If I have a pet dog, I'd name her destiny and train her to to run to the nearest person and sit on their chests when I say "Destiny Wait!" and if I see a cute boy/girl I say the line and my dog runs up and tackles them to the ground and I jogged over, out of breathe, hands on my knees as I let out huffs in between, nervously snatch my dog off of them frantically saying. "I'm so sorry, we're not supposed to be here, Destiny made me chase after them and bump into you."

Imagine if a depressed trans human who didn't realize were trans (that just felt like they were in the wrong body and have the wrong name and just think that's just their depression talking), met a charming Fae in the woods, Ofc human is oblivious to this fact and thought they were just some friendly stranger, the Fae asked for their name and when they told the fae it just??? Doesn't???? Work???

Like fae was all like "Haha very funny but srsly what's your real name?"

And character would be confused because that is their name (even if it felt wrong.)

And Fae is just equally confused because the human didn't seem like they were lying so they would have this whole adventure into figuring out that human was trans.
