An Opinion about Official English Twisted Wonderland and Announcement with Blog

Hello! Hi! ヾ(≧ ▽ ≦)ゝSo, as everyone knows, Twisted Wonderland has just announced they will be releasing the official translated English version of Twisted Wonderland ! Preregistrations are already opened and the plan of the game being officially released is sometime around January of 2022 (next year!) (＠＾０＾) It is very exciting to see the game getting translated as it would mean the game has been doing very well. However, there are some concerns with it.

One of them that was instantly nipped at the minute the English website was released was mistranslations. Yes, not a few, but many mistranslations. Many of the Japanese fans were discussing about each character’s lines and descriptions, an example being Leona’s line with “ain’t” being used when “isn’t” should’ve been used instead. Another one was pointing out the title Crowley was given and how inconsistent it was as well as again, incorrect term being used. Because of this, there are people in the English fandom, myself included that are concerned over this. I can not nor will I speak for others, but, for me personally, I’m really concerned how newer fans will interpret and hold opinions of the characters in the game due to these inaccuracies. There’s already a good 5% of misunderstanding already because of lack of consistency in fan-translations due to different translators translating the game. But, I personally prefer the fan translations more than officially translated mangas, games, animes in general because fan translators are able to take things in context and translate as such while writing notes/explanations why words/sentences were translated in whatever fashion they chose in hopes for everyone to be able to understanding why they chose to translate that way while official translators can’t and have to consider new players who aren’t familiar with the term equivalence used. With that in mind, I don’t think the translations is really bad. “First year” translated to freshmen, “second year” to sophomore - it’s NOT incorrect; those are the equivalence when comparing grade level terminology used in Japanese to Western school grade levels. In fact, fan translations shouldn’t really be seen as the “golden standard” or “official of official” but more like reference. Though “house warden” is jarring in so many levels, it’s also not really incorrect. As one of the translators have stated before, “ 寮長 “ ( “ryocho”) doesn’t directly translate to “dorm leader” but can be translated to dorm head, dormitory director, etc. Not going to lie, I get the sense of them attempting to convey that there are different “magical dorms” in Twisted Wonderland by using Harry Potter terminology with the ways of calling their dorms as “houses”. I could be wrong of course ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Just because I think this way with the translations doesn’t change again, my concern with how characters and the story will be interpreted by newer, English speaking fans. In fact, I honestly don’t think nor hope English VAs be used to voice the characters for the English version of the game because the “speaking styles” of the characters will definitely change and, from what I feel, be misrepresented compared to the original Japanese version like with the English dub/tl vs Japanese raw in anime or manga.

So yeah. Lot’s of thoughts and mixed feelings for the game right now. All of this being said, I do welcome any new fans to the fandom and followers to this blog, but any requests or writing I post will go by what was interpreted from the original Japanese version of the game including analysis. I do hope for the best and see the game reach new heights in terms of achievement and success!

Alive, Well, and Come Back

Hello everyone! q(≧▽≦q) It’s been such a while! I know I’ve been really quiet on my blog but I wanted to at least give an update since I felt like I owe everyone one especially to those that have been following me for such a long time. Things have been extremely tough, both in real life due to irl obligations and internet life where I got sent hate messages in the ask box (this I will explain later once I start officially posting). Though not everything isn’t well, I’m slowly transitioning back and finding ways to keep myself sturdy. While away I went ahead and started projects in relation to Twisted Wonderland which I will post once they’re completed and I feel 100% satisfied with. In regards to the ask box, it still is open. I did went ahead and deleted a lot of the messages in there other than the most “recent” or ones I had already started though due to said reason stated above in regards to what was being sent into it. The King Scholar, patron of logic and conquest, looked with eyes bright and knowing of the millennia past. Before him was you, with the mark of his patronage on your neck. His knowing gaze became one of contempt yet his curiosity at the veil you wished to cover your being with did not hide.

"Not since the end of the war." Said another attendant.

