bring their Daiquiri to their mouth.

"How old ar' ye?" I question, "You should've never asked that." They state as they put their drink down.

"Oh? And why's that?" They turn to look at me and smile wickedly but, unlike the sweet smile from earlier it has sharp teeth and one of their eyes is different, it's pupil is a slit and the color has changed, "Interesting~." I state as I reach a hand out and put it on their cheek and rub my thumb under their changed eye.

They instinctively back up so quickly I barely touch them before they're off the stool, their arm is tense so I look at their hand and those same claws from the other day are back, I retract my hand and grab my drink with a snicker.

"Jumpy one aren't ya, little star~? Even with all that alcohol in yer system." I say then drink the last half of my Aunt Roberta, I stand up and place a bag of gold coins on the bar then head for the door but stop before I reach it, "Ye comin' or not?".

They huff and grab their Daiquiri and down it then pays, and out the corner of my eye I see the male bartender from earlier glaring daggers at me as Y/n walks past me and through the door. I smirk and exit too but not before I see him fuming, and I chuckle to myself as the door closes.

"What's so funny?" Y/n questions me with a raised brow, "Ohh nothing, just a mad crab boy, not something ya need ta worry about little star~.

This is a reader-insert type story, so I will write the reader-insert parts like so:

Yes, I know it's a long list. But, I wanted to give as much freedom to the reader as possible, and I know this isn't how sirens are, but this is my version of them.

Chapter 2: Sneaking Suspicions

I started to come down from my frenzy surrounded by foggy blood-stained water, the smell of so much blood in one place burns my nostrils. As I swim up towards the surface to get fresh air I see something on the ship near the rail blocking the sunlight, it's hard to tell whether it's human or not as the water is blurry because of the blood. As I swim closer to the top as the thing or rather things move a step back, I notice the shape of a sword in each of their hands and cautiously start to emerge from the water still in my full siren form. My eyes drain of water as my head pokes halfway out of the water and I make full eye contact with the twin captains, I rise out of the water while keeping eye contact and my ear fins drip water as my shoulders peek out of the water. We stare at each other waiting to see who moves first, I retract my siren scales and return to my normal form as their optics widen. They continue to stare at me unmoving with their swords ready waiting for me to attack them, I tilt my head at them causing them to flinch and raise their swords more. Two humans that the blue captain called Dave and Ron run across the plank onto the ship causing the captains to look at them and I slip away to hide behind their ship, they run up to the captains telling them that the ship is ready to be untethered and depart. Both captains look over their shoulders towards where I was only to find that I was gone, the yellow one looks at the two crew members and tells them to grab the chair in the captain's quarters and put it in his quarters to which they salute and run to get it.

The yellow captain turned to his brother and said something to him, then proceeded to strut across the deck and over the plank onto his ship disappearing into the captain's quarters and the doors slamming shut. The blue captain looks back at the spot stained in red once more looking lost in thought before turning to the plank and crossing it and going to a crew member, telling them something that had them salute and run across the plank to the stairs leading to the storage room. Dave and Ron emerge from the empty captain's quarters with the chair carefully crossing the plank and taking it to their captain's quarters, the grapples get pulled into the ship and released causing them to rip out of the ship and coil back up into the launcher. The crew member comes upstairs and runs across the deck and plank landing on the deck then turning around and grabbing it, he stumbles with it leaning against the wall of the ship. Turning back to the captain to salute and go back to what he was doing, Ron and Dave leave the captain's quarters to do work on the ship as the blue captain says the signal to fire the cannon, and the cannon is fired causing a big hole in the ship. He watches the ship sink slowly into the water while looking for me, after the ship is sunk and he's sure I'm not hiding in the water then he turns to the crew and yells a command, and walks upstairs to the steering deck. I swim into the sunken ship at the last second and eat the corpse, not wanting to waste perfectly good food and when done I leave and catch up with the departed ship.

