random idea/snippet recording

"You could be a surgeon!" [Arden's mom] exclaimed. Fynley laughed nervously.

"I absolutely could not," he said, his voice a bit shakey.

"But you have all of these ointments and creams and medicines - and look how clean you cut that plant open!" She gestured to a thick, aloe-like plant, secreting a yellowish liquid. Fynley paled.

similar to a mushroom i came up with for SODAS! the bleeding shroom secretes a thickish crimson liquid when punctured or injured. the secretion, like in the bloodwood tree, heals the shroom, but when harvested and prepared correctly it has blood restoration properties!

Pterocarpus Angolensis is a tree native to South Africa. It’s also commonly known as the bloodwood tree due to the fact that when it’s chopped or damaged, a deep red sap which looks eerily similar to blood, seeps from the tree. In fact, the purpose of the sap is to coagulate and seal the wound to promote healing, much like blood.