Centuries ago, the world entered into a period of darkness and greed. A time when both sides fought tooth and nail to dominate the other, a time when the gods and humanity saw the world for what it was: a battlefield. The coexistence that once prospered for millennia had been forced apart like taut bindings, blood was shed and homes were shattered, memories destroyed and innocence trampled. The world, with all the kindness that was cultivated by a gentle hand, had disappeared into the ash.

His hands that bore a heavy burden brushed against your neck to see the mark that made you his. From beneath the white veil that covered your face, your voice was but a gentle whisper of a gasp as you felt the rough skin of his palm. The mark of the King Scholar, the face of a lion that roared with fangs sharp painted your skin like shimmering ink.

It’s Mutual

A/N: It’s his birthday and I’m currently filled with a lot of rot, so I’m just hoping I can alleviate it after writing a bunch of stuff (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧ So yeah, expect there to be some Kalim related post for the next 6- er, now 5 days (since his birthday campaign started yesterday).

There are many times Kalim would surprise you or catch you off your guard. Other than all the close calls that happens on an everyday bases (oh, how you can relate to Jamil during those times), you often think he hides his true-self under the guise of smiling. One minute he would be smiling, the next, his expression would be serious, all traces of the smile gone. He would be quiet to suddenly being playful. But the worse of them all were the times when he would seem innocent, only to turn the tables and hold you in his arms with hidden flames burning in his eyes.

Holding your hand to having his arms wrapped around your waist with a smile full of desire and love on school grounds, reaching out in what seems to be an attempt for a hug only to trap you between the magic carpet and himself with a smirk on his face as he tilts your chin up with a hand – your heart really can’t rest when your around him.

Yet, if there was one thing he keeps consistently, it would be ensuring that the love between you and him is mutual. Just as much as you love him, he loves you just as much. The two of you may playfully compete who loves more, but in the end of the day, you both know the world wouldn’t be able to hold the love you hold for each other.

It’s why it didn’t matter whether he would be the one to lay his head on your lap or yours on his, he would always stretch his hand toward your face. Starting from brushing your cheek with the back of his hand to gently drawing circles with his thumb, there was always the same unmeasurable love in his eyes when he looks at you.

Thinking about this, it makes you sulk less as you kept your head on his lap. His hand never stops playing with your hair, humming a tune with a smile on his face. Seeing this, you let the topic go. He seems satisfied with just this – what’s the point of spoiling him more if he doesn’t want it?

As if sensing this, he pauses and looks down with the same ruby eyes you fell in love with a very long time ago. You expect him to say something, along the lines of talking about the party or the presents he got. Instead, he only continues to look at you as he places a hand on your cheek.

Ah. You say in your head, realizing what he’s wanting from you. Your face turns crimson as you hold yourself back from retaliating. To think he would use the cues you two agreed to like this-so cheeky. Nonetheless, you indulge him by gently placing your hand onto the back of his head and push him down towards you.

Your hand stays where it was when you both pull away, eyes never once breaking contact. You brush his hair, biting you lip from nervousness and contemplation. Kalim, always being the “all knowing” like always, doesn’t say anything, fully aware you wanted to say something and shows he’s willing to wait even a whole day for you to say what you want.

Finally, after internally freaking out and getting yourself back together, you muster your most courageous yet adoring smile.

“I love you.”

Eyes going wide, lips agape – it was worth saying it to him. After all, he usually has to initiate those words first for you to reciprocate those words, feeling happy when you reply with anything that ends with “too”. And after having done so for so long, you don’t blame him for looking so surprised.

“I love you too.”

Muttering his reply in a raspy voice, you let him take his fill, your heart full and warm from knowing what you said was the best gift you have given him so far.

Information as to Why Twisted Wonderland is NOT an Otome or Dating Sims Game

Hello Everyone! It’s been a while~ ヾ(•ω•`)o I finally found the courage to write Twisted Wonderland content after what happened a couple months ago, when I literally just came back, and while writing a couple of analysis I thought I would write this as an informative rather than an actual analysis of the game.

