Hvítserkur, otherwise known as the Troll of Northwest Iceland, is a 15 m (49 ft) tall basalt rock stack protruding from Húnaflói Bay. A great spot for bird watching, as lots of species live on and around the rock, surrounding cliffs, beach and ocean. Nothing says Happy Birthday like #ColinTheCaterpillar and coffee In the car at Borgarvirki Looking at the frozen ocean and mountains. This was the site of an epic siege then the people trapped decided to throw 3 days rations, which was all they had left, over the walls, to bluff the invaders about how much food they had, and that they could sit this siege out far longer than the invaders had thought.... Which they couldn't... But they didn't know that... How long did I spend looking at the little guy thinking he was the adult... Ironbridge gorge, from the Bridge, wintertime in England can be really beautiful, however grim it feels, cold, damp, then dry and icy, but beautiful. The coricle iron statue shows how the river was navigated and crossed. They still build these now here and have loads of info in the museum. Various museums about local life the bridge, the iron works, tiles, coricle and history all around the local area.