🔆~Pov change~🔆

I stare curiously at the creature and it makes eye contact as it rises in the water only stopping when its shoulders reach the surface, it sits there and doesn't move for a while just staring at us like it was waiting for something. It finally moves a little and as it shudders its scales disappear replacing it with s/c skin and its fins on the side of its head shrink into elf like pointed ears matching its skin, its h/l h/c hair stayed the same so did its shirt and it looked almost human except its claws, finger webbing, its ears, and obvious s/f/c tail submerged in the water. We continue our staring contest unmoving but ready, but apparently not ready for the right thing as it tilts its head catching me by surprise and I raise my sword a little. Yelling and running breaks our concentration, I look in the direction of the sound.

Ron and Dave run up to me, "Captain the cargo is secure and the ship is ready to reset its grapples and depart!" Dave said, saluting.

Me and Moon look behind us and see the siren gone so I turn back to Dave and Ron, "Ye grab the departed captain's chair out of his chambers and take to our quarters" I command then shoo them off.

"Aye aye captain!" They run to the captain's quarters to retrieve the chair and I turn to Moon, "I found a weird map in the captain's quarters, so I'm gonna go to our quarters and try to figure it out" I said then walked to the room while trying not to show my annoyance but failing as I slam the doors. I head over to the table and reach into my coat to grab the rolled up pieces of paper and slam it down on the table, I quickly unroll it to smooth it out on the table looking intensely at the red circle like it would poof the answer into existence. My one sided staring match gets cut short as Dave and Ron bring in the chair, I move from my spot to let them place it there and once done the two salute and leave the captain's quarters. I walk back to my spot in front of the table to sit in the chair, I feel the ship moving knowing that we're back on course to Duran.

🌙~Pov change~🌙

I've never seen a creature like this and I always thought they were made up by humans. I've only heard stories of all types of human-like creatures that hide in the blue snatching children from beaches, using razor sharp teeth to eat anyone unlucky enough to get too close, and bringing ships to their graves among the waves. I instinctively grab my sword from its holster and stare at the creature waiting to see what it was going to do, it rises from the water f/o glittering in the sunlight. Its scales flip and fade into human skin as its ears shrink and change and its face morphs into a human appearance, I stare in an amazed daze running through the possibilities of what it could be in my head and it tilts its head making me raise my sword out of instinct. The vibrations of running on the plank catch my attention as Dave and Ron run across and I reluctantly snap my head to look in their direction as they approach Sun, and I don’t pay attention to them as they talk and salute instead listening to the water behind us shift and splash. I look behind us to confirm that obviously the creature has retreated to somewhere, cursing under my breath I turn to Sun right as Dave and Ron run to the deceased captain's quarters.

Sun turns to me, "I found a weird map in the captain's quarters, so I'm gonna go to our quarters and try to figure it out" he states in a voice laced with annoyance he is clearly trying to hide. His body fails to hide it as he struts to our quarters and accidentally slams the doors closed,'he always struts unconsciously when he's mad', I think while walking to the plank.

I turn back to the water to look at the spot where the creature was wondering what it was, realizing that I was in my thoughts again.

I turn back to cross the plank to walk over to Kyle, "Go retrieve the grapples from under ther' ship", I snap slightly annoyed that the creature was gone. He salutes with a trying hard not to show he was scared, "Scrawny scaredy cat" I grumble walking to the grapple stations. Dave and Ron return from the captain's quarters with the chair and cautiously cross the plank trying not to drop the chair in the water, they shuffle through the double doors of the our quarters with Ron closing the doors with his heel. The grapples pull into the side of the ship more than snap back causing them to coil up, I double check that they reset correctly when Kyle scurries across the plank and turns to grab it. Almost falling forward with it he leans it against the ship wall and turns around so fast I thought he was going to get whiplash, he salutes and hurries away thinking that I didn't see his scared expression when he turned.

I huff and turn to Lillian who has been standing by the loaded cannon the whole time, "Fire!" I yell the signal startling her.

She shoots the bottom of the empty ship causing water to start to flood in slowly, I watch it sink just to be sure that the unknown creature is not hiding around the ship.

"Raise the sails!" I command when it finishes sinking, I walk up to the steering deck and grab the wheel to return on course.