DISCLAIMER: This post is NOT by any means demeaning otome games or dating sims whatsoever. This was written to clear the misunderstanding people had on the genre of Twisted Wonderland and that anyone should be allowed to be play without feeling restricted or thinking it’s not something they want to try because of misunderstandings. Do NOT use this post as a source to offend people but please use it to inform others.

It’s no longer old news that Twisted Wonderland frequently gets called an “otome game” or dating sims by people who never played the game before. People on twitter, youtube, and even those that were trying to or supposed to advertise the game have often categorized it as such. This wouldn’t have been such a big deal had people recognize and acknowledge that the game isn’t after being explained to about it, but after hearing their arguments as to why they refuse to change how they think about it, the frustration pent up for nearly a year has finally bubbled over. Buckle your seats everyone cause today is the day this argument ends once and for all!

First off, let’s start off with what makes an otome/dating-sims an otome/dating sim. Both are very similar, where, according to Japan’s Wikipedia, Nico dictionary, Kotobanks, and many more Japanese dictionary sites, otome games (i.e. 乙女ゲーム) are games which includes a female MC who has the opportunity to attract the very attractive male characters in the game and enter a love route with each of them separately or harem-like. Dating sims are a bit different. Dating sims (i.e. 恋愛シミュレーションゲーム) falls into to two definitions with the first one being the exact reversal of otome: MC being male, the love interest characters being very attractive females. The second definition is the one many are familiar with – a romantic visual novel. Believe it or not the first definition is the original definition of what dating-sim games are, the second meaning derived from many attempts of using the term “dating-sim” incorrectly by the English speaking gamers to the point society now believes it’s the actual meaning.

However, this difference doesn’t change that both otome and dating sims are very close. Both genres include gender-specific MC(s) (there’s been games where a player can play either male or female), handsome/beautiful characters with their respective love routes, and a main plot to follow. In addition to this, when the game is in mobage format, there’s going to be showers of fan service in the form of events and gacha-cards, though, arguably, it doesn’t change the fact that the MCs would still be interacting with the characters romantically.

So, from the explanation written above, Twisted Wonderland falls into that category, right? Sorry not sorry, that’s wrong. Sure, Twisted Wonderland has many characters to swoon over since…I mean…they’re drawn and written by Yana Toboso and her staff and…there hasn’t been anyone so far who had the capability of saying no to characters she personally had drawn or created. But! It doesn’t mean that the game is a dating sim or otome.

One of the reasons Twisted Wonderland isn’t one of them is how the game is set up. There are no routes the MC can enter nor can the MC pick and choose which characters to focus on in general. Like FGO and Granblue Fantasy, the MC solely follows the main plot and has to interact with all the characters they’re introduced to whether they like it or not. The same logic is applied when playing events – the MC will be participating and talking to all the characters involved in the event. Not once does the game give the opportunity for the MC to choose who they can talk to and participate in the event with the person they chose. The only time it’ll be one-on-one is, most of the time, getting the desired character’s card through gacha or when the event sets the story where the MC has no choice but to talk to a character one-to-one. For the latter though, the MC isn’t going to be able to wish for the character they want to talk to – it’s completely random and up to the writers who they want the MC to interact with.

For otome and dating-sims alike, especially in mobage format, the MC has the opportunity to choose who they wish to focus on and interact solely with the characters they chose whether it’s the main story, event, and card story. It can even be arguably said that otome and dating sims focus solely on the MC and their love interest interaction more than anything else. As for Twisted Wonderland, again, that does not happen. Twisted Wonderland, in addition to progressing the main story and revealing more about the characters involved, focuses on everyone’s interaction with each other including the NPCs. The game shows the other characters that aren’t interacting with the MC talking to other characters and what role they were playing while the MC was busy with the group the writer had them interact with during that time. Even in the card stories, most of the card stories involve more character-to-character interaction rather than MC-to-character interaction.

