ORCA Art Contest Winners!
1st Place [Empty Mirror by Loulios Kongkika]
(A pair of UE 900 Headphones and a copy of ORCA: Symphony No. 1)
I would have been honored to write this piece myself-- it's moving, visual, well executed and I love the touches of effects.
2nd Place [ORCA by Ahmed LLL Mohammed]
(A pair of UE 600 Headphones and a copy of ORCA: Symphony No. 1)
This piece makes me think of the starry night and the accompanying poem makes it a powerful multi-sensory artwork.
3rd Place [ORiginal CAlmness by Francisco José Hidalgo]
(A pair of UE 500 Headphones and a copy of ORCA: Symphony No. 1)
I voted for this one because of its transformative concept and clever use of the orca to that effect-- humorous too.
Honorable Mention #1 [ORCA by Vilma Pinczés]
(A copy of ORCA: Symphony No. 1)
A cool concept and a dark foreboding drew me to this piece.
Honorable Mention #2 [Anima Orcae by Alev]
(A copy of ORCA: Symphony No. 1)
It's very clean and poppy, but very well done.
Honorable Mention #3 [ORCA by Savannah Comer]
(A copy of ORCA: Symphony No. 1)
This is some very powerful and dark poetry.
--------------------------
These decisions were all very difficult because there ended up being way more top notch artists and concepts than I had anticipated. I want to thank everyone who inspired me with their art this week as I've sifted through all of your precious works.
Peace,
Serj

Place by Jame_s
The night is dark
the water is black
roses are grey
and grass is red
on this weird place
yes there exist a place...
But somewhere far away
where light is shining over the night,
there exist a place where butterflys
can fly
yes there exist a place...
Here, the water is not black
roses are red
and the grass has never been red
yes this is the place...
it is not a land
full of storms and wars
or even a worms
on this place...
people are better without swords
yes this is, arm less place...
amazing, wonderful, great, these words, cannot express this place

Man by Nando Adonis
Mans greatness has come to decay. Blinded by ego, he destroy anything that cross with his ambition. Years pass, and the empire grows, his name is pronounced with fear in every place of the earth, nothing stops him, no castle can contains his corrosive ego. Meanwhile, the world that saw him born is dieing, more grey, more dirty, the grass no grows, the animals are hunted and confined to cells. But no more longer Nature will let the man take everything that he wants, she will take what belongs to her. Life will be the same, and harmony will return.

Tears passing like a Giant waterfall
never wanted my faith to end like this
come to me my painfull sorrow
come to me against the mist
seen my life, seen my past
seen the history that flows and pass
move away and leave me with my tears
they need the water, they need the heat
i'll just be here chasing a dream
the dreams of them, the dreams of space
thouht it was me the better place
but my lungs are fading because of them
they're killing me, they're blind
maybe when i die they may be fine
i'll be gone, and im taking them with me
im suffering, but i cant tell them about it
ill just wait...