⭐~Pov change~⭐

The sun starts to set as night makes way and normally I would still be up at this time but I greedily ate five adult humans in a matter of ten minutes and the food coma was biting me in the ass, I made the skin on my hands change to scales and licked my hands because siren saliva on the owner's scales causes an adhesive effect that sticks to most things. I smack my hands against the bottom of the wooden ship to sleep without losing the ship, I hear movement above me in the ship causing me to wonder if someone heard me hit the ship and make a mental note to not hit the ship as hard next time. I slowly drift to sleep as a group of cleaner fish swarm me, the familiar feeling of them nipping the food partials leftover from earlier and my dead skin cells relaxes me further as I fade into unconsciousness.

🔆~Pov change~🔆

I spent hours trying to figure out the map, unable to find an answer. Moon looks at it for five seconds and he figures it out, like how in the world?! He doesn't even tell what it means! All he does is snicker at me and walk out of our room, after that I just roll up the map and chuck it across the room into an empty barrel out of frustration.

'I need some rum', I think while standing up from my new chair with an artificial huff. I trudge through the wooden doors to our room and turn the corner to the left to open the door to the storage room, the stairs creak underneath me as I step down them slowly so as to not wake the that's in the next room on the front side of the ship through the door on the other side of the room. When I step off the stairs onto the floor I walk to the center of the room and scan everything quickly locating the crates of rum, I walk over and start rummaging through the crates and I grab one and scan it to see its quality. A loud thump echoes through the room from underneath me causing me to drop the bottle, I stumble to catch it and accidentally knock over a few planks used for patches.

I pick them up making sure to put my bottle in a secure place first, "What in tha seven seas was that?" I mumble leaning them back against the wall behind me.

I look towards the stairs as I hear someone running down, Moon whips around the corner scanning the room and as he sees me he relaxes then proceeds to yell at me for making so much noise.

"Sorry Moon I heard a loud noise and it scared me" I say walking over to him with the bottle of rum in my hands.

We walk back up the stairs with me explaining what happened earning incredulous looks and remarks from Moon, "Moon I know what I heard, why don't you believe me!?".

We get to the top of the stairs and Moon walks to the table that everyone is playing cards on, I sigh in defeat and go back to our room after taking a quick swig of the rum. I flop in my chair and take a drink off the bottle then set it on the table in front of me, I sigh and grab for another drink and end up drinking half the bottle and setting it back down.

I groan and run my hands down my face, "Maybe Moon's right, maybe I ar' going sea crazy" I mumble thinking about the noise earlier. I stand up and walk behind my chair to go to the window, "Maybe it was a sea animal, no, with how loud it was the ship would have rocked on impact" I talk to myself as I lean forward against the window ledge.

A gust of the fresh sea air whips past me with a salty taste, I pull myself up and away from the window to walk to the barrels in the corner of the room, I reach in the one I threw the map in to retrieve it. I turn around and go back to the table, I roll out the map and opting to go to the side and lean my elbows on the table instead of sitting.

From the new angle I recognize the coast on the top left causing me to realize that I was looking at it wrong the whole time, "Right off the coast of Celestial City, great that place" I grumble and grab the bottle, drinking the rest of rum.

🌙~Pov change~🌙

Steering for hours on end has its tolls even as a highly advanced animatronic, the sun starts to set behind me alerting me to switch.

"Oi Colin, t's time for ye to steer!" I shout over the wheel, "Aye aye captain!" He shouts back as he rises from the table that everyone is playing cards on and dropping his hand of cards into the discard pile. He walked up the stairs to the steering deck and takes over the wheel freeing me to do as I please, "Can ye go back on normal schedule tomorrow captain?" Colin asked as I was about to walk down the stairs. "Aye, sorry about the inconvenience, I'll switch back ta the night shift tomorrow" I affirm, "When the sun starts to rise tell Kevin to ta take the wheel" I tell him then walk down the stairs and walk into my room.

I see Sun deep in thought and stareing at a map and I walk over to the side of the table, I look down at the map and eminently recognize exactly what coast that is.