Speaking of which, the MC in Twisted Wonderland, the game, is gender ambiguous. Not once did the game developers and story writers mentions the MC as a specific gender like the other romance games. Heck, most of the characters don’t even use a gender-specific pronoun such as 彼女 (“kanojo” = she) or 彼 (“kare” = he) when referring to the MC. They usually refer to the MC by their given position, 監督生 ( “kantokusei” = prefect). The only exception is when the game’s mascot and MC’s buddy, Grim (the blue-fire monster), who uses あいつ ( “aitsu”) which is a gender neutral pronoun that holds the vague meaning of “that one” or “that person”. There’s also the fact that the MC’s default name is ユウ (“Yuu”), which is name used by either genders in Japan and how the MC uses gender neutral pronouns when regarding themselves as 自分 (“jibun”) and others as 貴方/あなた (“anata”).

Even during the official advertisement, official summary, official game archive book ( i.e., Twisted Wonderland Magical Archives), and posts made by the staff on twitter, not once did they specify the gender of the MC. In fact, they never once even specified the gender of the audience they’re targeting the game towards nor say anything about there being romance or any hints of harem-esque situations that involves the MC in any shape or form. The most “direct” statement made by Twisted Wonderland’s staff was from an email a fellow Twisted Wonderland fan had sent to the staff after a magazine had advertised the game as “Disney’s first game for women”. The email from the staff mentions that they wanted the game to be enjoyed by everyone, REGARDLESS OF GENDER. (link to said post here)

If they had any intentions of making the game otome-like or dating sim-like, Aniplex, Disney, and Twisted Wonderland staff would’ve mentioned that the game has romance or the possibility for there being romance when releasing the story summary, game system set up, and their ads. Not only would they have done that to get the audience they wish to target but speaking of it legally, they are required to mention it since there’s liability on their part on informing their customers on anything they need to know in regard to the game they’re playing. Age restrictions, fees, game play, and the like – Twisted Wonderland also had to go through the same process like any other visual novel games to be developed and released.

In a way, Twisted Wonderland can be seen as another Touken Ranbu or KanColle, but with an actual main story plot to progress through. All three games’ MCs are gender ambiguous, great characters to throw-er-spend money on, and have fun game plays. Sure, unlike Touken Ranbu and KanColle, where their MCs continues to be gender ambiguous in their anime and manga adaptation, Twisted Wonderland’s MC in the manga adaptation ended up being male – however, a statement was released by Yana revealed that the MC in the game and the MC for the manga are not the same people. (Link here) Meaning, the “real” or “official” MC’s gender continues to be gender ambiguous for the sake of continuing to attract all genders to play the game.

All of this being said, Twisted Wonderland is a fun, visual novel game and supposed to be enjoyed by everyone – each to their own way and passion. No one shouldn’t be discouraged from playing it solely because of false advertisements or misconceptions made by others who haven't played the game yet.

I hope this clears things up and hopefully helps others persuade people into playing the game!

Vice Dorm Leader Study Date HC

Hello Anon! Sorry for the wait! I wasn’t quite sure what you wanted to see so I tried my best trying cover a lot of ideas OTL If this wasn’t what you wanted, please do request again with what you wish to see!

Trey

· Study dates with Trey are very rare

· He’s always busy due to his responsibilities as vice dorm leader while preparing to becoming a 4th year, so going on dates with you in general isn’t going to happen a lot

· When you do end up going on with him though, he would cherish them and try to make it last as long as possible, trying to catch up on all the missed times with you

· Usually, the study dates happen by Cater (best wingman ever by the way), who ends up stealing Ace, Deuce, and Grim from you on the days you’re supposed to study with them

· Whenever that happens, Trey gets a message with a “U owe me~ ;9” from Cater as said guy drags the “interference” away

· Trey: Cater, you shouldn’t be calling our underclassmen interference... Cater: Eh~ So, are you saying you don’t feel annoyed that they’re spending more time with you-know-who? Trey: …You don’t see me saying it up front now do you

· He would do his best to help you study, teaching you whatever you needed to know - tips, tricks, what topic that would be covered the most on the exam, etc

· Would he try to make you flustered and blush though? Yeah. He thinks you’re adorable when you blush – endearing, cute, someone he wishes to cherish with all his heart

· It’s why he would make passes on you, leaning towards you and brushing shoulders when he sits next to you as he helps explain something you don’t know or purposely having his hand graze yours as he points out something in the textbook or your notes

