maybe a crazy take idk but i dont actually think many scenes in stories are 'unneccesary' i think they just make people uncomfortable and rather than try to understand the significance of that discomfort and why the author mightve deliberately inflicted it, decide that discomfort = bad, therefore that scene + the author are both bad

All the MLs have been fired.

No I’m not kidding, I wish I was kidding.

At about midnight GMT [i don’t care to find out what that is in Kim time], the following email came out.

There’s a few things I want to bring attention to:

They’re only giving 4 days to respond: on Easter weekend. This means that people will struggle to get in touch with lawyers regarding the new agreement, which still has issues, that I will come to.

They’re still using the identification program that was investigated by congress, despite the concerns raised.

They’re kicked MLs from the ML forums and taken their ML status, without warning.

They’re saying that MLs don’t need to inform participants. Which, now they’ve shut down the official ML communication space, sounds like they’re tryna make the MLs shut up. And is especially worrying since participants haven’t heard anything since the email on March 3rd.

As an aside, the regions themselves were wiped of icons and headers:

The problem with this, besides the general disrespect, is, in the words of one ML: ‘Guess it sucks to be you if you inherited the header & profile pic from a previous ML and don't have the files’. So regions have been permanently affected by this.

Now, the agreement itself.

I’m not gonna do a full dissection because I am not a lawyer but I have two thoughts.

There is too much ‘will be described in training’ here. Contracts are long, Kim. I heard you say that you didn’t want it to be long but that’s what contracts are for. People need to know what they’re signing.

So minors can go to in person events, but can’t get dates for them from the regional sites or remain in contact with people met at the events through the regions. Right.

I refuse to believe that this is incompetence anymore. Kim revoked access to the one remaining ML space without warning as MLs were starting to turn against her on a wider scale. This isn’t a mistake.

Kim Palacios, we can see through this shit. Step the fuck down and get outta here, because all you’re doing is driving a sinking ship into an iceberg.

I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

Thought I would do this since I do have one (1) singular scene that occurs in a car.

The taxi pulls to the curb and comes to a halt. Danny takes out a wad of cash from somewhere in his shirt and hands it to the driver. He hesitates. “This is way more than–” “Consider it incentive to not tell anyone you saw a [Redacted :P].” “Sure thing.” Lara opens her mouth to argue, but Danny's intense eyes keep her quiet. “You’re staring again.” “Sorry…” She clears her throat, and turns to kick Jackie—she knows her roommate well, it takes a good jolt to wake her up—as Danny opens the door to step out onto the sidewalk. Even the way he steps out of the car is like a delicate dancer. “I’ve just never met a vampire before.” He smiles, all traces of his glare gone, as he does a little bow and holds out his gloved hand to help her out of the cab. Again, unnatural stillness. “Then I should make a good impression.” Lara can’t help but smile back, taking his hand.

They yank your head up and tear the blindfold so you can see their horrible masks—royal armor, sleek black but shining, with abyssal crescents for eyes. “What were you doing with the princess in Darscafor?” Princess? Your mind races, that red hair flashing behind your eyes. “What did you do to her?” “I saved her.”

3. Mentions Texture

He nods, and she steps forward to press into him, despite the roughness of his armor. Though her touch is light, light enough that he can barely feel it through the metal, he does feel the softness of her hair against his chin. “I’m sorry.” “It was not your fault.” His heart pounds in his chest, aching. “I would do it again.”

The creature looks over its shoulder, and even from the distance, he feels its eyes daring into him. At first, normal eyes, but they flash sliver, as quick as a blink. But it does nothing. It doesn’t shift or approach or vanish into fog. Staring down its hunter, his poised arrow means nothing to it. Eyes bleed silver, this time holding. It is not The Wolf.
