The Tower

GANE: We tracked Byr's frequency to this structure. This is the last image from our scouting probe before we lost contact. It appears there is a permanent storm surrounding the tower and our probe most likely got struck by lightning. Apart from the storm there are mountains constantly streaming various liquids, with only two identified as water and some form of lava. We do not know what purpose or capabilities this tower may have, but we do know it is surrounded by strange and dangerous obstacles. Mortilla: What about the stuff in the center? Do we have any idea what that is? GANE: From the images we received, it appears to be a mass of metal objects. We could tell there was movement, but we were too far to get any clear ideas as to what was moving or why. WREND: So what's the plan? We smash in there, grab Byr, and get out? GANE: Unfortunately, that storm is too dangerous for any of our ships to reliably navigate. If we go through the storm, we may not be able to get off planet after. We need to land outside the storm and work our way to the tower. DIERSO: We still don't know if Byr's alive right? Let's hurry up and go get him. WREND: Maybe he's already broken out and will need a ride. GANE: Either way, we head out immediately. My ship and four others are ready. Since time could be crucial and we don't know what we're walking into, we will each lead a ship down to the surface and approach from different angles with one ship left in orbit to support. One of us should be able to find a good path to this tower and retrieve Byr. If you have any other preparations, make them quick. We rendezvous in orbit. Go.