· Expect to be spoiled with all types of sweets and desserts when with Trey

· Cake? Cookies? Pudding? He would bring all sorts of things for you two to snack on when taking a break and studying, including tea. After all, you’re someone he happens to love so he has to somehow make it obvious one way or another

· Trey has younger siblings. It’s why he naturally wipes the crumbs off your face since it’s habit to do so. Yeah. That’s it. Totally not

· What isn’t natural is when, near the end of the study date, you would either hug or kiss him on the cheek, after finally understanding something or making progress, as thanks

· Covering half of his face, he would turn his face away to hide his red face that could rival Riddle’s hair, trying to tell you he was fine with a small stutter and wavering smile when you ask if he’s okay

· Now if only you would realize said study dates were actually dates and he likes you…

Ruggie

· Like Trey, Ruggie is a busy man. Busy doing Leona’s orders while chasing after all the money and food he could possibly get, so having study dates with him are also rare

· In fact, the percent of having study dates with him are lower than Trey’s because of how much work he’ll be forced to deal with

· It’s why, the only times he would be able to go on study dates with you are when you come visit Savanaclaw once every blue moon

· Most often you would come over because of Jack, whether it’s to just hang out, give him a memo, whatnot

· The thing is though, whenever you come over, you end up meeting Jack a bit later because something would always come up right when he’s about to meet you

· And it’s totally not suspicious that it happens whenever Ruggie is coming back to the dorms. 100% true.

· Don’t worry about Jack by the way. It so happens that a certain dorm leader kidnapped said wolf because he happens to be a good wingman when he’s bored

· Also, he’s running low on blackmail on Ruggie. Might as well get a refill when he can

· When seeing you alone at the entrance either being bothered by the other dorm members or looking bored, Ruggie ends up taking you to the lounge and chat with you

· The conversation always school orientated with school work and teachers coming up

· While you’re in the middle of complaining about Trein and Crewel again over their ridiculous assignments (like seriously, what’s so important about hair-color changing potions again? And what about the history of the school’s chandelier, is this shade???), Ruggie teases you about not being able to do something “as easy as that”

· He does his best to hide his soft side towards you when you sulk about it, seeing it as you pouting. Which is adorable and cute in his eyes and he loves seeing it

· Just as you’re about to get up and leave from getting annoyed, Ruggie quickly offers you his help on your assignments despite saying it in a teasing tone

· Yes, he likes to troll with people a lot but he can be serious when he wants to, evidently seen when he helps you through the questions

· His explanations aren’t great, yet he doesn’t give up trying to get you to understand and solve the questions

· Will he tease you while explaining? Yes. Will he snicker at you and give his infamous infuriating cute smirk? Yes.

· In the end, the assignment still gets done along with you feeling better with the concepts you weren’t so sure of thanks to him

· It’s his turn to blush as you give him a surprise hug, ending up covering his face with both hands and sigh once you let go

· As this happens, a certain lion continues to film the whole thing while covering the mouth of his “precious” kouhai with a smirk on his face. He’s not sorry when he shows it to Ruggie by the way.

Jade

· Having study dates with Jade happens more frequently than Ruggie and Trey’s solely because Jade would make sure he has one with you

· By that, he means using the pretext of having to “tutor” you per request by one of the staffs to get to go on one with you

· He will proudly say it’s his favorite excuse to use against Azul and Floyd since they wouldn’t be able to bother him nor interfere when he’s trying to spend some time with you

· Yes, he enjoys hanging around them for entertainment but he has his own limits too. Plus, he wouldn’t have to use….some other methods to get them off his back though he wouldn’t hesitate to do so if they interfere (cough blackmail cough)

· Studying with Jade is difficult no thanks to how much he enjoys teasing you

· He’ll be kind, polite, and courteous but he’ll do everything he can to get to see you blush

· Brushing shoulders and hands “incidentally” is nothing compared to the times he explicitly makes a move on you like gently cupping your hand whenever he takes your pencil so he could write some helpful notes in your notebook or sitting really close to you in general

