Obey Me Devildom

*I've always wanted to write about little Fluffy segments on the side about how MC felt in a new place like the Devildom with all these people she should be afraid of but finds an odd sense of belonging.

So this is just my small take on it.*

The Always Famished Sixth Born…

"…So, can I eat now?…"

Getting used to the food down here was getting easier, but I found craving food from home was inevitable given half the things in the Devildom were something a human being shouldn't necessarily consume.

It was a good thing Solomon could help in getting me a few basic ingredients I can work with. Sitting at the far side of the Lunch room at RAD, the smell of home embraced me as I opened my lunch box.

A shadow was cast over the table, making me look up to see Beelzebub standing there.

"What is that?" He pointed at the white mass wrapped in plastic seal.

"It's a pork bun." I'd learned how to make it from a chinese cuisine cookbook, it was an easy enough recipe and the ingredients were staple items in nearly everyones kitchen cupboards. "Would you like to try some?"

I had never seen someones face light up so brightly, and it made me feel a little warm inside.

"You would share with me?" He seemed genuinely surprised that anyone would give up their food willingly. It wasn't really that big of a deal for me.

"You can have it." His eyes went round like saucers.

"You're going to give me all of it?" Already he was munching it down, bite after bite.

"It's not a problem, I can make some more after school."

He looked at me with admiration.

"You MADE this? I've never had something that tastes like this before."

"They're pretty easy to make, I can show you if you want."

"I don't know if you can make enough to feed me." Still, he looked excited. "But I'd love to see you try."

For the first time since coming to RAD, I had someone sitting next to me at lunch time. And it just so happened to be one of the Seven Demon Princes of the Devildom.

I could feel multiple pairs of eyes on me, not really blaming amy of the other demons for their sudden interest.

"Just because you shared your lunch with me, don't expect me to share mine with you." He frowned at me.

I wasn't counting on it.

"Not to worry. I have other things in my lunch box I can eat." I would really have liked eating the pork bun, but beggers can't be choosers and I was just glad he didn't want to eat me. I watched as he happily ate everything on his lunch tray like it was the last meal he would ever have.

After the custard incident that resulted in my room being remolded and also having Beelzebub offer the other bed in his room, I found him a lot more approachable.

But I also found that he was hiding a lot of things too.

In fact, I had a feeling that all of the brothers were hiding a lot more of themselves not only from me, but from each other.

I've seen the way Beelzebub moons over not hearing from his younger brother, and I know that Belphegor felt the same way given they share such a special bond.

"I have to go to Fangol Practice." Beelzebub announces all of a sudden. "We have a game to get ready for this weekend." I was told Fangol was a lot like football back where I came from, and if I knew anything he definitely had the kind of build for such a contact sport. He gave me a small smile as he stood up. "I'm still holding you to that cooking lesson."

Well there was no way I was getting out of that one now.

Anime that Raised me...

Cardcaptor Sakura

This was back when the Internet was barely in full swing, and I had to wait for each episode every week.

To say I had the best patience to watch it on TV, compared to the access we have to Anime now, I really have to pay myself on the back.

I guess you could say I wanted to be like her.

I had the biggest crush on her brother and I always wanted a set of my own clow cards.

It still, to this day, is one of my top fave anime.

Sailor Moon

I know what you're thinking, I have a thing for Magical girl type Anime.

Well the way I grew up, I loved Magic & Fantasy.

Not to mention stories of lost Princesses from other worlds.

My fave Sailor would definitely have to be Sailor Mercury.

Dragon Ball Z

Apart from absolutely loving Magical Girl Anime, I was also a tomboy that was absolutely obsessed with Dragon Ball Z.

Vegeta would have to be my fave character (especially because Goku was too much of an airhead - even though he was such a good guy).And I really liked future Trunks.

I loved the storyline, being the tomboy that I was.

Not to mention the Dragon Balls and the wishes you could make.

Pokemon

Right from the beginning.

As an avid animal lover, and loving adventures, this was the perfect anime for me.

I aspired to be like Misty (because I love the water.)

And Eevee is my favourite Pokemon.

Digimon

Even though it kind of reminded me of Pokemon, I did like the fact that it had a lot of differences too.

Like the fact that the creatures could speak.

And the whole digital world.

Yi-Gi-Oh

Everyone in my family knew how to play this game, we all had our decks made to suit us (mine was a water-fairy type deck) with our own coloured covers.

We also had battles all the time.

The Narcissistic Fifth Born…

"I look dazzling today as well, don't I?…"

"Why don't you wear something other then the boring ensemble hanging in your wardrobe?"

Asmodeus always had a habit of making everyone else's fashion choice, and today I just so happened to be his next target.

I was a little surprised he even noticed me, let alone what I was wearing.

It's not like I had many options in the Devildom, I didn't exactly pack to go on a year long internship.

"These are the only clothes I have."

"That just won't do." He clicked his tongue. Grasping my hand in his, he proceeded to drag me down toward the same room as before which was filled with clothes and multiple mirrors.

"Pick four outfits." He prompts as he moves me to the center of the room rather abruptly.

I lifted my brow quizzically.

"I don't think that's…" He waved his hand in dismissal.

