That unnecessary bed sharing scene in season 2 is proof to me that the makers did wanted to suggest some sort of possibility of romantic relationship between Ellie and Alec, they just never wanted to make it out loud onscreen

Holmes Of Kyoto Episode 3 & 4- Not Mysteries and Festival of Exes
Holmes Of Kyoto Episode 3 & 4- Not Mysteries and Festival of Exes
Episode 4
I know no employer, especially of a coffee shop like an antique shop who will take you on a trip after knowing you for barely weeks to raise your spirit. However, if any such kind soul is out there, feel free to offer me a job. Somehow, with how Holmes is usually portrayed and it’s not like this anime is sticking to tradition beyond the name, but still, I never expected Kiyotaka to have…

Phantom In The Twillight Episode 3-Again?
Phantom In The Twillight Episode 3-Again?
I’m starting to think they’re never getting Shinayo back. This is a bit over the top. Those girls are never going to actually get back to school at this rate and that worries me more than anything.  Shinayo is probably going to become a companion to Chris who is finally going to change him or something like that- I’m calling it!

It’s weird, I didn’t think I was going to enjoy this show. As it…

Banana Fish Episode 3- Jail Time!
Banana Fish Episode 3- Jail Time!
I think I’m starting to get the hang of Ash as a character. This is the first episode we spent entirely at Ash’s side. And what do we have? We have an ill-tempered but smart, revenge-driven but a cautious boy with a realistic outlook. There were moments where his intelligence shines through but also times where he just acts plain reckless. Sometimes, it’s clear he intentionally gets in trouble,…

Holmes Of Kyoto Episode 2- Not A Mystery
Holmes Of Kyoto Episode 2- Not A Mystery
So, cases are going to be included. Cases that are somehow related to artwork, which is Kiyotaka’s specialty. I’m not sure if I missed some part of the episode, but I didn’t get why a family would come to Kiyotaka- a curator- with a case about recieving threatening letters instead of going to a detective or you know, police.

As for the mystery, well, it was as basic it could get. The twist…

Phantom In The Twilight Episode 2- Not Bad!
Phantom In The Twilight Episode 2- Not Bad!
I wasn’t on board at all during the first episode and now I’m starting to somewhat like this. It’s like once they got over the awkward first introduction, the characters started to get some semblance of personality. Vlad, Wayne and Ton’s conversation actually flowed really well. Vlad getting over his grumpy pants ways helped the exchange, no doubt. Rijan’s starting to question things, a big…

Wotakoi -Love is Hard For An Otaku Review- Not Really
Wotakoi -Love is Hard For An Otaku Review- Not Really
Synopsis: Momose Narumi is used to keeping her Otaku habits a secret while Nifuji Hirotaka couldn’t be bothered. What happens when this two people start dating?
As the name suggests, Wotakoi is the story of two, well actually, four with love problems. It’s a neat little comedy, limited to only four people for the most part, though it does include new characters towards the end. This is also the…

Banana Fish Episode 2- In Another Country
Banana Fish Episode 2- In Another Country
Not a spoiler free review.
I really like the pacing. I’m tempted to say it’s a little rushed at some parts but I’m assuming they want to get things in motion by the third episode. I haven’t read Banana Fish but from what I see of the rating for the manga and the lack of a rating for the anime, they probably had to clip and censor scenes. I’m not a big fan of the action scenes though. They are…

Holmes of Kyoto Episode 1- First Impression
Holmes of Kyoto Episode 1- First Impression
The closest thing I’ve ever come to a Sherlockian setting in anime is probably Ghost Hunt, where Naru and Mai definitely had that Sherlock-Watson thing going on. It’s not exactly in your face, but you can tell some inspiration is taken.
Our main character, Yagashira Kiyotaka, is certainly like his nickname’s namesake on some parts. He’s sharp, can tell a lot about a person by looking at them and…

Wotaku Ni Koi Wa Muzukashii Episode 2- They Are Dating?
Wotaku Ni Koi Wa Muzukashii Episode 2- They Are Dating?
Even though the episode was about a bunch of Otaku doing Otaku things, as the show reminded us constantly, it was pretty hilarious. That said, it would be good if they adjusted the pace between Narumi and Hirotaka’s relationship a little better or give us at least a time frame because the way these characters talk, it either feels like it’s been forever or it was yesterday.

Tada Never Falls In Love Episode 3- Cat Day
Tada Never Falls In Love Episode 3- Cat Day
I liked this episode so much. The world is always so much more interesting from the perspective of a cat. It helped that we got a feel of exactly what they were going for here. This episode again had the old school vibe that I liked so much in the first episode.  I love how they gave Nyanko Big a deep inner voice but when they he speaks(cat talks) it’s just a soft cranky cat. Seeing an outsider…
