I find it funny in some fics when the writers say things like: "sorry I was late I had a mental episode" or "Sorry for the late update I was in the hospital" or "Sorry for being late blah blah/ traumatic event" and everyone comments on the fic alone, like: no biggie, not saying anything about what the PeRsOn shared. Just consuming.
It's actually funny in its tragicness...
I cannot possibly sit and explain all the good reasons why it's good for people to be a little MORE kind, compassionate and empathetic.
It's kindergarten's syllabus and I'm fed up with that and everything similar 🙃
Just open a freaking Google link on how to be polite.

Ao3 or Wattpad???
For me, it was a one way road with ao3. When I entered my Fandom (or consumed by it-to be exact 😝), the first fics I've read were in ao3! So I got into the ao3 philosophy, etiquette and requirements!
I don't have much experience with wattpad, except that only one fic I've read there, and it was a little less like literature, a little more as if the author just wanted to let out a story that came on their mind! Like a journal! Not that it wasn't good, just different from my bread and butter!
I'm currently reading two novel translation in wattpad tho and it's very convenient and cool!
Is there a debate between ao3 and wattpad?
Ps. I was also thinking about putting my fics in wattpad at some point!
I mean why the f*ck not?

Sharing this was really precious 💐
From someone who also writes/has ptsd nightmares.
Little tips to write PTSD nightmares from someone with PTSD
You don’t dream about what happened specifically, you dream about the person.
You can also dream about someone else doing what this person did to you.
You dream about being followed by that person everywhere you go.
You dream about what that person did to you happening to your loved ones.
You dream about what that person did to you, but in completely different circumstance.
During the dream, it’s often dark or badly lit.
Other fears might happen during a nightmare.
You have constant nightmares after, even if it has nothing to do with what happened.
A night without a nightmare is a rare occasion, even years after.
You don’t feel rested at all when you wake up.
You may wake yourself up screaming.
You move a lot during nightmares.
You will become insomniac.
The dreams can be very traumatic.
(This is based on my personal experience, if you have anything to add don’t be shy!)

What will do when you'll run out of giffs for your replies? (anon who asked about the man in your giffs)
As my ethics command me to:
REUSE, REPURPOSE, RECYCLE ♻️ 🤣💕
(Hello kexing-giff anon! Dunno in which Fandoms you're into, but I bet, in the end you'll be convinced to watch Word of Honor 🤣)

Tips for Writing a Difficult Scene
Every writer inevitably gets to that scene that just doesn't want to work. It doesn't flow, no matter how hard you try. Well, here are some things to try to get out of that rut:
1. Change the weather
I know this doesn't sound like it'll make much of a difference, but trust me when I say it does.
Every single time I've tried this, it worked and the scene flowed magically.
2. Change the POV
If your book has multiple POV characters, it might be a good idea to switch the scene to another character's perspective.
9/10 times, this will make the scene flow better.
3. Start the scene earlier/later
Oftentimes, a scene just doesn't work because you're not starting in the right place.
Perhaps you're starting too late and giving too little context. Perhaps some description or character introspection is needed before you dive in.
Alternatively, you may be taking too long to get to the actual point of the scene. Would it help to dive straight into the action without much ado?
4. Write only the dialogue
If your scene involves dialogue, it can help immensely to write only the spoken words the first time round.
It's even better if you highlight different characters' speech in different colors.
Then, later on, you can go back and fill in the dialogue tags, description etc.
5. Fuck it and use a placeholder
If nothing works, it's time to move on.
Rather than perpetually getting stuck on that one scene, use a placeholder. Something like: [they escape somehow] or [big emotional talk].
And then continue with the draft.
This'll help you keep momentum and, maybe, make the scene easier to write later on once you have a better grasp on the plot and characters.
Trust me, I do this all the time.
It can take some practice to get past your Type A brain screaming at you, but it's worth it.
So, those are some things to try when a scene is being difficult. I hope that these tips help :)