· The worst part is how he’s actually good at teaching you with whatever you’re struggling with

· Makes good analogies, explains things thorough enough for you to grasp the foundation, surprisingly writes neatly and draw good diagrams – he truly lives up to his position as one of Azul’s hands and vice dorm leader

· That along with the fact he would be providing hospitability such as teas and snacks that you enjoy definitely makes him seem like a kind gentleman

· He enjoys teasing you during the whole time, having fun with your reactions his favorite other than seeing you blush being you being annoyed

· Just needs to shade here and there to get a good grasp and push your buttons only to get amused in the end from seeing you huff and pout or chuckle at any smart remarks you make towards him

· However, when you give him one your softest, genuine smile or initiate any physical contact yourself, it’s going to be his turn to blush and perhaps even tsun a bit

· Will go wide eyes at first with cheeks dust pink to turning lobster-red if you point it out while covering half his face and look away a bit

· Hugging is a whole different story though where you would be very successfully into getting Jade to go “Jade. exe has stopped working” after surprising him with one once you finally understand and get whatever you were confused with and do it out of happiness

· Once the date ends, he’ll show you out before going back into the dorm and find Azul and Floyd who he knew was spying during the whole thing

· He finds all the photos they took of him blushing and either would burn them or delete the files if saved on phone or PC

· He does secretly keep the ones that includes you looking happy or being close to him

Jamil

· Study dates with Jamil happens a good amount of time thanks to Kalim who makes sure it happens

· By that, literally Kalim would get everyone in Scarabia to help out but that’s another story for another time

· Out of all the vice dorm leaders, he’s the one that takes the study date seriously

· Wouldn’t really strike up a conversation because he would be focused on trying to get as much done as possible no thanks to how he’s busy in general

· That being said, most of the time would be more studying orientated

· Jamil would be attentive and help you with anything you need help with, going over them and making sure you get at least the foundations solid

· His explanation and tutoring skills are nearly par to Trey’s probably because of his many years of experience with Kalim, his sibling, and now, the other dorm members

· So, the idea of teasing you wouldn’t come up initially. Keyword: Initially

· Just because he’s focused on studying doesn’t mean he isn’t aware of his surroundings and other’s behaviors, especially yours

· He’s aware his attraction towards you is very much mutual since he practically caught you who-knows-how-many-times you looked at him, only to blush and stutter whenever he asks if there’s a problem

· Cue the teasing like the rest but unlike the other three above, his is more subtle

· He’ll be testing the water- see how far he can go with teasing you

· He honestly enjoys how you’re trying to keep a straight face, all cool and collected when he sits next to you to the point only a pencil case would slip through the space between you two

· Acting innocent and nonchalant, Jamil struggles to not smirk when he sees your ears turn red and the corner of your lips twitch

· Totally would pull “face too close for comfort” on you when he finds you getting distracted from whatever he explains something to you

· It would only happen once and never again though during the next few study dates since he’ll realize he nearly lost his self-control when he unconsciously and nearly closed the gap between the two of you

· What do you mean you heard him click his tongue? He did no such thing. It’s not like he was disappointed or anything because he wanted to-

· When you hug him, he’s not going to be calm. Whatsoever

· Pulls his head over his head and tells you not to come near him as he pulls his hoodie’s strings and try to cover his face completely

· This is when Kalim comes out of his hiding place and tries to get Jamil to calm down while telling you that he was “just passing by” when you ask where he came from

· It isn’t until he’s back at his room does he start calming down only to drag his hands down his face from realizing he messed up on trying to look cool around you

· Kalim: You like them that badly, huh~ Jamil: Shut up

Rook

· Study dates with Rook is bad for your heart. Not because he does weird things to you or anything. It’s just that…he’s rather direct. Very direct

· Although he does an excellent job teaching you, he doesn’t hide his attraction towards you at all

· Calls you all sorts of endearment without any shame when you come over to Pomefiore to have the study date with him: mon cœur, mon chéri, mamour, and more