'Fuck t's that place, Sun's not gonna like this' I think in a somber tone "Figured it out", "WHAT, WHERE IS IT?!" Sun panics.

I laugh my signature laugh while I walk out of our room, I walk over to the starboard side and lean on the railing to watch the waves. I watch the fish swimming along with the ship like they normally do and a swarm of little fish come from the side, but instead of joining the rest of the fish to clean them they go under the ship. 'Strange what could be down there that's worth more than seven schools, maybe a whale or a pod of dolphins' a loud crash from under the ship breaks me out of my thoughts. I look over to the door to the storage room to find it open, I walk quickly to it and go down the stairs as fast as I can.

I scan the room for stowaways and see Sun as he picks up the rum bottle next to him on a crate, "Do ye know what time t's, the sun is already starting to set!" I reprimand him.

"Sorry Moon I heard a loud noise and it scared me" he says while making his way through the barrels and crates to get to me.

We start walking up the stairs and Sun tells me what happened, "-and then a thump echoed in the wood under me feet and I almost dropped the bottle, I caught it at the last minute and accidentally knocked over the repair wood".

I look at him not believing that a thump that loud couldn't be heard from the main deck especially since the door was open, "Yeah ok, if ye say so" I say sarcastically.

"Moon I know what I heard, why don't you believe me?!" He shouts as we reach the door to the main deck.

We walk through the door and I immediately walk over to play poker, I hear Sun sigh behind me and one of the doors to our room close. I sit in the set that was emptied by Colin to wait for the next round to be dealt, "What was all the commotion captain, if ye don't mind me asking." Chris asks while laying out everyone's cards.

"Just Sun being clumsy again, knocked over the repair planks in the storage room." I state when he finishes dealing the cards around to everyone.

⭐~Pov change~⭐

I wake up to water pitch black as far as I can see and no sound from the ship other than the person steering it meaning that it's late into the night, I climb up the outer right wall of the ship to see everyone is sleeping except one but I presume he just is there to steer until morning because he has a bored and tired look in his eyes as he stifles his yawn. I drop back into the water and swim under towards the back to climb up to the captains' window and look in, the blue captain picks up the rum bottle out of the yellow captain's hand and takes it over to a crate full of empty bottles in the corner. He walks back over to the face planted yellow captain and hoists him over his shoulder while grumbling something too low for me to hear, he then takes him over to the left bed to drop him on it and sits on the right bed. I drop back in the water so as to not be seen because of the window being in between the two beds, I duck under the water as he sticks his head out and looks around because of the sound of the splash I made. I quickly go under the ship and I think he saw me because I hear panicked shuffling and creaks as he rushes to the main deck, he looks over the rail into the water trying to catch another glimpse of me and the person steering asks him what he's looking for to which he brushes his question off to return to his room.

This is a reader-insert type story, so I will write the reader-insert parts like so:

Yes, I know it's a long list. But, I wanted to give as much freedom to the reader as possible, and I know this isn't how sirens are, but this is my version of them.

Chapter 1: The Red Feather

After 3 years of freedom, something caught your eye a docked ship a red feather is all that's seen from the tall captain. Curiosity got the better of y/n and they swim closer when under the ship y/n hears a command from two voices one loud and bold the other low and gravely. Overhead the shadow moves and sunlight seeps through the water, you realize that was your cover and quickly swam back under the ship as it departed.

🔆 ~Pov change~ 🔆

"Depart!" I command.

My brother Moon commands the crew to drop the sails and he steers the ship.

I look off to the town as we leave. In the corner of my eye, I think I see something, but when I look there’s nothing there.

"What's ye lookin' at?" Moon notices my stare.

"t's nothing just a fish" I walk towards him.

"Ye get distracted too easily" he replies still controlling the ship.

"Alright, we'r headed to Duran town!" I shout to the crew, "Make due southeast!".

"Aye aye captain!" They return.

🌙~Pov change~🌙

Headed southeast I spot a ship in the distance, a cargo ship half the size of our ship.

