“Prom” Clay Jensen x Jensen!reader

Request: Hello! Do you think you could do a Jensen one from 13RW and sister reader? He looked so lonely at prom and I was wondering if he could get a little something where he just has a fan eve with his sister? Like they dance and he feels happy, he deserves it so much 😭 thank you!

Senior Prom. The Night you had been waiting for since you were little.

Thank God Jessica somehow convinced Bolan not to blow it off. Prom was the little bit of normalcy that you all so desperately needed. 

Not much of your and your friends High School experience was normal. A lot of shit happened that kids should not have to deal with. 

The last few weeks were especially hard on you and even more so on your twin brother Clay. He had suffered multiple panic attacks and altogether just wasn't himself. It hurt you more than anyone to see him like that because you two had always been very close.

It started with Hannah's death. You watched him change from the brother you knew, to a shell of who he once was.

No matter how hard you tried to be there for him, he just wouldn't let you.

But today was Prom. The one Night to forget about everything life had thrown at you in the past couple of years and just be Teenagers. And you would not let anything get in the way of that.

That was until you noticed Clay sitting all alone at a table, while everyone else was having the time of their lives around him. You tried to ignore it and go back to dancing with your Date but it was impossible.

"I'll be back in a minute" you said with a sigh and made your way over to your brother.

"Having fun bro?" Apparently he hadn't noticed you coming over, because he seemed startled by your question.

"Uhm yeah... obviously. Can't you tell?" he sarcastically replied. One of the few things that were still the same about him.

"Sure you look like you're having a blast sitting here all by yourself at our Senior Prom." Good thing that you could be equally as sarcastic. It at least got a smile out of him.

"Go back to your date Y/N. Or is he so boring that you would rather spend the evening with me?"

With a sigh, you took a seat beside him.

"No he's not. But I can't enjoy shit when I see you like this. Because I happen to want you to have fun" you admitted.

Clay's gaze shifted to you, his expression solemn.

"I don't feel like I'm able to anymore. Nor do I deserve it." he stated quietly.

It broke your heart to hear him say that.

"But you do though Clay, more than anyone. You deserve at least one night of carelessness after everything. I wish you could see that."

His brows were furrowed, lips pressed together. 

"I guess I could try. Will you help me?" 

A smile grew on your face. 

"Of course. Come on." He took your outstretched hand and followed you to the dance floor. 

Just then a song you both listened to all the time when you were younger came on. You shrieked in excitement. "It's a sign Clay! The universe wants you to have fun too!"

He couldn't hold back a laugh. "Finally the universe gives a shit about my feelings." You joined him in his laughter and started dancing like no one was watching.

As the two of you danced, it suddenly felt like you had traveled back in time. Back to happier times. A time where Clay told you anything and so did you. The memories almost brought tears to your eyes but you composed yourself.

Now was not the time to cry, you had certainly done enough of that. Now was the time to dance with your brother and enjoy life, even for just a moment.