· Like with everyone else he takes interests in, he very much likes to look at you. Even though it’ll distract you, he’s genuinely happy and in bliss getting to spend time with you

· To him, getting to see the you studying with such calmness makes him think you look absolutely enchanting, loving to see you putting effort and trying your best

· Despite being a hunter, he isn’t aware how you tend to look at him when he’s focused though nor does he know that you like seeing his serious side

· …and you probably shouldn’t since the minute he realizes this he probably would take advantage of it and cause you more problems down the road

· He spoils you a lot, mostly because he wishes to see you happy. Meaning, he would prepare all sorts of things to make sure you’re feeling comfy and happy when you’re with him

· In all seriousness though, he does education justice when he’s the one tutoring/teaching you

· Goes over everything thoroughly to the point where he would continue practicing and quizzing you until he knows you actually understand everything

· Every time you get something right, he praises you a lot to the point you would probably feel bashful

· When you’re feeling down or frustrated from the fact you can’t understand something or from anything in general, Rook is the one who’ll realize it first which often leads to him being the one to make you feel better in a short amount of time through words of encouragement

· In fact, he’s one of the two people who would be the best comforter of the vice dorm leaders

· By that, he’s the one you would probably pour your heart to without worries and end up feeling better after every single study date

· Hugging can go two ways with Rook

· When he senses you about to hug him (happens 90% of the time btw), he’ll hug you back with the same amount of excitement. He wouldn’t let go after you realize what you’ve done out of pure instinct and would instead hug you tighter while your face burns in his arms

· When you catch him off guard, he’ll freeze and blush, completely not expecting it. Probably would be his first time ever getting flustered too as he tries to quickly recover once you let go of him

Lilia

· Study dates with Lilia is more like a hang out than anything else

· He literally will pull the “immortal-being” card, where he’ll look over your shoulder and see what you’re doing before going on a long story-time telling of how each theorem, principle, historical event, etc. was discovered when he was whatever age-old at the time

· When dealing with assignments, he would complain about doing them, muttering along the lines of “back when I was in school, we didn’t have to do these”, “kids aren’t going to even use what they learned in real life”, and so on

· Don’t expect him to even attempt to study. He would ask you why he would ever need to when he lived who-knows-how many years and being at all those events that took place

· With all of that being said, you would think it would be impossible to get anything done, doing a great job distracting you especially when he just name drops a famous historical person and tells you the guy/gal’s life from baby to adult all in one go

· “That kid used to be so cute, as expected they would end up being this great”, “What’s this nonsense? How did that brat even did that when they couldn’t even answer 1+1 correctly”-

· However, when you try to study and start struggling, he would always help you

· There’s going to be teasing and he is very bold about it

· When you stifle a laugh from his stories, he sulks first only to kabedon you in your chair

· Leaning closer to you, he’ll ask whether you’ll take him seriousness now, gently holding your chin so you wouldn’t be able to look away

· He does end up letting you go with a smirk, giving you some space and time to get over what had happened in less than a minute, thinking that you looking like a deer caught in headlights with a bright blush made you look extremely adorable

· It’s not shocking that he teaches you well, especially when he’s the one that taught Sebek, Silver, and Malleus. How? He’ll never tell you how but the look their faces when you ask them makes you decide not to think about it further

· Lilia also happens to be the other greatest comforter, probably even better than Rook

· It’s because he raised three children on his own, he’s able to pick up any stress or sense the struggle you’re having when you do your assignments or studying before you say anything about it

· When it happens, he has you take a break on studying and lends you an ear, making sure you say everything that’s in your chest since he knows you’ll be needing it

· By the time he’s done helping you and you hug him out of gratefulness, he’ll be surprised and widen his eyes at first

· He does quickly recover and hugs you back with a satisfied smile, rather seeing you happy and filled with joy than anything else

· And it’s obvious that’s the case since once you leave, Malleus, Silver, and Sebek would ask him if anything good happened

Malleus Winter Date HC

Hello Anon! ヾ(≧▽≦*)o Sorry for the wait! I had a bunch of fun writing this one! It was really cute and so fluffy~ I hope you enjoy it!