"Ship ahead!" I shout alerting Sun and the crew.

Sun runs up the stairs to the steering deck where I am "Aye cargo, Load the cannons!".

"Aye aye!" The crew scurries around loading them as fast as possible.

Sun runs back down to the front of the ship and resets the grapples, when everything is ready and we're close enough he fires the grapples at the ship.

"Hit!" I shout at Sun.

"Aim the first cannon and wait for Moon's signal!" Sun yelled as he punched a button on the grapples.

The grapples started pulling the ship towards us, "take everything!" Sun yelled as he pushed a plank over both ships' rails and boarded the ship.

I hop over the rail onto the main deck, run across it to the tethered ship, and board it.

🔆~Pov change~🔆

Me and Moon board the ship, and the captain unsheathes his sword "Pirates, Stay back!".

"Or you could surrender" I retorted and unsheath my sword, "Never!" The captain yells.

"Moon you and half the crew fight, and the other half take the loot!" I command, "Aye aye Sun!" Moon responds and directs the crew around.

I charged toward the captain as he tries to slash me, and I jump up to dodge his blade to kick him in the nose. He stumbles backward into the captain's quarters and trips backward sitting in his chair, I followed him there as he brought two fingers to his nose then back to look at them.

"Ye broke me nose ye damn robot!" He shouted as he lunges at me with his sword.

I raised my sword to quickly slash vertically and slit his throat, he dropped to his knees blood spilling onto his chest and hands.

"Such foul language, a pity if you only just surrendered" I told him as he slumped over and face-planted lifelessly.

🌙~Pov change~🌙

"Aye aye Sun!" I affirm to Sun, "Sam, Dave, Chris, and Ron you come with me!" I say pointing at them then grab the anchor on the ship and throw it in the water.

Everyone split different ways, I went up to the steering deck where I kicked the driver on the back of his knee, cut his wrists off, and throw him in the water. I peeled one hand off then throw it in the water too and went to get the other hand. When I got it off I noticed that he had a gold ring.

"Ye won't be needing this" I take the ring and throw the hand behind me into the water, "Now that the ships aren't moving this is gonna be ten times easier!".

I go running down the stairs but in my way are three members of the enemy crew running up the stairs. I jump over them, slashing the one at the bottom of the steps across his back then push him overboard. Out of the corner of my eye, I see something f/c slip back into the water, I into the water only to look back forward as both humans charge me, I move to the side causing them to fumble. They stop as one grabs a gun from his belt and tries to shoot me, I duck and barely dodge the bullet as it flies over me and almost hits my hat.

I somersault towards them causing them to trip and fall backward over the rail into the water. I get up and look at them as one gets grabbed by the shoulders and dragged under the ship by human-like hands with s/f/c webbing in between the fingers, the other human watches in horror as it happens. We sit in silence for a moment as we process, the shock wears off and he tries to swim away right as blood floats to the top of the water the same hand grabs his ankle and drags him under, the water turning redder by the second.

⭐~Pov change~⭐

I was going southeast under the ship when the water started getting choppy, then I heard a commotion up on the ship. People were running around like mice and the captain was shouting so I came up on the side of the ship as a grapple propelled through the air over me, the grapples broke through the wall on the front of the other ship. A plank is placed right above me casting a shadow, someone walks across the plank onto the captured ship. A loud thump and running are heard as another person runs across the plank to the small ship, the captain of the captured ship yells at the pirates and the sound of a sword being grabbed from a belt is heard. The pirates ask him to surrender, "Never!" He shouts as one of the pirate captains draws his sword. The other captain is told to make teams to fight and take the loot, he does as he's told and calls the crew over. The crew runs up the ship and over the plank onto the ship with the captains, the captain with the blue feather calls a few names then they split up.