"You need at least four outfits each for certain occasions. And it helps that everything you choose mixes and matches with the other pieces."

He began throwing articles of clothing on the bed, some colours I could never bring myself to wear along with some very risque-looking pieces of fabric.

"I can't wear those!" I help up the thing that was barely there. "I may as well wear nothing at all."

He laughed, almost indulgently.

"It's to wear underneath your chosen attire silly, although I wouldn't be opposed to you wearing them or not."

Even though Asmodeus was such a natural flirt, I couldn't believe he'd suddenly turned his charms on me.

"I'll think about it." Spying a few tops and a few bottoms, I reached for four of each and gathered them in my arms. "Thank you for the clothes, I will pay you back as soon as I can."

Again, he waved his hand carelessly.

"Think nothing of it, just promise me I get to see you in those undergarments." Suddenly his smile looked almost rakish. "Or better yet, should you need any help with putting them on, I would be happy to lend a hand."

I couldn't stop the blush from spreading across my face, so I quickly got out of that room as fast as I could.

But not before I could hear the sound of his laugh following me down the hall.

The Cynical Fourth Born...

"I'm just your average guy, don't you think..."

"What are you reading?"

At first I thought he was being sarcastic, but the curious look on his face said he was serious.

I never had the chance to bring any books with me, but thanks to my D.D.D I was able to download free eBooks over the internet.

"It's about a cursed Prince who must find someone that loves him from the inside rather than his looks. He is made to look so hideous that whoever looks upon him cowers in fear."

Although he looks rather skeptical, Satan remains silent so I can continue the story.

"One day something happens, and he stumbles upon a girl he had never come across before. Someone who loves books.

"She's afraid of him at first. Then she sees him as a bully who's used to getting his own way.

"But dispite all of that, she grows quite fond of him and they become quite close."

"Surely no normal woman would be attracted to a hideous creature?" Satan seemed quite puzzled over this.

"Where she came from, she was far from normal. People called her weird and tended to discourage others from speaking to her. But she didn't care. She didn't need anyone, or so she thought."

Throughout the story I found Satan had settled himself in to the seat next to mine, his eyes watching avidly as I described the plot unfolding.

I'd never felt anyone this interested in what I had to say for a long time, and I had to admit I liked that feeling.

"Something horrible happens, the village she came from believed she is kidnapped by the creature and they gather in a mob to storm his large estate."

Satan was mesmerized, not once breaking his silence.

"The creature was so severely injured, they both knew that he would surely die. That was when the woman realized that she was in love with him, and begged him to live so that she could continue to love him for the rest of their lives."

Pausing for a moment, I saw the way he leaned in for more, making me feel really bad about what I was going to do next.

"What happened?" He urged me.

"The creature passed on, leaving the young woman heartbroken. It got to the point that she wanted to kill herself."

Satan looked absolutely crestfallen.

"That can't be..."

"Only he didn't allow it. He came back as his pre-cursed self, which to her he seemed like a stranger. But she grew to love him again eventually."

After sitting there for what seemed like an eternity, Satan suddenly stood up.

"I apologize for the sudden departure, but I have to go." But before he left, he gave me a small smile. "Thank you for the story, I thoroughly enjoyed it."

So did I...

The Hardcore Otaku Third Born...

"Henry, I talked to a human stranger today..."

During Art class I found myself staying behind during lunch time, stenciling an outline of my favourite Anime character in my sketchpad.

I gave up trying to make friends with anyone.

Usually, I tended to stick with Simeon and Luke. But the Angels were with Solomon discussing the upcoming festival with Barbatos.

I roughly tried to draw the eyes of my character and decided they could be better before I rubbed it out.

 " You're really good at that."

I could say I was getting used to being frightened, but no normal human being would ever be used to that kind of thing here.

I looked up to see Leviathan standing over me, his hands buried in his pockets as he grudgingly admired the progress of my picture so far.

"Thanks, I still can't get the hands right though and it's annoying the hell out of me."

He only smirked a little.

"Maybe you should try using tutorials. They're easy enough to look up on your D.D.D."

I'd thought about doing that. But some things were still too hard to attempt even with tutorials.

"Do you have a favorite Anime character you love?"

There was a snort that escaped him, making a small blush steal across his face.

"Her name is Ruri Chan, she is my one and only." I could see that he was obsessed with her, the twinkle in his eyes was a dead giveaway. "I buy everything with her on it, demon or human form."

Huh?

"What's it about?"

He gasped as if not knowing about this particular anime was a war crime.

"She's a Demon wandering around in the human world, just so she could learn about it. The problem is she loses her powers when she goes to the mortal world, turning in to a human while she's there. But when she returns to the Devildom, she takes her physical demon form."

"That sounds fascinating." And I knew once I had the chance, I was going to look it up. "I do believe I have something new to binge watch."

His face was thoughtful as he gazed at me, making me feel as if something was on my face.

"If you want, you can borrow mine." Then he stuttered as an after thought. "As long as as you remember to return them. I'll give them to you when we get back to the House of Lamentation."

Realising what he had just done, he quickly shuffled his feet. "Anyway, I gotta go, I'll see you later." Then he quickly hurried out the door.

Making me think that maybe things are getting a bit better here in the Devildom.