Who is this man (?) you're always giffing?
My brightest strength, my deepest sympathy, my red eyeliner sister from another mister,
MY ULTIMATE BIAS!
Lao Wen or...
WEN KEXING bishes 🥲🤧🖤
He belongs to Faraway Wanderers and Word of Honor -Danmei- Fandom!
He is a romantic poet yet crazy ass killer when he hasta.
People call him "philanthropist wen" and he says that he won't stop till he eradicates evil, yet he is the master of the Ghost Valley ( a gang of villains/who imo are soft as cotton).
Eventhough he is a flirt pro he needs encouragement and a lot of affection and hugs from his better half.
He is elegant and well mannered but would destroy anyone who'd hurt the people he loves.
He enjoys the little things in life (eating, drinking, dressing up) but would sacrifice his own life to save the one he loves without a second guess.
Need I say more? 🥲

Wish someone would cheer me as i cheer others in their fics
Yeah. This one broke my freaking heart 🙃
So *huggles* first.
Amost Every fic,in my book, has something beautiful, unique and worthy to be praised and cheered for! It could only be one sentence, one joke, one metaphor, one image...but it's there.
I, my self I'm very generous with cmts, praise and love, in my Fandom, even If I don't get the same amount of them back and (not that I'm the godess of goodness) but I wish more people left encouraging comments
and especially
to debutant or small authors...bc they definitely need it more to keep them going 🤍
Imma also point to the author-community on that.
I know reading others fics and writing your own at the same time can be a pain in the ass...But since we know the importance of a pat on the back and the incredible joy of cmts...AUTHORS SHOULD BE THE FIRST TO SUPPORT OTHER AUTHORS! 🙃
As for you, sweet anon, make your work accessible via other social media (not only the site you're writing) and keep on supporting the authors you love!
Also dm me your fics if you want, bc I'm interested!

Character Building Questions
I’ve noticed there aren’t a lot of questions geared towards the adult fiction crowd, so even if these can overlap for other genres and demographics I wanted to change that.
What is his/her profession? Was that role part of your character’s goal?
What does he/she drive? Or, what means of transportation does your character utilize if cars or buses don’t exist in your setting?
Is your character’s current life anything like he/she expected it to turn out?
Which parent, guardian, family member, or mentor does your character take after most, and is that significant? How?
What from your character’s past has influenced how he or she currently interacts with the world?
What kind of childhood did your character have?
How were your character’s teenage years? Did they grow up fast or slow?
How old is your character, and can he or she pinpoint a favorite age? (For example, some people loved their college years, others love when their children are still young, etc.).
Describe past relationships your character has had, and what that character has learned from them.
What would your character look for in an ideal partner, and does that match the type of person he or she goes for in reality? Why or why not?
Describe your character’s sense of style.
What does your character’s way of speaking tell you about them? How is it received by other characters?
What’s one secret your character never wants to share (whether or not said secret does get shared)?
What types of insecurities does he or she have? Where do those stem from?
List some of your character’s strengths, and don’t be afraid to dig deep. Does your character see those as strengths, and how are they perceived by other characters?
How is your character socially? What about professionally?
Describe your character’s social circle. Is he or she comfortable branching out of that? Which parts of themselves are reflected in that circle?
What would your character enjoy despite not expecting to?
How does your character define–or even merely think of–success? Has that character achieved success, even in part?
How will your character know when he or she has made it….or will that character ever know?
What would pop into your character’s mind if he or she were to think of the word, “bliss?”
What is your character’s most shallow or superficial desire?
How does your character handle rejection? What about disappointment?
Who gets under your character’s skin? Why?
If your character could describe his/her perfect future to you, what would that look like?
What’s one thing you know about your character that he/she doesn’t yet?
Let me know if you have any questions, and happy writing!

What's with the authors that dont reply to cmts on their fics?
I hear you. Isn't it sad and frustrating to leave an appreciation cmt to someone for their effort-their creation, something they supossedly enjoy and never get, even a thank u, back? xD OH FO SHO.
Im not gonna lie, As a writer, I get so few cmts in my fics, that I speedy-gonzales-answer to them :') But often you may also need some inspo and a certain vibe to accept and answer to praise or to a bad review!
Maybe some authors that used to answer to cmts have quit their fandoms, ao3, they're busy, or simply dont care about what anyone hasta say (reality slap).
I think the middle ground is for authors is to put a simple "Thank you for your cmts" in the end notes. And everyone would be happy.