I hear a group run downstairs into the storage room, then a tiny group branches away from the rest, they run into the crew's quarters and there are a bunch of people moving around, then silence nothing moving in the underdeck. A little bit of shuffling creaks through the wood as the group leaves back into the storage room, a sickening thump echoes through the wood, and a scream of pain rips through the air. The water ripples as the person submerges, blood from his wrists seeps into the water catching my nose and reminding me how hungry I am. My instincts to feed hit me like a hammer driving me crazy, my features shift into my (f/c) scales and rise to the surface of my skin. My teeth sharpen then my pupils close into a slit like a snake and one of my (e/c) eyes changes to a (e/p/c), my nose smooths over and only the two nostril holes are left on the middle of my scaly face. I swim under the ship and toward the back where the person with no hands is and a hand hits the water right as I get there, I grab it and start ripping the flesh off of the bone with my teeth as the owner watches me savagely eat his hand. Another hits me in the back of the head right as I finish eating the first one, I toss the bones into the water and grab the floating hand that hit me, and start ripping it apart.

I dispose of the rest of the bones behind me and make eye contact with the man in the water as he panics and gets saltwater in his wrists causing him to wince in pain, I swim closer to him and he tries to swim away, he gets a few feet from the ship when I catch up with him then bite his arm and he yells as I pull him under the water as he gurgled and sucked in water with his last breath. Unable to do anything other than kick and squirm, I get tired of his panic attack so I bite his neck and rip out his throat causing the water to go red. I let his meatless bones sink into the depths of the water because I smell more blood as one of the captains slashes an enemy crew member's back, the smell of blood wafts through the air as I break the surface of the water. I swim forwards and look over the side of the ship right as someone is thrown over the rail of the ship and into the water, I dive under the water and swim over to him and before he can scream I sink my s/f/c claws into his throat to yank out his voice box and toss it in my large mouth to dispose of it and drag his dying body in the water under the ship to eat him. Another meatless skeleton sinks to the bottom of the ocean as I hear a gunshot and go swimming out from under the ship, two bodies hit the water overhead before I can get from under the ship and I swim up to one then grab his shoulder and drag him back under the ship and tear him apart. I go back for the other one as the bones drift down into the darkness of the deep, not wanting to waste time I grab his ankle to bring him down to me and eat him right there unknowing of the scarlet eyes watching me.

After finishing off the captain I raid his quarters taking gold and other valuables, I stumble upon a key and look for info about it on the internet built in my head only to come up empty which is a first. Stumped and looking for answers I kick the corpse of the captain out of the way and sit in the chair, I lay my head back thinking, and while thinking I put my arms on the armrests.

"Tis a beaut', I'm finna keep it" I say while my hands feel the gold designs, I stand up and wander to the table seeing a red circle on a map circling a random place in the middle of the ocean. My brain overworking and hard staring at the map trying to figure out why it was circled there wasn't helping. A loud thump snaps me to reality as I go to the door and peek out to see what's going on as a bullet hits the side of the door frame almost hitting my sun ray, I lean forward to look at the bullet hole then look forwards at Moon rolling into two people like it was Bonnie Bowl™. Moon stood up and looked over the rail at the water and just stood there silent for a while so I walked out into the open to walk over to him, I look over his shoulder trying to see what he was looking at. I see blood in the water, nothing too strange but the strange thing is it's just blood. No bodies live or dead, just red blood-stained water or so I thought. Below the water I see something swimming around and eating something, assuming that it is a shark I look to the left at my brother Moon.

"Why ye staring at a shark, we've already got the loot, let's go" I put my hand on his shoulder, and he looked up with a look I've never seen before in the 13 years that we've been… conscious.

"That were no shark brother, I've never seen that creature before" He said with mischief in his voice.

"Now that look I've seen before, ye gonna catch it aren't ya" I asked with an amused smile, "It has f/c scaly skin that covered t's human-shaped hands and s/f/c webbing in-between the fingers matching s/f/c claws, that's all I know so yeah I'm gonna catch it and study it! Moon spoke enthusiastically.

He went to jump the rail but I grabbed his shoulder and dragged him back onto the main deck, "What are yer doing?" That's all I could say before it started swimming to the surface to emerge from the water. Me and Moon took a step back as it got closer to the top of the water, we braced ourselves and unsheeted our swords once more standing our ground as it slowly started to peek its head from under the water.