· Going on a winter date with you took a while for him to propose from the start

· Sure, he had night dates with you many times but ones in the day were rare, mostly because of his dislikes of the gossips most of the students would spread about you

· It doesn’t fail to amuse him how you were more wary of the stares given by the other students when you have no problem naturally talking and hanging out with him

· Still, he didn’t want to see you hurt and make those painful expressions when you hear someone say something bad about him, hence the issue at hand

· He intended to head over to your dorm and spend time with you there until, after a lot of nagging from Lilia’s side and getting exhausted from Sebek’s constant guarding, he finally decides to ask you out during winter break

· Malleus smiles genuinely and gently when you say yes with a smile filled with excitement

· Poor guy spent the whole night before, trying to figure out how to ask you out since it would be his first time going on this so called “winter date” with you

· Heck, he even went as far as researching through all the texts he could get his hands on

· Yes. Books. He may care for Lilia and appreciate the things he does for him but he didn’t trust the methods he would suggest

· The last one Malleus listened to didn’t work out so well. Who knew a human can get a fever after trapping them against a wall?

· Besides, the two of you would enjoy dates in your own way instead of following the typical trends couples would follow on Magicam, like the one right now

· The two of you walk around the school, enjoying the beautiful winter scenery

· While in the middle of talking about the gargoyles being covered in snow, he freezes – eyes widening a bit when he feels your warm hand wrapping around his

· Despite having turned your head away from him, seeing how the tip of your ears being red brings a smile to his face as he returns the gesture with a slight a squeeze

· Later on, during the walk, he learns the joy of building snow people and creatures

· Although he does think building snowmen are cute with little snow bunnies here and there, he does argue back snow gargoyles are just as cute

· The two of you end up reconciling after building mini snow people versions of you, him, and Grim in the midst of all the other snow sculptures the two of you had built

· When he hears you sneeze, he uses magic to warm you up before taking you back to Ramshackle

· Malleus did insist that the two of you teleport back, getting worried about human’s fragility especially when getting sick, he ends up giving in and walk back with you

· It doesn’t mean he lets go of your hand. He’s still holding it, making sure warmth travels all over your body

· This especially stays true when you let go of his for a bit and wrap your scarf around him

· Gently adjusting the scarf around his neck, his smile doesn’t go away while being by your side

· Once the two of you enter the dorm, Malleus gets a fire going in the fire place in the lounge and have you sit in front of it with a blanket wrapped around you

· Malleus didn’t let you get up until you were finally able to persuade him with, that you’ll come right back with snacks and drinks

· Well. That and also with him finally getting tired of listening to Grim complaining being hungry while having to suffer from watching you and him be “lovey dovey”

· He doesn’t know what that means, but he can assure Grim that the two of you aren’t being “lovey dovey”; just spending time because you love each other, that’s all : (

· Don’t get him wrong, he had hot chocolate before and likes the rich warm drink

· However, it’s his first time ever having it made from someone he loves romantically

· The fact that you’re the one that made it makes the drink even more special, making him purposely take smaller sips compared to usual, for the sake to have the drink last longer and allow him to savor something you made for him

· `Cause he knows nothing lasts forever. He may live for hundreds of years but he’s aware of how short yours is

· Maybe it’s why he cherishes these small things even more. Since he’ll never know when again he’ll get to meet someone like you again – someone who will treat him as an equal, without fear and fret. Someone who will love him just like you right now

· Malleus breaks out of his thoughts when he hears you scold Grim for trying to steal one of the marshmallows in his cup, choosing to savor the moment over thinking about his fear for the future as he smirks at Grim

· Soon enough, Grim ends up napping on your lap while Malleus cuddles with you on the sofa after all the laughter and teasing that went on

· When he sees your head bobbing back and forth, trying to prevent yourself from falling asleep, he takes your now empty cup out of your hand and gently places your head on his shoulder

· Without saying a word, he gently brushes your hair out of your face before kissing the crown of your head, thanking you inside his heart for being by his side and confessing his love for you again
